CHRISTMAS PARTY OUTFIT - JOE BROWNS

Hi lovelies. I have put together a great outfit from the partywear selection at Joe Browns which I am hoping will give you some inspiration this festive season.

This rich blue shade with beautifully embroidered pale gold detailing is perfect for dinner, drinks and dancing too. The skirt shows the perfect amount of leg for modern modesty while the off the shoulder styling offers a little sexiness.

I love pairing feminine dresses with ankle bootees and these velvet embossed ones have amazing style. They are a great height for dancing and will save you painting your toenails!

Why not go all out and add more sparkle with this limited edition hand-embellished sequin and beaded shrug.

This is a perfect size for those essentials ladies. Pretty lace and a charming bow are the perfect combination to accessorise this outfit. The chain is concealable too.

Why not share your favourite Joe Browns PARTYWEAR picks in the comments below.

BOHO PRIMARK HAUL

Hi loves! I hope your weekend was fantastic. I caught up with a friend of mine which was lovely. Retail therapy always adds to the joy so here is Primark haul for you :)

QUILTED PURSE - £6

My purse was looking a little shabby. I have been using it for years. This new addition I am in love with. It's more of a taupe pink shade than it is showing up in this photo. It has so many compartments perfect for all my bits and bobs.

FRINGE TASSEL BAG - £12

My last handbag broke. I like a large one for every day use with just one compartment so I can chuck things in. Black is my preference for every day. The handle means that the bag hangs at a really nice level (not to high or low). The fringe detail gives any outfit interest, but it's still wearable with so many things.

LACE YOKE BELTED TOPS - REDUCED TO £5 EACH

These were an amazing bargain. I think they look great with or without the belt. I have wanted this sort of style top for a while in crisp white, but I couldn't resist this amazing rust shade too. The sweetheart neckline is modest with the lace detailing around the collar. Because these can be belted I think they are great for girls like me with a little extra on top as usually this floaty style makes me look bigger than I am. I would usually buy a size 10 and sometimes as 12 on top, but I got these in a 6 and they are perfect.

So that's my Primark haul guys. If you would like a 'what's in my handbag' style post let me know in the comments below.

BLOGGERS LOVE LFW GIFTING LOUNGE

Hi everyone. In this post I want to share with you my experience of attending the Bloggers Love LFW Gifting Lounge on Tuesday evening at the Hoxton Arches.

This was a new venue for Bloggers Love events as I know Danielle who runs the show has been trialling out different event spaces since the closure of The Penthouse London last year. I was excited to see how guests would be dressed due to the Gossip Girl theme. There were some signature Blair Waldorf headbands and of course more grunge styles from Jenny Humphrey fans as well as other great cast member resemblances.

For the first time this Bloggers Love event had the brands around the edges of the room with all guests in the centre. After chatting with a couple of brands I turned around to see the room filled with guests and more piling in. It was a struggle to speak with all of the brands I must admit. Bloggers Love events have become very popular over time due to Danielle's amazing efforts which is why some travel from afar to attend.

There was dinner party arranged for bloggers who wanted to attend prior to the gifting. It was meant to be a 3 course meal from a choice of 3 set menus which bloggers had to pay I believe £28 for to attend. I did not book a place as I wasn't sure I could leave work in time so I just went to the gifting session.

There were a lot not so happy faces in the room when I got chatting with other bloggers who told me that the caterers cancelled so they had pizza and water instead. I can understand their frustration as £28 for a pizza is very steep.

I believe that bloggers were given the opportunity to choose their pizza toppings, but the pizza boxes arrived unmarked so some people said their pizza was cold or the wrong topping. A couple of bloggers that cancelled due to there being no gluten free option were refunded.

I think that if I had booked the meal for myself I would have declined the offer of the gourmet pizza and requested a refund. Not because I wouldn't want to have pizza, but simply because of how much the pizza would cost.

For a full explanation of what happened on the night from Danielle please see this link!

So now let me get on to the good bits as there definitely were some fab brands to meet :)

Nadia Minkoff has always been a firm favourite with me at the Bloggers Love events. These muted tones would suit any fashionista's wardrobe palette. The Spring/Summer 2015 collection however boasts bright hues including lemon, cobalt and orange which have me excited for colourful styling.

The jewellery is exquisite with wearable styles as shown above that I would wear all year through.

I was very kindly gifted with a pearl choker necklace that I can't wait to incorporate into many looks.

OMG there were so many items in this collection that I wanted. I met the lovely Nikki Dominic who told me about her wonderful travels which inspire her to create. I was kindly gifted with the MAIZIE NECKLACE. It's truly beautiful and one I will treasure.

With a quote at the forefront of this brand saying "Accessorising is a way to say who we are without having to speak" I totally agree. The items on the Souksy website are heavenly statements to show off your true style and personality.

Ellie started Betty's Bikini Boutique to create customised swimwear styles for beach babes of all shapes and sizes to suit their individual needs and fashion tastes. Ellie includes a variety of embellishment choices in her designs for each customer to create their own unique pieces. So if you are a bling queen, like fluffy feathering or even chains and spikes as above (my favourite) why not consult with Ellie in time for your holiday's this year.

IKRUSH have an insane amount of great fashion and accessories on their website at such fab value pricing for girls who want to keep up to date with trends.

Emma and Pippa have designed a beautiful range of jewellery items including Hamsa hands, peace signs, tassels, wishbones, beading and gems. My favourite items are the ones shown above.

AKA are a contemporary and progressive luxury menswear and ladies wear brand with a minimalistic and monochromatic approach. With intricate hand-designed prints such as their OTHERWORLD DRESS and their ZANGA SHIRT DRESS it makes you think for a minute why we ever needed colour TV. Sometimes simple is all we need. I was given the option to choose a piece so I went for the YENA MESH TEE BLACK. I will love adding a white vest or even various bright shades underneath to make the AKA logo pop.

This was a very interesting skincare brand to meet as although their range wasn't immense the contents appeared to be wondrous. With solutions for cellulite, varicose veins, dry/damaged skin, scar minimising and spot treatments. I was told that I will be sent the Tranquility Ultra Soothing Cream for Dry Damaged Skin which I will be happy to let you know how I get on with.

This skincare, haircare and body care brand have a wonderful array of products that I want to know more about including a BB Cream. I have been gifted with their BALANCE BODY LOTION which smells divine. I think they were going to send me over their eye cream too so that I could review it for you.

There were a couple of other brands there on the night most of which I have spoken about in other Bloggers Love posts so check out those too :)

I know a lot of people were disappointed by the Bloggers Love event. I think that because it was so packed at the venue and with the the upset over the meal a lot of bloggers felt let down.

I have attended pretty much all of Danielle's Bloggers Love events and always come away feeling satisfied to some degree.

Even though this was a gifting event brands were not obliged to gift to all. It was an opportunity for bloggers to meet with brands and if they were lucky to be gifted.

I am a bit confused as to why as a VIB I was not given a priority gifting card at this event as usual, but I believe that bloggers who attended the meal were gifted them instead? I was however gifted at the event which I am grateful for.

If bloggers did not request a refund and decline the pizza I think they should put this one down to experience. I am told they were informed of the change prior to the pizza being ordered.

It wasn't an ideal part of the night, but if you went to a restaurant ordering a 3 course meal and they gave you a pizza would you eat it and then complain afterwards? That may sound harsh, but I think it's a valid point.

I for one have not been put off attending future Bloggers Love events and have just applied for the Bloggers Fashion Week being held over 2 days in March.

Let me know if you will be attending the Bloggers Love Bloggers Fashion Week in March. I hope to see you there.

Love to you all

PRIMARK HAUL - BEAUTY & ACCESSORIES

Hello beauties. This is my last post for today and yes it's a goodie. I popped into Primark on Friday to spend some of my birthday money. For once I didn't buy any clothes, but I picked up some fab beauty and accessories.

P.S. LOVE FASHION/FRENCH NAILS (L-R) NEON PINK, FRENCH & AZTEC

I used to really enjoy painting my nails, but I find that I seldom have the time to let them dry long enough and then sometimes they chip anyway due to house chores etc. I have heard a lot of good things about Primark false nails. I know a lot of people use the Elegant Touch nail glue with them so I bought that too. These were a great price of just £1 per pack.

SILVER CLEAN BAND RING

Saving the need to buy lots of singular silver band rings this gives an all in one ring stacked effect for just £1.

COLOUR GEM STACK RINGS

This pack of 6 rings was a total bargain at just £1. I will wear them in so many ways either stacked or singular.

P.S. LOVE THIS FACIAL CLEANSING PAD

I have picked this up to clean my make-up brushes as I am terrible at doing them regularly. There is a sucker at the bottom to keep it in place while washing them in the sink. This was £1.50.

FLORAL ALICEBAND

This was in the kids section, but I think it will fit okay. I am still a sucker for floral hair pieces. This was £2.50.

QUILTED TOTE

I have been on the hunt for a new handbag for so long as I didn't have one with a long handle. This is kind of a cement grey shade with two silver chain detailed straps. There is a zip along the top and an inner zip section as well as a mobile phone holder. This was £10.

DOUBLE ZIP CAMERA BAG

I usually like to have a staple black bag in my collection and although this bag may look small it's like a tardis. There are two zip sections at the top, one with an inner zip and a zip section to the front. As well as the carry handle at the top there is also a detachable and adjustable longer handle which I will probably leave on most of the time. As the name suggests this will fit my camera perfectly. Great for attending events :) This was £8.

I hope you found something you like in this haul so you can run out and find it. Let me know your Primark finds in the comments below.

BIRTHDAY GIFTS 2015

Hi beauties and Happy Friday! It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago so for those interested here are the lovely gifts I received. One was a bit late which is why my post is up now.

My very first gift arrived with the postman on my birthday from LOVE LOLA DESIGNS who I met at the BLOGGERS LOVE LFW GIFTING LOUNGE

I instantly fell in love with Louise's designs, especially the LOVELOLA LEATHER SHOULDER BAG WITH GOLD CHAIN that Louise was sporting herself at the event. Louise very kindly sent me this bag with my very own #SELFIE :) I absolutely love it. It's my new favourite bag.

There are so many personalised gift options at LOVE LOLA DESIGNS that its worth stopping by, especially with Valentine's Day coming up or just to treat yourself!

Two of my friends bought me these gift sets. The make-up is from Rose Couture which is an unknown brand to me, but I will still enjoy playing with these pieces. The Nivea gift set comes with a cool tablet case. It makes me really want to buy one now.

Everything here is from my Mum except the Hello Kitty items. I think I might try to find some cute pictures to put in this photo frame for my desk at work. I also got a penguin made of natural fibres. I found a link to the same one here.

I had some yummy chocolates that I made my boyfriend share with me. Feeling sluggish after the festive period I needed help, ha ha. I am yet to try, but very excited for these Tassimo Costa Latte's. My boyfriend is going to pay my car tax for the car he surprised me with at Xmas.

I also received some money from various people so if you want to see a haul of that when I eventually get to go shopping let me know.

NEXT CHRISTMAS WISH LIST

Hey there lovelies. I hope you are all well on this fine Saturday. A bit chilly I know, but at least the sun is out :)

I have been browsing through the NEXT website to create my 'Christmas Wish List' of essentials for the festive season.

This is great staple dress that is perfect for the party season. I love the structured sweetheart neckline and the skater skirting of the dress. It's sexy by showing off the collarbone and shoulders while hinting at some cleavage. Silver glam accessories would accentuate this perfect dress. Wearing a gem encrusted belt would change up the style entirely too.

This bag would work for every day. Adding a bag charm or scarf for a hint of colour or print makes it easy to pair with a variety of outfits.

I am forever a lover of jumper dresses. I think they are perfect for taking the fuss out of styling and keeping you warm throughout winter. I sometimes wear a bodycon dress underneath or a vest and leggings.

I think these cardigans are great for casual every day looks as well as a cover up on an evening out. Just add a broach or a detailed belt to transform into a more formal piece. I have shown the shades berry and grey here which I love, but I would also love this in black.

I think these metallic belts would be perfect for the cardigans above to add interest. As they are plaited they can be adjusted perfectly to fit well around your waist, just tucking the end through the belt so no awkward 'belt sticking out' moments.

When are black over the knee boots ever out of season in winter. A perfect pairing with the cardigans and jumper dress shown above.

So let me know which of these you would choose as part of your NEXT 'Christmas Wish List' in the comments below.

MISS REBEL MONOCHROME WISH LIST

Hey there sweethearts. Today I have some fabulous fashion to show you.

Miss Rebel have a great competition where bloggers that create a wish list of their favourite products are entered for the chance to win a £500 voucher to spend on the Miss Rebel website.

This bag would go with so many of my outfits due to it's cream shade. The tassle's and studs have a tribal/cowgirl feel which I love for summer.

This classic blouse would be perfect to pair with jeans, trousers and skirts. I would wear a bandeau underneath, but it would still maintain a sexy edge.

We have all seen the #SELFIE tops floating about, but I haven't picked one up as yet. I love the neckline and sleeve length of this tee. I would wear this tucked into a high waisted skirt or with denim dungaree shorts.

Now I contradict myself by picking this black slouch bag. It's a great size for work when I take my lunch and other essentials and for events so I can stash my camera away. I have also been into the quilted trend for quite some time.

A great throw on slouchy investment for those lazy days. Paired with over the knee socks, plims and a beanie this is so me.

Any time of year is monochrome love for me as you can see.

Let me know your Miss Rebel wish list favourites in the comments below along with how you would style them up.

Also if you do enter this fantastic Miss Rebel competition please leave links to your blog entries below so I can have a look :)

Entries close at 5pm on Monday 26th May!

FLORENCE & FRED CLOTHING @ TESCO HAUL

Hey there gorgeous readers. How has your weekend been so far? I spent some time with my Mum on Friday and had a pretty lazy Saturday including an afternoon nap which is so unlike me. Today I am back on form and ready to blog. Recently I won a competition on Twitter. Florence & Fred Clothing @ Tesco were promoting their A/W 14 FASHION SHOW giving tweeters the chance to win an online voucher of £50 to spend. So what did I buy?

I am desperately in need of a new bag as the inside zip of mine is broken and the outer material is starting to wear. I chose this as I love the triple compartment style of it. Great for me as I can never seem to reach for what I need instantly and end up emptying half the contents out of my bag to find what I want. This will I'm sure be a great organisational fashion item for me. It can be held in the crook of the arm, over my shoulder or across my body due to the detachable and adjustable strap. It's a medium sized bag with a lovely texture of leather-look diamond graining, piped trims and gold hardware features. One of the two shorter straps stays upright always. Two outer compartments are zipped while the centre compartment has a magnetic popper. The centre section can be made wider also as there are poppers at either end which can be opened to allow for more space. In the centre there is also a space for a mobile phone and an inner zipped compartment. Four studs on each corner are at the bottom to resist wear underneath. This is a great everyday bag that I know I will get my use out of.

Again I chose this because I knew I would get a lot of wear out of it. This simple black short sleeved piece with a boxy cut and slash neckline is a great length and has a lovely textured finish.

With £20 still left I decided to get some plain tees for my boyfriend. They were just £4.00 each. You can find them in this link!

The delivery was very speedy with about a 36 hour turnaround. I had my items delivered to a local click and collect store so there was no delivery charge too. Everything was packaged perfectly with the t-shirts on hangers as well.

Be sure to check out the F&F A/W 14 Fashion Show here! There are lots of inspiring outfits for both men and women. I personally love the underwear as outerwear worn with great tailored pieces.

Are you a fan of Florence & Fred @ Tesco? Do you shop there regularly for your fashion items? Let me know your favourites after browsing this link in the comments below.

Save The Children Ladies Night Eltham

Hi there cherubs. Today I really must tell you about this charity shop event I attended on Thursday 28th November. My Mum (Irene) has been working as a volunteer in this Save The Children shop for some years now with a great team of people.

The event was set up to allow ladies to view the stock out of the shops usual hours and find themselves a bargain or few.

So here are snaps of just some of the fabulous range that was in store that night .......

FASHION

Velvet, jewel toned and 90's bra shaping are all on trend right now and the style of this dress is perfect for the party season.

Shoe styles like these never seem to go out of fashion and fit with so many outfits.

The cocoon shaping of this dress has a very designer-esque feel.

This beautiful lace detail dress can be worn all year round due to it's monochrome design.

Gucci Inspired shoes & belt

Colourful Diamante

Balenciaga style bag

More 90's fashion. Perfect for sparkling at festive parties and events.

Great to keep out winter chills and look super stylish.

BEAUTY/GIFTS

HOMEWARE

Cute kitsch ceramics

Blue tones

So cute for some festive cheer.

LIFESTYLE

I do love a bit of Gok styling.

Tips from the model herself.

Guests sipped on beverages, munched on nibbles and some treated themselves to a painted manicure too.

It was a very enjoyable night that embodied the community spirit of Eltham. There will hopefully be even more events in the New Year too. I am so proud of Mum and the team she works with. They have a really well laid out shop with fantastic stock and warm hearts to greet you.

Why not pop in to have a browse and say hello to my Mum (Irene) and her fellow colleagues. I am sure they would be glad to see you :) Let them know you heard about the shop from my blog.

Opening Times:

Monday & Sunday: 10am - 3pm

Tuesday to Saturday: 10am - 4pm

Address:

Unit 3, 14 Passey Pl, London SE9 5DQ (just off the high street near Argos)
