NOTD: Nails Inc. Belgrave Square Nail Polish

Hey there beauts. Massive love to you all. Today I have a NOTD post for you. It's a gorgeous summer shade that I just can not hide from you and here it is.

I started off with one coat of my Rimmel stronger base coat followed by three coats of this Nails Inc. Belgrave Square Nail Polish. I usually want to only use two coats at most when painting my nails, but this shade is quite a thin formula. You can still actually see the tip line of nails through it. I have to say that this colour is gorgeous though. It's a very pinky coral with gold shimmer. Beautiful for this time of year. I finished off this manicure with my Elegant Touch Nail Drying Spray.

I am afraid I could not add a link in for this product as anywhere that did stock it appears to have sold out for now. I would suggest Ebay or Amazon if you really want this shade.

What are you favourite Nails Inc. shades? Are you a fan of coral on the nails? Let me know in the comments below.

My Latest 2 Face Creams

Hey wonderful people. What have you been up to today? I have a couple of mini reviews of face creams for you so here we go.

Left: Sebamed Anti-Dry Day Defence Cream, £7.99 for 50ml or $22.95

I received this product in my December GlossyBox where you can find all of the information about it. Even though this is a day cream I used this both day and night. It's a very gentle and soft scented cream. I would imagine this to work well for sensitive skins. It did feel nice to use and worked well enough.

Right: L'Occitane En Provence Immortelle Precious Cream, £43.00 for 50ml

I received this product in my March GlossyBox where again you can see full information about this product. Now I did enjoy using this face cream. It has a thick and rich density to it that feels like it is going to work a little harder for your skin than some other face creams and I do love the scent. It's quite herbal and relaxing. I have seen various prices for this on Amazon and Ebay so I would say if you are interested in trying this out see what deals are on at the time as I think that £43.00 for 50ml is too much.

So that's it for these two mini reviews. Which products do you recommend from both of these brands and why? Let me know in the comments below.

NOTD: Rio Multi-Colour Glitter Nail Varnish

Hey everyone. I have a really sparkly nail post for you today that I hope you will like. I felt the need to sparkle and multi-colour felt like the way to go with this gorgeous summer weather.

I applied one coat of my Rimmel stronger base coat followed by one coat of this MUA Nail Varnish Shade 10. I have a feeling this may be a limited edition shade. I think I got this free in Superdrug when they were giving away 2 MUA nail shades if you bought 2 bottles of diet coke. Please let myself and others know in the comments below if this was a limited edition shade. You could use any neutral shade for this look. I just wanted something to take away the yellow staining on my nails. This is a champagne shade, but beige, cream, white, silver or gold would work with this look too.

I then applied 2 coats of this Chit Chat Nail Varnish in the shade Rio over the top. This was a Xmas present that I asked for and I am glad that I did. It was just £1.00 from Poundland. There are smaller and larger glitter particles in shades of red, blue, green, silver and gold.

I think this makes you look like you have put more effort into decorating your nails than you actually have. Chips do not show up as easily with this manicure either as there is no defined line at the tip of your nails. Great for a long wearing look. I finished off with my Elegant Touch Nail Drying Spray.

I have not added links into this post as I can't find these on the web, but hopefully your local stores will stock these if not something similar.

What are your favourite glitter shades? Have you found some great cheap nail polishes that you think could be dupes? Let me know in the comments below.

Shaved

Hi All and how are we? Today I wanted to talk to you about two rather basic products that are a necessary part of body care life and they are for shaving.

Left: Morrisons Sensitive Aloe Vera Shave Gel, £1.10 for 200ml

This shave gel works really well for shaving and is a very good price. The fact that I can pick it up on my weekly shop is a bonus too. I would buy this again if I needed one at the last minute, but the scent puts me off a little as to me it smells a bit masculine. When I am shaving my legs I want to feel womanly and sexy not masculine in any way.

Superdrug 5 Pack Twin Blade Disposable Ladies Razors With A Lubricating Strip, £1.29

I find these razors really annoying and I will not repurchase them so let me tell you why. They are a bit too sharp and I have nicked myself with them more than I would like. The bit that annoys me most about them though is that the heads on them tend to come off while shaving. This is not good when trying to fish around in the bath for a blade with half shaved legs. Obviously putting the blade back on is not fun with wet hands either. When I tried to put the blade back on one it broke too.

I hope that this has helped some of you by reviewing these two products. Please let me know in the comments below if you enjoy these basic type of reviews as I do try and review everything for you.

Michael Kors Very Hollywood

Hi Guys and welcome back. Any newbies reading my blog today say Hi! Today I have two products to talk about that came in a gift set I bought for myself in the January sales a couple of years ago.

Michael Kors Very Hollywood ~ Left: Sparkling Eau De Toilette Spray & Right: Body Lotion

I was very attracted to the packaging of these two products. I like the shape of the spray bottle, especially the lid and of course the bottle itself is glittery. I took the star charm off while using this in the end though as I find those rather annoying when not properly attached to scents because they have a tendancy to fall off.

I expected this spray to be glittery as it says sparkling and the bottle is too, but it is not. I really like the scent though. It's subtly sexy. Suitable for both day and night. I think it's a great scent for this time of year. It smells expensive and will get you noticed.

The body lotion obviously smells the same. It adds a nice layering effect to hold the scent on the skin for longer. I always enjoy using matching fragrances and body creams, especially when going somewhere special. The cream worked well and dried pretty quickly.

I can't remember what I paid for this set now, but these products are still available. The packaging has changed and because you may want only one product of a certain size or the gift set I have not added links as there are many places that stock this range.

What are your favourite Michael Kors fragrances? Let me know along with your other favourite scents in the comments below.

DHC Q10 Base MakeUp Moisture Care Liquid Foundation (No 00 & No 01)

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! Have you been having a good weekend so far? I went to the opticians and saw Mum on Friday, blogged and did some chores on Saturday and tonight we are off out with my fella's family for dinner and drinks.

Today I want to review for you a foundation that was sent out to me for free by Freedom PR. It's the DHC Q10 Base MakeUp Moisture Care Liquid Foundation in shades No 00 & No 01. These are the two lightest shades.

Left: No 00 & Right: No 01

Both of these shades are called Natural Ocher. In fact all four shades are named this which I find rather strange. The other two shades are 02 and 03.

Shade 00

Shade 01

So here is some information about this foundation:

This ultra-moisturising, age-fighting foundation is bursting with free-radical fighting super antioxidant coenzyme Q10. It not only provides full, even coverage for flawless-looking skin, its blend of collagen, elastin and oat kernel extract moisturise and plump to help minimise the appearance of fine lines.

Application:

Dispense a small amount and spread evenly over face using fingertips or a make-up sponge.

I have tried both of these shades and neither of them look as dark as they do in these swatches. They are a little bit too orange toned for my skin, but to be honest when looking for lighter shades in a foundation is a struggle these actually don't look that far away from my natural skin tone. When there are only four shades in a range you are lucky if you get a perfect match.

At first I tried applying this with my stippling brush. I find most foundations work well with this, but this one did not. Although this foundation is liquid it seems to cling to my face in just one area when using my brush. I can not fault the foundation though as it does not advise to use a brush to apply.

Therefore I went on to using my fingers to apply this. It does work much better in this way. I think the warmth of my fingers helped to manoeuvre it around my face a lot easier.

I did use powder to set this at first, but I found that dry patches were showing up a little as this foundation is quite matte when it sets so I stopped using the powder. My concealer clings to my skin a little more too when using this foundation so it makes that a bit harder to work with.

I am able to go over with more than one layer, but I still find that my hyper pigmentation on my face shows through as it doesn't seem to cover as a full foundation like it looks on my hand. I would say it's light/medium at most.

I used just one pump in each of these photos. I can cover my whole face and neck with just one pump as I always apply down to where my neckline finishes on my clothes.

There does not appear to be any scent to these foundations.

I do like the packaging. It's a feminine shade without being tacky. It doesn't look cheap at all.

I found shades 00 and 01 to be very similar. 01 had very slightly more of a deeper tone, but to be honest on my skin there wasn't much difference.

So here are the pro's & con's:

Pro's ~

Easy to apply (if applied fairly quickly)
A little goes a long way
No need for powder
Pretty good match for light skin
Buildable
No Scent
Nice packaging

Con's ~

A little too orange in tone
Drying
Makes concealer harder to apply
Not great coverage
Too expensive with it's £25.00 price tag

Please bear in mind that these pro's and con's are based on how I found this product to work for my skin type.

So would I buy this in the future. I have to be honest and say no. It's too drying for me so even though it's meant to be great for the skin it's not great for mine. I want more coverage from a foundation and if I'm going to pay this much for it it has to work better for me. I am disappointed as I loved the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil that I tried in one of my GlossyBox's so hopefully I will try another of their products in the future and fall in love with that.

To view the details of this foundation for yourself check out this link.

How do you find this foundation works for you if you have tried it? Are there any other DHC products that you recommend trying? Let me know in the comments below.

NOTD: Ciate London Paint Pot Pocket Money (PP107)

Hi there cuties. I woke up early this morning so I thought why not sort through my emails and blog. I have a NOTD post for you today.

I applied one coat of my Rimmel Stronger Base Coat followed by two coats of this Ciate London Paint Pot Pocket Money (PP107) which I received in my July GlossyBox. This is described as a creamy fudge nude and I couldn't put it any better myself. Nudes can either look right or wrong I think on the nails as depending on your skin tone they can sometimes make you look like you have no nails at all. As this is a deeper nude and I am obviously very pale I think this looks like a nice stand out nude. Because it is a nude though it so wearable with anything. The long handle made it easy to apply. I have always liked the look of the Ciate bottles as they are so cute and feminine while still looking mature enough for all ages. I love the name of this shade. It makes me feel immature in a good way :) The product itself lasted really well on my nails. It only started to chip after about 5/6 days. This manicure was finished off with a coat of my Elegant Touch Nail Drying Spray.

You can pick up this product for £9.00 for 13.5ml here.

What are your favourite Ciate Paint Pots? Do you have any favourite nudes from any brand? Let me know in the comments below.

My Daniel Footwear Wish List

Hi there beauties. Happy Thursday to you all. Today I have a wish list post for you. Etail PR are giving bloggers the chance to win £150 to spend at Daniel Footwear plus a beach bag full of holiday essentials including a pair of Havaianas and a £50 Boots voucher!

Daniel Footwear are an established since 1993 boutique designer retail chain with over 30 stores in the UK and an online store. They provide customers with exquisitely stylish footwear, handbags and accessories. Alongside the unique Daniel brand, Daniel Footwear also provides high end labels such as See by Chloe, Lulu Guinness, DKNY, Love Moschino, Ash, UGG, Tory Burch, Hunter, Michael Kors Armani Jeans and many more.

Lots of the shoes on this site are fabulous, but these are the three that I want, want, want so bad!

Left:

Lola Cruz Nude Echelon Women’s Studded Flat Pumps, From £90.00

I love these slipper style pumps. They look fierce, yet comfortable and would go with so many outfits due to their nude tone.

Centre:

Tory Burch Black Jelly Bow Women’s Ballet Flat, From £69.00

I love that the jelly trend has returned for the summer. These shoes do not follow in the footsteps (ha, ha) of the casual jelly though. They are a smarter, classic looking style.

Right:

Daniel Beige Homegirl Women’s Studded Loafer, From £17.00

What an amazing price. These are a similar style to the pair on the left, but of a paler nude like my skin :)

There really are some fabulous items on this site so if fashion for your feet is right up your street then check out Daniel Footwear in this link! Sorry for the rhyming, but I couldn't help myself :)

If you are a blogger interested in entering this competition then please check out this link and enter by 2pm Friday 19th July!

Which items from Daniel Footwear are your favourites? Do you have a favourite designer that they stock? Let me know in the comments below.

Rehydrating and calming for the skin. Suitable for all skin types. Hydrating facial mist.

Spritz onto the face after cleansing or even over make-up to refresh and set make-up.

I do like to use a face mist in the summer months and if it helps prolong how my make-up maintains then all the better. I tried this this morning though and I will be giving it to my friend as I don't like the smell. It smells like I am a lot older than I am.

Ciate London Paint Pot Pocket Money (PP107), £9.00 for 13.5ml

The ultimate in understated luxury, this creamy fudge nude is a sweet treat for fingers and the perfect girly indulgence. Break open your piggy bank and splash out on some me time.

  • The 250 bristle flat brush guarantees a flawless even finish.
  • The bottle ergonomically designed to sit comfortably in your hand for maximum control.
  • The formula is amazingly pigmented, long lasting and available in a range of finishes whilst formulated to be easy to apply.
  • And the satin bow Finishing touch which crowns each polish. Perfection.
Paint a second coat for a solid pigment finish.

I wasn't sure how this would look on my nails with it being a nude, but I have to say I have already tried this and I love it. A blog post will be coming up soon with how it looks! This bottle is adorable too.

So that's all of the products in this month's box. I think this is a lovely box, especially for this time of year. The box itself is bright and summery too.

LeKiosk New Magazine Mobile App

Hi guys and Happy Sunday! I think I will cry if this lovely weather does not continue when I am on leave in a couple of weeks so fingers crossed. Today I have a post for you reviewing the LeKiosk New mobile app. Diffusion PR asked if I would take a look at this magazine app to see how I liked it and write a review with an overview of how it works. Diffusion PR gave me 10 free credits so that I could access the magazines I wanted to look at. So let me show you how the LeKiosk New app looks and works.

Here is the 3D Newsstand as it appears on your phone. There are more than 100 UK titles and 70 Italian. You can swipe left or right to turn the stand as it has four sides displaying various magazines. The top row of magazines that is set back slightly rotates too so you can spin through this using the same swiping motion if you swipe your finger over that area. As you can see here I am on the Women's Interest section. You can search for particular types of magazines if you wish by entering key words in the spy glass search tab (top right).

If you tap the Newsstand button (bottom left) again this page comes up as an alternative way to view the magazines.

When you find a magazine of interest you tap on it and a description of the magazine comes up with a summary of what's inside that issue and other related magazines. I purchased this magazine which is why it now says read, but prior to this it said sample so that you get to flick through the first pages to see if you want to make a purchase. The price of the magazine is shown too. I have been using credits so I made my purchases with those. It asks if you would like to proceed and if you do press proceed.

Here is my library of magazines that I have picked up so far. The ones with the number 1 I have not yet read. I am not sure what the pins mean. Any magazines that you have read remain in your library so if you want to go back to an article or read the whole magazine again you can. Here I have picked up Vogue UK, Red, Elle UK, Marie Claire UK, Elle Canada, Women's Fitness, Harper's Bazaar UK, Women's Health & Feel Good You. I wanted to try a variety of magazines that I don't usually buy so that I could see if I liked them. There are magazines from different countries too that you may not usually be able to pick up over in the UK so that's nice to see.

The reading button on this screen shows you the last magazine you were reading. The Me tab is your LeKiosk account information. In the Other tab are your purchases, regional store (UK or Italia), customer service and settings.

Half way through trialling out the LeKiosk app I was asked to try out the LeKiosk New. To be honest I have not noticed a difference in the way it works and the screens look the same. So here is how it looks on my phone.

LeKiosk and LeKiosk New are available for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Web. It requires iOS 5 or later. App payments are made to Apple so no need to disclose your credit card information. Back issues of magazines are also available. Both the LeKiosk and LeKiosk New are free apps. I would personally suggest getting the LeKiosk New simply beacause it has more titles. There are bundle options or you can make single purchases of magazine titles.

The pages of the magazines are very clear as you can see. You can double tap once to zoom or twice to zoom further. You can also use your fingers to zoom in on certain areas more specifically.

I do think this app is a great idea for those on the go. Although there are handbag size versions of some magazines now it does save you carrying something extra around. Handy for the fashionista who wants to carry her dainty clutch, but still read her favourite magazines on her travels.

Personally I prefer picking up a magazine and flicking through the pages. I am the same if I read a book though. My full time job means that I use a computer 9 hours a day and obviously thereafter at home I am on my laptop in the evenings and weekends so a paper magazine or book are my preferred options.

Here are the magazine's on offer:

Find BBC Good Food Magazine, BBC History Magazine, BBC Knowledge Magazine, BBC Lonely Planet Magazine, BBC Top Gear Magazine, BBC Wildlife Magazine, Countryfile, Easycook, Focus UK, Gardeners'World, Gardens Illustrated, Homes & Antiques, Junior, Olive Magazine, Practical Parenting & Pregnancy, Prima Baby, Sky at Night, Who Do You Think You Are, You and Your Wedding, Brides, Conde Nast Traveller, Easy Living, Glamour, GQ Style, GQ, House & Garden, Tatler, The World of Interior, Vogue, Wired, Wired Annual, Classic Trial, Trial Magazine, Auto Express, Bizarre, Computer Shopper, Custom PC, Digital SLR Photography, Evo, Fortean Times, Health & Fitness, Land Rover, Mac User, Men's Fitness, Micro Mart, Octane, PC Pro, The Week, Viz, Web User, Women's Fitness, 442 UK, Autocar, Autosport, Classic & Sport Car UK, f1 Racing UK, Motorsport News, Practical Caravan, Practical Motorhome, Stuff UK, What Car ?, What hifi UK, 25 Beautiful Homes, Amateur Gardening, Amateur Photographer, Beautiful Kitchen, Country Homes & Interiors, Country Life, Cycle Sport, Cycling Active, Cycling Fitness, Cycling Weekly, Decanter, Essentials, Golf Monthly, Homes & Gardens, Horse & Hound, Ideal Home, International Boat Industry, Living Etc, Marie Claire UK, Motor Boat Monthly, Motorboat & Yachting, Mountain Bike Rider, NME, Nuts, Girls of nUTS, Practical Boat Owner, Rugby World, SuperYacht World, The Field, TV & Satelitte Week, TV Times, Uncut, Uncut Ultimate, What Digital Camera, What's On TV, Woman & Home, Woman & Homes Feel Good You, Woman & Home's Feel Good Food, World Soccer, Yachting Monthly, Yachting World, The Spectator and much more… (Note: the list is subject to change. Check magazines availability from the application).

I have enjoyed trialling out this app so thanks to Diffusion PR.

Have you tried out the LeKiosk and/or LeKiosk New apps? If yes, what are your thoughts on them? If no, are they something that appeals to you and why? Let me know in the comments below.

Bargain Fashion Websites

Hey there my loves. What are you all up to on this fine Saturday? I haven't had much time to blog this week so I really wanted to sit down today and get into writing some posts.

I have been approached by fashionvouchers.com to take part in their fashion blogger competition. The idea of this post is to tell you about the best fashion websites I have found for inexpensive shopping. The bargain shopper in me is very happy to share these with you. There are many websites I have come across and these are a variety that I have actually purchased from and/or written reviews for. They are in no particular order.

A firm favourite of many females, especially bloggers. This website has such a cool vibe that just makes you want to be the girls in the adverts strutting around in their sexy outfits. Missguided has lots of on trend items. There are some simple separates, but a lot of va va voom pieces too. I would certainly look here for a night out dress. There is usually a very good sale on too. At the moment they have one for up to 50% off and they offer free delivery quite frequently. Here are two items I found in their sale.

Ulani Knitted Stud Trucker Cap, £8.99

I have a thing for studs. This is an easy to throw on head piece to vamp up even the most plain outfit. Great to hide greasy roots too. I would wear this with skinny sweat pants, a cropped t-shirt and high top wedge trainers. Alternatively, a neon bodycon dress and peep toe ankle boots would work well.

Leather Collar Tartan Skater Dress, £14.99

Cute and fun, but the leather collar adds an edge. Sleeves rolled up or down. Open as many buttons at the front as you please or keep it prim as in this photo. Various belts would change this look easily too. I would style this up with a satchel, black over the knee socks and clunky ankle strap shoes.

This is somewhere I shop a lot. There is always something on this site that catches my eye. You can find my most recent purchases in this post, link. There are always great reductions on this site, but even without the sales there are some very inexpensive pieces that still look on fashionable and are good quality. They currently have an up to 75% off sale. Three more fabulous sale finds.

Faye Cross Over Back Detail Maxi Dress, £12.00

This is such an elegant piece. It's sexy, yet understated. I would wear it as in the photo with a dainty necklace or reverse it with the cross over at the front and wear a bright bandeau underneath for 2 dresses in 1.

Lola Solid Colour Latina Tie Front Dress, £15.00

This is a great dress for any occasion. It has that sexy plunging neckline with a little cut out detail for those shy of exposing too much flesh. I would wear this with a gold chain choker and black flats with gold embellishment.

Tia Slit Shoulder Tie Dye Sweat Dress, £10.00

I would actually cut out the middle section of the arm slits to make one open hole on each arm. I think this dress would look great too if spiked studs were added around the chest and arm areas. I would wear this with a baseball cap, converse and a rucksack.

Affordable doesn't even cover it. Bargain items are to be had here. You can view the cheap disco pants I purchased from them in this post, link. They too have a mid season sale on right now. Here are the leggings I love on the site at the moment.

KarmaClothing Black Pink Barbie Doll Print Leggings, £6.99

I know these will not be to everyone's taste, but I just love them. They are so fun and who doesn't love Barbie? I can see these with a plain black sweat top and high top trainers.

KarmaClothing Black Gold Stud Cross Side Panel Ankle Length Leggings, £11.99

I would wear these with black cut out heel lace up ankle boots and a slashed white t-shirt tied up at one side to show off the cross detail.

I recently wrote a guest blog post for this website as the fashion is beyond affordable. True value for money. I have made an order with them recently and I am very happy. This blog post will be coming up soon. To view their blog check out this link. It's like a sale everyday with this website as it's already so cheap, but not in quality looking at the pieces I have ordered. They do have lots of competitions like Win A Wardrobe which is drawn weekly. The shoes capture me every time on this site.

Skull Bow & T-Bar Velour Shoes, £5.00

These are so cool. I would wear these with dresses, disco pants, jeans. Anything and everything really. Love, love, love!

Small Wedge Simple Faux Leather Flats, £5.00

These would be perfect for shopping days where a colour pop is needed, especially in the summer. Blue skinny jeans, a white fitted t-shirt and red lipstick to match is all I would need for this look.

Although I haven't actually ordered anything from this site yet myself I recently reviewed one of their dresses in this blog post, link. This gave me the opportunity to be introduced to the site and find some really affordable pieces that I like. They currently have an up to 50% off sale.

Chiffon Wrap Over Playsuit In Mocha, £13.99

This piece can easily be accessorised and made to look very expensive. A gold choker and matching gold cuff would would work perfectly here accompanied by cream heels and a cream clutch.

Black Gipsy Mock Ribbed Over Knee Tights, £6.99

These would sexy up any outfit. For a playful look I would wear these with dungaree shorts or a skater skirt with braces. Either look I would team with chunky heels and a cropped t-shirt.

I love to scan through the pages of the asos website as there are some adorable items on there. The only fault I can say with this site is that there are so many pieces that I like and I want them all. I know that this is a very popular place to shop and I can definitely see why. Asos caters for all genders, ages and styles. There are many items on the site that appeal to me which is why I never tire of looking through the site. There is currently an up to 70% off sale too.

ASOS Skater Dress With Slash Neck And Short Sleeves, £20.00

This could be such a changeable dress for day or night. Black peep toe wedges, white over the knee socks and a black bowler hat for day or a cream belt and cream court shoes for the evening.

Glamorous Pinafore Dress In Tartan, £25.00

I would go full on school girl with this look. A white fitted shirt done all the way up with a black ribbon tie, ribbed long socks and platform shoes. Glasses would add to the look also.

I am glad that I now know about fashionvouchers.com too as it is such a useful shopping tool to assist in finding the best fashion deals out there.

So where do you find your most affordable fashion bargains online? Do you use sites like fashionvouchers.com to find the best sites to shop on at that time? Let me know in the comments below.
