Favourites: 2013 Skincare & Nail Product

Hi there sweeties and happy Thursday! Today I have the last of my 2013 favourites posts for you. Here are my favourite 2013 skincare products with a nail product included.

I don't have all of the products at the moment so this photo only includes the ones I do. I will however include links to posts where I have previously reviewed and shown the products.

Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips

I usually prefer twist up tube lip balms as they are easy to use on the go and less messy. This product however was my top 2013 lip saviour. My lips are prone to drying, cracking, peeling, splitting etc. To see my full review check out this link.

RANA Argan Oil

I love using facial oils at night. They really feel like they moisturise and pamper my skin more deeply than most creams, but are too slippery for the day when I apply my make-up. My full review is in this link.

DHC Bio Cellulose Mask

This was the weirdest and funniest mask I have ever used. You can see why in my review here. A great treatment for renewed facial skincare at home.

Poundland Pure Exfoliating Complete Cleansing Wipes

These are so worth the price. Poundland always have these at two packs of 20 wipes for just £1.00. See my full review here.

balance Me. Super Moisturising Hand Cream

A deeply moisturising hand cream with such a therapeutic scent. My full review is in this link.

Crystal Clear Skincare Stay Young Intense Anti-Ageing Serum Moisturiser & Lift Away The Years Wand

This moisturiser combined with the Lift Away The Years magical wand are amazing. If you want more toned, defined and slimmer facial features that lessen the need for make-up contouring check out these products. Available now at Your Beauty M&S. For my Crystal Clear Skincare full reviews check out this post!

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

These two when used together sent me to cleansed heaven. My skin felt so clean as all of the dirt and make-up residue had been completely removed without being harsh on my skin. To see my review of both products check out this link!

99p Store Cussons Shower Creams & Shower Gels

First of all total bargains at 99p for these 500ml bottles. The scents are great, especially the wild fruit burst. I am using that one currently. Check out my review on those here!

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry For Nails

A quick drying spray that you simply mist over your painted nails when you can't be bothered with a top coat or are just in a rush. Perfect when you have applied nail art that you don't want to smudge with a top coat too. See my review here!

In the shower I tend to use exfoliating gloves on my body which I generally pick up in pound shops unless I receive body exfoliating products for Xmas, birthdays or in my GlossyBox.

I have been trying to make myself moisturise my body every day and I haven't done too bad with that. I usually use a spray oil if I really can't be bothered when I am at home as I think they tend to sometimes take longer to sink into the skin and may stain clothes if I am in a rush to get dressed and go out. I have used many body creams and lotions throughout the year though which you can find reviews of on my blog in the tags section.

I hope that this post and all of my other 2013 favourites posts have helped you discover some products that you might enjoy. If you do try them please let me know how they work for you.

Love to you all

Rana Argan Oil Review

Hiya my loves. Sorry I haven't blogged until now this week, but I hope you are all doing well. I have done a little shopping so expect a Primark haul to come. I also saw my Mum on Friday which was great and spent time with my fella today. What have you all been up to this weekend?

Now on to today's review post :)

I was gifted with this product at the Bloggers Love London Fashion Week event. I was excited to try this product out so I will start with some information about it:

RANA Argan Oil is 100% pure, natural and organic. Free from additives or any other chemicals other than argan oil straight from the argan fruit making it suitable for sensitive skin. Nicknamed the 'miracle oil' due to it's mass benefits. Here are some examples of the benefits of using RANA Argan Oil:

Makes skin feel smooth, plump and healthy looking.

Gives hair a healthy looking shine, whilst at the same time repairing damaged, dry hair back to its full goodness.

Helps nails become stronger and shinier.

Relieves the appearance of acne.

Helps to reduce the signs of stretch marks and scars.

Reduces the signs of ageing.

Can be used on men for pre and post shaving.

Can also be used on baby's and children to soften skin and help prevent or alleviate the signs of rashes.

Great to use on all different types of skin conditions and issues.

Be advised that this product is made from argan nuts so if you are allergic to nuts then it is advised to not use this product!

My thoughts:
Face & Neck:
I absolutely love to use this product on my face and neck at night and when I am at home during the day not wearing make-up. Because it is an oil I would not use this product before applying make-up. This feels so nourishing on my face and neck. After cleansing my skin I use about four pumps to cover my face and neck. I massage it in in circular motions, really working it into my skin. I have very dry skin and I think it really works well at keeping it moisturised, plumped, smoothed and pampered. It does feel like a treatment when I apply this at night. I don't really have lines or wrinkles that are that noticeable yet and I don't suffer too much with spots, but overall the skin on my face looks more even and youthful.
When my Mum saw me on Friday she asked me what I had been doing to my skin because I looked so young. I wasn't wearing any make-up at the time so this was a lovely compliment. I also got asked for ID in Morrisons the other day which made me so happy. Now I am not saying that it is all down to this product, but I do think my skin is looking and feeling better and more even because of it.
Hands & Nails:
I have tried this as a quick spritz on my hands and it does soak in really well. My nails are usually painted and pretty strong already so I haven't really noticed a difference in them as yet.
Hair:
I sprayed some on the ends of my hair to treat it one night. Because it's an oil it did make the ends look like there was product there so I would say it may work during the day for those with curls or afro hair, but to me it's more of a night time treatment to wash off the next day.
Body:
On my body it felt nourishing too, but there was a layer on my skin that didn't soak in as well as some creams I have used. It didn't feel greasy like other body oils I have tried, but as I could feel it on my skin I wouldn't use this during the day on my body if I were to wear fitted trousers for example. I did this with another product before and spent the day at work with oil patches on my knees. I would say for those who like fake tan this is most likely a no no. As the skin on my face looks more even though I think it could work well for stretch marks.
I would totally recommend this product for reducing the signs of ageing, nourishing the skin and making it look more even. A great multitasker, but even if it only works for one skin issue I still think it's worth it.
There are are range of other products also available at RANA which you can check out in this link!
What benefits have you found for your skin using RANA Argan Oil? Have you tried any other products from the RANA range? Let me know with your thoughts in the comments below.

London Fashion Week Event With Designer Sofia Dourvari & Other Brands

Hi there gorgeous people. I have a feeling that this weekend is going to end all too quickly like last weekend did. Weekends should soooo be longer. Anyway enough of my rant and on to the good stuff.

I attended the Bloggers Love London Fashion Week event party on Tuesday evening. It was a very exciting event with a catwalk show from LFW designer Sofia Dourvari and many fashion items from various brands. The event was hosted by Prince’s Trust Ambassador, celebrity stylist and make up artist Lewis-Duncan Weedon who is also the face of several brands including Pavoni Bags. Lewis-Duncan Weedon has also been a two time recipient of 'Best Dressed' award. There were drinks and candy floss for guests to enjoy too. I will take you around the fashion brands that I spoke to first.

The first brand I visited before the show is Ollie May. This is one of their very gorgeous dresses. Unfortunately most of the pieces had actually gone by the time I arrived which was actually early.

I was asked if I would like to take a piece from the Ollie May rail. I chose this Claire Sequin Blouse which is £26.00 on the Ollie May website. This is a size 10 (M). It's a little big on me, but I am think of styling it with a high waisted skirt. I love the collar as it makes this feminine peach blouse pop.

Great space age inspired items from 15thlane.com

Just how adorable are these Cruciani friendship style bracelets from brunioltremare.com. So cute and pretty. £10 each.

Gorgeous girls wearing these fab colourful tube skirts from sexkittencouture.com

I love the look styled with the t-shirt tucked in. Relaxed yet still sexy. These striped designs are 59 Euros each.

beckysboutiques.com featured a range of bandage style dresses. This embellished design stood out for me.

There was so much of a buzz around this fashion line that I could not snap the whole rail. The brand is chateauboutique.co.uk. Chateau Boutique offer custom designs as well as a ready to wear range. Make sure to check out the link for the chance to win a £500 voucher to spend online!

I was asked if I would like to take a piece and so I chose this chiffon yellow and orange cheetah print dress. This photo really does not show just how neon it is, but I can tell you it's bold and beautiful. I wasn't sure about the size so I was offered to take another one too. This one is shown from the front in a size S/M.

This is the same dress from the back in blue and pink, but in a size M/L. The S/M is a better fit on me, but I will make them both work. I am looking forward to styling these up too.

These beautiful girls introduced me to the handcrafted designer jewellery brand Innaya Couture. My preferred pieces were the blue stoned bangle which came in a variety of shades and the head piece worn in the photo above. I love the asian inspiration behind this collection of jewels.

I also received the Rana Argan Oil ~ £9.00 or £23.00 depending on size. This spray can be used on hair, skin and nails.

I liked the kimono prints at dressedbylauren.bigcartel.com.

Crystal Amaze were also there on the evening. I have featured them previously on my blog which you can view here.

I sadly missed speaking with loveumbrellas.co.uk. They have some beautiful designs that make the rain a bit more bearable.

And now on to some of the pieces in the catwalk show from designer Sofia Dourvari ........

Sofia Dourvari is the creator of this luxury ladies wear brand. Many of the designs hark back to the designer’s Greek roots with inspiration taken from Greek architecture, flowing lines inspired by the all natural elements. Sofia officially launched the high-end, luxury range of women’s clothing in 2011. During her studies Sofia won the Best Designer Award in the International Student Festival (2007).

“Fashion and design have always been my passions and my philosophy is to create elegant feminine designs that are creative, unusual and suitable for a wide range of occasions, from parties, galas and events, to weddings and formal dinners and even for the office. I like to create timeless designs suitable for ladies of any age, in both classic, practical shapes, in either pencil or skater-style, as well as dramatic floor-length gowns.”

I am so glad that I got to see some fabulous pieces from a great variety of brands as well as the wonderful creations from designer Sofia Dourvari.

Let me know your favourite pieces in the comments below.

Love to you all
