Mixed Product Reviews #4

Hey there my special Beauty Addicts. I hope you are all doing well and don't have the January blues or anything. I have a post for you today including lots of mixed product reviews so I will get straight into it.

Left To Right:

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, From £4.50 or $26.42 on amazon.com

I received this product in my August 2012 GlossyBox. Initially I wasn't sure if I liked the idea of a facial oil, but I have to say I really like this product. As advised I massaged this into my face and neck with dry hands and then washed it off in the shower. It did not make my skin feel greasy at all. Just clean and smooth on the surface. My skin is dry though so I am not sure how oily skins would find this works for them. I would totally recommend this product as top cleanser.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, £29.48 for 75g

I received this in my November 2012 GlossyBox. I had heard so many people raving about this product that I hoped I wouldn't be disappointed with it and I certainly wasn't. I love this product. The rice bran granules are so fine that they do not irritate my skin which usually becomes sensitive if I exfoliate my face more than twice a week. Being that this is a daily facial exfoliant I was a bit concerned, but I wanted to see how it worked so I used it every day after using the cleansing oil shown above. I shook the product into my hand and with a little water made a fine granulated paste which I massaged all over my face and neck in circular motions. This product I would certinly recommend to determine deeply cleansed and smooth skin. The combination of the cleanisng oil and this daily exfoliant made my skin squeaky clean literally every day.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Day Cream Normal To Dry Skin, Currently £2.99 for 75ml

I needed a face moisturiser and wanted to try something new. As Superdrug have some great products in their Essentials range I thought I would give this a try. This product has lasted me such a long time and for the price of currently £2.99 I would certainly recommend giving it a go. It feels so smooth on the skin and lovely to apply. A little goes a long way with this product and it has SPF 15. It is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. This product also comes in a pot for Normal To Combination Skin. There is a night cream and other products in this range which I will look into picking up.

Elizabeth's Daughter The Purifying Mask, £18.99 for 100ml

I was given this sample for free at the Vitality Boutique, Bluewater in September 2012. This is a lightly muddy looking mask. I don't really have much to say about this product as I didn't really feel any benefit from using it. It is recommended to use once or twice a week and I only had one use out of this so if anyone has used it regularly and can give more information please leave your comments below.

Left To Right:

Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Fluoride Toothpaste, Various prices

I was also given this sample at the above mentioned event. Every once in a while my teeth can become sensitive, but because they were not particularly sensitve when I was using this product I can't really say if it works for that reason. If you have sensitive teeth and have tried this please leave your thoughts below. If you Google this there are many links to various prices.

Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain Forever Pink, £16.50 or $28.35

I received this product in my February 2012 JolieBox. I didn't try this on my cheeks as I don't think I would like the feel of it there. As it is meant to change colour I didn't really want to use it there either. It was a nice tinted balm to use on my lips, but I accidently squished it in the lid when I forgot to screw it down so I used it up by scooping it out with a cotton bud, whoops :)

E.L.F. Studio Translucent Matifying Powder, £3.75 or $3.00

This product I have reviewed in my previous post here.

Left To Right:

Possibility Raspberry Pavlova Ultra Rich Shower Gel, Shampoo & Bubble Bath

I picked this up last year in Savers when they had it on a deal for £1.00. This product smells sweet like berry pastel sweets. That's the only way I can describe it. This is the last of the four from this range that I picked up.

Here is the recipe if you want to give it a go. They had this on the New Look website for £1.00, but it is now out of stock so I'm not sure if you can still pick up this product, sorry.

Molton Brown Warming Eucalyptus Bath & Shower Therapy, Various Places to buy for approx £18 or $30

I was given this sample when I picked up some products in store for my Mum while Xmas shopping. I was given this sample by the assistant that served me as she said it would relax me. I must have looked stressed while Xmas shopping or something, ha ha. I only used this in the shower, but this does have a gorgeously soothing and relaxing aroma. I could imagine it any spa. I have never bought anything from Molton Brown for myself or been given it as a present, but I would like to try some as they do really nice products. They do this Travel Size Bath & Shower Gel Set which I think would be good for trying out their scents.

Morrisons Shower Creme Orchid White

I don't remember the exact price of this I'm afraid, but I'm sure it was less than £1.00 for 400ml of product. The smell is that baby type smell. Very pure. I would pick this up again.

Left To Right:

Anatomicals Don't Just Clean It Woman, Scrub It Body Scrub, £2.99

I received this product in my October 2012 GlossyBox. I still find this product name funny to read. This was an okay body exfoliator. The scent is fruity and uplfiting.

Ted Baker Bodywear Gentle Body Scrub, Various Prices

This I believe I received in a gift set Xmas 2011. Again this was an okay body scrub. The scent is a lot more subtle. I would suggest searching on Google for this one.

Superdrug Body & Hand Lotion, Currently £1.39 for 375ml

There were 3 or 4 scents of this product when I picked this up. It is not named by scent so I will just say the red one. This has a very creamy and soft scent. The cream itself feels gorgeous. I would defintely pick this product up again. Such great value as it lasts ages.

That's all the products I have used up lately folks. I will keep trying out more and let you know how I get on with them. Which proudcts have you been loving and loathing? Let me know in the comments below.

Love to you all

Mixed Product Reviews #3

Hi there you Beauty Addicts. I hope you are having a fab weekend. I'm feeling all sorry for myself as I am not well :( I have a bad throat and cough and feel like death. Oh well enough of the drama let me get into my post to take my mind off of it. Today I have many mixed product reviews for you.

Left To Right:

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 80 Handy Wipes Orange Scented, £1.00

I picked these up in Poundland. I think they were in the baby section. I always go there now rather than the beauty section as you get 80 wipes for just £1.00 rather than the 20-30 wipes I usually get in the ones aimed at beauty.

This Works Clean Skin Daily Wash

I received this in my January Feelunique Beauty Box. I really enjoyed using this facial cleanser because of the scent. It felt like I was giving myself a relaxing facial each time I used it. It was a pretty good cleanser at removing make-up, but not every last trace. This was £18.00 for 150ml at the time I received it, but I'm not sure if it is still available anymore. I think it may have been discontinued or may now be the Gentle Cleanser?

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist Hydrating Spray, Various prices/sizes

I received this in my July GlossyBox. After cleansing I would spray this on as refreshing pick me up. I used it on sun burnt areas earlier in the year also to cool them down. Check out the link above for this product or alternatively have a look on Ebay or Amazon as I have seen it on those sites for various prices.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm, £25.50 for 100ml

I received this in my November 2011 Feelunique Beauty Box. This also came with the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Dual Action Professional Cleansing Cloth which I intend to keep and re-use as it can be washed. It looks like a white flannel. This combined with the face wash mentioned above was just a lovely combination. I love the packaging of this product. It looks expensive and classy. This did last me quite a while. The texture is like a smooth balmy paste. It's a lot more pleasant than it sounds. The scent is amazing. I see that on the John Lewis website there is a starter kit for just £32.00 that includes the balm and a cloth as well as 3 other treats. This may be a nice gift for someone this Xmas or even yourself.

Possibility Lemon Cheesecake Ultra Rich Shower Gel, Shampoo & Bubble Bath

At the time this was on offer in Savers for £1.00 so I snapped it up. I managed to snap the lid when I dropped it in the shower, doh! This was okay, but it has a slight medicinal scent to it. I will attempt to make the lemon cheesecake recipe on the front of the bottle and for those of you that want to also here is a close up.

Possibility Peppermint Ice Cream Ultra Rich Shower Gel, Shampoo & Bubble Bath

I bought this at the same time so I got this from Savers for £1.00 also. This one I really liked. It was so refreshing and uplifting. I would definitely pick this one up again. Here is a close up of the recipe on this one.

Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil, £14.28 for 100ml

I received this in my July 2011 GlossyBox. This product did not appeal to me from the start due to it's medicinal appearance. This is something at first glance I would expect to pick up in a pharmacy, not at a beauty counter. After a bath I applied this all over my body and lets just say if you tried to give me a hug you would probably have slipped right off me. This is definitely of an oil consistency. I thought this might sink into my skin after a while, but five hours later it still felt greasy on my skin. I could not do this to myself again so I resorted to using it as a massage oil as I hate wasting products. The scent is okay, but I'm not a massive fan. This ones a miss for me.

Aveeno Skin Relief Shea Butter Moisturising Lotion, £2.99 for 200ml

I think I got this free sample in a magazine. This lotion felt nice to apply and sank into my skin very easily.

Elizabeth's Daughter The Daily Moisturiser For Face and Body SPF15, £17.50 for 100ml

I received this free sample at Glow Bluewater when I attended the Vitality Boutique. This was also a nice cream to use on both my face and body that again sank into my skin nicely.

Alison Claire Remarkable Bio-Natural Beauty Mango Body Butter, £15.00 for 200ml

I received this product in my November GlossyBox. I love, love, love this product. The scent is just adorable. I made my fella smell me whenever I applied this if he was around. I smelt like a sweet and that's a good thing :) I actually got excited to apply this because of the amazing scent. I did go through this rather quickly as I tend to do a full body moisturise twice a day. I love the pump design. I only wish it came with a pump on the full size 200ml version.

Rose & Co Apothecary Rose Petal Salve, £5.00 for 20g

I received this in my October 2011 Boudoir Prive Box. This tin has lasted me absolutely ages. I have used other lips balms in between, but this I would say I have had around 7-8 months use out of. This always felt nice to apply, but it didn't resolve my dry, flaky lips. Mine are unruly though and nothing seems to work on them. The vintage tin is so cute and has the rose scent to match. I think this could be a sweet stocking filler for crimbo.

Colgate Advanced White Fluoride Toothpaste, £1.27 for 100ml

This toothpaste was fresher and more minty than the standard Colgate that I don't like because I think it lacks that fresh feeling. I did not notice whiter teeth in 14 days.

Oral B 3D White Brilliance Radiant Mint Fluoride Toothpaste, £2.49 for 75ml

This was fine to use, but again no whitening brilliance. I also hate screw top toothpaste as it ends up bouncing around my bathroom because I am forever dropping it.

No7 Lift & Luminate Foundation SPF 15 (Porcelain), £16.50

In the link above is No7's Lift & Luminate Foundation, but the bottle design has changed and I'm not sure if they have changed the formula so I can only tell you my thoughts on the product I have tried. This was a great everyday foundation. It was so easy to apply and gave a light/medium coverage. It did not feel heavy at all on my skin. I could wear this as a tinted moisturiser with one layer or build it up to two layers for a medium foundation coverage. I would not say that my skin felt more lifted as there was no tightening effect for me.

Superdrug Nail Polish Remover Acetone Formula, £1.09 for 250ml

This product is such great value. I prefer acetone polish removers as they can remove stubborn nail polish, especially glitters more easily. There is also a 50ml size for 79p.

Elegant Touch Vitamin E Rapid Dry Nail Spray, £2.79

I have been using this for years and I need to get some more. This is a simple spray that mists over your nails to help them dry quicker. It is said to dry nail polish in 60 seconds and although it dries them very quickly I would still be careful when digging around in your handbag or washing the dishes etc. A great alternative for speed when a top coat is just too much effort. So that I don't worry about smudging my nail art I use this so that no smearing occurs :)

Roger & Gallet Creme Sublime Bois D'Orange SPF 15 Hands & Nails Cream, £7.20 for 75ml

This was given to me for free at a Roger & Gallet PR event, Link. This product has a creamy, citrusy scent to it. This was a nice cream to use. It's weird how the design on the Roger & Gallet logo has gone a bit smudgy though.

So that's everything for these mixed reviews. I hope you found something informative in this post. What products have you been loving or loathing and why? Let me know in the comments below.

Love to you all

January 2012 Empties

Hello you sweet people. It's the weekend, yay! I get a bit excited when the sun is out if you can't tell :) I am so sorry it's later than I wanted it to be, but here is my post on the products I used up in January and my thoughts on them.

Face

Left To Right: No7 Radiance Revealed Exfoliator, Link :), Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer, Link :), No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum, Link :), Yon-Ka Vital Defense, Link :), Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturiser SPF 6, Link :), Lierac Creme Mesolift Anti-Aging Radiance, Link :)

No7 Radiance Revealed Exfoliator ~ £8.00 for 75ml

The Information:

No7 Radiance Revealed Exfoliator contains a special blend of different sized exfoliating particles, this light and gentle facial exfoliator deeply clenses, helps promote cell renewal and refines pores, leaving skin soft, smooth, energised and glowing with health. No7 Radiance Revealed Exfoliator contains natural fruit acids to brighten skin, plus conditioning pro-vitamin B5.

Application:

Once or twice a week, gently massage a small amount into cleansed, damp skin, avoiding the delicate eye area. Wash away thoroughly with warm water. Avoid direct contact with eyes. If product gets into the eyes rinse well with water immediately.

I have been using this product twice a week. The granules exfoliate my skin without feeling harsh. My skin is very dry and sensitive, especially on my face so I do not use facial exfoliators more than two or three times a week. There isn't much of a scent to it it's very mild. I use mine while I'm in the shower as I find I'm more likely to use it. This is available at Boots Pharmacy and boots.com

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer ~ £5.00 for 30ml

The Information:

This heavenly floral-scented, non-drying toner refreshes, soothes and brightens your skin. Gentle and alcohol-free, it also adds a fine layer of moisture.

Application:

Moisten a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck every morning and night after cleansing with Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser or using one of their special treatment masks. Whether your skin is dehydrated, oily, dull or congested, the nourishing and brightening botanicals will help to leave your skin feeling soft and looking fresh for longer. It also primes your skin perfectly for your choice of Liz Earle Moisturiser. Alternatively spritz over face and body to revitalise at any time. The fine mist can even be used over make-up.

Ingredients:

Naturally active ingredients include organic aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin.

Aqua (water), Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, Glycerin, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, Cucumis sativus (cucumber) fruit extract, Calendula officinalis (calendula) flower extract, Anthemis nobilis (chamomile) extract, Humulus lupulus (hops) extract, Panthenol, Allantoin, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Tocopheryl acetate, Parfum (fragrance), Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Linalool, Sodium hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyaminopropyl biguanide.

I received this as part of a gift that my boyfriend bought for me. Please find that post here. Now I'm not sure if this does magical things to my skin, but it certainly feels refreshing to use. This 30ml bottle has lasted for a while so it's pretty good value. This product comes in various sizes and you can choose the option of a bottle that you pour or a spray bottle like mine. I think it's great that they give you this option. I first cleanse, remove make-up if I have been wearing any and sometimes exfoliate. I then spritz this over my face rather than applying it with a cotton wool pad as suggested. That's just the way I have been doing it as a preference. It feels quite wet as I apply it liberally, but my skin soaks it up very quickly. I then follow with neck tightening spray, face serum and face moisturiser. This product is available from lizearle.com, Liz Earle stores, John Lewis Stores, QVC, Fenwick Bond Street and boutique stockists.

The last time I reviewed this product was in my September Empties post here. Now I'm not sure if it's because I'm getting older or if my skin has just changed, but this product is not taking care of my fine lines and wrinkles like it used to.  I would still recommend this product for someone with just one or two lines forming. I am tempted to try Nanoblur Optical Skin Cream, Link :), but I haven't read many reviews on it yet. Have you tried it. What did you think?

Yon-Ka Vital Defense

All information is in this link here as I received this product in my 1st JolieBox in December.

This was a nice cream, but that's all I have to say about it really. I'm not sure of it's price I'm afraid.

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturiser SPF 6

I received this product in my November Boudoir Prive box. Please see that post with all the information here

Again this was a nice enough moisturiser.

Lierac Creme Mesolift Anti-Aging Radiance

I received this product in my January Feelunique Beauty Box. Please see that post with all the information here

I love the scent and appearance of this product. The packaging is nice and brightening too. It is a nice moisturiser, but a bit expensive.

Body

Left To Right: Mama Mio O.Mega Body Buff, Link :), Deadsea Spa Magik Bath Salts, Link :), Cussons Imperial Leather Little Treat Pampering Cherry Blossom & Vanilla Bean Shower Cream, Superdrug Body Spray (Seduction), Link :)

Mama Mio O.Mega Body Buff ~ £23.00 for 200ml

I received this product in my June GlossyBox. Please see that post here for all the information.

I used this product mainly on my body, but a couple of times on my face. It's a nice enough exfoliator and not too harsh for the face so it's good that you can use it as a duo product. I found the bottle hard to squeeze the product out of though so I ended up unscrewing the lid and smacking it out instead. It's nice, but even if they changed the bottle to a squeezy tube I still wouldn't buy it as it's too expensive. It does smell good though.

Deadsea Spa Magik Bath Salts ~ £5.89 for 1000g

I received this product in my November GlossyBox. Please find all the information in that post here.

I am not usually a fan of bath salts, but these made my bath water feel smooth on my skin. There was no gritty layer on the bottom of the bath. I prefer foaming bubbles in my bath as it adds to the relaxation and I feel a bit bare without them. If they could change the packaging to a tub that would be great.

Cussons Imperial Leather Little Treat Pampering Cherry Blossom & Vanilla Bean Shower Cream ~ 99p for 250ml

The Information:

Mild enough for the whole family, dermatologically tested, 100% soap free and skin friendly PH.

Cherry Blossom - A light and alluring fragrance, a Chinese symbol of female beauty

Vanilla Bean - Warm, comforting and relaxing

I picked this up in the 99p Stores and I love it. I can't find it on their website now so I'm not sure if it's still available. It smells amazing. It has that real baby scent to it. I love, love, love it <3

Superdrug Body Spray (Seduction) ~ 69p for 35ml

The Information:

A sultry body spray with a touch of musk to spritz generously over your skin. Let the sensual tones ravish your senses. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Application:

Shake well, hold 15-20cm from body and spray.

I purchased this product in my Superdrug Haul in August. Please see that post here. This scent really is seductive. I think this product is great value, but I hope it is not just reduced to the travel size now as mine is a 75ml can.

Left To Right: The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion, Link :), Hello Kitty Strawberry Body Butter, Next Just Pink Shimmer Body Lotion, Etro Fragrances (Vicolo Fiori, Heliotrope & Etra Etro), Link :)

The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion ~ £8.00 for 250ml

The Information:

This lightweight but richly moisturising body lotion has a sweet cocoa scent.
  • Moisturising
  • Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth
  • Sweet cocoa scent

Application:

Massage into skin and allow to sink in before dressing.

Ingredients:

  • Community Fair Trade cocoa butter
  • Sunflower seed oil

Aqua (Water) (Solvent/Diluent), Theobroma cacao (Cocoa Butter) (Emollient), Glycerin (Humectant), Helianthus annuus (Sunflower Seed Oil) (Emollient), Ceteth-20 (Emulsifier), Octyl Palmitate (Emollient), Steareth-2 (Emulsifier), Dimethicone (Skin Conditioning Agent), Phenoxyethanol (Preservative), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Carbomer (Stabiliser/Viscosity Modifier), Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Methylparaben (Preservative), Parfum (Fragrance), Propylparaben (Preservative), Sodium Hydroxide (pH Adjuster), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzophenone-4 (Sunscreen), Disodium EDTA (Chelating Agent), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Geraniol (Fragrance Ingredient), Amyl Cinnamal (Fragrance Ingredient), Hydroxycitronellal (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzyl Salicylate (Fragrance Ingredient), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzyl Benzoate (Solvent), Isoeugenol (Fragrance Ingredient), Cinnamyl Alcohol (Fragrance Ingredient), Farnesol (Fragrance Ingredient), Citral (Fragrance Ingredient), Eugenol (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzyl Cinnamate (Fragrance Ingredient), CI 15985 (Colour), CI 19140 (Colour).

I received this product as a Secret Santa gift from work about 2/3 years ago. I never used to like the scent of cocoa butter, but I do quite like it now. I believe that most fake tans have a cocoa bean underlying scent to them and I don't mind this. Again I ended up unscrewing the lid on this when it got near the end as the bottle is quite stiff and it's hard to get the product out.

Hello Kitty Strawberry Body Butter ~ £1.00 for 75g

My Mum picked this up for me when she also got the cherry scented one. Please see that post review here in my November Empties. This is from Poundland. I love the cute tin and the cream smells gorgeous. I do prefer body creams, lotions and butters that you don't scoop out as it gets under my nails and drives me mad, but it's Hello Kitty so I can't fault it really :)

Next Just Pink Shimmer Body Lotion

The Information:

A fresh floral fragrance containing mandarin, freesia and peach, resting on a heart of lily of the valley, rose, jasmine and wild orchid. A lightly fragranced body lotion that will help leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and lightly shimmering.

Application:

Gently massage into the skin.

I received this product a few years ago from a friend as part of a gift set. I can not find it on the Next website. It does have a very soft and gentle scent to it. The shimmer is more of a sheen really. There are no chunky glitter particles in it.

Etro Fragrances (Vicolo Fiori, Heliotrope & Etra Etro) ~ Various Sizes/Prices in the link under the photo

I received these fragrances in my November GlossyBox. Please see that post here for my thoughts on these scents. These are available from House Of Fraser.

Make-Up

Left To Right: E.L.F. Studio Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 (Porcelain), Link :), Bourjois Khol & Contour Ultrablack Eyeliner Pencil, Link :)

E.L.F. Studio Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 (Porcelain) ~ £3.50 for 0.88floz

The Information:

This lightweight and hydrating formula is breathable and provides anti-aging sun protection with UVA/UVB SPF 20. Achieve even skin tone and naturally radiant skin with this moisturizing sheer tint of color. The smooth formula enhances your complexion with the nourishing key ingredients Aloe, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E.

Application:

To use just apply to clean skin in an upward and outward motion with a makeup sponge or foundation brush to achieve a flawless look.

Ingredients:

ACTIVE: Benzophenone-3, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide.
INACTIVE: Water, Mineral Oil, Cyclomethicone, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Steareth-21 Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-2, Glyceryl Stearate, Xanthan Gum, Methylparaben, Propylparabem, Tocopherol(VE), Retinyl Acetate(VA), Ascorbyl Palmitate(VC), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, MAY CONTAIN: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891) .

Please see my full review on this product here.

Bourjois Khol & Contour Ultrablack Eyeliner Pencil

I have had this eyeliner for absolutely ages. I am not sure what I paid for it at the time. The information on the Bourjois website describes this as intense colour for up to 16 hours so I'm not sure if it's been updated?

Here is the information on the current eyeliner version of this product:

Enriched with pure pigments, this kohl allows for an intense result from the very first stroke and lasts up to 16 hours*

Its soft and blendable formula is ideal to apply both on the inner and outer rims of the eye. Hypoallergenic, with natural wax and vitamin E, it is gentle on the delicate eye contour area. Available in 7 shades.

*Scientifically tested on 22 consumers - result obtained on 32% of panelists

This eyeliner does have a quite intensely black and creamy, smooth formula to it. I'm not sure if I have dropped it too many times, but I can not sharpen it anymore as the pencil keeps breaking every time I do.

Dental

Left To Right: Colgate Max White One, Link :), Macleans Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste

Colgate Max White One ~ £3.99 for 75ml

The Information:

Colgate Max White One Fresh toothpaste with White Accelerator micro-crystals safely removes stains and prevents tartar build-up to help you get one shade whiter teeth in one week.

Now I admit I did not take before and after pictures of my teeth so I can't say for sure, but I didn't notice any difference in the shade of my teeth. I didn't mind the taste and freshness of this one though as I don't like the Colgate toothpaste that is the plain white one. I don't like the taste and my mouth doesn't feel as fresh as it should after brushing. I got this for free when I went to BINTM LIve! last year. Please see that post here

Macleans Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste

The Information:

Clinically proven to whiten teeth after 28 days of daily usage. Not suitable for children under the age of 7 years.

Application:

Brush twice daily for clean teeth, healthy gums and fresh breath.

This was good enough to use, but I didn't test it properly for whitening. I didn't notice any shade change.

Candles

Left To Right: Betty Crocker Candle (Apple Pie) & StarLytes Scented Candle (Candy Cane)

Betty Crocker Candle (Apple Pie) ~ 99p

I picked this up in the 99p Stores. This has such a warm, autumnal scent to it. I threw the packaging away before taking this photo.

StarLytes Scented Candle (Candy Cane) ~ 99p for 85g

I also picked this up in the 99p Stores. This really does smell like candy canes. These are both such great value and you could use the jars for storage or to put tea lights in when you have finished with these candles.

I bought these candles and others before Xmas. Please see my original post here.

Products I would repurchase:

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer

Cussons Imperial Leather Little Treat Pampering Cherry Blossom & Vanilla Bean Shower Cream

Superdrug Body Spray (Seduction)

E.L.F. Studio Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 (Porcelain)

Betty Crocker Candle (Apple Pie)

StarLytes Scented Candle (Candy Cane)

So that's it for my January Empties. So sorry it's late. I will be posting about my February Empties soon :)

What have you used up lately? Did you love, loathe or just like the products?

Love to you all
