NIVEA WINTER ESSENTIALS

Hello lovelies. I have a range of Nivea Winter Essentials to share with you that I have been sent to test out over the last few weeks so here are my reviews :)

For normal skin. This is a very lightweight formula with a refreshingly creamy scent of sea minerals and blue lotus. This I preferred out of the three in formula because it so quickly absorbed and kept me moisturised all day long.

For dry skin. This has a non-greasy formula offering soft and supple skin all day long. There is no obvious scent to it. It does a great job, but takes just a bit longer to work as it's a little more intensive.

For dry skin. This formula is much more dense than the other two. It has that classic Nivea packaging as well as scent. It works really well to nourish and moisturise the skin also.

I would definitely rate each of these products, especially for people like myself who have dry sometimes itchy skin that needs intensive moisturisation.

For dry hands. A fast absorbing hand and nail cream for a softening and smoothing effect. I am loving this hand cream. It adds a really nourishing boost every time I apply it and I love the macadamia nut oil scent.

I have previously reviewed the RASPBERRY ROSE scent which I absolutely loved. Recently though my lips have been a bit in turmoil and I felt needed something very neutral. I have been using the ORIGINAL lip butter and OMG it has been a lifesaver. My lips are in the best condition they have been in ages. As you can see these also come in amazing scents such as BLUEBERRY BLUSH, VANILLA & MACADAMIA and CARAMEL linked above.

So for nourishing reliable products to take you through winter these should be on your radar.

Let me know your Nivea winter skincare essentials with reasons why in the comments below.

NIVEA'S ULTIMATE SUMMER SURVIVAL BEAUTY KIT

Hi lovelies. I'm back after a wee break from my full time job and blogging. I am back now fully refreshed and able to write posts with enthusiasm.

Nivea have put together an 'Ultimate Summer Survival Beauty Kit' which I have been trying products from over the lasts few weeks and want to share with you now.

So lets talk products ...........

This water resistant product has been formulated specially for the face containing natural plant extract to help activate the skin's natural tanning process so that even pale people like myself can gain a healthy glow while still being protected. This has a very lightweight, non-greasy formula perfect for hot summer days and nights.

Designed to provide intensive moisture for up to 12 hours. The scent of this lip butter is amazing. It's like candy for the lips without the calories, ha ha. By nature I am not a massive fan of lip butters in tins as I prefer to use a stick, but I have to admit that my lips have not peeled or chapped once since using this product. They feel so smooth and nourished. Raspberry Rose gives a very subtle, yet flattering shade to the lips. A baby pink milky tone that is great for every day wear. I tried it yesterday under a nude/concealer shade lipstick that I usually find hard to wear and it made it look fabulous. There was no obvious creases or patchiness and it didn't look unnatural on me like those shades tend to do.

In summer I think we all tend to be a little more active and just want to get outside as quickly as possible to enjoy the summer sun. These wipes are great to refresh the skin while removing dirt and make-up. The mesh design removes a little more product and dirt I feel than regular face wipes. They have a lovely scent too. I have also reviewed Nivea face wipes from this range for other skin types which you can see here!

Oh my gosh this I am a big fan of. It has a quick dry formula and contains kaolin mineral powder. The scent and feel of this product on the skin is amazing. This left no powder residue on my clothes or skin. I love the click and twist design. The scent instantly makes me feel relaxed somehow too.

This water resistant product quickly absorbs into the skin leaving no sticky residue. Perfect for spritzing on the go when enjoying your summer festivities. I have reviewed many products from the Nivea Sun Range here!

I am a massive fan of the Nivea Sun Range as I burn so easily even when using some sun protection products. That has not happened since I have been using Nivea's sun protection products. The Nivea Sun Range is not only essential for someone very pale like me who burns very easily, but I would recommend it to all skin types. It's now my go to sun protection which I am now sharing with my boyfriend and his brother, ha ha :)

I would definitely purchase all of these products in the future as they are definite beauty staples!

Thanks to Porter Novelli for sending me over these samples :)

What are your Nivea summer essentials? Let me know with reasons why in the comments below.

Love to you all

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters: Follow Up Review

Hi All. It's such a gorgeous day it's almost like the bad weather actually hasn't been happening. I gave you a quick preview in this post of my initial impressions of the three Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters that I picked up. In my original post I swatched them on my hand, but in this post I will show you how they actually look on my lips. Please remember that everyone has different skin pigmentation so they may look different on your lips than they do on mine.

 Cupcake (055)

I found Cupcake to be the worst of the three for me simply because it went streaky on my lips. It separated showing up every line and crease. I must admit this is something I tend to find a lot with these kind of lip shades on me. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you resolve it if you do? I think this might be one for layering as opposed to wearing alone. At least for me anyway. The shade is a very, very pale pink. Quite 60's.

  Peach Parfait (025)

Peach Parfait was a little bit gritty on application due to the glitter particles, but it wasn't unpleasant. It didn't dry out my lips which is I thought it might due to the glitter. This lip butter is a rose brown shade with a very glossy sheen. Really nice. This is very easy to wear.

Tutti Frutti (015)

Now for my favourite of the three. I love, love, love this shade. This mid-toned orange shade really brings out the blue of my eyes and feels so smooth on my lips. It's not gritty at all, just glossy. I think this shade will suit so many skin tones. If you try one shade try this one.

I think these lip butters are a great concept as you don't need to apply a lip butter before applying your desired lip shade. Depending on the colour there are a few you could just throw on without a mirror. I will definitely be checking out the other shades. I think I may store mine in the fridge in the summer as they do melt and could get very messy very easily. Perhaps not great for festival weekends.

You can pick these up in Superdrug or at superdrug.com for £7.99 each or on their current 3 for 2 offer. You can also purchase these in Boots Pharmacy or at boots.com for £7.99 each.

Have you tried any of these lip butters? What are your favourite and not so favourite shades? What do you like/dislike about them?

Love to you all

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters

Hi my loves. I have some swatches for you today of something fairly new to the UK and that is a few of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. I have only purchased three so far as I want to see if I like the formula first.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters In Shades Left To Right: Tutti Frutti (015), Cupcake (055) & Peach Parfait (025)

Swatches As Above

The Gorgeous Diamond Pattern Casing

Tutti Frutti (015) ~ A Satsuma Coral Shade

Cupcake (055) ~ A Barbie Pink Shade

Peach Parfait (025) ~ A Rose With Gold Shimmers Shade

On swatching these lip butters are very buttery indeed. They almost feel like they are melting so I am thinking I may leave mine in the fridge in the summer. They have no scent to them which I am not sure if I would have preferred given their names. I love the transparent patterned casing. The packaging represents the colour of the product which is fab. My only criticism is that I find the lids quite hard to pull off. It's good that you know the lid won't come off in your handbag or make-up bag though I guess.

I purchased mine in Superdrug for £7.99 each. I could not find them on their website, but I did find them on boots.com, Link :) where they are available for the same price or you can take up their current 3 for 2 offer.

I can't wait to try these products out as they are quite pigmented lip butters so you are getting smooth tinted lips. I hope they live up to the hype. I have my eye on the shades Creme Brulee and Cotton Candy.

Have you tried any of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters? Do you like them? What are your favourite shades? Do they work for you as a 2 in 1 product?

Love to you all
