NOTD: Children In Need

Hey Dolls I hope your week is going well. Tonight I thought that I would paint my nails with Children In Need as my inspiration.

Left to Right: O.P.I. Nail Lacquer Funny Bunny, Link :), Nails Supreme Yellow, Link :), StarGazer Nail Art Pens in Blue, Green & Red, Link :)

I have been wearing my Children In Need wrist wear for the last couple of weeks and thought it would be a great basis to refer to when creating these nails.

I used my usual Rimmel base coat. Then I applied three coats of the O.P.I. Nail Lacquer Funny Bunny as it's sheerer than I thought. I think it's quite a nice shade to wear alone actually as it's not a true white. It's more of a pearl shade. I then just dotted the colours on from the nail art pens.

Are you taking part in any fund raising for Children In Need or made a donation? Have you created any nail art designs lately? Let me know in the comments below.

Love to you all

NOTD: Remembrance Day/Poppy Day

Hello Sweethearts. First off who is excited for the last episode of TOWIE tonight? I know I'll be watching it. For now though I thought I'd write this post on my NOTD. With Remembrance Day/Poppy Day approaching I thought it would be fitting to add a touch of poppy inspiration to my nails in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives during the two World Wars.

Nails Inc. Pembroke Close and Nails Supreme Nail Art Pens in Red, Green & Black from the Silver Gloss Range, Link :)

I applied my usual Rimmel base coat. Then I applied 2 coats of Nails Inc. Pembroke Close. The first coat looked quite thin, but the second coat sorted this out. I love this purple shade. As I have mentioned in another post I do find the lid on Nails Inc. polishes a bit hard to keep control of due to the shiny surface and the shape. I then used the Nails Supreme Nail Art Pens to create a poppy (sort of) on my ring fingers. I'm not too bothered that they are not perfect shapes. I quite like just adding a bit of nail art to one nail sometimes so that I can show off the main nail colour a little more. I then added my usual top coat to all fingers except the ring fingers as I thought I may smudge them before taking these photos. I ended up smudging the poppy in the top photo anyway so I should have just applied it, haa haa. I don't think this Nails Inc. nail polish shade is available anymore, but you could probably find it on ebay.

Have you picked up a poppy? Have you created any nail art that you think I might like?

Love to you all

NOTD: Red With White Polka Dots

Hi you wonderful lovelies. I always feel much better after painting my nails and wanted to show you how I painted them today.

Firstly I applied this gorgeous rosy red classic shade from pearlfashionuk.com. The shade is called Signal Red. I purchased this at a beauty/fashion show before I began blogging so I am not too sure of the price. Unfortunately the website does not show you prices unless you log in, sorry. I applied two coats here. It went on very smoothly. I think this looks very nice as it is, but to pep it up a bit I added a bit more.

Next I used my Nails Supreme Nail Art Pen in White. As you can see I did 3 rows of 3 dots with 2 rows of 2 dots in between them. I hope that makes sense. I think it's a simple, but effective look.

You simply pop the top off of the pen, squeeze the pen a little and dot onto your nail. I always do a couple of dots on my hand first to get used to the pressure before applying this to my nails and to release any trapped air in the pen.

If you were to unscrew the pen there is a brush inside so that you can use it as a nail polish too. This pen is from the Nails Supreme Silver Gloss Range which includes a pack of ten nail art pens in various colours for £19.99. Please see the link here :)

I also have the Nails Supreme Gold Shimmer Range which is also £19.99. Please see the link here :)

These nail art pens are what first sparked my interest in nail art. I think that they are perfect for beginners of nail art and at approximately £2 per nail art pen they are fab!

Are you a fan of nail art? What are your favourite nail art pens? Have you used these or other pens and come up with some great designs?

Love to you all
