FOTD: StarGazer Eyes & Strictly Come Dancing Lips

Hello Darlings. I am really in the mood for blogging today. I hope you are all well. Thank God it's the weekend. Lets just say it's been a long week. In today's FOTD I want to share with you some StarGazer products that were sent to me for free. I was not asked to review them, but I will anyway :) I also love the lip combo in this look so let me know what you think.

StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadow (Denim)

StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadow (Silver Streak)

The Information:

Two high colour shades baked together give you great shading flexibility. Strong Colour and fantastic shade matching make these shadows a real colour tool.

Here is a link :) to these eye shadows that retail at £4.00 each.

StarGazer Metallic Eye Shadow Pen (Silver)

The Information:

The eye shadow pencil uses a very strong colour formula that goes on very easily and gives a blendable rich colour.

Here is a link :) to this pen that retails at £3.50.

Double Ended Strictly Come Dancing Lip Gloss. I received this in a gift set for Xmas 2010. I love this Fuschia pink shade and the glitter sparkle is fab. This does not have a name/number.

Left To Right Eye Products: StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadow (Denim), StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadow (Silver Streak) & StarGazer Metallic Eye Shadow Pen (Silver).

Top To Bottom: Strictly Come Dancing Fuschia Lip Gloss & Strictly Come Dancing Pink Sparkle Lip Gloss.

On the eyes I applied E.L.F. Eyelid Primer (Sheer) all over. I then applied MUA (Makeup Academy) Pearl Eyeshadow (Shade 2) under the brow bone. I then took the StarGazer Metallic Eye Shadow Pen (Silver) and applied it to my eyelid, including the inner corner. I also applied this to my waterline and cupids bow. I used my ring finger to spread the product evenly. The StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadow (Denim) I applied all over the eyelid, but I did leave the inner corner exposed as I really wanted the StarGazer Metallic Eye Shadow Pen (Silver) to shine here. The StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadow (Silver Streak) I applied to the outer V of the eye and into the crease. I also took it slightly underneath the lower lash line on the outer part only. I then applied MUA (Makeup Academy) Liquid Liner (Black Shade 5) to the upper lash line. I used Jane Iredale Purelash Extender & Conditioner to prime my eyelashes followed by Max Factor False lash Effect Fusion Volume & Length Mascara (Black) which was previously sent to me for free. I have reviewed this product already here :) I set my eyebrows with 17 Clear Definition Mascara.

To my lips I firstly applied Rose & Co Apothecary Rose Petal Salve. Then I added the Fuschia Pink Strictly Come Dancing Lip Gloss followed by the Pink Glitter Strictly Come Dancing Lip Gloss. I really love the combination of these two together.

Other products used in this FOTD are:

Me Me Me Seventh Heaven Enriched Moisturising Facebase

E.L.F. Studio Complete Coverage Concealer (Light)

Primark Ta Ta For Now Magic Undereye Concealer (Light)

E.L.F. Studio Translucent Matte Powder

E.L.F. Studio Mist & Set

I also tried a sample from a magazine of Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation Anti-Fatigue Effect & Radiant Glow SPF 15 (200 Soft Beige). I had to mix this with my moisturiser as it was a bit too dark for me. A good tip for those of you not wanting to waste samples ;) of foundation. You could also mix them with a foundation that is too light for you. As I did not use this product alone I can not say for sure if that's why I didn't like it, but it went patchy on me fairly quickly and gave quite a light coverage. This may be because of me mixing it with my moisturiser though.

I really like the StarGazer Metallic Eye Shadow Pen (Silver). It stayed really well on my waterline and was a fab inner corner highlight for my eyes. I do really like the merged shades of the StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadows too. They have great pigmentation. My only downfall is that my eyes did crease quite quickly. I am not sure if this is because I used an eyelid primer before using the other products or if using shimmery shades over an eye shadow pen causes this. I really have a problem with creasing when using cream eye products and eye shadow pens. Can someone please tell me if there is something I am doing wrong?

I think this is a really subtle smokey eye that can be worn day or night. With the gorgeous pink lips I think this would a really nice look for Valentines Day.

So just to confirm the products that I have used in this post that have been sent to me for free are:

StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadow (Denim)

StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadow (Silver Streak)

StarGazer Metallic Eye Shadow Pen (Silver)

Max Factor False lash Effect Fusion Volume & Length Mascara (Black)

Have you tried any of the other StarGazer Baked Duo Eye Shadows or Eye Shadow Pens? Any likes/dislikes?

Love to you all
