Hi Everyone. I hope you have been enjoying the weekend despite the rubbish weather. Today I have my April GlossyBox to show to you and my initial thoughts of the products.

This month's limited edition box is 100% biodegradable

The ethical products inside

My Thoughts:

This has a very subtle scent to it. The consistency is a milky cream that sinks into the skin nicely. The price is a little more than I would usually pay for a face serum, but I will enjoy trying it out.

Inika Cosmetics Certified Organic Lip Liner (01 Safari) ~ £11.75 Per Liner

The Information:

An organic mineral lip liner formula designed to glide easily over lips while delivering lip definition and even colour. Use to define your lips or to give your lipstick shade even greater depth of colour and staying power. • Natural mineral pigments.
  • Accentuates the shape of your lips.
  • Gives your lipstick shade even greater depth of colour.

Application:

To create fuller lips draw slightly out side of your lip line with your chosen Inika Mineral Lip Liner. To make full lips appear smaller draw just inside your natural lip line.

Ingredients:

Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate; Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Glycerides; Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil; Almond (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) Oil; Carnauba Wax; Black Lovage (Olus) Oil; Candelilla Wax; Mica; Sesame Seed (Sesamum Indicum) Oil, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides; Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate; Glyceryl Caprylate; Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate); Sorbic Acid. May contain: CI77289, CI 77510, CI77742, Iron Oxide (CI 77499); Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

This shade is described as an earthy, warm brown. Silky and rich to compliment brown shades of lipstick.

My Thoughts:

I'm hoping that I can make this deep brown lip liner work in some way as I don't tend to wear a lot of brown lipsticks. I think I may use it as a base for lipstick and/or lip gloss to perhaps deepen the shades. It's good that it's full size, but I believe these pencils usually come with a sharpener in the lid so is this the older design?

Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium laureth sulfate, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Cocamide DEA, Polyquaternium-7, Coco-glucoside, Glyceryl oleate, Decyl glucoside, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Glycerin, Parfum, Rosa centifolia (rose) flower water, Jasminum officinale (jasmine) oil, Aloe barbadensis, Sodium chloride, Dicaprylyl ether, Lauryl alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Magnesium nitrate, Methylisothiazolinone, Magnesium chloride, CI 17200, Linalool, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde, Citronellol, Limonene.

My Thoughts:

My bottle just says Rose not Indian Rose, but I take it that it's the same product. When searching for various links of this product I noticed it showing up with different packaging as well so is my packaging old or new? Anyway on to the product. Another full size which is fab. This product has a pretty, soft rose scent.

Left To Right:

*Naturally occurring component of essential oils.

My Thoughts:

I really love the design of this vintage tin and it's very compact to carry around. It does have a cherry & vanilla scent which I am undecided if I like. A good price though and the one I received is full size.

Yes! Nurse Protect Your Lovely Hands ~ £5.45 For 50ml

The Information:

Yes! Nurses' 'Protect Your Lovely Hands' is a natural emollient cream developed to counteract lipid barrier depletion and subsequent transepidermal water loss (TEWL) amongst users. The product has been independently safety assessed and certified the following:
  • Dermatologically tested as a 'Non-Irritant'
  • Compatible with hand hygiene agents (Alcohol Gels/Sanitisers & Hand Washes) regulated to EN1499 and EN1500 standards
  • Compatible with surgical gloves
This 24h 'Super Moisturiser' is packed full of essential Omega's and antioxidants to hydrate and revive tired skin.

My Thoughts:

This has a very natural scent to it. It's very smooth, soft and cold on application. It does take just a little more effort than other hand creams I have used to work into the skin. Not enough to be overly critical though. I have the full size version which is great. The packaging fascinated me when it arrived as I was dying to know what was hidden inside. Although it's a product I will use I was a little disappointed to discover another hand cream. The packaging that it came in was really cute inside. I feel that this product is marketed at customers that need to be extremely hygienically clean like nurses, caterers, beauticians etc. I would not say that this is aimed at the average consumer, but that is not to say it will not work well for everyone. Although my GlossyBox information card says this is £5.45 the actual yesnurse website says it's priced from £5.49. Just a small detail, but I thought I should mention it.

So overall this is an average box for me. I like that GlossyBox have made another themed box with a very organic, earthy feel. With Earth Day this month it is very appropriate. I will use the Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum, the Ayuuri Natural Body Wash (Sensual Indian Rose) and the Yes! Nurse Protect Your Lovely Hands products. The other two I may give away as I'm just not sure I like the scent of the balm and the shade of the lip liner.

So which products did you receive in your April GlossyBox? Were you happy with them?

NOTD: LCN Nail Polish Free Spirit (330)

Hi my little Sweet Peas. I hope you are all fabulous and enjoying your weekend so far. I have been out running some errands today in the rain, but it will all be good later as I'm going for a yummy Chinese this evening. Today I have a NOTD post for you.

Firstly I applied my usual Rimmel base coat. I then applied three coats of this 8ml LCN Nail Polish from the Free Your Mind Collection. I received this in my March 2012 JolieBox. You can find that post with my initial impressions of this product here

If you read my first impressions in the link above you will see that I was a little confused initially about which shade I received from the collection. As you can see in the photo above I have since discovered that this nail polish is the shade Free Spirit (330). I really love the shade because it's not a flat colour, but I'm not sure that it looks great against my skin tone. I will try it again when I fake tan, but I think this shade would look best on very deep, dark skin tones to show more of a contrast. I applied this with three coats to get the full impact of the fine shimmers of this nail shade. I sealed the look with my Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. You can purchase this LCN Nail Polish for £5.50 here. You can view all four shades in this collection on beautyconcepts.co.uk here. This shade and the shade Free Your Mind are £4.40 each in this link. The other two remain at £5.50 each. From lcnusa.com you can purchase this whole collection for $29.90, Link :)

Did you receive this in your March 2012 JolieBox? Do you think it suits your skin tone and what type of skin tone do you have? Have you any other LCN nail shades that you recommend?

Love to you all

Sleek MakeUP Blushes

Hey lovelies. I have been meaning to post about these gorgeous Sleek MakeUP blushes for some time. I haven't actually used these products yet as I wanted to take photos first for this post. I had forgotten how beautiful some of these shades are so I will stop rambling and just show you.

Left To Right:

Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Flame 365)

Furnace ~ A dark rose peach. A great everyday shade.

Bon Fire ~ A very bold and daring hot red. I would suggest applying this lightly as it's very pigmented so that you can get your desired look.

Molten ~ A medium orange red that will give a warm flush to the cheeks. This has a slight sheen to it. I noticed some fallout with this when swatching.

Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Lace 367)

Crochet ~ A buildable peach. Great for spring/summer.

Guipure ~ A beautiful pinky orange with gold shimmer. No need to add a highlight with this baby.

Chantilly ~ A very pretty pinky coral shade.

The Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Lace 367) appears to be the most popular from the blog posts I have read so far.

Left To Right:

Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Pink Sprint 366)

Pink Parfait ~ A deep raspberry shade. I would perhaps wear this a little more in the autumn/winter period. There is some fallout with this.

Pink Ice ~ Well hello Barbie. This hot pink shade is very pigmented. You need a light hand when applying this unless you are going for the doll look.

Pinktini ~ This is another everyday shade that you don't have to think too much about when applying. I would describe it as a pink rose bruise.

Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Pumpkin 363)

Lantern ~ A gorgeous burnt orange shade with a hint of gold shimmer. There is some fallout with this.

Squash ~ A pink candy shade that is pretty for spring/summer.

P Pie ~ A very daring hot orange. I would be very careful when applying this as it's very pigmented and may make some skin tones look quite sallow.

I love the Halloween themed names of the Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Pumpkin 363).

Left To Right:

Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Sugar 364)

Turbinado ~ A pinky brown bruise shade. Another great everyday blush.

Muscovado ~ A brown with gold shimmer shade. There is fallout with this blush also.

Demerara ~ A very light peach blush. This may not show up too easily on darker skin tones. You would probably need to apply this quite densely if you want this blush to be noticeable.

Blush (Rose Gold 926)

This is one of if not the most popular blush shade from Sleek MakeUP and I can understand why. I would describe this as a pinky peach with orange gold shimmer. You probably wouldn't need to use a highlighter along with this. It's very similar to the shade Guipure from the Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Lace 367) shown above. In fact I would say if you like at least two of the shades in the Blush By 3 Blush Palette (Lace 367) then do not buy Blush (Rose Gold 926) separately as there is such a little difference in the two.

Blush (Sunrise 924)

A deep brown bruise shade with a light gold shimmer.

I am a big fan of Sleek MakeUp, especially their I-Divine Palettes. I know some of you will think I went a bit crazy buying all of these, but by the time I had swatched both sides of my hand and part of my forearm I just gave in and bought the lot, ha ha. The packaging is great as it's very slim and clicks shut so you know it's secure. Great for travellers. I love that there is always a decent sized mirror included with these products.

You can buy Sleek MakeUp in Superdrug. I could not find these products on the Superdrug website unfortunately. Here are links to the products on sleekmakeup.com, Blush By 3 Blush Palette £10.00, Blush £4.30 and thebeautypot.com Blush £4.50. I am sure you will be able to find these products on Amazon or Ebay also. The Blush By 3 Blush Palettes are Limited Edition so bear this in mind if you love any of the shades.

Have you picked up any of these blush palettes or single blushes? If yes, which are your loves/hates? If no, will you be picking any of them up?

Love to you all

April 2012 JolieBox

Hey Everyone. I hope you are all having a glorious weekend. Today I want to show you the contents of my April JolieBox and my initial thoughts of the products. This month's box is named 'The Changing Of The Seasons'.

Left To Right:

Balance Me Daily Essentials Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm ~ £20.00 For 125ml/£4.00 For 15ml

The Information:

Cleanse and smooth face balm is a daily must-have for its dual cleansing and smoothing action to enhance your skin’s natural radiance. Anti-oxidant rich Arctic cloudberry, gentle Roman chamomile and skin-brightening red mandarin smooth away daily grime and make-up leaving skin soft, radiant and calmly clean. Gently polishing oatmeal sloughs away dead skin cells and encourages cell renewal. Shea and cocoa butter, softening rosehip, camellia, kukui nut and virgin coconut oils, rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and lipids provide a layer of skin-boosting goodness which benefits both young and more mature skins. This balm is recommended for normal to dry/sensitive skins but it also works very effectively on all skin types.

Application:

Warm a small amount of balm in clean hands. Smooth over face and neck, gently massaging the balm with your finger tips in circular movements, allowing the oats to polish the skin for at least 30 seconds. Apply warm water and continue massaging for a further 30 seconds. Close eyes and wipe carefully over lids and eye lashes, avoiding direct contact with eyes. Wet a muslin cloth with warm water and remove balm residue from your skin. Pat skin dry then apply moisture-rich face cream or radiance face oil.

Ingredients:

Prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, Colloidal oatmeal, Cera alba (unrefined beeswax), Mangifera indica (mango) seed butter, Butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter***, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) butter, Polyglyceryl-4 caprate, Oleic/Linoleic/Linolenic polyglycerides, Hydroxystearic/Linolenic/Oleic polyglycerides, Rubus chamaemorus (cloudberry) seed extract, Cocos nucifera (virgin coconut) oil***, Aleurites moluccana (kukui) oil, Rosa canina (rosehip) fruit oil, Camellia oleifera (camellia) oil, Citrus reticulata (mandarin red)*, Litsea cubeba (litsea may chang)*, Citrus aurantium amara (petitgrain)*, Anthemis nobilis (Roman chamomile)*, Cananga odorata (ylang ylang)*, Coriandrum sativum (coriander)*, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, Limonene**, Linalool**, Citral *natural pure essential oil **naturally occurring in essential oils ***certified organic ingredient.

My Thoughts:

This product feels smooth on swatching. This is a liquid-gel formula with a citrus scent. I think this will be quite refreshing to use. I haven't used this type of liquid/gel wash off cleanser/make-up remover before so I am looking forward to seeing if I like it. The information for this product is not on the JolieBox website yet.

Tropic Skincare Skin Revive ~ £15.95

The Information:

It’s suitable for all skin types and contains gorgeous and organic ingredients. Bursting with vitamins and pure plant actives that help to visibly firm and intensely nourish the skin. Ingredients:

Organic Aloe Vera Juice (aloe barbadensis leaf juice), Golden Jojoba Oil (simmondsia chinensis oil), Macadamia Oil (macadamiaternifolia oil), Rosehip Oil (rosa canina fruit oil), Avocado Oil (persea gratissima oil), Shea Butter (butyrospermum parkii), Vegetable Glycerin (glycerin), Coconut & Cassava emulsifier (cetearyl alcohol, cetearyl glucoside), Candelilla Wax (euphorbia cerifera wax), Soy Lecithin (lecithin), Organic Citrus extract (citrus extract), Vitamin E (tocopherol), Corn sugar gum (xanthan gum), Corn extract (sodium levulinate), Basil extract (sodium anisate), Sea Kelp extract (algae), Echinacea extract (echinacea purpurea leaf), Blueberry extract (vaccinium angustifolium fruit), Raspberry extract (rubus idaeus fruit), Camomile extract (anthemis nobilis flower), Organic Grapefruit Seed extract (citrus grandis seed), Calendula extract (calendula officinalis flower), Frankincense extract (boswellia carterii oil), Sweet Orange (citrus aurantium dulcis peel oil), Rose Geranium (pelargonium graveolens oil), Lavender (lavandula angustifolia oil), Honeysuckle extract (lonicera japonica) ternifolia oil, rosa canina fruit oil, persea gratissima oil, butyrospermum parkii, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, cetearyl glucoside, euphorbia cerifera wax, lecithin, citrus*,tocopherol, xanthan gum, sodium.

My Thoughts:

I am not sure about the smell of this, but it does smooth into the skin very easily. I wasn't too sure if this was for my face or body before looking up the information on the JolieBox website as it wasn't clear on the information card. I will give this a try.

Pure Fiji Exotic Bath and Body Oil ~ £24.50 For 235ml/8oz

The Information:

For centuries Pacific islanders have used a blend of virgin coconut oil and exotic nut extracts to moisturize, nourish and protect both skin and hair. This nourishing blend absorbs quickly and will rejuvenate, replenish, hydrate, nourish and firm your skin.

Application:

Use as a massage oil, bath oil or daily moisturizing treatment.

My Thoughts:

Another multi-tasker which I love the idea of. This product can be used on the body, hair and scalp. Coconut fans will absolutely love this scent. It smells gorgeous, just like an exotic holiday in a bottle. It sinks into the skin instantly and is not at all greasy like some oils can be. The product information for this is not yet on the JolieBox website.

BellaPierre Black Mascara ~ £19.99

The Information:

Bellapierre long lasting black mascara was formulated to help create thicker and fuller lashes.

Application:

Apply the mascara to the upper lashes first. Take the brush and hold it underneath the top lashes close to the roots and sweep brush upwards from roots to tips. Apply a few coats to build your lashes to the desired volume. For bottom lashes, use the tip of the brush to apply a thin coat of mascara in delicate strokes.

Ingredients:

Water, Iron Oxides CI 77489, 77491, 77492, 77499, Polyisobutene, Acrylates/ Octylacrylamide Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Peg-100 Stearate, Copernica Cerfera (Carnauba) Wax, Hexylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Polyacrylate, Cholesterol C12-13, Iso-Alkylate and Olea (Olive) Europaea Oil Unsaponisiables Silk Powder.

My Thoughts:

A mascara is always handy. It's nice that it's a full size product. I love finding a great mascara so lets hope it is for £19.99. I do like the packaging. It's simple and chic. This was not on the JolieBox website either.

KMS California ~ £Various

The Information:

Flexible shaping and elastic hold. Unlimited, protective heat styling without the damage. Styles last until the next wash. Humidity resistance. Restyleability. Anti-breakage.

Application:

Spray into towel-dried hair, blow dry and shape with hot tools. For maximum shaping, spray section by section.

My Thoughts:

I could not find this on the JolieBox website and when I looked on the KMS California website there was product information, but I could not find a price so I have added a Google search link above. I guess this product is meant to work for people that wash their hair every other day, but may style it with hot tools every day. It's good if it works, but I'm not the best tester for this as I only blow dry my hair.

So now onto the 2nd issue of the JOLIEMAG.

There is a variety of goodness in this month's magazine including interviews, April Pastels, Contour and Highlighting Tips, Spring Trends and Flawless Face Tips. There is also a discount code for boticca.com.

I will use all of the products in this month's box, but the ones I am most looking forward to trying are the Balance Me Daily Essentials Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm, the Pure Fiji Exotic Bath and Body Oil and the BellaPierre Black Mascara.

NOTD: St George's Day Inspired

Hello my Darlings. This week has felt so long yet this month seems to be flying by, so crazy. I can't wait for summertime. It is April so the showers are no surprise I guess. Enough of my rambling. Today I have another St George's Day inspired post with a NOTD.

With this look I firstly applied one coat of my usual Rimmel base coat. I then applied three coats of this E.L.F. Nail Polish in the shade Pearl as this is a very sheer formula. I wanted to make my base colour look a little more glossy and pearlescent then the stark white background of an opaque nail polish.

To do something a little different than the obvious red cross I drew on two lines with slashes to alternate nails so that it made a pattern of linked crosses. It gives a kind of barbed wired or almost dogtooth pattern effect. I used my StarGazer Nail Art Pen in Red for this by sweeping the striper brush across the nails.

Left Hand

Right Hand

After taking these photos I sprayed my nails with my Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Spray.

These are links to the products mentioned:

E.L.F. Nail Polish (Pearl): £1.50 ~ Link :), $2.00 ~ Link :)

StarGazer Nail Art Pen (Red): £3.00 ~ Link :)

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Spray: £3.05 ~ Link :)

Have you written any posts that are St George's Day inspired? If so link me up in the comments below.

LOTD: St George's Day Inspired

Hey Loves. Kiss kiss to you all. With St George's Day coming up on Monday I felt like applying a red hot lip shade. Here is a wee pic of the lips I have been wearing today.

For these luscious red lips I firstly applied my NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese to my cupids bow. This along with my pale complexion acted as the white background of the flag, ha ha ;). To prevent the red colour from bleeding I applied my E.L.F. Studio Lip Lock Pencil around the edges, except where I had applied the Jumbo Eye Pencil. For the actual lips I applied my Eyeko Liptastik Glossy Lip Pen in Lip Lover, blotted, reapplied and blotted again. I then went around the lips once again with the Lip Lock Pencil.

Here are links to the products mentioned:

NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Lip Pencil (Cottage Cheese): £4.50 ~ Link :), $4.50 ~ Link :), $3.50 ~ Link :)

E.L.F. Studio Lip Lock Pencil : £3.50 ~ Link :), $3.00 ~ Link :)

Eyeko Liptastik Glossy Lip Pen (Lip Lover): $10.00 ~ Link :)

This lip lock pencil really does stop colours feathering. Such a bargain. I love this bold red shade. It stays glossy on me for a couple of hours and then turns into more of a stain that is still very pigmented, but a little more matte. It's not drying though.

What bold lips are you rocking right now? Link me up in the comments below.

NOTD: E.L.F. Champagne Nail Polish

Hey All. I have just a wee post for you today so I will get straight to it. I am currently wearing a more subtle nail colour than usual. I hope you like it.

I applied one coat of my usual Rimmel base coat, followed by two coats of the nail polish shown in the photo. This is the E.L.F. Nail Polish Champagne. Now when I think of champagne a golden caramel shade springs to mind. A bit like the nail polish I received in my March JolieBox. You can find that post here. I would describe this E.L.F. nail polish as more of a rose blush wine with a deeper brown hue. You can buy this nail polish for £1.50 Link :) or $2.00 Link :). I am a little confused as to why the shade looks different on each of the E.L.F. websites though. I bought mine from the UK site. I topped off my manicure with one coat of my Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Have you noticed a difference before on these two E.L.F. websites with regards to the shades looking different?

March 2012 JolieBox

Hey, it's me again. I thought it was meant to be a horrible day of rain today, but the sun is out and I'm not complaining. My March JolieBox did not show up for ages after I was told it had been dispatched so they sent me out another one which is why I am a little late posting about this. So here are the products in this box which is named 'Put A Spring In Your Step'.

Left To Right:

Yardley Luxury Body Wash (English Lavender) ~ £3.50 For 200ml

The Information:

A Luxury Body Wash containing Q10 that cleanses, nourishes and moisturises the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and delicately fragranced with English Lavender. Also available in two other fragrances: Royal English Daisy and Peony.

Application:

Use in the bath or shower to cleanse the body.

My Thoughts:

This is a full size product which is great. The scent reminds me of an aromatherapy massage oil. Very relaxing.

Davines Authentic Moisturising Face/Hair/Body Balm ~ £17.40

The Information:

A natural, conditioning, moisturising, organic, Safflower Oil base balm with a treble action: make-up remover for the face, hair balm and body moisturiser. Contains ingredients such as jojoba and sesam oil.

Application:

Face – Apply a small amount to face with cotton wool, avoiding contacts with eyes. Rinse with warm water.

Hair – Apply to towel dried hair. Leave for two minutes, comb the hair and rinse well.

Body – Can be applied to dry or damp skin. Leave for two minutes and then rinse.

My thoughts:

This is full size also which is fab. If you know me you know that I like multi-tasking products. Products like this are great for people who travel. This product has a herbal scent. I am a bit confused that it's described as a body moisturiser yet you are meant to rinse it off?

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner (Emerald Green) ~ £9.50 / €10.00 / $14.00

The Information:

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner Pencils for precise definition and intense colour. Line and define for long-lasting colour. The wax based, creamy formula allows for smooth application. Even when you sharpen the pencil to the smallest nub the silver handle remains for longer use. Available in six different shades.

Application:

Use light strokes close to the lash line for everyday definition.  Hold pencil on its side for thicker lines and a dramatic look.

My Thoughts:

I think this should have come with cardboard packaging as it did when I received one of these pencils in my January 2012 GlossyBox: The Valentine's Day Edition. You can see that post here. I could not see the name of this shade on the pencil. Maybe I missed it, but I would describe it as an emerald green. When I checked the website that is what it is called. This is a full size product also.

This is a gorgeous shade that I think will make my eyes pop. So pretty.

LCN Nail Polish From The Free Your Mind 2012 Collection ~ £5.50 For 8ml

The Information:

Discover the new Free Your Mind Collection by LCN! Fast drying nail polishes available in four dreamy, shimmery, on-trend pastel shades. No.330 Free Spirit (8ml), No.331 Free Your Mind (8ml), No. 332 Sky High (8ml) & No.333 Dreamcatcher (8ml).

Application:

For best results use a base coat followed by two coats of your favourite colour and finish with a top coat.

My Thoughts:

I could not see a shade name on the bottle so I'm not sure which one I have. I can not look now as I am not writing this post while at home, but I will check to see if any of the numbers above are on my bottle. If anyone knows please tell me :)

I would describe this as a beautiful golden, creamy caramel with pink, purple and orange shimmers. This is a full size product as well.

JolieBox Mirror

The Information:

A dainty compact mirror that will fit perfectly in your make-up bag.

My Thoughts:

It's always nice to get little extras in life. I think this mirror will fit snugly into my purse for on the go glances.

To top it all off JolieBox have also added the JOLIEMAG to their boxes.

The magazine includes information on products, spring releases, interviews, a manicure step-by-step guide, a www.loveheartsandcrosses.co.uk discount code and information about the JolieBox team, including one of my most favourite Vloggers/Bloggers Anna. You can find Anna's blog and YouTube channel on her Twitter profile @ViviannaMakeup

So overall I like my March JolieBox. I will definitely use all of the products. I love the eyeliner and nail polish shades.

What products did you receive in your March JolieBox? Did you like them? Did your box arrive late?

Love to you all

March 2012 Empties

Hey Everyone. I have been collecting the products that I used up in March to let you know what I thought of them. Here are all of the products and my thoughts.

Face

Left To Right:

2 Packs Of 20 Simply Pure Make-up Remover Wipes ~ 99p For 2 Or 3 Packs

Previously reviewed here :)

Me To You 80 Handy Wipes Orange Scented ~ £1.00

These I use in the same way as the above wipes. They have a clean and fresh orange scent. You can pick these up in Poundland in the baby section. The packaging is so cute and great value as these are a fair size and you get 80 in a pack.

Johnson's Baby Cotton Pads ~ 99p

I love the size and shape of these cotton pads as they are big enough not to loose any products that are a bit runny and you use less pads. You can pick these up in 99p Stores.

Left To Right:

Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser For Normal/Combination Skin ~ £20.00 For 125ml

I received this ages ago for free with a magazine subscription before I began blogging. I used this in the shower every day to remove dirt and make-up before cleansing. This has a really soft and gentle scent to it. Quite refreshing. This tube is only 30ml and has lasted me a while so the 125ml is not a bad price.

No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ~ £21.00 For 30ml

I received this as part of a free gift set from Boots Pharmacy when I purchased other products. I have previously reviewed this here.

Lierac Comfort Peel ~ £22.10 For 40ml

I received this product in my January 2012 Feelunique Beauty Box. Please find that post here. This cream felt really nice to use on the skin. I applied it after cleansing and toning. I wish I could say more about it, but there wasn't enough product to review further.

Clarins Extra Firming Night Cream For All Skin Types ~ £38.40 For 50ml

I received this in my January 2012 GlossyBox: Valentine's Day Edition. Please find that post here. This was a nice cream to use. This has a very soft and delicate scent. It's a little bit expensive for me though as I think I could get another night cream that does the same job a bit cheaper.

Erno Laszlo - The Hollywood Collection: 5 Piece Cream Gift Set ~ $125 For 2.5oz

I received this sample sized set in my March 2012 GlossyBox: The Harrods Edition. You can find that post here. Here is a breakdown on my thoughts of each product:

Velvet Night Cream

This had quite a thick consistency, not loose. This was unscented. It glided onto the skin like velvet as the name suggests.

Instant Eye Repair

This had a gel like consistency. There was no scent. This was not sticky at all.

Refresh Moisture Infusion

This is a lovely cream. It's very smooth yet thick, feeling like it leaves a slight barrier on the skin. Almost like a primer I would say.

Intensive Porcelain Veil

This is a smooth cream to apply. This leaves an even layer over the skin like a primer also. It doesn't feel heavy to wear. There is hardly any scent to this product.

Morning Beauty Rescue

This is a pink iridescent glitter gel. A very smooth and nice product to use, but it does leave glitter particles on your face which did show slightly after applying my make-up so be aware of this if you are not a fan of glitter on the face.

Although there are some nice products here I just couldn't afford to keep up with these prices.

Body

Left To Right:

Boots Smooth Sensitive Care Shave Gel ~ £2.85 For 200ml

I have previously reviewed this here.

Baylis & Harding England Skin Spa Steam Shower Body Cleanser ~ Various Prices

In the above link there are various links to many products from the Baylis & Harding range as I could not find this product sold by itself. This has a pleasant scent. It would have been easier to use a tube or pump dispenser in the shower as I use more product when I have to pour it out, but that is my only fault with this product.

Baylis & Harding England Skin Spa Steam Cream Wash ~ Various Prices

Again I have left this link to various other links as I could not find this as a solo product. This has the same scent as the above product of rose, ylang ylang & patchouli which is nice. My only negative is the same as the above product.

Hello Kitty Liberty Body Wash ~ £6.00

I received this as part of a Xmas gift set. You can see that post here. I love the packaging of this. So cute! This was a little easier to use in the shower as it is a squeezy tube so less product comes out. This has a sweet, but not overpowering scent to it. This was available at Boots Pharmacy at Xmas time, but you can still find this product in the link above. Hello Kitty fans will love it.

Left To Right:

Superdrug Vitamin E Body Scrub For All Skin Types From The Essential Range ~ 99p (if the same product)

Now I can't be sure that this is the exact same product as the link above as you can see that the packaging looks different, but if it is I would not recommend this product. This felt very uncomfortable to use as it's so rough on the skin. Even for 99p I wouldn't buy this again. However they may have improved this if the product has been revamped like the packaging so it's up to you if you want to try it as it is very cheap.

Baylis & Harding England Skin Spa Body Polish ~ £19.99 For Whole Gift Set

The link above shows the whole gift set that I received for my birthday which is where this product came from. I could not find this for sale as a solo product. This was a nice body scrub with the same scent as the above Baylis & Harding products in this post.

Primark Grapefruit Body Scrub ~ £1.50 For 150ml

My mum gave me this as she doesn't really use body scrubs and thought it was a shower gel when she picked it up some time ago. I'm not sure if Primark still sell this. This is a yellow cream exfoliator. It was nice to use and has a very zesty scent.

Left To Right:

Como Shambhala Invigorate Body Lotion ~ £20.00 For 300ml

I received this in my February 2012 GlossyBox. You can see that post here. This has a very herbal and peppermint scent to it which I like. I was a bit peeved to receive this for the second time though from GlossyBox.

F.A.B. (First Aid Beauty) Body Moisturizer ~ $18.00/£13.00 For 8.0 oz

I received this in my January 2012 GlossyBox: Valentine's Day Edition. You can see that post here. It was a nice enough product to use, but it did not excite me. It's unscented because it's meant for sensitive skin. I found it a bit hard to squeeze out of the packaging when I had used about half of it. I would not pay this price for it.

Champneys Collection Citrus Glow Moisturising Body Butter ~ Various Prices

My friend gave this to me. I found this in the Ebay link above, but I'm not sure that this range from Champneys is available anymore. This was a nice cream to use with a slightly looser consistency than other body butters. It didn't really get under my nails until I neared the bottom of the tub. This is slightly citrusy, but not too much. A nice spa scent.

Caudalie Vinotherapie Nourishing Body Lotion ~ £22.10 For 400ml

I received this in my January 2012 Feelunique Beauty Box. You can find that post here. This was a nice cream to use with a subtle scent.

Avon Hawaiian Shores Moisture Gel ~ Various Prices

You can find the haul post where I purchased this product here. Although I did like the gel consistency of this product I really don't like the scent. It's a little too chemically smelling for me. I think this would be a good product for cooling down after a hot day in the sun though. I can not find this on the Avon website, but you can still buy this from the links above.

Dental/Make-Up

Left To Right:

Hello Kitty Toothbrush ~ £1.00

I actually got two of these for Xmas from different people. They know I love Hello Kitty. Here is the post for when I received this, Link :). I have see this in Poundland. I know it's meant for kids, but I love it. I like the hologram topper that opens or closes Kitty's eyes depending on how you tilt it.

E.L.F. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation SPF15 (Sand) ~ £6.50/$6.00 For 23g

I love this glass bottle and the pump dispenser. I bought this in a haul last November, Link :). I do really like this product and I think it's great value. It does give a semi-matte finish, but at times it can look a little bit shiny on my skin. I'm not sure how this would work for you if your skin is oily. I have heard that people compare this product to Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, but I haven't tried that product so I can't compare. You may want to try this though if you are a fan of that Nars foundation. I do get a lot of transfer onto my clothes around the neckline with this though as I apply my foundation to my face, neck and decolletage. A powder may resolve this for you, but I don't use a lot of powder as I have very dry skin. I would go back to this product if I could no longer buy my current favourite Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum SPF15. Perhaps in a lighter shade though.

E.L.F. Studio Makeup Mist & Set ~ £3.50 For 59g/$3.00 For 2.02 oz

I am a big fan of this product and I need another one, but I am stopping myself from ordering from E.L.F. at the moment as I can never buy just the thing I need and I have too much to pay for this month, but I am sure I will pick this up again soon :( I previously reviewed this here.

Candles

Left To Right:

Coley & Gill Cranberry Scented Candle In A Tin ~ £1.00

I bought the Coley & Gill candles shown in this post from Poundland. Although the link above shows a different scent it is from the same range. I originally bought all of these scented candles at Xmas time. You can see that post here. I still think these are a great gift, not just for Xmas. This candle has a warm, winter scent. I like that it comes in a tin so it can melt away safely.

Coley & Gill Orange Cinnamon Scented Candle In A Tin ~ £1.00

This is the same as the link above. You can really smell the cinnamon in this candle. It will get you in the mood for cooking.

M&M's Berry Blue Scented Candle ~ 99p/$4.99

I bought this in 99p Stores. This is a really fun candle that an M&M lover would adore. It has a really candy scent.

Star Lytes Orange Spice Scented Candle ~ 99p

I bought this from 99p Stores also. Although similar to the Coley & Gill Orange Cinnamon Scented Candle In A Tin you can smell a bit more of the orange than the spice with this candle.

The products that I would buy in the future are:

20 Simply Pure Make-up Remover Wipes

Me To You 80 Handy Wipes Orange Scented

 Johnson's Baby Cotton Pads

Boots Smooth Sensitive Care Shave Gel

 Hello Kitty Liberty Body Wash

 Hello Kitty Toothbrush

E.L.F. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation SPF15

E.L.F. Studio Makeup Mist & Set

Coley & Gill Cranberry Scented Candle In A Tin

Coley & Gill Orange Cinnamon Scented Candle In A Tin

 M&M's Berry Blue Scented Candle

Star Lytes Orange Spice Scented Candle

So that's finally it lovelies. Well done if you got through all of that. The prices I have shown are the best prices I could find, but there are various prices and places to buy from in the links added.

Which products have you used up lately? Which products would you recommend or avoid in the future and why? Are you a fan of any of the products in this post?

Love to you all
