MICELLAR CLEANSING WIPES & EYEBROW FIBRE GEL

Hello my loves. I have two fantabulous make-up/skincare products to talk to you about that will give you perfect brows and remove your make-up so much more quickly and easily.

I received these as a Xmas present and I have to say they are very well received. These wipes are perfect for make-up removal as they truly do take off everything including stubborn mascara. I still usually like to cleanse my face prior to using them while in the shower, but they do a perfectly good job on their own if you are in a rush or having a lazy day. They are perfect for sensitive skin and do not irritate my eyes. They are said to remove waterproof make-up although I haven't tested them on that. They have a ph balanced formula which they say tones the skin. I really do enjoy using these wipes. They feel so satisfying when removing make-up because I am assured all of it has been removed and they do make my skin feel great. Plus they are just £1 per pack at Superdrug!

I received this tube of happiness in my LIMITED EDITION KAREN MILLEN LONDON SKYLINE GLOSSYBOX. I have the shade medium/dark which is perfect for me. It is not too dark or warm, but a medium ash shade. The formula is fantastic to add a little more of a groomed look to my brows and keep them in place. The fibres do not fall onto my face and are not at all noticeable once applied giving a very natural yet put together brow shape and shade. This also comes in the shade light/medium which again appears to be quite cool toned so great for lighter haired beauties.

Share your favourite make-up removal and brow products in the comments below with reasons why you love them so much :)

NIVEA EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER & PRO-DERMA INNOVATIONS DAY CREAM

Hi everyone and Happy Friday. I hope everything is great for you all and that you are looking forward to the weekend. Today I have two mini product reviews for you.

INFO

A very efficient and mild cleanser/eye make-up remover that takes off even stubborn waterproof mascara without any rubbing to protect the lashes. Does not leave behind and greasy residue. Shake the bottle before use to mix up both parts of the solution and apply with a cotton wool pad to remove make-up. Suitable for contact lens wearers and all skin types.

MY THOUGHTS

The bottle has now changed shape, but the amount of product is still the same. Mine has a dent in the bottom right corner for some reason. I am usually a fan of Nivea products, but I have to say on this occasion I don't love this one. It is true that the formula is not greasy at all and leaves no residue behind. It does remove make-up, but it takes a lot of product and so I had to keep opening and closing the bottle mixing the liquid parts together. I tried not to rub my eyes and instead wipe as softly as I could, but as I had to keep applying more liquid and using more cotton pads the skin around my eye area did become irritated. I did unfortunately buy two of these at the time as there was a deal on, but I won't be buying this product again and would not recommend it as I found even removing regular mascara a struggle with this product.

INFO

A silky smooth lightweight day cream that helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while giving a youthful radiance.

MY THOUGHTS

I picked this up in the 99p Store. I needed a face moisturiser and thought why not give it a go. The formula is very lightweight indeed. The scent of this product is quite light too and very fresh. The texture of the cream sunk into my skin easily and the scent was great to wake me up each day. I did use this at night too though so don't think it will keep you awake if you are wanting to relax and settle down for the evening. I would not say I saw amazing results of anti-wrinkling, but my skin was left very soft and supple. I would buy this product again.

I hope you enjoyed these wee reviews. If you have any eye-makeup remover suggestions please leave them in the comments below along with great moisturisers for dry/mature skin.

DHC PORE CLEANSING OIL & PORE FACE WASH

Hello sweeties. I am back again today with a skincare review post of 2 DHC products that were sent to me to test for you.

As we age pores become enlarged making skin appear dull and uneven. To help minimise the appearance of pores cult Japanese brand DHC have added to their successful pore series range these 2 cleansers leaving the skin feeling clean, healthy and refreshed.

This cleansing oil removes make-up, dirt and excess sebum (oil) unclogging pores to make them less visible. This pumps out easily as a clear liquid. One pump covers my entire face and neck. I massaged it in with dry hands onto dry skin before showering it off.

You only need to use a small amount of the product from this tube for a full on soapy lather. It is said to feature 2 gentle exfoliants, but don't worry as there are no granules in the formula. I applied this after the cleansing oil. I really liked how it thoroughly cleansed my face and neck. Do be careful not to sniff with it near your nose though as it did feel a bit tingly and uncomfortable the first time I did just that, but I was just more careful when using there after.

Overall I really like this skincare combo. I fully admit that I do not have particularly enlarged pores, but I wanted to try these for their other benefits. Each time after use my face and neck felt thoroughly cleansed, free from dirt and make-up. I have dry skin by nature, but these did not leave my skin feeling tight or uncomfortable. The face wash does however have an effect of almost firming the skin so its smooth and taut, but still supple. This is why I believe anyone with enlarged pores would benefit from this pair. My only bad point I guess is that my eye make-up I had to remove separately. The packaging I think is a really nice change from the white most skincare brands tend to use with its baby blue hue.

NIVEA FACE WIPES

Hi lovelies. I have one post left to share with you today. This time a skincare review.

Use to remove dirt and make-up including waterproof mascara. Leaves skin cleansed, toned and hydrated. Suitable for dry and sensitive skin.

These were really good at removing dirt and make-up. My skin did feel cleansed and hydrated after use. The quality of these wipes are quite thick yet very malleable. I don't generally use waterproof mascara so I could not say how it would work for that. These had a lovely scent too.

For all skin types to cleanse, remove make-up and refresh the skin in one step.

These wipes worked just as well for me removing dirt and make-up thoroughly. They are very hydrating, cleansing and perhaps more refreshing. They have a real 'pick me up' scent. They are the same great quality as the wipes above.

To see my face wipe review for sensitive skin types from Nivea click here where there is also a further link to the refreshing and fragrance free wipes.

To purchase the Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes see here and for the Pure & Natural Refreshing Cleansing Wipes see here.

I hope you enjoyed this review. Let me know your Nivea favourites with reasons why in the comments below.

EUCERIN DERMATOCLEAN 3 IN 1 MICELLAR CLEANSING FLUID & EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER

Hi once again today beauties. I have been enjoying testing out a couple more skincare products recently which I want to share with you.

EUCERIN DERMATOCLEAN 3 IN 1 MICELLAR CLEANSING FLUID

Eucerin DermatoCLEAN Micellar Cleansing Fluid is an effective yet gentle 3 in 1 cleanser, toner and eye make-up remover. PH balanced for all skin types, including sensitive skin, it actively helps maintain skin’s moisture levels whilst sweeping away any oil, debris or make-up leaving skin purely cleansed and hydrated, allowing skin to breathe. Skin is left prepped for moisturiser or make-up.

This product was fantastic to use. With a cotton pad I swept the product around my face and neck to remove oils and dirt and if I had worn it make-up. It felt pure and clean on the skin like water without any residue. It was good at removing mascara too although waterproof mascara needed a little more help.

EUCERIN DERMATOCLEAN EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER

Eucerin DermatoCLEAN Eye Make-Up Remover removes even stubborn waterproof eye make-up helping provide a clean slate for your skin to breathe. Effective without being harsh or drying on the sensitive eye area, it is also suitable for contact lens wearers.

This did work very well at completely removing waterproof mascara without being harsh.

I would totally recommend both of these products. I love the convenience of the Micellar Cleansing Fluid as I don't usually wear waterproof mascara and it's a cleanser as well as a toner so no need for separate products.

These products are suitable for all skin types, but sensitive skins should definitely try these products out. They are free of fragrance, alcohol, and anionic surfactants.

CLEANSING TIPS!
1. KEEP IT SIMPLE
Gentle is best. Although it may feel good to scrub your skin until it shines, keep in mind that the oils you’re scrubbing off are part of what keeps your skin healthy. While it’s true that exfoliating dead skin cells is important, they also form the barrier between your dermis (the under part of your skin) and the outside world. Plus sebum, the oil your skin produces, guards against skin cells’ dehydration, so try to exfoliate no more than 1-2 times per week.
2. MAKE IT A RITUAL
It's so important to remove make-up and cleanse your skin after a long day. To ensure you always do it, make a ritual of removing your make-up each night. When you are really tired or simply don’t have time, Eucerin DermatoCLEAN 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Fluid will make the job quicker and easier for you.
3. SWEEP IT AWAY
When using cotton pads to cleanse the face, sweep in small circular motions upwards and outwards to increase circulation and leave your skin looking radiant. Apply a small amount of Eucerin DermatoCLEAN Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Fluid and gently sweep over the skin from the centre of your face towards the hairline. Remember don’t rub too hard.
4. LET IT BREATHE
Even after a big night out, don’t forget to remove your make-up, your skin will thank you for it the next day! Although it’s tempting to fall straight into bed, the Eucerin DermatoCLEAN Eye Make-Up Remover makes it quick, easy and effective to take away all remnants of your eye make-up leaving it fresh for the next day.
Eucerin products are available at Boots.
These products were sent to me for review purposes.

Pond's Institute Cold Cream Cleanser

Hi loves and Happy Fathers Day to all those celebrating it today. This afternoon I am here to talk about a multi-tasking skincare product that was sent to me for free to test and review for you.

This cleansing product removes dirt and make-up deep down while hydrating your skin. It's such a versatile product that left my skin feeling and looking very glowing and radiant as well as moisturised and plumped.

The ways in which I used this product:

As a cleanser/make-up remover ~ With a cotton pad I manoeuvred the cream around my skin.

As a moisturiser ~ I massaged the product in with my fingers and my toning wand.

As a face mask/gentle exfoliation ~ I applied it all over my face and neck and after a minute or so used a warm wet face cloth to remove the product.

As a highlight ~ I dotted some onto my cheekbones for a highlight effect.

It can also be used to set the brows.

This cream has a very softening effect on the skin with a comforting old fashioned scent. The texture is not loose, but not too sturdy either. I am so glad that I got to try out this cult product. I can see why celebs such as Kylie Minogue are a fan.

Suitable for all skin types I would certainly recommend this product. When using this as a cleanser without removing make-up I didn't feel the need to moisturise afterwards so it's great for those always in a rush or on their travels.

As it keeps skin so plumped and smoothed I think it's a great anti-ageing product. My only negative is that if you apply it and don't wear any make-up it can look very reflective on the skin. This doesn't bother me, but it's something I thought I should point out.

I have linked to Tesco above as this product is currently selling for £3.00. It is also available to purchase at Boots, Sainsbury's & Superdrug.

What are your favourite cleansers? Let me know with reasons why in the comments below.

Facial Skincare Reviews

Hi beauties. Today I am going to get straight into this post as I have many facial skincare reviews for you.

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover ~ £17.00 for 125ml

Winner of the SHE Magazine Beauty Awards 2011 for Best Eye Makeup RemoverThis 50ml bottle I won in a charity raffle at work. I really like this make-up remover which can be used on lids, lashes and lips. It easily removes any stubborn makeup without stinging sensitive areas such as the eyes. Suitable for contact lens wearers although I can't imagine removing my make-up with my lenses in. I simply give the bottle a shake, apply to a cotton pad and rub gently on the area to remove all traces of make-up. The lid design now appears to have changed, but I have not heard that the formula is any different.

Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream ~ £18.50 for 100ml

Suitable for all skin types. I picked up this product with an issue of Glamour Magazine. This is a cream exfoliator that is fragrance free. I used this in the shower twice a week after my face wash. It worked well enough, but I wouldn't say that it made such a difference that I would buy it full price.

Dermalogica Age Smart Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque ~ £34.50 for 74ml

I received this product in my October 2011 GlossyBox. I really did enjoy using this masque. I applied this in quite a thick layer to a cleansed face and neck 1-2 times a week and left it on for 15 mins. When I washed it off with a soft flannel and warm water my skin felt really smooth and pampered. This masque is meant for ageing, stressed and damaged skin. My skin was plumped, glowy and youthful looking after using this product.

Dermalogica Total Eye Care ~ £37.90 for 15ml

I received this sample size at an event. The product had a skin tone shade to it, but when absorbed into the skin that disappeared. I did like applying this product that contains SPF15 because of the texture. I don't really suffer with dark circles so I can't comment on how it affects those. I don't really have bad fine lines yet either. The puffiness that usually appears however around my eyes I did not find reduced by this product.

Coola Organic Suncare Collection Mineral Face SPF 20 Rose Essence Tint ~ Various prices and sizes on Amazon

I received this product in my July 2013 GlossyBox. I didn't love the rose scent of this product when applying it, but I didn't hate it either. Once applied I never really noticed it anyway. This gave a lovely healthy looking glow to my skin, but it was just a tad too orange for me. Water resistant (40 mins).

Caudalie Divine Oil ~ Choice of size and price

I received this product in my May 2013 GlossyBox. This product was divine indeed. I did try it on my hair and body, but I loved savouring it for the evenings to smooth over my cleansed face and neck. I massaged it in thoroughly inhaling the scent which made me feel deeply relaxed.

Vichy Idelia Life Serum ~ Various stockists

Vichy Idelia Smoothing and Illuminating Cream ~ Various stockists

These Vichy products I received in my November 2013 GlossyBox. They felt nice enough on my skin when applied. Very glowing, healthy and youthful in appearance. Once the product had sunk in thoroughly though I wouldn't say that I noticed any dramatic difference.

So that's all of my latest facial skincare reviews. I hope that you found at least one of them useful. Let me know your favourites and why in the comments below. Have a great Sunday!

Love to you all

High Flyers GlossyBox

Hi there loves. Today I have my latest GlossyBox products to show you. This box is named High Flyers as it includes items for us girls during our summer travels.

Urban Veda Purifying Exfoliating Facial Polish, £8.99 for 125ml

To be used for a deep cleanse, removing impurities, treating blackheads, reducing excess sebum, tightening pores and leaving skin hydrated.

Apply to a wet face, massage using gentle circular movements, and rinse with cold water to tighten pores and help mattify excessive shine.

This is for oil-prone skin and mine is dry, but I will still try this out. The granules in this scrub feel very fine on my hand. The scent is almost medicated, but in a purifying way. The packaging is green on the website so I guess the design has changed?

Emite Make Up Eyelash Curler, Approx £20.00

Developed with professional make-up artists this tool has a special curved design to suit all eye shapes, without touching your make-up base.

Insert lashes close to the lash line and press to curl. Use before mascara,

This feels very well made and it's great that it comes with three replacement pads.

Jelly Pong Pong 2-In-1 Black Shadow/Liner, £10.50

Doubles as an eyeliner for thick, precise lines as well as a perfectly blended eye shadow. This also comes in shades of plum, bronze and steel.

This is a very deeply pigmented black eye crayon. I think this will be great for smudgy liner looks and hopefully as a great shadow/base too.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Concentrated Rinse Off Treatment, £1.49 for 15ml from Superdrug, Boots, Tesco & Waitrose.

Apply once a week to damaged parts of shampooed and rinsed hair, avoiding roots. Leave for 60 seconds and rinse well.

I like that this is a quick treatment as not everyone has time for products to work.

Oceane Makeup Remover Pen, Not yet available in the UK

A make-up touch up/remover solution.

Shake before removing lid. Replace tip if needed.

I tried this out on the Jelly Pong Pong swatch above and it did take a bit of work, but it pretty much removed it all. I think this sounds like a good idea in theory, but I am just not sure if you will end up making a make-up mistake look worse by removing or smudging other parts of your make-up like foundation. I think it would have been handy if the extra tips came in some sort of separate packaging so that when you open this product they have somewhere to be stored. Especially if this is meant for on the go use.

I think this is a great box this month. I am a little disappointed that I have another product for oily skin instead of dry though.

For more information on GlossyBox UK click here. The US box can be found here.

Which products did you receive in this month's GlossyBox? Are you pleased with them? Let me know with your reasons in the comments below.

Nivea Facial Cleansing Wipes

Hello loves and Happy Sunday. I hope you are looking forward to a beautifully chilled day. Today I want to talk about some facial cleansing wipes from Nivea.

Top: Nivea Daily Essentials Refreshing Alcohol Free Facial Cleansing Wipes For Normal & Combination Skin, link

Bottom: Nivea Daily Essentials Fragrance Free Facial Cleansing Wipes For All Skin Types, link

Now I have been a fan of the Bioré Make-Up Removing Wipes for some time. I even use them just to remove dirt and refresh my skin. I previously reviewed those here. You can pick them up from Superdrug for £3.99, link. I do tend to buy those in bulk as they seem to sell out easily, but on a day when I needed some facial wipes and they were sold out I thought I would give these a go. I picked up one from Superdrug and the other from Morrisions. They both have the same kind of mesh design as the Bioré wipes which I love. I love it because it feels like more dirt and make-up gets removed when massaged over the face and neck. The refreshing pack has a baby product type of scent which I like too. I have dry skin, but both of these are fine for me. I use a face wash or scrub in the shower along with these and sometimes a liquid or cream cleanser/make-up remover too to make sure that my skin is as clean as can be. These both come with 25 wipes per pack just like the Bioré wipes. At Superdrug these are both currently priced £1.52 each with a usual price of £3.05. Check out the links above. I see that there is also a pack for Dry/Sensitive skin at the same price, link so I will try those out next.

Do you like these new mesh design facial wipes? Do you use them alone or along with other skin products to cleanse and remove make-up/dirt? Let me know in the comments below.

August 2012 GlossyBox: International Superstars

Hey there loves. Have you had a good week? I do hope so. I have been doing the usual work etc, but I did go out to lunch on Thursday with work colleagues and friends as someone is retiring and wanted to treat us all. We were all very thankful. The meal was scrumptious. I had feta and spinach parcels with mango chutney, pork medallions with potatoes, onions, carrots, runner beans and cauliflower cheese. This was all finished off with toffee and walnut ice cream. The walk back to work was a slow one. Myself and a few others did walk back up 9 flights of stairs in an attempt to work some of it off, ha ha ;)

Now let me get on to today's post. This month's GlossyBox is named International Superstars as this box contains products from around the world.

Left To Right:

Alessandro Pro White, £7.85 for 10ml

My nails are always yellow stained because I always wear nail polish and don't give the nails a chance to breath. I will give this a try to see if this will help. I do wonder if it is okay to wear under nail polish as a base coat because I don't really like not wearing polish because of the yellow staining. If anyone knows please advise :)

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, £18.50 for 200ml

I always like to try out new cleanser/make-up removers so I hope this works well. I can't smell anything with this oil. Please note that this product says to apply to dry skin with dry hands. Do not add water to this product until ready to rinse off.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure, £7.99 for a colour or £8.99 for a pattern (24 nails)

I must say I was very excited when I saw these in my GlossyBox as I have heard good things about them. I love that they actually come in what looks like a nail polish bottle. These seem very simple to apply. You just choose the right sizes for your nails, cleanse your natural nails with the enclosed prep pad, peel off the backing and press firmly. There are 12 sizes of nails in the pack. These nails are said to last up to a week. To remove gently peel from the sides or apply polish remover around edges, wait 1 minute and peel off. I love the shade I have. It's a glossy purple named Velvet Rope.

Vera Valenti L'ombre a Paupiere Margarita, £3.85 for the palette

When I first saw this palette I thought how sweet a flower design and it has a mirror which is ace, but when I swatched it I was a little disappointed.

I have swatched this as it appears in the palette. The three bottom left shades are okay, but the rest I could leave to be honest. A few of them barely show up and the brown shade on the middle right didn't show up at all. A bit of a shame, but 3 out of 10 shades are not too bad I suppose when the palette is only £3.85. If I had swatched this in store I wouldn't have picked this up though because I like my eye shadows quite pigmented and these are quite powdery too. Especially the paler shades.

Lipcote, £3.99 for 7ml

I have bought this product before in the past so it's nothing new to me. It is basically a sealant that you put over the top of your lip colour to prevent bleeding, keep your colour for longer and make it water resistant. In the past I have found this can work, but my lips get very dry so I think this can dry them out if I use it too often. Don't take my word on this for now though because it's a long time since I have tried it and the formula may not be the same. I will give it a go and let you know.

GlossyBox Lipstick In Glossy Pink, £9.50 for 4g

This lipstick was created with make-up brand Kryolan. This is meant to be an everyday lipstick and I think it really is. In fact I think this could easily take you from day to night.

This feels very creamy and smooth on swatching. This a very pretty, feminine, just bold enough shade of pink that would suit everyone in my opinion. I am really excited to try this out.

So that's everything in this month's box. I am really pleased with it. The lipstick and the imPRESS nails are the stand out products for me so far.

June 2012 Empties

Hi there loves. I hope your weekend has been great so far. Today I want to get straight into this post as I have a lot of empty products that I have used up in June. Here is a brief review of them all.

Handy Wipes, Cotton Pads, Eye Make-Up Remover, Collagen Filler & Face Cream

Left To Right:

Me To You 80 Handy Wipes Orange Scented ~ £1.00

Previously reviewed here.

2 x Johnson's Baby Cotton Pads ~ 99p Each Pack

Previously reviewed here.

Pure Revitalising Eye Make-Up Remover ~ £1.00

Previously reviewed here.

Superdrug Optimum Line Decrease Collagen Filler

I think this product is usually around £7.00, but I can't find it on the Superdrug website. I got it a bit cheaper at the time though. I wanted to try a different face serum so I gave this a go. It is said to smooth wrinkles and fill in fine lines. It directs you to use it morning and night on cleansed skin. My routine is to use a face wash in the shower, face scrub (twice a week only), then use a cleanser/make-up remover, toner, face serum and finally a moisturiser. Unfortunatley this didn't really do anything for me. It has a pleasent neutral scent and is a nice cream, but I noticed absolutley no difference to my lines and wrinkles.

I received this product in my May GlossyBox. This was a nice cream to use, but it's just not the type of scent that appeals to me.

Bath/Shower Gel, Bubble Bath, Body Scrub & Cotton Buds

Left To Right:

Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath & Shower Gel, £20.00 for 250ml on nobleisle.com

I received this in my May GlossyBox where you can see my thoughts.

Hello Kitty Liberty Bath Bubbles x 2

I received these 200ml/75ml bottles at Xmas time. You can find that post here. I love the scent and the packaging of these products. Just adorable. Unfortunately these were only available around Xmas time at Boots, but you may be able to search for them on Ebay or Amazon.

Soap & Glory Flake Away ~ Various Prices On ebay.co.uk

I received this product for Xmas too. That post is here. Although I like the scent of this product I don't like the way it feels when I apply it. I can feel the sweet almond oil in it. It's a little sticky and bitty. It makes me skin feel like it's getting a little warm. Not irritated or anything though.

Johnson's 200 Cotton Buds ~ £1.00 at tesco.com

I always throw the lids away on these so that's why it's not in my photo. These are just handy to use for make-up touch ups and to clean my ears. Nice huh!

Body Spray, Body Butter, Shimmer Gel & Fragrance/Perfume

Left To Right:

Hello Kitty Liberty Body Spray

I received this in my Xmas gifts. That post is here. Again this was available in Boots at Xmas time, but you may be able to find it on Ebay or Amazon. The packaging and scent are lovely, but the spray bottle stopped working half way through using it which was annoying.

Gorgeous By Gok Rich Moisturising Body Butter x 2

These products I again received for Xmas, Link. Most people I know know I love this range. The packaging is so girly I just love it, but it's the scent that really gets me. It's quite rich and warming. You could go out without perfume or body spray if you apply this because the scent of this cream is gorgeous enough on it's own. I am not a fan of body butters because they get under my nails, but that wasn't a problem until I neared the end of the jars. This range again has been out only at Xmas exclusive to Boots, but it has come out for the last two years so I will be asking for more from the range if it's out again this Xmas. There are lots of links for this on Ebay so have a search if you fancy it.

Avon Spotlight Moisturising Shimmer Gel

I purchased this product in an Avon sale for 75p. You can see that post here. This gel has silver shimmers which look pretty in the sunlight, but make sure to wash your hands after applying it or everything will have shimmer on it. I am not bothered by the scent, but it is just a little bit chemically. I could not find this on the Avon website, but I found it on ebay.co.uk for 99p.

Please see my May GlossyBox post for my initial thoughts on this scent, Link. This is so gorgeous I really do want a bottle. Maybe I will put it on my Xmas wishlist this year.

Floss, Hand Cream & 2 x Foundation

Left To Right:

Boots Dental Floss ~ £1.89 for 50m

I have been using this product for ages. I like to floss every evening and this works fine.

Soap & Glory Hand Food

I think I received this product at Xmas time. I have purchsed this many times before as I like the scent. This tube however smelt a little pasty and was a bit watery so I think I had a dud one. I found this on ebay.co.uk for various prices.

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum SPF 15 (Light Ivory 40)

This is one of if not the best foundation I have tried so far. The only problem for me is that this shade is a little too light and the shade Natural 50 that was sent to me for free was a little too dark. You can see my review of shade Natural 50 here. I did make this shade Light Ivory 40 work a little better for me however by mixing it with my Eyeko Tinted Cream, but I found I used more product this way. There are so many links on Ebay for this where you can find a price to suit you.

Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation (Creamy Ivory 40)

I love how compact this product is. I bought this at the same time that I bought the other foundation above when Boots were having a 3 for 2 as I was curious about it. The shade is quite light, but it matches ever so slightly better than the foundation above. The texture of this product is creamy and smooth. It was so easy to apply this with the sponge provided. The sponge worked really well without leaving any streaks on my face. The jar was very hard to twist open on my very first use, but once opened it was fine. I plan on keeping this to put tester foundations in and I will keep the sponge as it works so well. This is a brilliant product if you just can't be bothered with spending more than two minutes if that applying your foundation. Mum's on the go please note. My only downfall with this is it did show up dry patches on my forehead and eyebrows. If you are prone to dry skin like me you may not like it for that reason. This gives light to medium coverage. I found this on lloydspharmacy.com for £12.99 and cosmetics-skincare.co.uk for just £6.99.

The products I would buy in the future:

Me To You 80 Handy Wipes Orange Scented

Johnson's Baby Cotton Pads

 Johnson's 200 Cotton Buds

Lolita Lempicka Eau de Parfum

 Boots Dental Floss

Soap & Glory Hand Food

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum SPF 15 (Light Ivory 40)

Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation (Creamy Ivory 40)

So that's the lot people. I hope you found these reviews helpful. Which products have you been loving and loathing in June?

Love to you all

May 2012 Empties

Hello Gorgeous. Yeah that's all of you. I really want to get into this post straight away today as I have so many products to talk about. I am going to share with you my thoughts on the products I used up in May.

Face Wash, Make-Up Removers, Face Serum & Face Cream

Left To Right:

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, £18.40 for 197ml

This product came in my October Feelunique Beauty Box, Link. This face wash smells like bubblegum which I love. The exfoliating beads didn't do much for me so I used this purely as a face wash.

Bioré Make-Up Removing Wipes

I need to get some more of these. I received these for free to review. You can find my review post here. The regular price for a pack of 25 wipes was £3.99 from Superdrug, but I have never seen them in my local store and I can no longer find them on the Superdrug website. Do any of you lovelies know where I can find them? Please help as they make me skin feel sooooooo smooth.

Taaj Himalaya Micellar Water, £16.97 for 500ml

I received this product in my February JolieBox, Link. This was an okay make-up remover. Just enough came out of the top when tipped onto a cotton wool pad. It's a bit too herbally for me as I started thinking about marinating something every time I used it. Just not for me. The last time I used this I managed to slice my finger quite badly by closing the lid which is now just healing :(

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum, £26.10 for 30ml

I received this product in my April GlossyBox, Link. This was a bit too runny for me. I prefer more of a thicker face serum.

Tropic Skincare Skin Revive, £15.95 for 50ml

I received this product in my April JolieBox, Link. This was a nice enough cream to use on my face, but I am still undecided on whether or not I like the scent.

Multi-tasker, Shower Washes & Body Exfoliation

Left To Right:

DR Bronner's Magic Liquid Soap, £3.14 - £11.69 for 118ml - 944ml

I received this product in my February GlossyBox, Link. This can be used in a number of ways, but I only used it for three. As a toothpaste it is awful. It literally is brushing your teeth with liquid soap. Horrible! As a hand wash it was okay. I used this mostly as a shower wash. It is refreshing because of the peppermint, but do be careful when washing down below as it's extremely tingly. You have been warned!

Marks & Spencer La Maison de Senteurs Body Wash, £3.50 for 200ml

I received this product as a Xmas present from a friend, Link. I love this baby soft scent which I am a sucker for.

Rituals Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel Sensation, £6.50 for 200ml

I received this product in my December GlossyBox, Link. This foaming shower gel has such a gorgeous scent. So sensual and sexy.

Yardley Luxury Body Wash (English Lavender), £2.63 for 200ml

I received this product in my March JolieBox, Link. This was okay to use and has quite a spa relaxing scent to it.

Beyonce Heat Pearl Exfoliating Shower Gel

I bought this as part of a gift set in the January 2011 sales from ASOS. I love the scent of this. It's very warm and sensual. The exfoliating beads didn't do anything in the way of exfoliation for me so I used a separate body exfoliator. If you Google this product there are a few links for it, but you may want to purchase the gift set if you really like the scent.

Body Scrub, Shave Gel & Anti-Perspirant Deodorants

Left To Right:

Primark Ooh La SPA DO NOT DISTURB Salt Scrub

I really like the style of this jar. I think the rubber seal shown tucked behind the jar was purely to keep the product sealed in before opening as I never put it back after opening it. I think this was only a couple of pounds at the time, but I bought it so long ago. I don't think they sell this anymore, sorry. This did feel really nice to use though. It's a kind of sugar scrub. I do like the fresh scent of this too.

Gillette Satin Care Floral Passion Shave Gel, £3.25 for 200ml, $19.59 for a pack of six 7 ounce cans

I received this as part of my Xmas goodies, Link. I usually always buy the Gillete shave gels as I like how they feel on my skin. The scent of this product is floral but quite subtle.

Superdrug Essential Anti-Perspirant Deodorant

One of the products I received as part of my Xmas gifts, Link. The other can I purchased myself. I have previously reviewed this here. This is not shown on the Superdrug website, but I think it's around 69p for a 200ml can.

Body Creams & Scents

Left To Right:

Beyonce Heat Gold Sparkling Body Lotion

I bought this as part of the gift set that I mentioned earlier in this post. This has the same sensual scent. The gold sparkle in this product is very subtle.

Baylis & Harding England Skin Spa Body Butter, £14.99 for the Drawer Set

I received this as part of a gift set for my birthday, Link. This has a pretty rose, ylang ylang & patchouli scent. This was a nice cream to use. I would say it is more of a cream than a body butter as it has a looser consistency than a lot of body butters.

Hello Kitty Liberty Body Butter

I received this product as part of my Xmas gifts, Link. I previously reviewed this product here. This range was Limited Edition at Boots around Xmas time, but you may be able to find this on Ebay or Amazon.

Barbie Fab Floral Spritz, £3.10 for 100ml

I purchased this product from Avon, Link in October. I think the bottle is so cute and so pink, yay :) This was nice enough to use. I may keep the bottle to fill with water when I want to spray my make-up brushes to apply pigments.

Lolita Lempicka L'Eau en Blanc, £49.00 - £65.00 for 50ml / 100ml

I received this product in my May GlossyBox. Check out this Link for my thoughts on this product.

Fendi Fan Di Fendi Eau De Toilette, $67.00 for 1.7oz, £33.95 for 30ml / £57.00 for 75ml

I received this product in my March GlossyBox. You can check out this Link to see my thoughts on this scent.

Toothpaste, Lip Salves, Hand Creams & Foundation

Left To Right:

Macleans Total Health Toothpaste, £2.13 for 100ml

My Mum picked this up for me and it tastes fine. I prefer to buy whitening toothpastes, but Mum picked up the wrong one. I forgive you Mum. I prefer flip top lids on toothpaste though. I want to try some of the Crest White Strips so if you know the best place to order them please let me know and which ones out of the range work best for you.

Lip Lishuss! Vanilla Scent Lip Balm

I received this product in a pack of two as part of my Xmas gifts, Link. I have no idea where you can buy Lip Lishuss! products. This product is too vanilla for me. It is a lotion consistency with granules. I don't like how it feels applying it to my lips.

LP Skin Therapy (Lip Rescue Gel), £15.00 for 8ml

I received this product in my July GlossyBox, Link. When I first received this product I really liked it because of the orange scent and the doe foot applicator, but my boyfriend has been hating this. He doesn't like the way this feels on my lips and I kind of know what he means. It coats your lips with a kind of rubbery barrier and is no good at all if you want to apply any lip products over the top as they just won't adhere to your lips with this on. This has lasted ages though.

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Hand Lotion, £4.25 for 250ml

I really like the scent of this. It's a very calming spa aroma. The pump design is what really attracted me to this product. I had used the Body Lotion from this range for such a long time, but for some reason it started reacting badly to my skin. Other products in this range that I had already bought seem okay at the moment though.

Arbonne FC5 Ultra-Hydrating Hand Creme

I received this item in my November GlossyBox, Link. This product felt so nice to use and the tube seemed to last forever. The tube is a little bland, but the product makes up for it. I would Google this product if you are interested in purchasing it as there are lots of links with various prices/sizes for it.

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum SPF 15 - Natural 50, £12.99 for 30ml from Boots or Superdrug

I received this product for free and I have previously reviewed it here. My boyfriend commented about a month ago that I was looking a bit orange with this on so I went for the lighter shade of Light Ivory, but it's a bit too light for even me. My boss actually asked me if I was feeling okay the first time I wore it as I looked so pale. I have been mixing it with my Eyeko Tinted Cream and I think it works better.

The products I would buy in the future are:

Bioré Make-Up Removing Wipes

Marks & Spencer La Maison de Senteurs Body Wash

Rituals Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel Sensation

Primark Ooh La SPA DO NOT DISTURB Salt Scrub

Gillette Satin Care Floral Passion Shave Gel

Superdrug Essential Anti-Perspirant Deodorant

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Hand Lotion

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum SPF 15

So that's all of my May Empties. I hope you found this post useful. Which products have you been loving and loathing in May?

Love to you all
