BLOG BIRTHDAY

Hi everyone. Today's post is really just to say thank you for reading my blog, taking the time to comment on my posts, giving me inspiration to keep going when I have bloggers mind block.

Today is my blog's 3rd birthday. Beautiful Addictions started off as just a hobby for me. I found it very hard in the beginning deciding what to write about as I didn't know much about blogging and what others liked reading most. 

My photos were not terrible, but not fantastic either. I am not a pro photographer now, but I do think more about lighting, composition and trying to get the most true to life colours in my shots so that you know what you are seeing is real life. 

I think my posts are more structured and the look of my blog layout has changed from pink and spotty with bows to a more fresh style. I am however looking to change my blog's appearance a little more. Can anybody please advise that if I remove customisations on Blogger will I lose all changes I have made or just to the template layout? I am thinking of changing to a 2 column layout, but don't want to mess everything up.

Also I am in talks with a company currently which I will reveal more about very soon. I will be creating a vlog series around one product initially while introducing you to their brand. Vlogging is something I have wanted to venture into and although I keep saying I will I just never get round to it, but now there are no excuses so watch this space :) Any tips on vlogging please leave as I haven't got a clue.

Also let me know your thoughts on my style of blogging and blog layout? What posts do you like to read the most? What attracts you keep on viewing a blog? What types of videos would you like to see from me?

Beautiful Addictions' 2nd Birthday!

Hey there beautiful people. I just wanted to pop on my wee blog to say thank you to any of you that take the time to read or comment on my blog. I have really enjoyed developing Beautiful Addictions over the past 2 years and getting to know more and more of you. I still have many ways in which I want to develop my blog though. I am always learning from others and love to discover new blogs along with the people behind them. 

I hope that many of you still enjoy to read my posts. I try to write a mixture of reviews and hauls along with the occasional creative make-up or nail art post. Feel free to put your suggestions in the comments below of the type of posts you would like to see as I am open to suggestions.

When I first began my blog I was fearful that no one would enjoy reading my posts or want to hear my opinions, but I am so glad that I gave blogging a go as after all I had nothing to lose. I hope that you feel at home when you read my posts as I really feel like I am talking to you when I write them.

If you are thinking of starting your own blog please give it a go. You don't need to know the ins and outs of how blogging works in the beginning just make your blog your own and write about what you love.

My 1st Blog Birthday

Hello my Beauties. I hope you are all fine and dandy. I am writing this post later than I wanted to today, but I couldn't miss out on showing my Mum around my new abode after work. 

This post is a very brief one simply to say thank you. I appreciate every single one of you that take the time to read my blog posts and write comments. It still warms my heart to know that someone out there gets something out of me rambling on. Of course I love what I write about, but I am still learning and hopefully improving as I blog more and more. 

I have been to my first two PR events in the last couple of weeks and met some lovely people. As much as I enjoy playing about taking photos at home and tapping away on my keyboard writing posts it's great to meet the people behind the product, camera lense or computer screen. If you see me about in the street or at an event please say Hi. I am on Twitter too if you fancy a natter, @vickyayles.

I do always have ideas floating around my head of what to write about, but as my blog baby has become a year old I really want your input on how you would like to see it grow. If there are particular blog posts that you would like me to write about please let me know and I will of course consider them. I want to keep my blog fresh and up to date so your thoughts are important to me.

Once I have moved into my house (hopefully some time in June) and I have had at least a month to settle in I am thinking of making YouTube videos. please let me know if this is something that you would like to see and if the answer is yes what kind of videos you would like so I can consider those also. All video editing, uploading and any other tips are welcome.

So that's it Sweethearts. I hope this wasn't too boring as there aren't any colourful photos in this post, but you lovelies put the rainbow in my day.
