NIVEA SKINCARE REVIEWS - STAR PRODUCT INCLUDED!

Hi Everyone and Happy December to you all. I hope you are all full of festive cheer.

Now onto the purpose of your visit. I was sent over some Nivea products to test and review for you so here are my thoughts :)

This wonderful Nivea and British fashion designer collaboration adds a little flair and style to your dressing table. This product does what it says on the tin literally providing all day protection without leaving clothes yellow stained and without white marks.

I use this anti-perspirant deodorant after each shower because I enjoy the fresh feeling and assurance it gives me to feel ready for the day or night ahead. I'm not sure if I would feel quite as fresh not applying it again for 48 hours.

This product has a combination of Coenzyme Q10 (a natural component of your skin that reduces with age) and the powerful antioxidant of vitamin C to combat fresh and tired skin around the eyes giving a smoother and firmer appearance.

This product did leave my skin feeling smooth around my eyes, but thankfully (touches wood) I don't suffer too badly with dark circles or wrinkles around the eye area. It seems like it could however be a great eye cream for those of you who are struggling with such issues.

A fast absorbing, moisturising 48 hour smooth skin product infused with Nivea's Deep Moisture Serum and Sea Minerals.

Now I tell you no lies when I say that this has to be my most favourite body lotion I have EVER used. I love Nivea skincare anyway, but this product is one that I plan on sticking with forever. It has such a silky serum texture that is not sticky at all and yes it absorbs really quickly. The scent is lovely and refreshing too. I usually hate applying body lotion because it feels cold in winter and sticky in the summer. I hate that I can't put my clothes on for ages after applying it. Not with this product though. I actually look forward to applying it daily. Sometimes if I have been in a rush I have forgotten to smooth some over my body, but the moisture really does seem to last if a miss a day so the 48 hour promise that this product claims appears to be true. This is actually a larger bottle that I purchased myself after finishing off the other one sent to me. This one comes with a pump which made me love it even more. The pump makes application so much quicker and easier. This is a star product for sure!

Do leave comments below if you try out any of these products so that others can learn from your experience of using them.

Love to you all

EUCERIN HYALURON-FILLER RANGE

Hi there beauties! I know it's been a while, but rather than chatting about that I am going to get straight into today's review of some products that were sent to me to sample.

This cream has been created to plump up the skin disguising lines and wrinkles and retaining water to lessen the opportunity for new ones appearing. Perfect for under make-up.

With an overnight regeneration formula skin feels soft and well cared for.

Particularly targeting crows feet this product helps to smooth out the delicate eye area for a more youthful appearance.

This product has skin smoothing properties, but is also a colour correcting make-up moisturiser to even out the skin tone. It can be worn under foundation if extra coverage is needed.

Each product in the clinically-tested Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler range contains a combination of high and low Hyaluronic Acid as well as bio-active Glycerin Saponin, to help plump even the deepest of wrinkles from within!

Before agreeing to sample these products I asked this question:

I must admit to not knowing much about the ingredient Glycerin Saponin. I am assuming that it is a natural ingredient safe for all skin types?

Reply:

Soy-derived bio-active Glycine-Saponin is proven as one of the most effective substances for enhancing natural Hyaluronic Acid production, and as an ingredient, is present in many different skincare products. It stimulates fibroblasts, the skin cells responsible for dermal Hyaluronic Acid production, to boost synthesis of new Hyaluronic Acid. It is perfectly safe to use on the skin and has no known side effects.

Overall thoughts:

I have to say that the day cream, night cream and eye cream in this range have worked absolute wonders for my skin. I have used some great skincare products in my time, but my skin has never felt smoother. I had noticed I was developing more lines around my eyes recently, but these products, especially the eye cream have helped to reduce them fantastically. They are just magic and I would totally recommend them for anyone with dry and/or ageing skin. They create a great base for your make-up to go on more smoothly too.

The CC Cream looked a bit too dark for my skin tone when I pumped it out, but once blended in it looked quite natural. It did even out my varying skin tones to some degree and once I had applied my concealer and other make-up it didn't look too bad. However if you prefer more coverage I would use it as a base under foundation as suggested.

I hope you are all doing well and that you find something worth trying out from this review.

Check out the EUCERIN HYALURON-FILLER RANGE and tell me below which products you can't wait to try. You can pick them up in Boots!

Love to you all

EUCERIN CC CREAM & SPF SKINCARE

Hi beauties. I hope you are all fabulous as always. Today I have some product reviews for you from the Eucerin range that were sent to me to try out. They are focused on SPF protection, but there is also a CC cream in the mix too so read on ......

With a long lasting matt finish effect this high factor daily sunscreen protects against sun-induced skin damage. With intense moisturisation it reduces the appearance of wrinkles on the face and decolletage.

This product has a very light texture and sinks into the skin easily. I wore it under make-up without any issue as it is not like some sunscreens that can be quite greasy. Although it has a mattifying effect it did not dry out my already dry skin. It just kept it even in texture.

Suitable for sensitive skin types and fair complexions. With a mattifying effect and tinted cream that also protects the skin from sun damage.

This is also very lightweight and sinks in really easily. It again mattifies, but does not cause problems for my dry skin. Although the product is tinted I would not say it gave me natural tan skin tone. The colour disappeared into nothing and instead the product worked as an excellent primer, especially under make-up. My imperfections were blurred and my skin looked more even prior to make-up application.

These two products are great as part of your every day skincare and if you are wearing it make-up routine.

Made for dry skin this water-resistant sunscreen protects against skin age-ing and pigment spots.

This non-sticky, non-greasy water resistant formula absorbs easily into the skin giving you a high level of sun protection.

These two products are easy to use and perfect for on the go sun protection.

Check out the full Eucerin Sun Protection range to discover your perfect combination of products.

Leave comments below of your favourite Eucerin sun protection products below with reasons why.

DHC BEAUTY LIFT SERIES

Hey Beauties! I have been sent some great products from the DHC ULTRA-HYDRATING BEAUTY LIFT SERIES to review for you so I will crack on and tell you my thoughts.

The beauty lift series aims to hydrate, smooth and give skin an instantly lifted feel and appearance. The range has a very lightweight and calming formula which I agree is a refreshing change to other heavier anti-ageing ranges.

Every morning and evening after cleansing and washing my face I pat it dry and apply a few drops of the BEAUTY LIFT LOTION which is a hydrating lifting toner. I apply it with my hands, but you can use a cotton pad if you prefer as it is a very liquid formula. It is said to reduce the look of fine lines and minimise expression lines while hydrating and prepping the skin for moisture. I sometimes think that toners can feel like a bit of a pointless step in a skincare routine as I have used some that don't seem to do anything. This product however does gently awaken the skin and yes it does feel like it has a priming effect. My skin seems a little more held together after applying it and ready for the next step of my skincare. It's a little hard to explain, but I hope you kind of see what I mean.

Next I apply a couple of pumps of the BEAUTY LIFT ESSENCE which is a silky-soft lifting serum. This feels so smooth and gentle on the skin. It's not tacky at all and glides over the skin leaving a lovely smoothing veil of moisture. This again I use day and night.

In the morning my next step is to apply again a couple of pumps of the BEAUTY LIFT MILK which is a light lifting moisturiser. This feels like a very similar consistency as the Beauty Lift Essence. I thought initially that my skin surely could not feel any better after using the essence, but I was wrong. The milk adds even more moisture. My skin feels super hydrated, smooth and protected.

In the evenings I swap the milk for the BEAUTY LIFT CREAM which is an intensive lifting cream. This is also a great hydrating and smoothing product that is a lightweight cream rather than serum consistency. It feels great to apply at the end of the day.

I had no problem at all wearing these products under my make-up. I was using up a pretty cheap moisturiser prior to using these products and boy did I notice the difference in quality. These products provide me with such smooth skin that feels lifted in a quite subtle and natural way. You are not going to feel or look like you have had botox afterwards, but instead feel hydrated, smooth, glowing and dare I say it flawless.

RITUALS HAMMAM COLLECTION

Hi there lovelies. I love trying out new skincare so when I was sent these products to review from the RITUALS HAMMAM COLLECTION I knew I had to share with you my thoughts on them.

We have all heard of primers for make-up, but how about one for exfoliation? This body cleanser is great especially for those with dry skin. My legs can get quite itchy if they are too dry, but this product instantly makes them smooth and so soft. It has such a fresh Eucalyptus scent that soothes my senses as well as my skin. While having a hot shower I apply the paste to my skin. It's not extra thick in texture, but it looks a bit like a face mask for the body. I simply rinse off and scrub my skin with an exfoliating glove or shower puff. My skin feels smoother using this product rather than my shower puff alone so it's worth this extra step which takes no time at all.

This product is the perfect partner after exfoliation to add even more hydration and lock in moisture. This non-greasy lotion massages into the skin easily leaving a velvety veil to comfort and sooth even further.

These products add inner warmth and a pampered feeling to the skin. There are many other products to discover within the HAMMAM COLLECTION. I already have my eye on the Hammam Massage Body Oil.

NIVEA Q10 FIRMING & CELLULITE SKINCARE

Hi lovelies. I am here today to talk about four Nivea Q10 products that were sent to me to try. I thought why not give you my thoughts on them so here they are :)

Smooths and tones targeted areas such as the thighs, buttocks and belly. Results should be seen in 10 days. Suitable for all skin types.

This is a lovely lightweight gel serum which seems to have fine shimmer particles for a nice sheen on the skin making it look more toned.

Improves skins firmness in 2 weeks leaving it feeling more energised, nourished and protected from drying out.

This has a gorgeous creamy scent and sinks into the skin really well.

Firms the skin in 2 weeks. Energises instantly and reduces the appearance of cellulite even without extra massage in 3 weeks. Suitable for all skin types. Apply to thighs, buttocks and belly without the need for extra massage.

This is a blue gel-cream that seems water based with an unusual scent.

Firms in 2 weeks while intensively moisturising the skin. Nourishing and suitable for stretchmarks. Suitable for all skin types.

Sinks in nicely without being greasy, but the next day it felt like I had a layer of matte soft emollient on my skin which I didn't really like. It says it is suitable for stretchmarks, but does not say it helps them to fade or anything.

Overall I have loved trying out all of these products except the body oil simply because I don't like the product texture that is left on my skin, but others may love it.

All the other products sank into my skin pretty quickly making it feel soft, supple and nourished. I don't seem to have noticed any real difference in the cellulite I have and I haven't become a toned goddess in the last few weeks, but my skin does feel smoother. I love the feel of the cellulite and moisturiser products when I apply them and I can notice a difference in my skin texture. As mentioned above the cellulite serum is great with the sheen it gives for leaner looking limbs.

I am undecided on the powers of these products. I can be a bit lazy when it comes to body moisturising and so I missed a day or two here and there which may/may not have made a difference. However I will continue to use the 3 products that I love because I do feel more body confident when I use them.

Why not share your thoughts on Nivea Q10 products you have tried in the comments below.

EUCERIN AQUAPORIN ACTIVE REVITALISING EYE CARE CREAM

Hi sweeties. I have been testing out this Eucerin eye care product which was sent on to me for review purposes so here are my thoughts.

The claims of this eye contour moisturiser are that it adds hydration to give smooth, supple and radiant skin while reducing puffiness and dark circles as well as fine lines. Compatible with sensitive skin and suitable for contact lens wearers.

So does it work?

I found this to be very hydrating keeping puffiness and dark circles at bay. I do not however suffer too often with dark circles though.

I applied this morning and night after my face moisturiser. It works fine under make-up.

The metal applicator that the product is squeezed through at the end of the tube feels very cooling on the skin which I think aids in reducing puffiness. I do find that it can be a little hard to control the amount of product that comes out so I tend to squeeze a bit out before pressing it onto my skin and smoothing under the eyes. I end up using my finger to smooth excess product into my skin and to wipe the metal part of the tube as it does end up with cream around it.

I think the metal part of the tube is an innovative design, but because it gets a bit messy I guess that is the only negative I can find.

All in all a nice eye cream, but it's not wowed me as much as I had hoped.

Let me know your favourite eye creams in the comments below with your thoughts on this type of design.

BEAUTY KITCHEN LOVE ME CARING & ANTI-AGEING BATH OIL

Hi lovelies. I have a pampering product to talk with you about today that was kindly sent to me by BEAUTY KITCHEN.

Described as a silky rich bath & massage oil that nourishes and moisturises the body.

The scent of this product is so relaxing and gives you that warm zen feeling that will be perfect as the weather gets colder. Your senses are very much aware of the cinnamon and citrus scents as you breath it in.

I did not use this in the bath as that's not how I like to use oils, but as a massage oil oh my goodness. I never thought that I would notice the quality of an oil for this purpose, but I certainly did with this product.

I like that you can pour out droplets from the lid as it gives you more control with the amount you want to use. I would say 8-10 drops for a back massage is about enough.

I tried this on my boyfriend and he tried it on me too. The product makes massage so much easier as it helps your hands to glide over the skin without feeling greasy. Some oils I find absorb a little too quickly, but this product smoothed in nicely after 10 mins leaving the skin moisturised and nourished, but not tacky.

Afterwards you get to enjoy the scent lingering on your skin which is great if applied before bed because it helps you to relax.

This product also contains sesame seed oil which is full of zinc. This is an essential mineral for producing collagen to give skin elasticity. So that's where the anti-ageing part comes in.

I hope you enjoyed this review. Beauty Kitchen have plenty of skin care and body care products to choose from to suit all your needs. You can also search their site for products by scent too. Genius!

DHC RESVERATROL SKINCARE RANGE

Hello beauties. It's great to have you here so that I can tell you about my latest facial skincare products from one of my fave brands DHC.

Resveratrol is a highly potent antioxidant found in the skin of red grapes and when applied topically it improves tissue elasticity, supports the skins natural moisture barrier and protects against environmental damage.
The Resveratrol three-step skincare system includes a high concentration of this wonder ingredient. Unlike other powerful anti-ageing ingredients like retinol, resveratrol is non-irritating and suitable for even sensitised skin.
Featuring a hydrating toner, super-booster and rich moisturiser, DHC’s Resveratrol products can be layered for maximum results.
Application:
So each morning and night over the last few weeks I have been applying this three step system after cleansing my face and neck. I apply a few drops of the lotion which is a toner by patting it onto my face. Then I smooth one pump of the essence which is a serum over my skin with my hands. Lastly I apply the cream. Just a small amount is needed as it's quite thick, but smooths on easily. It feels very luxurious.
Results:
My skin is typically dry, but has been much less so since using these products. In fact I would say I hardly ever see dry patches now. The fine lines around my eyes are less obvious. My skin feels and looks very smooth and plumped. These products work well under make-up too. I don't have to wait ages for any of the products to sink in. In fact the moisturising cream almost acts as a primer because I am sure my make-up is staying on a little longer throughout the day.
This range has a big thumbs up from me. The products are a bit pricey, but they work and they will last a long time. So if your skincare is important to you take a look at this range or other products from DHC as they are definitely a brand that looks after your skin well.
These products were sent to me, but this is an honest review.

Love to you all

SKINCARE : IN-SHOWER BODY MOISTURISERS

Hey lovelies. If you are anything like me and lazy when it comes to applying body moisturisers daily then I could have the perfect solution for you.

This was given to me in a gift set for my birthday, but I have linked to Superdrug above where this product is currently reduced. This has a lovely creamy honey scent that moisturises the skin really well. I have used a few of the Nivea In-Shower body moisturisers and love them. They are so easy to use and add moisture quickly all over your body. Just use your usual shower wash. Then apply this to wet skin and rinse off.

This product is applied to wet skin in the shower and then you rinse it off. It does say you can follow with body cream, but I didn't find I needed to unless I perhaps shaved my legs that day and wanted to add extra moisture. The scent is fantastic with pistachio, almond, and sweet vanilla.

I love both of these brands for lots of products. I do think I like the Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturisers more as I find they moisturise my skin deeper and for longer.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN USING IN-SHOWER BODY MOISTURISERS AS THEY WILL MAKE THE FLOOR OF YOUR SHOWER/BATHTUB SLIPPERY ESPECIALLY IF YOU APPLY TOO MUCH!! SO TREAD CAREFULLY AND CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS :)

In the comments below please leave your favourite time saving products for us busy lovelies!

Love to you all
