PRIMARK HAUL - MAXI SKIRTS, PLIMS & PJ'S

Hi Everyone! Spring is finally upon us thank goodness. I love brighter and longer days as it puts me in a much better mood. When it gets warmer in the summer I will truly be in my happy place :)

Today I have a Primark haul with of course some great bargain finds ....

CANVAS PLIMS (CHARCOAL & WHITE) - SIZE 5 - £6 EACH PAIR

I already have these in black/white and a dark purple. They are so comfortable and easy to throw on with jeans or leggings. I think the white ones are a wardrobe staple that would also look great with summer dresses.

IT'S SO FLUFFY PJ TOP - SIZE M (10/12) - £7

This pj set did come as separates. I might have sized down on this top, but because the sleeves are more slim fit than the top itself I will stick with this size.

IT'S SO FLUFFY CUFFED PJ BOTTOMS - SIZE M (10/12) - £7

I love cuffed bottoms as it saves me tripping over running up and down the stairs. These are true to size and go perfectly with the top.

PLAIN CHEESECLOTH MAXI SKIRTS (KHAKI & NAVY) - SIZE 10 - £10 EACH

These are so lightweight which will be great for when it gets a bit warmer. They feel so comfortable and are very versatile. They will look perfect with off the shoulder tops, vests, tees and much more. The waistband is very stretchy so perfect for bbq's ;) I really like the casual vibe of the side pockets and because of the material creases will not be really obvious. Bonus!! I will have to wear them with a slight wedged shoe as they are a little bit long, but that's fine. I only wish they had more colours :(

OATMEAL THUMPER CUFFED PJ BOTTOMS - SIZE M (10/12) - £7

Again these are super comfy and true to size. They are cute, but quite neutral in tone so easy to pair with plain tops.

I hope you enjoyed this haul. I will most likely be popping to Primark again in the next week or two so watch this space for more goodies!

Love to you all

PRIMARK HAUL BARGAINS

Hey there gorgeous people. I popped into Primark a few days ago as it was payday and I wanted to pick up a new winter coat. I am not fooled by the odd sunny moments we are having in the UK (ha ha). I always have a warm coat with a hoodie for winter as I travel by public transport a lot and hate being cold. As well as picking up a coat I also got some great sale bargains. Yes SALE so read on so that you can run out and get them too :)

YELLOW SKORT

This is my very first skort. I never knew if I would ever pick one of these up, but the neon yellow and floral print of this little number had me hooked. If you are unaware a skort are shorts with a wrap front to make it look like a skirt so that your modesty is in tact. These have a zip back and side pockets. I got them in a size 10 and they are perfect with just a little room so that I don't feel they are riding up. They are quite see through, but I would only wear them over tights or leggings anyway. You will never believe that they were reduced from £7 to just £1.

BLACK & GREY SLEEVE SKIRTS

The sleeve wrap on dresses and skirts is more of an up to date trend that I have been wanting to get on board with. Yes you can just wrap something like a jumper or shirt around your waist, but if you don't want bulk at the back and you want the sleeves to be the same as the skirt you are wearing these are perfect. I got them in a size 10 also. They were reduced from £5 to £2 each.

PINK FLOWER TOP KNOTS (X2)

These pretty neon pink hair accessories are so cute. I am actually going to be styling them in a very different way so let me know if you want to see how in an outfit post? They were £1.50 each. They also came in a peachy shade and a wine red shade.

BLACK V NECK TEE DRESS

This is a great piece to have for days when you just don't know what to wear. The roll up hems on the sleeves are a subtle touch, but something more than just plain sleeves. I got this in a size 6 and on average I am a size 10. There is still plenty of room in this for me so bear that in mind if you do pick this up as I would say it is still a bit oversized. This was reduced from £5 to £2. It did come in white, but it was a bit see through. I wish I had got it now as I would have worn it for bed at least. This is a staple piece that I will wear all year on it's own or over leggings.

NAVY NYLON FUR PARKA

Finally the item that I went shopping for I found. This navy parka has detachable fur on the hood which has a gorgeously soft fleece lining. It has a front zip with poppers and two front pockets that have buttons (sorry not shown as undone). The waist has a drawstring with fasteners to keep it where you want it. I bought this in a size 12 because I wanted to wear extra thick jumpers underneath and I think that would have been a struggle on the arms. I did fit into a size 8 comfortably and as previously mentioned I usually buy a 10. As the waist is adjustable it doesn't look excessively big. The bottom part of this parka does stick out a bit like a tu tu which I would prefer it to lie flatter, but I can live with it. This also came in grey and I think Khaki and black. This parka cost £25.

So that's my haul. I think I got some great finds here which were very affordable. Let me know your Primark bargains in the comments below along with your favourites from my haul.

Peppermint Giraffe Bloggers Love Event

Hi lovelies. I hope you having a fun Friday. It's mad that it's October already I can't believe it. Today I have a fashion brand to introduce to.

I attended the Penthouse London last night for the Bloggers Love Peppermint Giraffe event. The brand has such a variety of cool 90's inspired pieces with upcycling and customising at their core for women and teenage girls.

There were beverages and cupcakes for guests to enjoy as well as manicures and tunes from DJ Sash Dixon. I got their a bit early so I had the chance to take some snaps from the rails before it got too busy.

Now on to the catwalk show ...........

Peppermint Giraffe is a UK company, based in the north which launched in 2010. Peppermint Giraffe have been successfully selling from their website including overseas customers from the US and Europe, small boutiques and market stalls for over two years and saw this Bloggers Love event as a great way of introducing others to their brand. The clothing is full of fun and edge and is definitely for women with a rebellious streak!

'We don’t take ourselves too seriously; we just love the fun and expression of fashion.'

Every item is unique. Peppermint Giraffe also customise clients own clothes when requested, with names, dates and occasions which are unique and special to them. The clothing is edgy and with a street vibe, inspired by 90’s rave fashion and music, punk fashion, and the rock chick look.

'We rip, slash, paint, cover in bling, zips, studs, chains and whatever we can get our hands on to make things stand out.'

At the even there was a raffle where the winner would receive a £100 voucher to spend online at Peppermint Giraffe in aid of the Amy Winehouse Foundation

The winner was announced at the end of the event and the winner was ..................

...... ME :)

I couldn't believe it as I don't usually win anything. I am so excited to be able to choose something unique from Caroline's fabulous and exciting fashion brand Peppermint Giraffe. I will show you in another post what I spent my voucher on :)

I wish Caroline the best of luck for the future. I love the innovative fashion that Caroline produces. There is something about wearing an item that you know is a one off. The Peppermint Giraffe pieces on offer are so wearable yet still have an impact. You will get noticed wherever you go when wearing the statement pieces that Caroline creates all by herself. Some items take a whole day for Caroline to make.

I imagine that Peppermint Giraffe would be loved by celebrities such as Rita Ora, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Rihanna.

Check out Peppermint Giraffe fashion here before someone else takes that one off piece that you know you would have wanted for yourself!

Skirts To Tops

Hello Beauties. Have you all had a well rested lie in this Sunday morning? I do hope so. I had a really nice evening last night. My man invited his brother to dinner and he made us a curry. It was yummy and the wine helped it wash down nicely. We watched a film and had a good catch up with way too much ice-cream.

Today I want to talk about how irritating it is when you have items of clothing that you love, but you wish worked differently ........

I have had these tube skirts from Primark for quite some time and while I love how they look on and the range of colours they do have one let down to them. They ride up as I walk along and I hate that pulling the skirt down thing I think most females have had to endure at one time or another. Rather than letting these items go to waste I thought why not just wear them as tube tops so that's my plan. I am thinking I may need wear a stretchy belt around the waist to make sure they don't ride up, but that's better than not using them at all. So now I have five new tops to wear :) If you would like to see me wearing these in an OOTD/OOTN post just let me know.

What clothing items have you used in different ways than their original purpose? Let me know in the comments below.

Primark/H&M Haul

Hi there my lovelies. It's the weekend, woo hoo :) I wanted to show you these bits and bobs that I got from Primark and H&M. I am really pleased with what I got for the prices. Some of these things I have been on the look out for so I was extra chuffed when I found them. Let me begin with Primark.

These gorgeous off-white, grey, black dip-dye earrings were £1.50. They are quite long, but because of the colour I don't think they are very obvious or obnoxious. They are very lightweight too because of the tassle material.

Now this little beauty was reduced from £4.00 to just £1.00. As you can see it is a chiffon flower design with pearls in the centre of each flower. The chiffon is grey with a slight mauve colour running through it. In the first shot I think you can see just how beautiful these flowers are.

In the second shot I wanted to give you more of an idea of what the chain looks like. I think it's really nice to have the contrast of the subtle, delicate flowers with the toughness of the multi-strand silver chains.

I have been using these face wipes for some time. You get 2 packs of 25 wipes (so 50 wipes) for just £1.00. There are 3 types of wipes that Primark sell. These are the white pack ones that are fragrance free. They claim to be dermatologically tested. Also they say they cleanse, tone, moisturise and remove make-up.

Now I do not use these every day, but they are very handy when I am in a rush or just too tired to do a thorough deep cleanse. I know that there will be those of you saying that you should make time when removing make-up, but I would only use these very rarely for removing a very light application of make-up or just to refresh my face. I think it's better than not taking my make-up off at all.

I also like that these are fragrance free. I tried the pink coloured packs which I believe are for sensitive skin, but I really didn't like the smell. I can only describe it as the smell of a cleaning product for the house rather than your skin. I am not sure what the green coloured packs are for as they were only at the tills, but not my till. I couldn't get a chance to see as it was so busy. It really annoys me when shops do this. If you want to give people a chance to look at a product at the tills put it on every till please!

A little face wipe tip lovelies. You can use them to remove those pesky stickers from new products, especially the bottom of shoes. The stickers can often leave a sticky residue behind so you pick up anything that you tread in. Not nice :( Just rub any face wipes you have over the sticker and it will come off a lot more easily. I also like to have face wipes to hand when doing swatches for my posts :)

There are days when I just want to throw on a cap to run an errand. I have had the one same Diesel cap for so long now that I thought I had better pick up a new one. I found these two cheap-as-chips caps in Primark for £1.50 each. They have a slightly different hawaiian style symbol on each of them.

Left: White cap with grey/silver tropical flower

Right: Navy cap with white palm trees

Now on to my H&M goodies.

Navy

Grey

Light Stone With A Very Pale Green Undertone

Coral/Creamy White Leopard Print

These cotton skirts are all the same style with an elasticated waist. They are a nice length as they fall just above my knee. Ideal for work. I will wear them with blouses tucked in or a tight vest with a cardigan belted over the top.

Black

Canary Yellow

Peach

Stripey Creamy White, Peach, Black & Pink

All of these cotton shorts are the same style too. They have elasticated waists with a pocket on either side. I am not brave enough to wear these without tights, but I think they will look great on tanned/darker skin toned pins. If they were a bit longer I would want to wear them tights free with fake tan instead, but they fall a couple of inches lower than my butt and that's just not long enough for me. I will wear them with ballet pumps and a t-shirt or with a cardigan/vest combo.

I got these 8 items from H&M for just £51.93. I do love a bargain.

Have you picked up any bargains lately?

Love to you all
