It's Been Nice Knowing You

Hi All. I hope you are all looking forward to some fun and frolics this weekend. It's payday for me, but I am trying to be good as this home owner stuff gets pretty expensive, ha ha ;)

The title of this post is not to tell you I am ditching my wee blog, but to say farewell to a product I have had for a few years that has done me proud, but sadly is on it's way out :( This is my NOTD post.

I applied one coat of my Alessandro Pro White Original, followed by one coat of my Barry M Nail Paint in the shade 279 - Bright Pink. I have had this Nail Paint for years and enjoyed it's pink pop of candy colour many times. I do have a fondness for Barry M Nail Paints, but unfortunately my nail collection is now a mass of products and this beauty has gone all gloopy so I thought I would apply the shade to my nails this one last time to show you this Barbie-tastic colour. Please excuse the purple nail colour on the bottle. I only applied one coat as it's gone so gloopy now this was the best I could do so apologies for the uneven manicure. I sprayed my nails with a rapid drying nail spray too.

If you like this Barry M Nail Paint I have managed to find it on scentsationalperfumes.com for £2.66 in their current sale with free UK delivery.

Have you got any nail shades that you love that are on their last legs? Let me know in the comments below.

Everyone's At The Disco

Hello Gorgeous. Yeah that's all of you. Happy Bank Holiday. I hope you are making the most of it. I know you have most likely read a whole load of blog posts of people finding great dupes for the American Apparel Disco Pants and I just thought I would show you my very cheap dupe pair if you are a girl like me who is always up for a bargain.

These are the Black Amerie High Shine High Waisted Disco Pants. I got these from boohoo.com when they had a 20% off sale. They are not having a sale at the moment, but they are offering Free UK Saver Delivery until midnight when you spend over £25.00. These are currently selling for £15.00. These come in shades of Berry, Cobalt and Silver as shown in the link above. There are many other Disco Pants on the BooHoo website, most of which look the same as these, but are named differently. Here is a link to all of them. I am very tempted to get the Navy and Charcoal shades.

Now onto my thoughts. I am obviously impressed by them or I wouldn't want other shades, but let me tell you why. These are a really great length on me. I'm about 5ft 3 and usually find I either have to take things up or just deal with some ruching around my ankles if things are too long. The inside leg on these is 67cm. They are made from Nylon and Elastane and are machine washable. These are high waisted and are clingy as you would expect leggings/disco pants to be. In the second photo I am pinching where the elastic inside the waistband is so that you can see it does not fill that whole section where the waist material is. I hate it when you buy trousers, leggings or joggers and you have elastic at the waist the keeps folding over. I do not find these do this once I have them on because they are definitely high waisted. These are Black, but because they have a slight sheen to them they do catch the sunlight on a bright day. I don't think my bottom looks too bad in these, but I feel more comfortable pairing these with a long vest or t-shirt. These do not lose their shape if you wear them a couple of times without washing. They wrinkle just a wee bit behind the knees, but I don't think I could wear a size down as elasticated waists on my tummy make it bloat out no matter what size I wear. I am such a weirdo as I'm the same when I wear tights. I have these in a size 10 and I usually wear 8-10.

missguided.co.uk are also selling what looks to be this same style for £14.99 and they are offering 10% off until midnight tonight.

If you would like to see these in an OOTD/OOTN post let me know in the comments below. Have you found any great disco pants?

Treg Me Up

Hi Everyone. I hope that as many of you as possible have tomorrow off work to enjoy an extra long weekend. I dread Sunday's because that thought of going back to work the next day is always in the back of my mind, but not this weekend :)

PLEASE NOTE I TRIED THESE ON AFTER WRITING THIS POST AND REALISED THE BLACK COME UP MUCH SMALLER THAN THE DARK RED AND CHARCOAL GREY!

Today I want to share with you a clothing item that I think a lot of you will like.

Front

Back

I have had these New Look Dark Red Ponti Treggings for ages. I absolutely adore them as they are so comfy, yet they are an upgrade from just an everyday pair of leggings. They have front and back pockets like your average pair of jeans. There are belt loops around the waist. They fasten with a button and zip to the front. These slip on very easily, but because they have more of a trouser feel than leggings they feel a bit smarter. I think these are great for everyday, but would look great to take you into night time as well. Sometimes I wear these with a t-shirt half in, half out. I think they would look great with a shirt/blouse and some ankle boots for a smarter look. These are made up of Polyester, Viscose and Elastane. I feel like these pull me in nicely, but they really are comfy. For reference I am a size 8-10. These fit me well between both sizes and I bought a size 8. I would suggest going a size down if you are not between sizes. They do wrinkle ever so slightly behind the knees, but I think that is mainly because they are a bit thicker than most leggings. I still wear these in the summer though as I wouldn't be any warmer in these than if I wore jeans. I am about 5ft 3 and these are quite long on me. From crotch to ankle these appear to be a 31inch leg. Here is a link to this pair that are £16.99.

I was desperate to get more of these and on a wee shopping trip I managed to pick up these in Charcoal Grey and Black. The Black appear to be called Mid-Rise Treggings on the website, but they look the same as the ones I have. Also the tags on them say Ponti, but on the website it's spelt Ponte just so you know. I actually bought three pairs of the black as I will probably wear those the most and black fades quicker than other colours. These are such a wardrobe staple for me and for £16.99 I think they are a total bargain. I was tempted to try the size 6 in store to see if they would fit a little better behind the knees, but the waist looked too small and I was too lazy. I saw online ages ago that they also had these Treggings in Green and Brown, but I never saw them in store. I wish I had ordered them online now :(

While writing this post and checking out the New Look website I notice that they have these Treggings Dark Red Teens for £11.99 and Black for £11.99. If you can fit into those sizes and save money then why not. It looks like the only difference is that they have 5 pockets instead of 4. You know how you get the mini pocket inside of one of your front pockets on some jeans. They also have the Ladies Treggings in Blue Denim for £14.99 or the Teens Dark Blue Denim for £9.99. I wonder if the Teens come in a better length for us shorter gals?

I hope I gave you all the information you may have wanted in this post. I was thinking of doing an OOTD/OOTN with these. If you would like to see that just let me know in the comments below.

NOTD: Zoya Marina Professional Lacquer

Ello Poppets it's me once again. I have just painted my nails with a colour I received in my September Boudoir Prive Box, Link. I don't know why, but I put this with my nail polishes and just never used it.

As a base coat I applied 1 layer of my Alessandro Pro White Original that I received in my August GlossyBox. I then applied two coats of the Zoya Marina Professional Lacquer. You could just apply one coat of this if you do a thick layer, but I find that my nail polish lasts longer on my nails if I apply two coats as I only paint them once a week. This is described as a strongly blue-toned smoky silver-grey with a dusty metallic finish. It can look more blue or more grey depending on the lighting. This is my first Zoya Lacquer and I do really like the smoothness and opacity of the formula. I found this on ebay.com for various prices, Link.

Are you a fan of Zoya Professional Lacquers? What are your favourite shades?

Support & Cuteness

Hello you beautiful people. I have missed you all since my last post. I hope your week has been good so far. The rain is here for bank holiday weekend as usual, surprise surprise. I have bought a few items from SportsDirect.com that I thought you might be interested in.

I have already purchased two of these USA Pro Bra Tops in the Red shade, Link. I got both the same colour as I could never find the others in my size in store, but then I saw the Orange (top of photo, front side) and Black (bottom of photo, back side) in store and I just had to pick them up.

When I exercise I always find that I can never quite find the right type of sports bra to hold me in. I have tried just exercising in my normal bras and sports bras that were like bras, but a lot more rigid and uncomfortable. I wasn't falling out of them as I moved around, but I would get a sweat rash from how solid and structured they were. Especially with the under wiring.

These USA Pro Bra Tops are fab. They have an elasticated band at the bottom which does not give me a sweat rash as it is covered by material. The front is not too low or too high. These have a racer back so no chance of straps falling down when you move around. They are made from Nylon, Elastane and Polyester. There are moulded cups in the bra to help keep you in place when you are exercising. These can be removed. After washing these Bra Tops in the machine I re-position the cups into place as they do tend to fold over in the wash. These were £17.99 each, but have now been reduced to £9.99. This design does also come in Purple.

Well Hello Kitty. As I made my way to the till yesterday with my Bra Tops in hand I was stopped in my tracks by these beauties. Are they not just the cutest? Being a Hello Kitty fan I could not pass these up. These were reduced from £5.00 to £3.00. I know summer is not likely to be around for much longer (she says while looking at the rain), but these will get used as much as possible :) You can find this Light Pink pair here. I also want the Red design here. You can also buy the children's sizes here. The Light Pink is £2.50, but the Fuschia is £4.00.

I hope you found this post helpful or at least enjoyed some Hello Kitty cuteness. What are you favourite exercise clothing/accessories?

All Juiced Up

Ello Lovelies. Are you having a good Sunday? I'm having a bit of a chill today. Looks like the weather is going to be good for the next few days which makes me smile. As it has been so warm I have been craving cold drinks and when I was in Morrisons on Friday I picked up these beauties.

When I saw these dilute juice drinks I just couldn't resist. They are usually 79p each, but these were on an offer of 2 for £1.20. That's just 60p per bottle. I like the apple & strawberry squash, but the raspberry ripple squash is a winner for me. It tastes great, but I think I love it more because it makes me feel like a child if I'm honest :) These bottles are 1 litre each and contain just 4 calories in a diluted 250ml serving. There are no artificial colours or flavours and no added sugar. I try to be good when I can so I don't feel guilty when drinking this as it's better than when I drink loads of fizzy drinks or pure juices. There are many other flavours in this range if these don't take your fancy.

Have you tried any of the other flavours from this range? Any likes/dislikes?

NOTD: Broadway Nails imPRESS Velvet Rope

It's me again Sweetie Pie's. I know I just blogged today about my GlossyBox containing my Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure in Velvet Rope, but I just couldn't wait to try them out.

I took off my nail polish from my nails and went over them with the prep pad provided. I then chose the nail sizes to best suit my 10 natural nails. I peeled the backing off of each press-on nail one at a time and placed it on top of may natural nail, pressing firmly. I did this to each nail leaving the thumbs till last. Silly me dropped the press-on nail for my middle finger shown in the photos when I had taken the backing off and worried that it might stick to my sofa I grabbed it and stuck it to my nail the wrong way up. Once this sucker was stuck down that was it so I thought it will just have to do. The only good thing I guess is if you prefer a more curved edge than a straight one you could see how this would look if applied the wrong way up. I would advise applying these on a flat surface like a table or worktop. The end with the tab is the end you are meant to apply nearest to your cuticle. It obviously does not fit my nail bed as it is supposed to, but that's my fault. These do feel very secure. I type at work all day as well as at home blogging so it will be a good test to see how well they last. These are meant to be easy to remove by pulling at the sides or with nail polish remover if needed and are meant to last up to a week so we shall see.

Have you tried imPRESS Press-On Manicure from Broadway Nails? What are your thoughts on them? Do you have a favourite shade or pattern?

August 2012 GlossyBox: International Superstars

Hey there loves. Have you had a good week? I do hope so. I have been doing the usual work etc, but I did go out to lunch on Thursday with work colleagues and friends as someone is retiring and wanted to treat us all. We were all very thankful. The meal was scrumptious. I had feta and spinach parcels with mango chutney, pork medallions with potatoes, onions, carrots, runner beans and cauliflower cheese. This was all finished off with toffee and walnut ice cream. The walk back to work was a slow one. Myself and a few others did walk back up 9 flights of stairs in an attempt to work some of it off, ha ha ;)

Now let me get on to today's post. This month's GlossyBox is named International Superstars as this box contains products from around the world.

Left To Right:

Alessandro Pro White, £7.85 for 10ml

My nails are always yellow stained because I always wear nail polish and don't give the nails a chance to breath. I will give this a try to see if this will help. I do wonder if it is okay to wear under nail polish as a base coat because I don't really like not wearing polish because of the yellow staining. If anyone knows please advise :)

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, £18.50 for 200ml

I always like to try out new cleanser/make-up removers so I hope this works well. I can't smell anything with this oil. Please note that this product says to apply to dry skin with dry hands. Do not add water to this product until ready to rinse off.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure, £7.99 for a colour or £8.99 for a pattern (24 nails)

I must say I was very excited when I saw these in my GlossyBox as I have heard good things about them. I love that they actually come in what looks like a nail polish bottle. These seem very simple to apply. You just choose the right sizes for your nails, cleanse your natural nails with the enclosed prep pad, peel off the backing and press firmly. There are 12 sizes of nails in the pack. These nails are said to last up to a week. To remove gently peel from the sides or apply polish remover around edges, wait 1 minute and peel off. I love the shade I have. It's a glossy purple named Velvet Rope.

Vera Valenti L'ombre a Paupiere Margarita, £3.85 for the palette

When I first saw this palette I thought how sweet a flower design and it has a mirror which is ace, but when I swatched it I was a little disappointed.

I have swatched this as it appears in the palette. The three bottom left shades are okay, but the rest I could leave to be honest. A few of them barely show up and the brown shade on the middle right didn't show up at all. A bit of a shame, but 3 out of 10 shades are not too bad I suppose when the palette is only £3.85. If I had swatched this in store I wouldn't have picked this up though because I like my eye shadows quite pigmented and these are quite powdery too. Especially the paler shades.

Lipcote, £3.99 for 7ml

I have bought this product before in the past so it's nothing new to me. It is basically a sealant that you put over the top of your lip colour to prevent bleeding, keep your colour for longer and make it water resistant. In the past I have found this can work, but my lips get very dry so I think this can dry them out if I use it too often. Don't take my word on this for now though because it's a long time since I have tried it and the formula may not be the same. I will give it a go and let you know.

GlossyBox Lipstick In Glossy Pink, £9.50 for 4g

This lipstick was created with make-up brand Kryolan. This is meant to be an everyday lipstick and I think it really is. In fact I think this could easily take you from day to night.

This feels very creamy and smooth on swatching. This a very pretty, feminine, just bold enough shade of pink that would suit everyone in my opinion. I am really excited to try this out.

So that's everything in this month's box. I am really pleased with it. The lipstick and the imPRESS nails are the stand out products for me so far.

Lip Bling

Hello Beauties. It's another gorgeous day. I wish the weekend would last longer :( I can't believe it's August already. It's crazy. I have a little H&M haul post for you today so here we go.

Left To Right: Shimmer LipBalms In Pearly Beige & Pearly Pink. Lipgloss In Coral & Pink.

Swatches As Above

These twist up LipBalms are 0.14 oz/4 g each. The caps just pop off and click shut. They look quite similar on swatching, but they are different. The shade Pearly Beige is quite a white shimmer with a very light beige undertone. The Pearly Pink LipBalm is more of a slightly warmer baby pink shade, but it can look like a white pink shimmer in certain light. I think these will be really easy to wear and just throw on. I bought a few back ups of the Pearly Pink shade as I think it's brilliant to freshen up any look and make you look a bit brighter and awake.

The Lipgloss Coral is more strawberry pink than it looks in these photos. It has gold shimmers and is very glossy. This smells so fruity. Yummy :) The shade Pink is a cool blue pink shade with gold, silver and purple shimmer. This is also very glossy. It smells fruity, but not as much as the Coral shade. Both Lipgloss' have brush on applicators and are 0.10 fl.oz/3 ml each.

All products mentioned were £1.50 each which was a total bargain, but because I had something to take back I only spent 3p :)

Here is the link to the Lipgloss'. I can't find a link the the LipBalms I'm afraid.

I am quite impressed by these products so far and for the price I think you can't go wrong. What H&M beauty products do you like/dislike and why?

Love to you all

I See The Light

Hi again my loves. I have another wee post for you today and some more thank yous. Me and my fella have received some ever so soft Egyptian towels from a friend of mine as a house warming gift, but they are in the wash so I won't show you those. They are a cream shade. From another friend of mine we received these gorgeous pieces.

Isn't this just the most sweet candle holder you have ever seen. My friend knows I love candles and I have the perfect size candle to put in this.

As already mentioned I love candles so these tea lights will definitely get used. These also have a 'Fresh Linen' scent. Both of these presents were from Next, but I won't look up the prices so check them out on the Next website or in store if you are interested in them.

I hope you are all having a lot of fun in the sun. Enjoy your weekend.

Blooming Lovely

Hey All. I have really found it hard this week to find the time to blog, but today I finally have some time to and I have to say I do look forward to it. I had a lovely day in the garden yesterday with my Mum. We really gave both the front and back gardens of my house a good sort out. I put sun cream on twice, but needless to say I still go sun burnt :( We both worked really hard and the gardens look great so thanks Mum. I have my own little floral fork and spade, a knee pad and of course some pink garden gloves thanks to my lovely Mum.

Mum also bought us this vase which is great because we didn't have any. These are some flowers from our garden that I thought would look pretty. So I hope you are all well and having a great weekend.

Love to you all

July 2012 Empties

Hiya Everyone. I hope you are all having a blissful weekend. Today I have a massive post for you as I have used up so many products in July. I will give you my opinions on each of the products so check it out below.

Left To Right:

Johnson's Baby Cotton Pads ~ 99p Per Pack Of 50

Previously reviewed here.

Davines Authentic Moisturising Face/Hair/Body Balm ~ £17.40

I received this product in my March 2012 JolieBox. This product can be used in various ways, but I have been using it as a cleanser/make-up remover. I squeeze some product onto the Johnson's Cotton Pads and wipe away make-up and dirt. I don't rinse my face off afterwards as it's a cream product that gets wiped away so I don't feel the need to do this.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer ~ £Various depending on size and if spritzer or bottle

I received this as part of an Anniversary gift from my fella in June 2011. I have already reviewed the smaller spritzer version of this product here. This was quite refreshing when I got badly sunburned a few weeks ago. This product comes in bottles and spritzers. Check out the link here.

Please excuse the kitchen roll in this photo, but as you can see some products get messy :)

Left To Right:

Essential Care Organic Rose Moisturiser, 15ml for £7.50 or 50ml for £19.00

I received this product in my May 2012 JolieBox. I'm not too much of a fan of rose scents usually, but this didn't bother me as it wasn't too strong an aroma. This was a nice enough face cream.

Balance Me Wonder eye cream, Various Prices on ebay.co.uk

I got this free with my August 2012 issue of Glamour Magazine. It's nice and smooth to use, but I don't think it made any difference to my eye area.

Montagne Jeunesse Hot Chocolate Self Heating Face Masque, 99p for a 15g sachet

I picked this up while in New Look some time ago. This masque is meant for normal, oily & combination skin. Mine is dry, but I just picked this up on a whim and thought I would try it anyway. I used my usual cleansing methods before applying this then wet my face. It's quite a messy process applying this as it does have that warm, runny chocolate texture. Don't attempt to eat this though as trust me it is self heating which I didn't realise when I bought it. I did have a little panic at first as I thought this stuff is really warm on my face, but then I read the sachet and the panic was over. It is really fun to apply. You can really smell the orange chocolate scent. After 10-15mins I removed the masque with warm water and a flannel. My skin was fine even though this was not meant for my skin type. I am not advising you to try it though if you unsure if this will work okay on your skin!

Elizabeth Arden Gentle Hydrating Cleanser, Optimizing Skin Serum & Gentle Hydrating Cream SPF15

I received these samples in my July 2012 GlossyBox

Elizabeth Arden Gentle Hydrating Cleanser, £17.00 for 150ml

This was a nice cleanser to use. I wasn't sure about the scent though. It's quite hard to describe.

Elizabeth Arden Optimizing Skin Serum, £38.00 for 30ml

Now I have to say I really liked this. It felt like it was really doing something for my skin and I don't say that too often. My skin felt smooth and plumped instantly. It is quite expensive, but I might consider buying it in the future or asking for it for Xmas.

Elizabeth Arden Gentle Hydrating Cream SPF15, £32.00 for 50ml

I didn't expect to be lucky enough to like two products out of the three, but I did. This face cream was lovely and combined with the serum I felt like I was truly pampered. Again it's quite expensive, but for 50ml I guess it's not too bad.

Left To Right:

Hello Kitty Toothbrush, £1.00

I received this for Xmas. Actually I got two from two different people because they know I love Hello Kitty. The other toothbrush I already reviewed here.

2 x 100 Johnson's Cotton Buds, 200 buds for £1.00

I previously reviewed these here.

Cherry Culture Bubble Gum Lip Balm, Free for me with my order, but at the moment $0.99 for this stick

When I got this free with my Cherry Culture order I was like yeah that's cool. A lip balm is always handy, but this smells fun like childhood. The texture feels amazing on your lips. I like the twist up tube, but this product does melt a little in the heat. The packaging for this scent now shows up as purple on their website. There are some fun looking other scents of this product too. I think I would like to try Strawberry, Grape and Raspberry.

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, £5.00 for 15g or $7.84

My Mum gave this to me, but I'm afraid it's just not a product for me. This does have a really nice lemon scent, but when I applied it it didn't feel like I was really applying anything useful.

Burt's Bees Hand Salve, £7.15 or $4.16/$4.49

This had the same texture as the above product and a kind of medicinal smell. I know Burt's Bees products are quite popular and maybe I just have the wrong ones, but these did nothing for me. Sorry Mum.

Left To Right:

Vichy Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream Stick, £16.15 for 12g or $27.00. Trial Pack £3.89

I received this starter kit in my June 2012 GlossyBox. I tried this product in the shade Porcelain 11. I tried this with my fingers and with a flat make-up brush. I tried it as both a foundation and as a concealer. I also tried it with and without translucent powder. Unfortunately it did not work for me in any of these ways. I found it very drying on my skin. It concealed a certain amount, but as I found it quite dry and patchy I almost would rather have tried not to cover my blemishes at all as my skin did not look good after applying it and I was conscious of this.

GlossyBox Serie Exclusiv Pro Beauty Brush, RRP £15.00

I received this brush in my June 2012 GlossyBox. I like how this brush feels to the touch, but it does malt a bit and it just wasn't a great brush for applying my blush or contouring. I think it just doesn't have much shape to work around the face.

Jane Iredale Purelash Extender & Conditioner, £13.00 for 30g or $16.20 for 9g

I received this in one of my beauty boxes a long time ago and it has lasted ages for this wee sample. There was a period of time when I didn't use it because I couldn't find it, but I really like this product. It does give that extra something before you apply your mascara. It's a good base that lifts the lashes before you coat your usual mascara over the top. I think E.L.F. do one though so I will see if that's any cheaper and perhaps give it a try.

Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Volume & Length Mascara (Black), Sent to me for free

I was sent this mascara for free. You can Google this and find it on many links. I have already reviewed it here

Left To Right:

Ayuuri Natural Body Wash (Sensual Indian Rose), £4.95 for 200ml

I received this product in my April 2012 GlossyBox. This was nice enough to use. It lasted quite a while. The bottle was a little hard to open, especially in the shower and I don't like these bottle to squeeze the end of the bottle out of, but it did what it was meant to.

Gorgeous By Gok Sensational "Liquid Gold" Body Wash, £2.99 for 200ml

I received this as part of a Xmas vanity set from my Mum, Link. I love the smell of this range which usually comes out at Xmas exclusively to Boots. I will be asking for more this Xmas. This leaves a really nice glisten on your skin.

Boots Mango & Orange Blossom Shower Gel, £1.29 for 250ml

I bought this on a 3 for 2 at Boots. This does have a nice scent, but I do find it a little sickly after using it for a while.

Boots Coconut & Almond Shower Cream, £1.29 for 250ml

This was one of the other ones that I picked up in the 3 for 2. I really like this one. It has a milky, creamy scent.

Left To Right:

Gorgeous By Gok Sensational "Liquid Gold" Bath Essence, £2.99 for 200ml

This was also part of the same gift set. I enjoyed this product as much as the Body wash.

Gorgeous By Gok Sensational "Deluxe Gold" Body Butter, Various links on Ebay

This was from the same gift set also. This smells just as great and leaves a gorgeous glisten on the skin. My only bug bear with this product is that the yellow tint in it stains my clothes after applying it. It does come off clothes in the wash, but it's not great if you are wearing white.

Hello Kitty Liberty Body Scrub, 99p for 50ml and 50ml body butter included

This was part of my Xmas Gifts too. I love the scent and the packaging, but I didn't like the actual look of this product. It's a little brown.

Gillette Satin Care Sensitive Skin With Aloe Vera Shave Gel, £3.25 for 200ml or $1.97 for 7oz

I got this free with some other products that I bought from Boots. I like the Gillette shave Gels as they do give a smooth surface for shaving. This had a very neutral scent.

2 x Bic Razors, £1.27 for 5 razors

I got these in a pack as a present for Xmas. They do work pretty well. They are quite sharp which is good, but I can cut myself a little more easily if I don't take my time.

Left To Right:

Superdrug Essential Anti-Perspirant Deodorant

I can't remember if this can I bought myself or if it was given to me for Xmas. This was about 69p from Superdrug, but I can't find it on their website. I previously reviewed this here.

Boots Pretty Body spray, £1.02 for 75ml

My Mum gave this to me as she didn't like it much. I found the scent non-offensive though. It is quite pretty as the name suggests and a little floral.

Bex London Londoner Urban Fragrance (W1X), £81.00 for 100ml

I received this in my July 2012 GlossyBox. See my thoughts in that link. The tube stopped spraying near the end so I couldn't use the little bit left in the bottom.

Hollister California Perfume, Various Links On Ebay

My fella bought this for me at Xmas a couple of years ago. I have had this before and it's really nice. It's quite a sexy, but not overpowering scent. I would say this is more of a day scent for me personally.

Beyonce Heat Perfume

There are so many places to find this such as Ebay, Amazon and Argos that I would just say Google it as I bought mine a couple of years ago as apart of a gift set in the January sales from ASOS. This has a very warm and sensual scent. Definitely more of a night time fragrance. Quite seductive.

So that's all folks. What products have you been loving and loathing in July? Let me know in the comments below.

Love to you all

ModelCo Turbo Lash Wand & BYS Jet Black Mascara

Hello Lovelies. It's Saturday yay. I love weekends so much. If only they were longer. Today I have two products to show you so I will get straight into it.

The Kilpatrick PR team generously sent this ModelCo Turbo Lash Wand to me after I fell in love with it at their Speed Beauty Event. It was sent to me for free to review. As you can see the wand comes with a protective cover so that the wand stays clean and is safe from damage. I love the hot pink shade of this product.

It has a simple on and off slide switch.

As you can see from the mascara residue this is the side of the wand I used.

This is the back of the wand. At the top I think it may be a comb for going through your lashes? At the bottom there is a slide off backing where you need to insert 1 AA battery (not included when purchasing this product). There is a directional arrow showing you which way to slide it off. This does click shut nicely, but I think you could snap it if you were not careful.

Here is the Bonus Cleaning Brush that came with this wand. I tried using this to clean the wand after use, but as you can see from the third photo not much came off of the wand at all. I'm not too bothered though as I am sure this is easy enough to clean with a wipe.

So now I will tell you about the mascara I used with this tool.

This is the BYS Mascara in Jet Black. It says it's new on their website so I can't tell you if the formula has changed, but I bought this at BINTM Live! 2011. That was last November, but I have only opened it recently as I was using up other mascaras. It comes in a 15ml tube.

The wand of this mascara is quite long and that's exactly how it makes your lashes. This is a very lengthening mascara and it separates really well while giving a little volume too. The only downfall it has for me is that it has quite a wet formula so if you blink instantly after applying this it will transfer onto your eye make-up, but if you take your time and are careful this works wonders. This mascara really is jet black too. You can buy this mascara from makeup.uk.com for £2.49.

Now onto what this mascara and what the Turbo Lash Wand can do when used together ......

No mascara or heated curling.

After 2 coats of the BYS Jet Black Mascara was applied to the top lashes only. I always coat the top side of the lashes before applying to the under side as any products used on the eye like eye shadows that may have fallen onto the lashes will be covered by the mascara. I think it gives a denser pigmentation, especially when you blink or look down. Just a wee tip :)

After heat styling with the ModelCo Turbo Lash Wand.

Here are the steps in using this wand.

  • Insert the battery into the back. Apply mascara as usual. The ModelCo LASHXTEND mascara is recommended, but I just used my own. Switch on the wand and wait approximately 1 minute.

  • Place the wand at the roots of the lashes and gently push towards the eye lid. Hold for approximately 20-30 seconds and repeat as necessary. I manouvered mine carefully around my lashes to make sure I got them all, but I lifted the wand off and placed it back where I needed heat styling so that I didn't swipe though the lashes and remove any mascara.

You can buy this wand from modelcocosmetics.co.uk for £22.00. You can also get this product from boots.com at the same price where they currently have an offer of triple points when you spend £15.00 or more on selected beauty products. This is also apparently available at Debenhams, but I could not find it on their website, sorry.

I think this mascara works really well on my lashes and I would definitely repurchase it. It's so cheap, but works so well.

This ModelCo Turbo Lash Wand definitely give my lashes that extra oomph though. I wouldn't use this heating tool every day as my lashes are in quite good condition and I want to keep them that way. I can't thank the Kilpatrick PR team enough as I totally love this product.

I hope you found this post helpful. I think you can see the results are good from the photos. What are your favourite BYS and/or ModelCo products and why? Which ones are not your favourites and why?

Love to you all
