DERMALOGICA CHARCOAL RESCUE MASQUE

Hello peeps. Charcoal face masques have been very popular recently so when offered the opportunity to review one for you gorgeous people I jumped at the chance.

Said to instantly detoxify and brighten all skin conditions this masque contains charcoal, volcanic ash, sea silt, bamboo and sulphur to give skin a healthy, vibrant and balanced glow. The idea is to draw out impurities, refine pores, calm redness, improve skin texture and smoothness while addressing skin ageing, dullness, breakouts and sensitivity.

Application is simple enough. After cleansing I applied this generously to my face and neck while avoiding the eye area. You can leave it on for between 7-10 mins. I left it on for 10. It goes a little stiff, but nothing drastic. My chin and other areas of my face started to feel a bit prickly and uncomfortable, but I persevered and waited until the time was up. Then I lightly massaged with very wet hands to enhance exfoliation. I couldn't quite remove all of the product easily with just my hands as my skin still felt a bit gritty so I did what I usually do and used a face cloth with water to speed up the process. I then rinsed went over my skin with a face wipe to ensure all the product was gone and applied moisturiser.

So am I now a charcoal face masque convert?

I am sad to say with this particular product I am not swayed. I love Dermalogica as a skincare brand, but this product was definitely not for me. It just did not feel comfortable sitting on my skin. It was like little pin pricks probably where I had impurities being drawn out. I didn't have a drastic reaction to the product or anything, but my skin felt like it did not appreciate the masque at all. It was like my skin had been zapped of moisture and although I am sure impurities may have been drawn out I did not see any obvious improvement in my skin.

Because of my experience using this product I can not recommend it unfortunately. I think sensitive and fragile skin types should be especially careful if considering using this masque.

Please leave details of your charcoal face masque experiences below along with recommendations.

AEOS OPTIMAL ESSENTIALS PINK KIT

Hey beauties. I have recently been lucky enough to try out a whole kit of products that were kindly sent to me to sample and review.

AEOS product ingredients are grown on a farm in Lincolnshire. They have an institute where they train therapists about organic health and beauty using their products. The AEOS range is 100% organic, 100% biodynamic and 100% vegan. AEOS products include alchemical techniques along with cutting edge skincare formulas.

AEOS nurtures the earth's natural elements creating products to bring your body and therefore your mind into harmony. They work on a 3 phase system which goes as follows:

PHASE 1: RENEWAL - Cleansing products which leave skin feeling soft and receptive to the following phases.

PHASE 2: REBALANCE - Using products to add moisture and hydration back into the skin and preparing for the final phase.

PHASE 3: REPLENISH - Adding even more hydration while supporting skin regeneration to minimise the signs of aging.

AEOS products are designed to be used together and not with other synthetic ingredient brands so that maximum results can be achieved.

AEOS products work with colour significance to guide you in choosing the right products for you. I was sent the pink Optimal Essentials KitAEOS pink products are enhanced with the crystal essences of fire opal, rose quartz and rubelite. Pink is the colour of kindness, caring, warmth and love. We all need to take time to care for ourselves which is easy to forget to do. This pink kit which is said to be great for dry skin like mine seemed perfect, but did I feel the love?

Here has been my skincare routine using the pink kit:

MORNING

1. Applying the Gentle Cleansing Lotion to a damp face and neck in circular motions and rinsing off with warm water to remove impurities.

2. Twice a week in circular motions to a damp face and neck I applied the Gentle Exfoliant and rinsed off with warm water for soft smooth skin. This product can be used as needed for your skin type, but twice a week was perfect for me.

3. I patted 2 pumps of the Energising Conditioner onto my wet face and neck to soothe, calm and soften skin.

4. Then I spritzed a few sprays of the Refreshing Hydrating Mist over my face and neck. This product can be used throughout the day to refresh skin and can also be used over make-up.

5. I rubbed a small amount of the Realive Serum in my hands then patted it over my face and neck to nourish, moisturise and hydrate the skin for a radiant complexion.

6. Lastly I patted the Enriching Moisturiser onto my face and neck straight after the serum to protect and hydrate.

Now this may see like a long process, but once I got into the swing of things it took no time at all. I did not find the Gentle Exfoliant left me with irritated skin or anything for those worried about using it in the morning, but it can be used in the evening if you prefer. If hypersensitive do not exfoliate.

EVENING

1. I moistened cotton pads with warm water, adding a few drops of the Cleansing Oil De-Maq and sweeping over the face and neck. I used separate pads for each eye. This removed all impurities and make-up effectively.

2. Adding a few drops of the Dew Facial Wash to a bowl or the sink I soaked a face cloth and wrung out the excess. I then applied it as a compress over my face, repeating 3 times to condition and hydrate.

I then applied these products in the same way as above in this order:

3.Energising Conditioner.

4. Refreshing Hydrating Mist.

5. Realive Serum.

6. Enriching Moisturiser.

I really enjoyed the ritual of applying all products, especially in the evenings as it really felt like I was 'taking the day off' my skin and starting to unwind. The Cleansing Oil De-Maq when applied with warm wet cotton pads is just heaven. Especially when followed up with the compress of the Dew Facial Wash.

As you may notice the kit also comes with the Beauty Body Shower. This shower gel was lovely. It had a real zingy awakening feel that made me feel brighter.

There is also a Beauty Body Lotion that I have to admit I am not a fan of due to the scent. I did try it out, but it's just not for me.

I was also sent the Unfragranced Skin Replenisher Rich+ Cream separately which again I am sad to say was not for me because of the scent.

This was a whole new way of looking at skincare for me. This kit encouraged me to take the time to enjoy the experience of the scents and the application of each product. It felt like I was taking care of me in a simple yet very pampering way. I know that you may think you just don't have time for all these products, but if you have time to sit and watch TV for 10mins then what's the difference?

These are a lovely kit of products that did bring me an inner peace at the end of the day. So if you would like to try this at home spa experience for yourself perhaps throw a few hints this Valentine's Day or even just treat yourself. You just have to know you are worth caring for.

Check out the kits here!

DHC FACE WASH POWDER

Hey gorgeous people. I have been asked to try out and review for you a product from one of my favourite skincare brands DHC.

Although I have never tried this product before I wanted to let you know that it has been repackaged and reformulated. This is an extremely mild cleansing exfoliator that feels so gentle on the skin. It's very creamy and lathers well. Simply flip open the lid, shake the powder into the palm of your hand and mix with a little water. It deeply cleanses the skin without stripping the skins natural pH. The formula dissolves surface dead skin cells while softening and moisturising the skin. Suitable for all skin types.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using this product. While in the shower I massage it in daily. I do not remove my make-up beforehand so I do end up looking like the crow. Then I wipe away the eye make-up from under my eyes. Usually the next morning I end up resembling a panda where other products have failed to remove all traces of make-up, but this product removes it all 100%.

For sensitive skin types I would suggest giving this a try as it's so mild, although it does contain alcohol.

Let me know your faves from the DHC line in the comments below.

SKINCARE: 4 FACE PRODUCT REVIEWS

Hey lovelies and Happy Easter weekend to you all. I hope you are all enjoying the long weekend and of course nibbling on some chocolate :)

Today I have four face products to review for you so I will get straight into it.

I received these pads for Xmas and I have to say they were very handy because of their size and shape. They are perfect for removing eye make-up. I have linked above to slightly different ones from Wilko as I can't find these, but I am sure they are pretty much the same.

These face cloths were lovely to use. They have a textured type of cloth for a very gentle exfoliation making removing dirt and make-up a little easier. They smell amazing. I think it must be the peach and goji berry extracts. These came in the bumper gift box that I received for Xmas.

I was given a couple of samples of this at The Anti-Ageing Health & Beauty Show and let me tell you a little of this product goes a long way. You only need a pea sized amount each time. This exfoliating face gel is so easy and satisfying to use. Simply massage into a dry face and neck with fingers for about 1 minute and rinse off with water. As you exfoliate you will see the dead skin rolling up into little beads. I tend to soak a flannel in warm water and wipe it over my skin to remove any residue. Your skin does not feel sore afterwards as it's so mild. It is also meant to be great for blackhead sufferers and those prone to blemishes. I used this twice a week. Each time my skin felt clean, fresh, more radiant and so soft. I think this is a prefect product for sensitive skin.

I received this product as a pr sample for a previous blog post shown here. This is a lovely lightweight moisturiser that smooths into the skin easily giving a really soft and supple texture to the skin. It is meant to be for combination skin. Mine is pretty much just dry, but it worked perfectly for me.

So that's my face product reviews. I hope you found something here useful. Let me know your current favourite face products in the comments below.

GLOSSYBOX: STEP INTO SPRING

Hiya beauties. I have another post for you sharing my first impressions of the 'Step Into Spring' GlossyBox.

This is an organic peeling milk from Spanish eco-brand Naobay that removes dead skin cells and brightens the complexion.

Massage gently with only a little pressure over damp skin.

When I first heard the word peeling I thought this seemed a little scary, but by the sounds of it it's like an exfoliating moisturiser hybrid. I love the earthy packaging.

With a cobra head-shaped wand to create length and dramatic volume for inky black eyes.

Zig zag the mascara from base to tip when applying.

I do love a mascara that can tick all the boxes. I love length, curl, volume and a jet black pigment. The packaging is adorable. This is my first Essence product so I am excited to try it out.

This hydrating duo repairs brittle tresses while replenishing lost nutrients. Hair is left stronger, sleeker and looking twice as thick.

Massage the shampoo into wet hair and rinse. Squeeze out excess water and apply the conditioner. Leave on for 2-3 mins before rinsing.

I have previously used other Dove haircare products and loved them so I am sure these will be a treat.

Free of toxins is this quick drying neon pastel nail lacquer in a light mint cream shade.

After applying a base coat apply two coats of this nail lacquer. Run hands under cold water to dry your manicure.

This is an okay shade, but it doesn't excite me too much. I like the packaging, but the sticker on the bottom has been placed on a bit haphazardly. I do like that it's cruelty free, but I can see more exciting nail lacquers in their range.

A moisturising sheer tint lip balm with superfood ingredients for a lip enhancing effect.

I am still unsure if I like the scent/taste as it has the classic Carmex scent with added sweetness. The product does feel very moisturising on the lips from trying it out today and the colour is actually a really nice glossy berry shade that is somewhere between a tint and a lipstick in pigmentation. It really is lip enhancing making your pout look plumped and kissable.

I am really pleased with this GlossyBox. My only negative is the chosen nail shade.

BURT'S BEES DEEP PORE SCRUB & IMPULSE BODY FRAGRANCE

Hi sweeties. I have two product reviews rolled into one post here so I hope you enjoy :)

My Mum gave me this sample and I finally got around to using it. The aim of this product is to exfoliate, polish and smooth out the complexion, while also removing dirt and oil for a clean feeling.

In the shower I massaged this into my wet face twice a week. Now I have to say that had this not been given to me I wouldn't have picked it up. I am not a fan of the Burt's Bees products I have tried so far because of the scent. This product was no exception, but I will say it did work. The scent I only noticed on application so I persevered and I was pleasantly surprised. My skin felt so clean and renewed. Definitely smooth and polished. This is currently at a reduced price on the Feelunique website linked above.

I think I picked this up in the 99p Store. I am such a fan of Impulse body fragrances as they are compact, but last for ages. There is such a wide selection of scents for every mood. The click and twist lid is perfect for travel and they are so affordable. This scent is amazing and I would certainly buy it again. It's fruity, soft, floral and woody all at the same time. A perfectly uplifting and calming scent that makes me feel balanced, clean and fresh. This is currently 98p from Superdrug linked above.

I would love to know your favourite face scrubs and body fragrances in the comments below with reasons why.

Melvita Nectar Bright Brightening Exfoliation Masque

Hi lovelies. Have you been having a great weekend? I caught up with my Mum on Friday and have been at home for the rest of the weekend. It seems like I only left work a few hours ago. Oh well lets enjoy today before most of us have to go back to the grind tomorrow.

Today's post is focused on this fabulous 2 in 1 masque and exfoliation product to help you relax and unwind. This is the Melvita Nectar Bright Brightening Exfoliation Masque.

Application:

So how does it work? You apply this product to dry, clean skin 2-3 times per week. I use it twice a week as I find that's enough for me. After showering using my face wash I cleanse my skin. I then apply a generous layer of this product to my face and neck, avoiding the eye area. You can leave it on for 5-10 mins. I always leave it for 10mins to get the maximum benefit. It feels like impurities are being drawn from my pores very delicately as the product kind of feels like it is sweating. That sounds really gross I know, but I don't mean that it heats up like some masques do. It's like a cold sweat that is very subtle. Once the 10mins is up I massage the microbeads into my skin and rinse off with water and a flannel.

Results:

My skin feels plumped and refreshed after use with a brighter more even tone. I love that it is a 2 in 1 product that only takes 10mins to work at most. The scent is very natural and almost oaty. I have really enjoyed using this product and will continue to do so.

The best price I found for this product is £27.00 for 75ml from feelunique.com

Thanks to Neville McCarthy for sending this to me for free to test and review.

Is this 2 in 1 product from Melvita something that appeals to you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Favourites: 2013 Skincare & Nail Product

Hi there sweeties and happy Thursday! Today I have the last of my 2013 favourites posts for you. Here are my favourite 2013 skincare products with a nail product included.

I don't have all of the products at the moment so this photo only includes the ones I do. I will however include links to posts where I have previously reviewed and shown the products.

Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips

I usually prefer twist up tube lip balms as they are easy to use on the go and less messy. This product however was my top 2013 lip saviour. My lips are prone to drying, cracking, peeling, splitting etc. To see my full review check out this link.

RANA Argan Oil

I love using facial oils at night. They really feel like they moisturise and pamper my skin more deeply than most creams, but are too slippery for the day when I apply my make-up. My full review is in this link.

DHC Bio Cellulose Mask

This was the weirdest and funniest mask I have ever used. You can see why in my review here. A great treatment for renewed facial skincare at home.

Poundland Pure Exfoliating Complete Cleansing Wipes

These are so worth the price. Poundland always have these at two packs of 20 wipes for just £1.00. See my full review here.

balance Me. Super Moisturising Hand Cream

A deeply moisturising hand cream with such a therapeutic scent. My full review is in this link.

Crystal Clear Skincare Stay Young Intense Anti-Ageing Serum Moisturiser & Lift Away The Years Wand

This moisturiser combined with the Lift Away The Years magical wand are amazing. If you want more toned, defined and slimmer facial features that lessen the need for make-up contouring check out these products. Available now at Your Beauty M&S. For my Crystal Clear Skincare full reviews check out this post!

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

These two when used together sent me to cleansed heaven. My skin felt so clean as all of the dirt and make-up residue had been completely removed without being harsh on my skin. To see my review of both products check out this link!

99p Store Cussons Shower Creams & Shower Gels

First of all total bargains at 99p for these 500ml bottles. The scents are great, especially the wild fruit burst. I am using that one currently. Check out my review on those here!

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry For Nails

A quick drying spray that you simply mist over your painted nails when you can't be bothered with a top coat or are just in a rush. Perfect when you have applied nail art that you don't want to smudge with a top coat too. See my review here!

In the shower I tend to use exfoliating gloves on my body which I generally pick up in pound shops unless I receive body exfoliating products for Xmas, birthdays or in my GlossyBox.

I have been trying to make myself moisturise my body every day and I haven't done too bad with that. I usually use a spray oil if I really can't be bothered when I am at home as I think they tend to sometimes take longer to sink into the skin and may stain clothes if I am in a rush to get dressed and go out. I have used many body creams and lotions throughout the year though which you can find reviews of on my blog in the tags section.

I hope that this post and all of my other 2013 favourites posts have helped you discover some products that you might enjoy. If you do try them please let me know how they work for you.

High Flyers GlossyBox

Hi there loves. Today I have my latest GlossyBox products to show you. This box is named High Flyers as it includes items for us girls during our summer travels.

Urban Veda Purifying Exfoliating Facial Polish, £8.99 for 125ml

To be used for a deep cleanse, removing impurities, treating blackheads, reducing excess sebum, tightening pores and leaving skin hydrated.

Apply to a wet face, massage using gentle circular movements, and rinse with cold water to tighten pores and help mattify excessive shine.

This is for oil-prone skin and mine is dry, but I will still try this out. The granules in this scrub feel very fine on my hand. The scent is almost medicated, but in a purifying way. The packaging is green on the website so I guess the design has changed?

Emite Make Up Eyelash Curler, Approx £20.00

Developed with professional make-up artists this tool has a special curved design to suit all eye shapes, without touching your make-up base.

Insert lashes close to the lash line and press to curl. Use before mascara,

This feels very well made and it's great that it comes with three replacement pads.

Jelly Pong Pong 2-In-1 Black Shadow/Liner, £10.50

Doubles as an eyeliner for thick, precise lines as well as a perfectly blended eye shadow. This also comes in shades of plum, bronze and steel.

This is a very deeply pigmented black eye crayon. I think this will be great for smudgy liner looks and hopefully as a great shadow/base too.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Concentrated Rinse Off Treatment, £1.49 for 15ml from Superdrug, Boots, Tesco & Waitrose.

Apply once a week to damaged parts of shampooed and rinsed hair, avoiding roots. Leave for 60 seconds and rinse well.

I like that this is a quick treatment as not everyone has time for products to work.

Oceane Makeup Remover Pen, Not yet available in the UK

A make-up touch up/remover solution.

Shake before removing lid. Replace tip if needed.

I tried this out on the Jelly Pong Pong swatch above and it did take a bit of work, but it pretty much removed it all. I think this sounds like a good idea in theory, but I am just not sure if you will end up making a make-up mistake look worse by removing or smudging other parts of your make-up like foundation. I think it would have been handy if the extra tips came in some sort of separate packaging so that when you open this product they have somewhere to be stored. Especially if this is meant for on the go use.

I think this is a great box this month. I am a little disappointed that I have another product for oily skin instead of dry though.

For more information on GlossyBox UK click here. The US box can be found here.

Which products did you receive in this month's GlossyBox? Are you pleased with them? Let me know with your reasons in the comments below.

Exfoliating Face Wipes

Hey guys.  How has your day been? In this post I have two exfoliating face wipe brands to talk about so here I go.

Top: Primark Beauty Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Wipes, £1.00 for 25 wipes

For £1.00 I could not pass picking these up on my last Primark shopping trip. I really like the fresh scent of these cucumber extract wipes. The small beads within the wipe were not too harsh, but I was careful to use them around my eyes as I felt they may be just a little too abrasive around that delicate area of skin. I would pick these up again.

Bottom: Poundland Pure Exfoliating Complete Cleansing Wipes, 20 wipes per pack, 2 packs for £1.00

I had not realised until I got to the till that these were 2 packs (40 wipes) for £1.00. These are the textured exfoliating facial wipes without the micro beads. I prefer this style of wipe a little more to the one above as I am not so worried about using them around my eye area. These do have a floral scent to them which is something I am not usually a fan of with skincare, but I don't mind it with these. For some reason I actually find it comforting. These are paraben free. I would definitely pick these up again too.

So that's it for this post. Are you a fan of facial exfoliating wipes? Let me know with your reasons and any favourite ones you think I would like in the comments below.

Primark Haul: London

Hey there my loves. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I bought some things in Primark a few weeks ago when I was in London and I haven't yet shown them to you so I thought I would :)

Disco Leggings in Left: Cobalt & Right: Grey ~ £7.00 Each

Now I do love me a disco legging/pant and I probably shouldn't buy anymore, but I can honestly say I love these and I know I will get my wear out of them. I already purchased the black pair here which I wore on a night out a few weeks ago. I really like how they feel on and actually don't mind my legs in them. They don't super suck me in like I imagine the American Apparel ones do, but for £7.00 I really can't fault them. I would like to pick up more of the black if I visit Primark again before they sell out.

Left: Black & Cobalt Baroque Leggings ~ £6.00

Now these I adore. I absolutely love the baroque style of them and the cobalt colour makes them such a statement. These would take a simple top and footwear to a higher place. I find that baroque styles are usually shown in a metallic form on dresses or trousers which is why I think I have never taken to this trend, but these leggings have converted me. I would love it if Primark brought out more colours of these. I can see red, yellow, pink, green and white. I would buy them all.

Right: Black Jewelled Leggings ~ £7.00

I actually bought these in my last Primark haul, but I had to take them back to exchange them as the top of the rubbish Primark bags that garments are put in have a serrated edge which obviously slit across one of the thighs as the assistant put it in. I know these were just £7.00, but I hadn't even worn them so I went back to change them over and here they are. I think they are really fun and will look good with black ankle boots.

Left: Primark Beauty Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Wipes With Cucumber Extract ~ £1.00 for 25 Wipes

I thought these would be worth giving a try as they are so cheap. They smell really fresh as you would expect from the cucumber. I do like to use exfoliating cleansing wipes at the start of my skincare regime to remove make-up and dirt from my face and neck.

Right: Primark Beauty Felt Eye Liner Pen Black ~ £1.50

I used this once the other day and I do love the pigment of it. It starts off as a lighter black, but the more you go over the line the black becomes deeper in shade. This is a very pointed pen liner that bends just a little at the tip. You can either use the tip for a very fine line or draw using more of the tips side for a thicker line. It did not glide onto my eyes when drawing a flick as easily as it did when I swatched it on my hand, but I want to try it again. Great value for the price though.

Opia Gem Cross Hand Jewellery ~ £1.00 (Reduced From £1.50)

I have always fancied picking up one of these hand/wrist jewels. I have no idea what they are called so please excuse me. I like this one as it looks like I will still be able to move and bend my hand comfortably without this annoying me which when I have looked at other ones before they look more rigid. For £1.00 if I don't like it much I won't cry.

So that's it lovelies. I hope you enjoyed this haul. Have you picked up any fantastic buys from Primark or anywhere else you think I might like? Let me know in the comments below.

Scrub, Conceal & Spray

Hello loves. Are you having a fine and dandy Wednesday? Today I have 3 product reviews for you so here I go :) .............

Left: Natural Collection Cover-up Cream (Fair), £1.99 for 8ml

To cover spots, blemishes and under eye shadows. Easily blendible.

I bought this concealer quite some time ago when I couldn't find my usual concealer the Collection 2000/Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate 16 Hour Wear Concealer (Light 2) which has proven to be very popular and rightly so as it works very well. However after trying this Natural Collection concealer out I have to say that on me this works just as well as the Collection 2000/Collection concealer. This concealer comes in two shades of Fair and Medium and Fair is fine for my complexion. I do think it would be good if there were more shades, especially for darker skin tones as two is not very many and will not suit everyone. This has a creamy, but not slippery formula that is buildable and covers well, but does not cover my red veins so good. It has a simple twist up tube that unscrews and the wand has a doe foot applicator. The writing does wear off just like the Collection 2000/Collection concealer as you can see. I will repurchase this for sure.

Centre: St Ives Elements Olive Scrub, Currently £2.48 for 150ml at Superdrug

Gently exfoliates away dead, dull skin. Mild enough for frequent use, your skin is left re-energised, feeling moisturised and smooth with a healthy glow. Natural Ingredients of Olive oil which helps nourish, without greasiness and Olive oil leaf extract, a natural anti-oxidant.

Apply to damp skin in gentle circular movements, avoiding the eyes. Rinse off with water.

I was sent this ages ago with a magazine subscription. This has fine granules within the scrub that feel comfortable on the skin. The shade is a fab green that is different from most scrubs. I found the granules in this product good for both face and body so it saved me taking two products in the shower. I used this twice a week on both face and body and it worked well. I like the scent of this it's very natural.

Right: Primark Breath Spray Peppermint Coolness

Sugar Free. Spray as frequently as needed into mouth.

I purchased this product in November as part of this haul. It was about £1-£2. I love the bottle as it's leopard loving fun. This worked well and I would pick this up again.

So that's it for this review post. Have you discovered any cheap, but well worth the money concealers? What are your Natural Collection favourite products? Do you know of any face scrubs that also work well for the body? Do you know where to find cute breath sprays like this one or any other handy handbag products? Let me know in the comments below.

Tropic Face Smooth Brightening Polish

Hi there my little Easter bunnies. How has your Saturday been so far? I have had such a bad head since last night that it's making me feel sickly so I thought what better way to distract myself than blogging :)

Today I have a skincare product to review for you. This product was sent to me for free to try out and let you know my thoughts.

This is the Tropic Face Smooth Brightening Polish. This is Tropic's best selling face product with 100% natural ingredients which include:

Acai Berry ~  The strongest known antioxidant containing vitamins, omegas and minerals to visibly boost skin vitality.

Organic Rice Flower ~ Helps in reducing skin redness and pore size as well as treating blemishes, wrinkles and pigmentation.

Sugar Cane ~ Contains natural alpha hydroxy acids that gently exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin promoting a brighter complexion.

Sweet Almond ~ Contains powerful monounsaturated acids that promote skin elasticity. Softens and soothes the skin without clogging pores.

Vitamin E ~ A powerful antioxidant essential in maintaining youthful, nourished & healthy skin.

Camomile ~ Effective on sensitive skins as it contains skin healing & anti-inflammatory properties as well as reducing skin puffiness.

Golden Jojoba ~ A soft, liquid wax that cleans clogged pores & restores the skin's natural pH balance.

Sweet Orange ~ Sweet, fresh and tangy. Also an antiseptic.

Lemon ~ Refreshing, bright and uplifting.

Application:

Scoop out the product with a spatula and use wet hands to gently massage onto dry skin in circular and upward motions for 1 minute, focusing on areas around the nose, chin and forehead. Avoid the eye area. Rinse off with warm water and splash your face with cold water to close pores. Pat dry and follow with Tropic Skin Revive if needed. Use 2-3 times a week. Sensitive skins should wet the face first before application and work the product in as above.

The lid for this pot unscrews easily, but the seal on the actual pot itself is quite tough to break through. I managed to pierce my nail through it which went into the product so an easy peel tab may be a good idea on this as some people may have difficulty. I would also suggest opening it on a flat surface.

I didn't bother using a spatula to scoop this out of it's container as quite simply I didn't have one. Instead I  scooped it out with my hands. It did leave a mess down the side of my bath due to it's runny mixture, but it's easily washed away. It might be nice to have a spatula provided with the product as it is suggested for use. Even a squeezy tube I think would be better.

I wanted to try this without wetting my face for the first use so I began massaging it in as directed, but found it a bit uncomfortable so thought I might be better wetting my face on my next use. The granules in it are not large, but there are lots of them to provide that exfoliation and polish.

Wetting my face first worked much better for me and I really enjoyed the product much more. The scent is so fresh and uplifting. I have the product sitting next to me now while I blog away. I really like the combination of the orange and lemon. It reminds me that summer is coming.

When I massaged this in it felt like it was removing all the dirt and uneven texture on my face and neck. When washing the product off I felt like I had a new layer of skin, no kidding. It leaves a kind of smooth veil that is not greasy, but more like a balm.

Because my skin is obviously on the more sensitive side when it comes to using this product I will only use this twice a week.

I can seriously see why this is a best seller for Tropic and at the moment this is reduced in price from £15.00 down to £12.00 for 100ml, Link. A little goes a long way with this product so for skin care lovers this is great value. Well done to Tropic's founder and Apprentice finalist Susan Ma as well as investor Lord Alan Sugar.

As well as the website in the link above you can also find out more about Tropic and it's products on Twitter @TropicSkinCare and on Facebook
