BLOGGERS LOVE LFW GIFTING LOUNGE

Hi everyone. In this post I want to share with you my experience of attending the Bloggers Love LFW Gifting Lounge on Tuesday evening at the Hoxton Arches.

This was a new venue for Bloggers Love events as I know Danielle who runs the show has been trialling out different event spaces since the closure of The Penthouse London last year. I was excited to see how guests would be dressed due to the Gossip Girl theme. There were some signature Blair Waldorf headbands and of course more grunge styles from Jenny Humphrey fans as well as other great cast member resemblances.

For the first time this Bloggers Love event had the brands around the edges of the room with all guests in the centre. After chatting with a couple of brands I turned around to see the room filled with guests and more piling in. It was a struggle to speak with all of the brands I must admit. Bloggers Love events have become very popular over time due to Danielle's amazing efforts which is why some travel from afar to attend.

There was dinner party arranged for bloggers who wanted to attend prior to the gifting. It was meant to be a 3 course meal from a choice of 3 set menus which bloggers had to pay I believe £28 for to attend. I did not book a place as I wasn't sure I could leave work in time so I just went to the gifting session.

There were a lot not so happy faces in the room when I got chatting with other bloggers who told me that the caterers cancelled so they had pizza and water instead. I can understand their frustration as £28 for a pizza is very steep.

I believe that bloggers were given the opportunity to choose their pizza toppings, but the pizza boxes arrived unmarked so some people said their pizza was cold or the wrong topping. A couple of bloggers that cancelled due to there being no gluten free option were refunded.

I think that if I had booked the meal for myself I would have declined the offer of the gourmet pizza and requested a refund. Not because I wouldn't want to have pizza, but simply because of how much the pizza would cost.

For a full explanation of what happened on the night from Danielle please see this link!

So now let me get on to the good bits as there definitely were some fab brands to meet :)

Nadia Minkoff has always been a firm favourite with me at the Bloggers Love events. These muted tones would suit any fashionista's wardrobe palette. The Spring/Summer 2015 collection however boasts bright hues including lemon, cobalt and orange which have me excited for colourful styling.

The jewellery is exquisite with wearable styles as shown above that I would wear all year through.

I was very kindly gifted with a pearl choker necklace that I can't wait to incorporate into many looks.

OMG there were so many items in this collection that I wanted. I met the lovely Nikki Dominic who told me about her wonderful travels which inspire her to create. I was kindly gifted with the MAIZIE NECKLACE. It's truly beautiful and one I will treasure.

With a quote at the forefront of this brand saying "Accessorising is a way to say who we are without having to speak" I totally agree. The items on the Souksy website are heavenly statements to show off your true style and personality.

Ellie started Betty's Bikini Boutique to create customised swimwear styles for beach babes of all shapes and sizes to suit their individual needs and fashion tastes. Ellie includes a variety of embellishment choices in her designs for each customer to create their own unique pieces. So if you are a bling queen, like fluffy feathering or even chains and spikes as above (my favourite) why not consult with Ellie in time for your holiday's this year.

IKRUSH have an insane amount of great fashion and accessories on their website at such fab value pricing for girls who want to keep up to date with trends.

Emma and Pippa have designed a beautiful range of jewellery items including Hamsa hands, peace signs, tassels, wishbones, beading and gems. My favourite items are the ones shown above.

AKA are a contemporary and progressive luxury menswear and ladies wear brand with a minimalistic and monochromatic approach. With intricate hand-designed prints such as their OTHERWORLD DRESS and their ZANGA SHIRT DRESS it makes you think for a minute why we ever needed colour TV. Sometimes simple is all we need. I was given the option to choose a piece so I went for the YENA MESH TEE BLACK. I will love adding a white vest or even various bright shades underneath to make the AKA logo pop.

This was a very interesting skincare brand to meet as although their range wasn't immense the contents appeared to be wondrous. With solutions for cellulite, varicose veins, dry/damaged skin, scar minimising and spot treatments. I was told that I will be sent the Tranquility Ultra Soothing Cream for Dry Damaged Skin which I will be happy to let you know how I get on with.

This skincare, haircare and body care brand have a wonderful array of products that I want to know more about including a BB Cream. I have been gifted with their BALANCE BODY LOTION which smells divine. I think they were going to send me over their eye cream too so that I could review it for you.

There were a couple of other brands there on the night most of which I have spoken about in other Bloggers Love posts so check out those too :)

I know a lot of people were disappointed by the Bloggers Love event. I think that because it was so packed at the venue and with the the upset over the meal a lot of bloggers felt let down.

I have attended pretty much all of Danielle's Bloggers Love events and always come away feeling satisfied to some degree.

Even though this was a gifting event brands were not obliged to gift to all. It was an opportunity for bloggers to meet with brands and if they were lucky to be gifted.

I am a bit confused as to why as a VIB I was not given a priority gifting card at this event as usual, but I believe that bloggers who attended the meal were gifted them instead? I was however gifted at the event which I am grateful for.

If bloggers did not request a refund and decline the pizza I think they should put this one down to experience. I am told they were informed of the change prior to the pizza being ordered.

It wasn't an ideal part of the night, but if you went to a restaurant ordering a 3 course meal and they gave you a pizza would you eat it and then complain afterwards? That may sound harsh, but I think it's a valid point.

I for one have not been put off attending future Bloggers Love events and have just applied for the Bloggers Fashion Week being held over 2 days in March.

Let me know if you will be attending the Bloggers Love Bloggers Fashion Week in March. I hope to see you there.

Love to you all

OUTFIT IDEAS: VALENTINE'S DAY / NIGHT

Hi lovelies and welcome to my blog. Valentine's Day is a bit Marmite for some people whether single or not.

Me and my boyfriend are planning to spend time together at home which suits us both. I am very happy to pour myself a drink while he cooks me a meal ;)

Anyway whatever your plans this year why not make yourself feel special. I have put together a couple of outfits to hopefully inspire you for that special date or girls night out!

I love this Carrie Bradshaw style. This amazing Anna dress was gifted to me by ADORE BOUTIQUE.

This gorgeous Pimlico Pouch from NADIA MINKOFF is the perfect accessory for Valentine's Day with it's red hue and on trend laser cut detailing. This was also a gift to me from Nadia.

The bolero is from Only which is a great piece to cover my arms and shoulders while adding a little shimmer.

I can't remember where my heart/arrow necklace and love ring were from, but the love rings are very popular so I am sure you can find them easily online.

My faithful boots are from Dorothy Perkins which I love to wear with feminine styles to give them a more edgy look.

If you want to go full on here I am sexy the sweetheart neckline on this dress really gives you that impact in this bold pink shade. The sequin embellishment on the cut out back is extra special for that added something. I have this in black which I wore a few weeks ago. The ruching is great to hide problem areas while giving you a va-va voom hourglass shape. I got this at Everything 5 Pounds where I have found many great bargains. This shade appears to be sold out, but there are four other alternate shades here.

The earrings are cute from Bank and match well with the dress. I can't remember where my cupid necklace was from.

The quilted bag I bought at The Clothes Show many years ago.

The black bolero was from Primark.

These heels are perfect for giving you height and are actually very comfortable. They are also from Everything 5 Pounds and appear to be sold out, but they have amazing alternatives in their footwear section here.

Within my jewellery collection I also found these other pieces which I think could also be worn with these outfits.

The I ❤ ME studs are from Accessorize. The L O V E rings came in a set I think from Dorothy Perkins. I sometimes wear the V on it's own as my initial. The two bottom left rings were presents from my boyfriend. I can't remember where the rest is from.

I have not added links for all items as I bought them quite a while ago. They are featured for ideas to wear.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a great Valentine's Day/Night wherever and whoever you are with.

Love to you all

BLOGGERS LOVE HUB DAY 4

Hi beauties. I hope you are all very well and feeling festive. I must admit I'm not quite there yet, but once December starts next week I am sure sleigh bells will be ringing in my ears :)

On Monday evening I attended Day 4 of the Bloggers Love Hub at the Kanaloa club as a VIB. It was a great night with more brilliant brands that got me excited and I can't wait to share with you.

SLENDERTONE were in attendance once again entertaining X Factor contestant Lydia Lucy with their face toning tool. Slendertone very kindly gifted me with some new pads for my own ab toning belt.

With my front row seat ready I was excited for what came next.

CATWALK

YOURS TRULY ORGANICS have an organic skincare range to tackle skincare troubles. The idea is to re-educate the skin and change the way the skin behaves. With products for soothing, repairing and brightening amongst many other benefits this range is worth a look. Although most products I am told work well for oily skin I have been given the Face Base Face Balm to try on my dry skin as it is meant to be a great primer for make-up.

The lovely Laura from Adore Boutique gave me the opportunity to choose a delicious item from her fabulous rail of clothing. I chose the Anna dress which is just gorgeous. This girl has talent with everything from on trend fashion items to beautifully crafted pieces that are very intricate and detailed.

I was very pleased to meet the lovely Angela in person as I have previously reviewed four Timeless Truth Beauty Masks which you can read here! I am already a fan of these masks and have been gifted with another to try so watch out for that review :)

Knowing that Nadia Minkoff would be at another Bloggers Love event made me very happy indeed. The lady herself is a pleasure to talk to and her products speak for themselves. A present was reserved for me in advance and I was gobsmacked when I unwrapped it at home. I have been gifted with the Pimlico Pouch. There are no words. I am astounded and very grateful. I also have some jewellery which was partly in the Bloggers Love goodie bag along with some Dermalogica products.

This popular tanning range were at the event promoting their illuminating skin finishers. They have a lovely sheen rather than shimmer to highlight the face and body and accentuate that tan. I was also given some fake tan advice and product recommendations too. I was told that my pale dry skin would work best with medium shade lotion products for a smooth application and to see a difference in colour, but still look natural.

Offering a personalised skincare service meant only for you. 5 easy steps are all it takes to have your bespoke products in your possession.

1. Select your skin type, age & ethnicity.
2. Choose your preferred texture of product.
3. Choose am or pm for application time.
4. Select your skincare concerns and priorities.
5. Add your mood boost preference.

The ingredients will then be conjured up into your own unique blend tailor made for your skincare needs. Best of all your name is adorned onto your products for that extra special just for you touch. You can have an online chat with a skincare expert, before committing to a purchase to ensure you choose the right products for you. You can also gift someone with bespoke products to show you went that extra mile.

In Situ asked me to fill out a questionnaire on the evening. They will be sending me a £30 voucher so that I can order my own personalised product as I did not see this offer prior to the event. I can't wait :)

With a great selection of A/W pieces this fashion brand drew me in. I am especially a fan of their winter coats and Aztec print.

Prior to meeting with the lady herself (no not Katie for those wondering) I had viewed this fashion website and was wowed with sexy and quite daring (for me anyway) pieces. Jordan reassured me that each piece can be made to your own request. For example I asked if an insert of material could be added to a dress with a quite exposed chest area to still show some cleavage, but add modesty and support? The answer is yes. I loved The 'Coppelia X' Glitter Skater (far left). It's well lined and embellished with lots of sparkling detail for that wow factor. So why Jordans Wardrobe? Jordan has tried and tested these designs herself. This really is Jordans Wardrobe as you can see when she models these pieces on her site.

This supplement brand I have already reviewed the BioCorrex Uber SKin Plus collagen powder for in a series of 3 vlogs (Intro, mid-way & results) which you can view here! As well as covering your skincare needs from the inside BioCorrex also have supplements on offer for hair growth, volume, strength and shine.

Vernez is the newly interactive website and I-Phone mobile app that allows you to create your own e-wardrobe, share outfit ideas and discover others styles.

So you have found a piece you love, but have a mind blank on how to wear it. No worries. Check out other users style suggestions.

It's simple to put an outfit together without all the fuss of trying stuff on only to be hot and bothered, probably staying in wearing your pyjamas.

I think this is a very innovative way of creating and discovering new styles. Last minute invites need never cause trauma again!

UMBERTO GIANNINI were also pampering guests' tresses to perfection.

There were four days of the Bloggers Love Hub. I unfortunately missed Day 2, but you can view Day 1 here and Day 3 here.

A massive well done to Danielle for organising these fantastic events. I have no idea how she manages it.

Let me know your favourite pieces and brands in the comments below.

Love to you all

BLOGGERS LOVE LFW GIFTING LOUNGE

Hi there beauties. It's been a manic week, but I am here today to share with you the many fabulous brands I met at the Bloggers Love Gifting Lounge on Monday as a celebration of London Fashion Week.

Louise from Love Lola Designs hand paints these gorgeous personalised bags herself. I love them all, but the double compartment chain style (top) is my favourite. As well as many bag styles and sizes Louise also creates fabulous designs on cups, candles, cushions and much more. Great for gifts, especially with Xmas looming or just to treat yourself :)

I don't fake tan too often as I always fear I will get it wrong ending up in obvious streaks and smelling like biscuits or curry as my boyfriend says. I was gifted with the Montana Tan 1 Hour Mousse. I do find waiting for fake tans to develop a bit of a chore so I will hopefully fall in love with this product. I am planning on testing it out next week so keep an eye out for a review soon.

Before attending this event I fell in love with these Fur Pom Pom Bobble Hats. The pom poms are interchangeable which is such a great idea to mix and match with your outfit. The Floral Crowns are so beautiful. Perfect for bold femininity.

Fancy blinging up your shoes, clothing, fashion accessories, car keys or just about anything else with Swarovski Crystals? AJ Boutique will customise to suit your personal style or to gift someone special with a unique design. I love the sparkle detail on these booties.

With handbag styles I dare you not to fall in love with and a charming jewellery range. You can view my two posts where I feature Nadia Minkoff earrings in an OOTD and where I first met the brand here.

The jewels at Dress Me Betty had me very excited. They are perfect for dressing up any plain outfit giving it a beautiful edge. I was very lucky to be gifted with the Panache pendant (bottom left).

Suave 101 are an urban London brand with a clothing range mix of t shirts, vests, polos, sweatshirts, headwear and accessories. With options including beautifully printed designs as well the monochrome Suave 101 logo designs above this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to styling options. Suave 101 offer a customising service. Choose your style of tee or vest to work with adding material and/or zip embellishments for your own unique piece. Although probably assumed to be a menswear brand there was a lot of interest at the event from the ladies. I know I would be able to style up their tees easily. It was lovely to meet Jack C.E.O. of the brand.

CATWALK

An amazing collection from Tinkilove.

Unfortunately I missed the 2nd catwalk show as the evening ran behind a little and I had to leave.

So who else did I meet on the night?

Ever bought that great dress for an event and failed to notice until the photos of you in your outfit were up that you have VPL! Well fear no more ladies as Shibue Couture have the answer to your concerns. With options such as strapless panties, cover ups, lift ups and much more you may just want to leave your dress at home ;) I have No Line Strapless Panties to try as well as a couple of the Peel and Toss Strapless Panties. So naughty, yet so practical.

Rush Hair & Beauty have an amazing site full of products to fulfil your hair and beauty needs. I was kindly gifted with two volumising products.

The name speaks for itself, but Optimus PM are certainly a team I want to know better. With a very impressive client list and an enticing affiliate programme I am definitely interested in working with them. They were also kind enough to gift me with beauty products too.

Beautiful quality printed scarves which are aptly named. I think my favourite is the design Wild Yonder.

Beautifully crafted leather handbags with a floral theme. My two favourites were the patent croc Cataleya which is perfect for transporting your laptop and other business essentials and the Alyssum which is a classic everyday bag.

Unfortunately I did not get to speak with this brand, but I can tell you that they offer a customising service adorning your chosen items with crystal gems for that unique style. Whether it be shoes, headbands, phone cases and more Dolly's Bling Shop will make your pieces gem-tastic.

It was pretty busy around this brand. Fuffy's Fantasies offer customised bras and bikinis to girls that want to show off their top assets ;)

With the quote 'Fake it till you make it' Glam Drawer are a fashion brand for girls who want to really accentuate their curves. With fashion for girls with confidence in their silhouette head to Glam Drawer.

With many fashion brands all under one roof House of Trendella have fantastic style options. It was so hard to get to them through the crowd of girls, but I managed it in the end. My favourite piece from what was left on their rack was the HoT Basics Green Sequin Open Back Bodycon Dress which would be fantastic at an event, especially under lights to make you glow.

With a wide variety of fashion clothing and accessories that are unique one off pieces so only you can have them! Focused on helping you find items to suit your style and size Kisses From Coco are there for you.

I met the lovely Stacey from Lash Magnifique. Specialising in semi-permanent eyelash extensions that are bonded on with a medical adhesive. They can last up to 2 months depending on your natural lash growth/shed cycle. Giving you the look of instantly lifted lashes without the need to apply mascara. Stacey was so sweet offering me the chance to have these lashes applied as well as gifting me with a yummy cupcake :)

With fashion forward catwalk inspired pieces. Novo London have seriously sexy items that should be on the radar of girls who want to dress to impress with sleek sophistication.

For sexy, sassy fashion head over to Rhomes Boutique. With a fantastic range of on trend and celebrity inspired pieces that are affordable too.

Sophisticated European style is brought to you by Sabella Collection. With chic, sexy figure enhancing pieces beautifully wrapped and presented in the signature Sabella boxes to make you feel special.

With a stunning 100% silk scarf collection you can drape yourself in luxury. My favourite scarf from collection one is the Olga. A wildly vibrant style.

I have met this brand before at a few Bloggers Love events and I am definitely a fan. With a wide range of bang on trend affordable fashion.

I have previously featured Valour & Valkyrie in an outfit post and at another Bloggers Love event here. With pieces to flatter and enhance they have something to offer for everyone.

I had a fantastic chat with fashionable accountant MD Carol Hanson as well as style & confidence coach Chelle Shoet. They both really understand that clothes and accessories are not all that is needed to make a great outfit. Confidence to know that you are wearing the best style and shape to enhance your figure whether you be an apple, pear, hourglass, strawberry triangle or athletic is key. They truly want to ensure that you feel at home when shopping at Want Her Dress so that you will come back knowing that what you order online is right for you. I know I have stopped myself ordering online before as I can't always be bothered with returns if the items are not right for me. Knowing that Want Her Dress are keen to prevent this with their fantastic tips on dressing for your shape gives me hope for the future of online shopping.

Sockie Bijoux introduced me to a very different type of product. Not socks, shoes or stockings. I think of them as lingerie for your feet. Although I am not sure I would wear them alone I think I will try wearing the cross design pair I was gifted with to emphasise some shoes.

Sorry if I missed out any brands, but it was hard to get around everyone at the event.

I hope you liked this post. Let me know your brand favourites including any pieces in the comments below.

Love to you all
