March 2012 JolieBox

Hey, it's me again. I thought it was meant to be a horrible day of rain today, but the sun is out and I'm not complaining. My March JolieBox did not show up for ages after I was told it had been dispatched so they sent me out another one which is why I am a little late posting about this. So here are the products in this box which is named 'Put A Spring In Your Step'.

Left To Right:

Yardley Luxury Body Wash (English Lavender) ~ £3.50 For 200ml

The Information:

A Luxury Body Wash containing Q10 that cleanses, nourishes and moisturises the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and delicately fragranced with English Lavender. Also available in two other fragrances: Royal English Daisy and Peony.

Application:

Use in the bath or shower to cleanse the body.

My Thoughts:

This is a full size product which is great. The scent reminds me of an aromatherapy massage oil. Very relaxing.

Davines Authentic Moisturising Face/Hair/Body Balm ~ £17.40

The Information:

A natural, conditioning, moisturising, organic, Safflower Oil base balm with a treble action: make-up remover for the face, hair balm and body moisturiser. Contains ingredients such as jojoba and sesam oil.

Application:

Face – Apply a small amount to face with cotton wool, avoiding contacts with eyes. Rinse with warm water.

Hair – Apply to towel dried hair. Leave for two minutes, comb the hair and rinse well.

Body – Can be applied to dry or damp skin. Leave for two minutes and then rinse.

My thoughts:

This is full size also which is fab. If you know me you know that I like multi-tasking products. Products like this are great for people who travel. This product has a herbal scent. I am a bit confused that it's described as a body moisturiser yet you are meant to rinse it off?

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner (Emerald Green) ~ £9.50 / €10.00 / $14.00

The Information:

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner Pencils for precise definition and intense colour. Line and define for long-lasting colour. The wax based, creamy formula allows for smooth application. Even when you sharpen the pencil to the smallest nub the silver handle remains for longer use. Available in six different shades.

Application:

Use light strokes close to the lash line for everyday definition.  Hold pencil on its side for thicker lines and a dramatic look.

My Thoughts:

I think this should have come with cardboard packaging as it did when I received one of these pencils in my January 2012 GlossyBox: The Valentine's Day Edition. You can see that post here. I could not see the name of this shade on the pencil. Maybe I missed it, but I would describe it as an emerald green. When I checked the website that is what it is called. This is a full size product also.

This is a gorgeous shade that I think will make my eyes pop. So pretty.

LCN Nail Polish From The Free Your Mind 2012 Collection ~ £5.50 For 8ml

The Information:

Discover the new Free Your Mind Collection by LCN! Fast drying nail polishes available in four dreamy, shimmery, on-trend pastel shades. No.330 Free Spirit (8ml), No.331 Free Your Mind (8ml), No. 332 Sky High (8ml) & No.333 Dreamcatcher (8ml).

Application:

For best results use a base coat followed by two coats of your favourite colour and finish with a top coat.

My Thoughts:

I could not see a shade name on the bottle so I'm not sure which one I have. I can not look now as I am not writing this post while at home, but I will check to see if any of the numbers above are on my bottle. If anyone knows please tell me :)

I would describe this as a beautiful golden, creamy caramel with pink, purple and orange shimmers. This is a full size product as well.

JolieBox Mirror

The Information:

A dainty compact mirror that will fit perfectly in your make-up bag.

My Thoughts:

It's always nice to get little extras in life. I think this mirror will fit snugly into my purse for on the go glances.

To top it all off JolieBox have also added the JOLIEMAG to their boxes.

The magazine includes information on products, spring releases, interviews, a manicure step-by-step guide, a www.loveheartsandcrosses.co.uk discount code and information about the JolieBox team, including one of my most favourite Vloggers/Bloggers Anna. You can find Anna's blog and YouTube channel on her Twitter profile @ViviannaMakeup

So overall I like my March JolieBox. I will definitely use all of the products. I love the eyeliner and nail polish shades.

October Feelunique Beauty Box

Well hello lovelies. I can't believe we are almost half way through October. It's crazy. Anyway on to today's post. I thought I would share with you the contents of my October feelunique.com Beauty Box. This box is called 'Pre-Winter Warmers'. So check it out :)

Left to Right: Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Straight Collection Blow Out Balm & Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Ultra-Moisturising  Hand Therapy

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

Said to be Bliss' best selling cleanser. The information:

- Oil-free, 2-in1 gel cleanser and exfoliator effectively removes dirt and makeup.
- Gently exfoliates with perfectly soft, round exfoliator beads.
- Calms the skin with soothing botanicals.
- Guys have been known to sneak some as a shaving cream stand-in.

A two-in-one oil-free exfoliating wash for all skin types, this fresh, fruity cleanser contains rose hip extract, milk thistle, passion flower and chamomile in a non-stripping formula that rebalances even the most schizophrenic of skins.

Ingredients: Water, sodium laureth sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine, glycerin, rose canina (rose hips) leaf extract, silybum marianum (milk thistle) seed extract, passiflora incarnata (passion flower) extract, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) leaf extract, acetyl hexapeptide-3, PEG-12 glyceryl distearate, cocamide DEA, glucosamine, pentylene, blue 1, fragrance, triethanolamine, methylparaben, methylisothiazolinone.

The instructions are to splash your face with water, apply generously over face and neck, massage, rinse well and follow with a moisturiser.

I am a fan of products with gel formulas, but that's just my personal preference. This has a clean, calm and subtle scent. It's a 2 in 1 also which is a plus.

This retails at £18.40 for 197ml. Please see the link here.

TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Straight Collection Blow Out Balm

Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards 2011 Winner for 'Best Frizz Controller'. To polish & refine. The information:

- Provides thermal protection and gives natural fullness
- Adds mega shine and softness
- Silk and Soy combine with Dragon Fruit to five a hydrated straight style
- Alluring Citrus Rosewood fragrance.

Sleek Mystique contains an exotic infusion inspired by the mysteries of the orient:

- Lychee
- Bamboo
- Honeysuckle
- Dragon Fruit
- Rice Bran Oil

This amazing blend smoothes, improves strength and adds divine shine to every hair type, creating a sublime canvas.

Transform hair into silky, glossy, fluid perfection.

The instructions are to smooth the balm through the hair and blow-dry in sections using a round or paddle brush.

I tried using this product last night and I have to say I am impressed. This really did smooth out my flyaway hair and made it feel silky. It also gave it some volume. I really like the gel formula. I much prefer this to cream products for smoothing and volumising as they are just way too heavy for my hair, making it greasy. This also has a quite musky, but sweet scent. It's different, but I like it.

This retails at £10.35 for 90ml. Please see the link here.

Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Ultra-Moisturising  Hand Therapy

The information:

The soft blend of spider lily along with night-blooming jasmine and other sea air accords make this scent truly one of kind and a luxurious way to keep your hands soft.

- Lightweight shea butter formula soothes and moisturises.
- Myrrh extract helps conditions cuticles and nails.
- Formulated without parabens, lauryl sulfates, mineral oil, and propylene glycol.

Fragrance: A soft blend of spider lily, citruses, night-blooming jasmine, green palms, and sea air accords.

Obviously you just apply this to your hands and rub in as you desire.

The cream sinks into the skin straight away. The scent is subtle, but a little old-fashioned for me. I will still give it a try though. I am really into my hand creams at the moment.

This retails at £14.00 for 100g or £8.00 for 50g. Please see the link here.

Left to Right: Orly Nail Lacquer in 'Green With Envy', Caudalie Vinexpert Radiance Day Fluid SPF10 & Burberry Body Eau De Parfum Spray

Orly Nail Lacquer in 'Green With Envy'

The information:

By popular demand, Orly brings the best and brightest of existing Orly shades together in the full size 18ml. Slick on one of these bold hues for high impact colour and shine. Choose from an exciting range of shades to find the perfect match, or pick an unexpected contrast for effect.

Each shade features the award-winning Gripper Cap. Said to be durable

The instructions are to shake well and apply 2 coats. Ensure to also apply base and top coats.

This is my first Orly nail polish so this will be interesting to try. This is quite a nice shade.

This retails at £8.75 for 18ml. Please see the link here.

Caudalie Vinexpert Radiance Day Fluid SPF10

The information:

This energising fluid with SPF10 offers complete firming, protective and anti-wrinkle action along with optimum moisture to ensure a glowing complexion all day long.

Main ingredients: anti-ageing grapevine Resveratrol anti-oxidant grapevine polyphenols(OPC), strengthening and moisturising Vinolevure, coppery pearlizers and light-reflecting pigments for an instant healthy glow, toning ginseng, nourishing and moisturising cassia angustifolia, sodium hyaluronate, shea butter, olive squalane and pea, soothing pro-vitamin B5 and camomile, encapuslated sun filter, energising cypress, basil, mint, galbanum, mandarin and ylang-ylang.

Obviously you just apply this as you would any face/neck moisturiser.

This is a smooth formula which is slightly fruity and slightly irridescent. I am always looking to try new moisturisers because I have such dry skin on my face. I like that it has an SPF.

This retails at £30.60 for 30ml. Please see the link here.

Burberry Body Eau De Parfum Spray

The information:

Established in 1856, Burberry is an iconic British luxury brand, recognised globally for its innovative menswear, womenswear, accessory, beauty and fragrance collections.

Burberry Body is the new fragrance for women. Developed under the direction of Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey, Burberry Body is a sensual and feminine fragrance with an eclectic combination of luxurious, refined ingredients.

Top notes: Green absinthe, peach and freesia.
Middle notes: Rose absolute, iris and sandalwood.
Base notes: Cashmeran, vanilla, amber and musk.

I would suggest to apply this to certain pulse points such as the insides of your wrists, behind your ears, insides of the elbows and at the back of your knees.

This was a little extra from feelunique and who doesn't love something extra. I would say this has a slightly masculine scent which is quite fresh, yet musky. This is another one for me to try out at work :)

This retails at £45.00 for 35ml, £55.00 for 60ml or £75.00 for 85ml. Please see the link here.

So that's it my loves. I really like the TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Straight Collection Blow Out Balm. I'm looking forward to trying out the nail polish and the perfume too. I will try out all of the products in this month's Beauty Box and let you know what I think though.

Please note that all prices are from the feelunique website and may vary elsewhere!
