Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters

Hi my loves. I have some swatches for you today of something fairly new to the UK and that is a few of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. I have only purchased three so far as I want to see if I like the formula first.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters In Shades Left To Right: Tutti Frutti (015), Cupcake (055) & Peach Parfait (025)

Swatches As Above

The Gorgeous Diamond Pattern Casing

Tutti Frutti (015) ~ A Satsuma Coral Shade

Cupcake (055) ~ A Barbie Pink Shade

Peach Parfait (025) ~ A Rose With Gold Shimmers Shade

On swatching these lip butters are very buttery indeed. They almost feel like they are melting so I am thinking I may leave mine in the fridge in the summer. They have no scent to them which I am not sure if I would have preferred given their names. I love the transparent patterned casing. The packaging represents the colour of the product which is fab. My only criticism is that I find the lids quite hard to pull off. It's good that you know the lid won't come off in your handbag or make-up bag though I guess.

I purchased mine in Superdrug for £7.99 each. I could not find them on their website, but I did find them on, Link :) where they are available for the same price or you can take up their current 3 for 2 offer.

I can't wait to try these products out as they are quite pigmented lip butters so you are getting smooth tinted lips. I hope they live up to the hype. I have my eye on the shades Creme Brulee and Cotton Candy.

Have you tried any of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters? Do you like them? What are your favourite shades? Do they work for you as a 2 in 1 product?

Love to you all

EOTD: Not A Green Eyed Monster

Hey Sweethearts. The sunshine has been beautiful this week. I wish I could have enjoyed it more, but unfortunately I have had lots to do as well as work :( I hope you have all had fun in the sun though. In this post I am going to show you how my Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in the shade Moray looks in a few photos. I received mine in my October 2011 GlossyBox. You can find that post here :)

This eye liner is a slimline twist up smudge stick. I found that I had to push up against the bottom to get it twist so try this if you had trouble with it after receiving it in your October 2011 GlossyBox as I previously thought I may have to throw it away after a couple of applications. I really like that the stick itself is the same shade as the product inside. I have many make-up products at home so it would be handy as a quick reference to see what other products are at a glance just by the shade of the packaging. The shade itself is beautiful. I have nothing else like it in my eye liner collection. It glides on easily leaving a subtle placement of definition while adding a hint of shimmer. This eye liner lasted all day too without fading or smudging.

For this look I applied my Benefit High Brow all over the eyelid and up to the brow bone. I then sketched the eye liner around my top and bottom lash lines, joining them into a subtle wing. I left the inner part of the eye free of eye liner. I smudged the eye liner ever so slightly with a cotton bud to add to that sexy smoke look. The mascara I used is Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Volume & Length Mascara (Black) which was previously sent to me for free and I reviewed here. I also applied MUA Eye Liner in Snow White to the waterline.

Here is a link to the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Moray, Link :) which is available at £13.00 for 0.3ml.

Did you receive this product in you GlossyBox? Were you happy with it?

Love to you all

NOTD: A Purple Pleaser

Hi Everyone. How are you gorgeous lot? It's nearly the end of March I can't believe it. At least we will have the Easter Bank Holiday's to come soon :) I have a NOTD post for you today so here we go.

I first applied one coat of my Rimmel base coat followed by two coats of this absolutely gorgeous Nail Lacquer from O.P.I., A Grape Fit! I am in love with this colour. It's stunning and looks great all by itself, but I did add my own little twist to this NOTD. It applies smoothly and is a very bold, opaque shade. This product is available from at £11.00 for 15ml, Link :), for £10.50, Link :), Amazon at various prices, Link :), or for £11.00, Link :)

I left all of my fingers with just the O.P.I. shade except my left ring finger. I used my StarGazer Nail Art Pen in Black to place a few dots and squiggly shapes. You can find this product at £3.00 for 10ml from, Link :). I sprayed this finger with my Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Spray so that I would not smudge the design. The rest of the nails I sealed with my Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

So here is the end result. This is definitely one of my favourite O.P.I. shades. I think it would look beautiful on anyone.

What is your current favourite nail shade? Do you like to have a signature piece of nail art in your manicure?

Love to you all

LOTD: Jordana Lipstick Raspberry (046)

It's me again my loves. I have used this gorgeous lip colour a few times now so I thought it was about time to show it to you.

 Jordana Lipstick (Raspberry 046)

I first picked up this lipstick in my 'Massive Make-up Haul' post, Link :) You can still buy this lipstick from for $1.30 in the sale, Link :) This lipstick is described as full coverage, dazzling colour with a rich and creamy texture. Lightweight with a smooth-glide on application and a soft shine finish. This lipstick does smooth onto my lips nicely even though it has a slightly more matte application than say a NYX Round Lipstick. It did not dry out my lips though. This colour is very pigmented and lasted about three to four hours before the need to re-apply. It faded evenly and does have a nice sheen to it. I would would describe this shade as a very glossy pinky purple. It can look either more pink or more purple in different lighting as shown in the photos above. This lipstick does have a very strong scent of raspberry to it so if you prefer your lipstick to be unscented you won't like this. For the price I think this is exceptional value.

Have you found any other great lipstick's? What bargains have you picked up from There are so many other products I would like to try from their website, but I can't afford to at the moment :(

Love to you all

EOTD: Double Duty

Hey Beauties. I hope you are all doing really well. I had a little go at trying out one of the shades from my Front Cover Cosmetics Micro Rainbow Eyes Palette and these are the results.

This palette contains 9 domed baked powders, an eye shadow applicator, a shadow liner and a gold sleeve. The idea is that you can either use the powders as eye shadows or use the shadow liner to wet the powder and apply as a liquid eyeliner. I think this compact is so cute. It's a nice size, has a range of colours and a good sized mirror. My friend bought me this set for my birthday this year. You can find that post here. I believe my friend would have picked this up around Xmas time as my birthday is in January so unfortunately I think you will no longer find this product in Boots Pharmacy, or I have however found a few on Ebay, Link :)

On the left is the shadow liner that came with this palette and on the right is a product from Eyeko named Magic Liquid Eyeliner. This Eyeko product basically does the same thing with any eye shadow. Eyeko no longer appear to sell this product on their website, but you can find it at, Link :) and, Link :)

Shadow Liner Applicators As Above

Swatches using the bottom far left purple shade of the palette, as in my EOTD photos. Left: swatched as an eye shadow, Centre: swatched with the Front Cover Cosmetics Shadow Liner & Right: swatched with the Eyeko Magic Eyeliner

This colour is very buildable as an eye shadow. I think the Front Cover Cosmetics shadow liner does a good job in transforming the shadow into a liner, but I think the Eyeko Magic Liquid Eyeliner makes the shadow appear slightly more pigmented. I rubbed my finger over the liner swatches when they had dried and neither of them budged. My eyeliner stayed put all day. I think the idea behind these products is impressive. If you want a certain type of colour eyeliner for a look, but you know you wouldn't wear it as often as say black or brown then just convert your eye shadow. I wouldn't expect the same kind of pigmentation you get from your typical liquid eyeliner though. You need to to keep building the product up to get the desired effect. I would suggest to wipe your liner applicator before you dip it back into it's container each time as you will be changing between colours.

I would definitely say to give either of these products a try. I think they are great value and will save you taking extra products out with you, especially if you tend to travel a lot.

Have you found any products that have a multi-purpose I should know about? Do you think these shadow liners are something you would like to try?

Love to you all

NOTD: St Patrick's Day/Mother's Day Inspired

Hey my loves. To those who celebrate it 'Happy St Patrick's Day'. Because of the St Patrick's Day and Mother's Day celebrations both falling on this weekend I thought I would create a nail design with both of those in mind.

Firstly I applied my usual Rimmel base coat. I then applied my Barry M Nail Paint in Mint Green (304) with two coats. This nail paint is available for £2.99, Link :)

I then wrote the 'I' and 'MUM' parts on this nail only using my StarGazer Nail Art Pen (White). This is available for £3.00, Link :)

I then drew a heart next to the 'I' using my StarGazer Nail Art Pen (Red) which is also £3.00, Link :)

So here is the finished design. I left all of my other nails with just the mint green shade. As you may be able to see there are a couple of air bubbles formed on my nail design. Be aware of this if you are going to try using nail art pens as while keeping a steady hand and squeezing the product out this can easily happen.

My Mum has been away since Wednesday and will return tomorrow. We don't really have any plans for Mother's Day except I will make her dinner and I might paint her nails. I hope that all of you celebrating with your Mum's have a lovely day tomorrow and if you are a Mum yourself make sure that you get thoroughly spoiled. If you have unfortunately lost your Mum then I hope tomorrow you will do something nice for you and remember the good things about her.

Love to you all

Lipstick Haul/Swatches & 1 Nail Polish

Hey Beauties. I am trying to catch up with my haul posts and show you products I have bought within the last couple of months. I have a lot of lipstick's to show you and one nail polish.

Left To Right: Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick's In Shades Malaga (058), Innocence (009), Extreme Black (207), Strip-Tease (020) & New Age (032). Natural Collection Nail Colour (Topaz)

Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick's ~ £2.59 Each, Link :)Link :)

These are said to keep colour on your lips for 6 hours while keepig them soft and moisturised.

Swatches Of Lipsticks As Above

Malaga (058) ~ A 50's bombshell red

Innocence (009) ~ A Barbie Pink

Extreme Black (207) ~ A Black

Strip-Tease (020) ~ A Golden Peachy Nude

New Age (032) ~ A Soft Lilac/Lavender

These lipstick's have a click shut casing which is a little concave on the lid. These lipstick's have a sweet scent to them which I quite like as it's not overpowering. I got the black shade for Halloween looks and perhaps to wear under other shades to deepen them.

Natural Collection Nail Colour (Topaz) ~ £1.89

I could not find this on the website, but I bought mine in store. This is a pearlescent baby blue shade.

Left To Right: Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipstick's In Shades Queen Of Hearts (1), Pink Shock (2), PassionFruit (5), Bubblegum (6), Sweet Tart (8), Mango Tango (14) & Birthday Suit (15)

Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipstick's ~ £2.99 Each, Link :), Link :)

This product is said to have a luxurious creamy feel and to lock colour to lips all day! Avaiable in 11 shades with an SPF15.

Swatches As Above. Top Left To Bottom Right

Queen Of Hearts (1) ~ A Bold Deep Red

Pink Shock (2) ~ A Very Hot Pink

PassionFruit (5) ~ A Vibrant Coral Red

Bubblegum (6) ~ A Blue-Toned Barbie Pink

Sweet Tart (8) ~ A Pinky Coral

Mango Tango (14) ~ An Orange Red

Birthday Suit (15) ~ A Very Pale Skin Tone

These have a click shut casing and a lid with a sloping top. They have the typical lipstick scent. I love the pigmentation of these lipstick's. I think the shade Birthday Suit might be a good base to blank out natural lip colour (concealer lips if you will) so that other colours will really pop.

Left To Right: Collection 2000 Volume Sensation Lipstick's In Shades Forever Heather (1), Perfect Pink (2), Pretty Please (5), Sea Shell (10) & Peachy Keen (11)

Collection 2000 Volume Sensation Lipstick's ~ £2.99 Each, Link :), Link :)

Moisturising lipstick's containing 40% moisturising ingredients to plump your pout in a flash! Available in 11 shades.

Swatches As Above

Forever Heather (1) ~ A rosey Brown

Perfect Pink (2) ~ A Pink Frost With A Lavender Undertone

Pretty Please (5) ~ An Orange Coral

Sea Shell (10) ~ A Salmon Rose Pink

Peachy Keen (11) ~ A Golden With Rose Undertone

These have the same casing as the Lasting Colour Lipsticks except it's pink and doesn't have the hot pink detail around the middle. They do have a very slight sweet smell to a couple of them, but the others are the usual lipstick scent. Online these have a black casing so I'm not sure if the pink casing is new or old? The Forever Heather Shade is a bit darker, but very similar to the Burberry lipstick I received in this month's GlossyBox. Please find that post here.

There was a little confusion when I was in Boots Pharmacy purchasing these Collection 2000  lipsticks as I thought they were all 2 for £5.00 because of the way they were displayed. Because the assistant also found it confusing they ended up letting me buy all of the Collection 2000 lipstick's on this deal.

Collection 2000 appear to have now updated their name to I believe just 'Collection', but at the time of purchasing these came under the name Collection 2000.

So that's it for this make-up haul. Have you found any great lipstick shades lately? Are you a fan of any I have picked up in this haul?

Love to you all

March 2012 GlossyBox: The Harrods Edition

Hey Everyone. I hope your week has been going well. I have had a headache since Monday so I am burning a candle in the hope it will relax me, ha ha :) I am going to show you today the products I received in my March GlossyBox: The Harrods Edition.

The Box Itself With A Beauty Booklet

I Love The Harrods Ribbon Detailing

Inside The Box

Left To Right: Fendi Fan Di Fendi Eau De Toilette, Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum & Erno Laszlo The Hollywood Collection: 5 Piece Cream Gift Set

Fendi Fan Di Fendi Eau De Toilette ~ £35.00 For 30ml, £50.00 For 50ml Or £60.00 For 75ml, Link :)

The Information:

  • Fan di FENDI Eau de Toilette radiates with sunlight. The famous Forever buckle from the Baguette bag, has changed from black to shiny white gold. The cap, a subtle reminder of the Peekaboo bag clasp has changed from black to shiny white ivory. The fragrance is vibrant and lively, leaving a lasting impression of light, addictive Roman leather on the skin.

  • Top Notes: tangerine, pear-blackcurrant and pink peppercorn
  • Middle Notes: damascena Rose and Yellow Jasmine
  • Base Notes: soft Leather and patchouli

My Thoughts:

I find the description 'leaving a lasting impression of light, addictive Roman leather on the skin' a little strange. I do actually quite like the scent though. I would describe it as a sexy, warm summer fragrance. The bottle looks very sophisticated too.

Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum ~ £16.00, Link :)

The Information:

  • This highly concentrated multi-tasking serum from Ojon is fortified with nature's hair-repairing golden elixir plus exotic Rouge Oleifera to penetrate the hair shaft, helping to strengthen weak hair, fix flyaways and tame frizz. The weightless formula restores brilliant shine, whilst adding suppleness and manageability to dull, damaged hair.
  • Restorative hair serum
  • Tames fizz and flyaways

Warm one to two drops in palms of hands and apply to damp or dry hair concentrating on the ends. Use daily before heat styling or as a finishing touch.

My Thoughts:

This sounds like a nice enough hair serum, but we seem to get so many hair products that I'm a bit bored of them now.

I am looking forward to trying these products, but I hope I don't like them that much because they are so pricey. I like the sleek look of the packaging though.

My Thoughts:

This feels like a very smooth cream with a clean, fresh scent. It's still more than I would usually pay for a body cream.

So overall I do like this month's GlossyBox. I am not too bothered about the hair serum, but I like the other products so far. This box does feel quite sophisticated and a bit more expensive. I am not sure why the information card in this month's GlossyBox does not have the prices of the products? It feels a bit like when you go into a shop and there are no prices on the products so you know you can't afford them, ha ha ;) Apologies for the text in this post and the white background through part of it as Blogger is not letting me amend this :(

For more information on GlossyBox check out this Link :)

What products did you receive in your GlossyBox this month? Were you happy with the products?

Love to you all
