GlossyBox Be Mine

Hi there gorgeous people. If you celebrated Valentines Day yesterday I hope you had fun. If you didn't what fabulous things did you get up to? We bought lots of needed items for our home during the day. In the evening I had a relaxing bath then enjoyed a Chinese takeaway and a drink or two with my fella while watching a movie. Perfect!

Anyway, on to today's post. This morning my GlossyBox arrived so I thought I would show you my products straight away.

Delicate light reflecting shimmer particles are suspended in this unique moisturising gel containing Mallow extract, Vitamin E and Wheatgerm Oil. Available in Tuberose & Jasmine, Fig & Pink Cedar, Cherry Blossom and Peony.

Shake before use. Apply to desired areas to add radiance and wash hands thoroughly after use.

I received the Cherry Blossom fragrance of this product. The top is sealed right now so I will let you know more about my thoughts on this when I come to use it.

High quality re-usable false lashes that come with a re-usable lash glue.

Trim to size, apply the glue to the lash band waiting for it to get tacky. Then press onto your natural lash line.

These look like very natural lashes with a very delicate band that will hopefully blend seamlessly in with my natural lashes.

Described as a soft yet striking nail shade that is a pink red.

Apply two coats followed by a top coat to seal the deal.

This is a lovely shade that really is a pink red. Great for days when you are on the fence between to two. This will be my next manicure for sure.

Calms frizz and creates silky, smooth touchable hair. Hair is cleansed and moisturised, leaving it shiny, easy to manage and tangle-free.

This ultra-rich conditioner calms frizz and creates silky, smooth, touchable hair.

A rich, leave in hair conditioner, 2-in-1 treatment and styling serum that protects hair from heat and locks moisture to leave hair beautifully soft and shiny.

Giovanni Eco Chic Cosmetics is the no.1 selling natural organic hair care brand in the US. These appear to be very nourishing products for both the hair and scalp with natural ingredients including Moroccan argan oils, avocado and papaya.

Creamy feeling, full coverage nude shades from this brand new collection.

The packaging reminds me instantly of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. The lipstick smells sweet like toffee or caramel. The shade I would actually describe as toffee too. I think this is a very wearable neutral shade that will suit most skin tones, but for a Valentines box I think a more pink, red or purple toned lipstick would have been better suited. I really love the shades on the GlossyBox packaging so maybe something like one of those?

Also available at Tesco, Sainsburys and main convenience stores. This is Lindt's most famous chocolate, Lindor.

Well what can I say it's chocolate, yum!

In my opinion GlossyBox have upped their game this month. I am looking forward to indulging in all of these products.

Festive Treasures GlossyBox & NOTD

Hi there sweeties. Xmas is just over a week away and I still have so much to do, but one thing that always relieves any stress is the arrival of my GlossyBox :) This months box is a fab one so let me show you the products.

Loving the Xmas theme!

A natural mineral formula free from harsh chemicals and rich in jojoba oil. Non sticky, long lasting and tastes great. Cruelty free and BUAV approved. Suitable for vegetarians.

My thoughts:

This is obviously a very natural lip gloss. It doesn't feel sticky at all. It's texture feels quite creamy and nourishing actually. I am not sure how long it will last on the lips as I have only just applied it. I wouldn't say it tastes good or bad. I think this shade is so neutral that it will suit all skin tones and could be worn over any lipstick due to it's milky, nude glossy shade.

A cream gel formula that is fade and crease resistant. Long lasting vibrant and shimmery shades.

My thoughts:

I have always wanted to try one of these Maybelline Color Tattoos, but for some reason never actually picked one up. This shade looks fantastic and I can't wait to try it out. I think it will look superb when paired with the lip gloss above too. Now that this swatch has dried on my hand I have to say that this shadow is pretty resistant to budging. I had to really rub it with my finger to see the tiniest specs flake from it, but lets face it who is going to rub over their eyes so harshly. I will store this upside down to stop it drying out as quickly. A good tip for cream and gel eye formulas!

A 3 in 1 razor that lathers, moisturises and shaves. 100% natural aloe and enriched vitamin E to moisturise. The packaging is natural too. Pivoting head design to smooth around body contours. Indicator lets you know when to replace blades. Fragrance free.

Wet the conditioning solid to activate. Keep skin and razor wet as you shave and press gently.

My thoughts:

I find the thought of shaving without applying a gel or cream first a little weird, but I am happy to try this as it saves the need for another product.

One coat coverage with a satin smooth finish that dries quickly.

Apply a base coat, apply one or two coats of the Seche Nail Lacquer and a top coat.

My thoughts:

Here I have applied a base coat, two coats of the Seche Nail Lacquer, my E.L.F. nail polish in Twinkle and my nail drying spray. Here is a link to this Seche shade on the Seche website so that you can see the colour better. I applied this on Saturday and it lasted until Monday when I did 4 hours of housework. It probably would have lasted better with the Seche Dry Fast Top Coat, but cleaning the house always chips my nails no matter what I use.

This full size Eau de toilette comes in a heart shaped, black jewelled bottle.

The scent combines fruity honey and sweet top notes, the heart notes complement with Orchid, Jasmine and Peony and the base notes are deep with Amarylis and black incense.

My thoughts:

This is my first Lipsy fragrance. I do like the bottle design, but I do not have a bottle to show you so you will have to look in the link above. It looks so much like the design of the Diesel Loverdose Tattoo fragrance. I am not sure who brought theirs out first though. Although both fragrances contain jasmine the other ingredients seem to be different. I do like this scent. It's a little deeper than other Edt I have tried which I like as I prefer a stronger scent. I can smell the fruity honey, but it does have a sensual, deep base.

So far I have been very impressed by this box. For more information on GlossyBox UK check this link and for the US GlossyBox see this link.

Maybelline WhiteStay UV Whitening Foundation SPF 18

Hi there sweeties. I hope you are all having a great weekend. Today I have a foundation review for you of two shades that I picked up.

Maybelline WhiteStay UV Whitening Foundation SPF 18 in Left: C00 Snow White & Right: W01 True Ivory

I originally picked up the shade Snow White thinking it was a white foundation to lighten any foundations that I have or get in the future that I find too dark for my skin. I put some on my hand and realised this was not the case. I then saw the shade True Ivory and thought why not try both to see if one is better than the other for my skin tone.

As above

Blended slightly

As you can see the shade on the left (Snow White) is a pink cool tone and the shade on the right (True Ivory) is a warm yellow tone.

The information:

Maybelline WhiteStay UV instantly lightens your skin tone upon application.

SPF18 UV filters.

Combines the dual step of sunscreen & foundation.

It brightens your skin instantly, leaves behind an almost flawless finish and conceals pores.

It does not look cakey, making it suitable for day-wear.

Application:

Shake to activate the white bead. Dot on face and neck. Smooth with upward and outward strokes until blended.

My thoughts:

I found both of these shades didn't actually look too different when applied to my skin. This is because there was not much coverage to these foundations. I would say these are light in the level of coverage and almost see through.

They did not wear well throughout the day as they went quite patchy too. The formula is very runny so be careful when pouring out. I only used these a few times so I can't say for sure about the lightening effect on the skin.

I would not say that these foundations give a flawless finish or conceal pores. If you want to cover blemishes or an uneven skin tone these foundations are not for you.

The only use I can maybe find for them is to lighten or lengthen the use of other foundations that I have.

Online I see that there are other shades of Nude, Natural Ivory and Buff. I would try those out too, but as I don't like the product overall it seems pretty pointless to try those shades. I am glad that these were only 99p each from the 99p Store though so it's not a big fail money wise I guess.

Have you tried these Maybelline foundations before? If yes, how did they work for you? Are there any other Maybelline foundations that you can recommend? Let me know in the comments below.

Love to you all
