Shaved, Smoothed & Smelling Good

Hello sweet peas. It's almost the weekend so hoorah for that. Today I have 3 body skincare reviews for you so I will crack on.

I received this product in my Festive Treasures GlossyBox. I must admit that on my first use it felt very unnatural and a little scary to use a razor without any other shaving product. Once I got used to how firmly to press and work it around my body contours though I realised that I was actually pretty impressed with it. The moisturising area around the blades lathers up well once wet. The head is kind of springy, but once I became confident in using this product I knew how much pressure to apply. It is more chunky than other razors obviously so may not be great for travel, but this lasted quite a few uses. I am not sure where the indicator is to let you know when the blades need changing, but once the moisturising strip had worn away at the front I could tell that I couldn't use it any longer.

The moisture spray I have linked above looks different to my bottle so I am hoping that the product has not changed for this review. My bottle is 250ml whereas the bottle linked above is 50ml. I don't remember paying more than £5.00 for this product at the time, but it was quite a while ago. Anyway enough rambling. This moisture spray I would say is an essential for those who find body moisturising a real task. The scent is lovely and spa like. This bottle has lasted ages considering that myself and my boyfriend give each other back massages with it too. My only bad comment is to say I reserve this for when I am at home in my PJ's rather than getting dressed to go out. My reason for this is one day I went to work with fitted coloured trousers on and marks appeared around my knees where the product had seeped through. It is not by any means a greasy product, but it does take longer to sink in than other moisture products. My skin does feel very smooth and moisturised after use though.

I picked this up in the 99p Store however I have linked to Superdrug above as it's not on the 99p Store site and Superdrug currently have it for 99p anyway. I really enjoyed this subtle fruity scent with a blend of wild apple, honeysuckle and coconut. A 99p bargain that I would pick up again.

I hope you enjoyed today's reviews. Let me know your favourite skincare for the body with reasons why in the comments below.

Fragrance Reviews

Hi lovelies I hope you are all well. It has been so chilly these last couple of days that it's starting to feel more like Xmas.

I have five products to review for you today so here are my thoughts on them :)

Morrisons Total Confidence Candy Pink Antiperspirant Deodorant ~ 250ml

Up to 24 hours protection against wetness and odour. Alcohol free, PH balanced and dermatologically tested.

This antiperspirant deodorant works well enough for me. This has a soft powdery scent that is quite subtle. I would prefer a lid if I were to travel with it though in case it sprayed in my bag. This was approximately £1.00 which is handy to pick up on my weekly shop.

Morrisons Total Confidence Crystal Waters Antiperspirant Deodorant ~ 250ml

My thoughts are the same about this spray. The only difference is that the scent is more fresh than the Candy Pink.

Morrisions Delight Lasting Fragrance ~ 75ml

A cool and fruity fragrance. Long lasting and dermatologically tested.

I am not a fan of these body sprays from Morrisions. I previously tried the Tantalise scent which I could really smell alcohol in. I could really smell it in this one too. I will therefore not be trying out the other scents in this range. This again was around the £1.00 mark.

Revlon Charlie Essence Perfumed Body Fragrance ~ 50ml

An enchanting creation of zesty fruits, velvet florals and musk.

I received this as part of a gift set from my Mum last January for My Birthday. It had rolled under my unit, but I found it when I was tidying up. I enjoyed using this around Halloween and Bonfire Night as the packaging of the bottle seemed quite fitting. It was an okay spray, but the scent was not as magical as the bottle looks. At the moment you can purchase the single 75ml bottle for 82p at Superdrug, link

Roger & Gallet Rose Imaginaire Fresh Fragrant Water ~ 100ml for £32.00

I received this product at the Roger & Gallet Blogger Evening in September 2012. I previously described the scent as 'very delicate and womanly. Lovely for daytime freshness'. This is a very subtle fragrance that to me is somewhere between a perfume and a liquid body spray. I don't think that you could ever over apply this because it is not heavy at all. I have added a link above to Marks & Spencer although it is available from other stockists.

So that's my reviews for today's post. What are your current favourite body fragrances? Let me know in the comments below.

Revlon Charlie Touch Perfumed Body Fragrance

Hello lovelies. How has your day been? Today I want to do a little review of a body spray that I received as part of a gift set for my birthday.

Revlon Charlie Touch Perfumed Body Fragrance

'A signature scent of romantic rose and indulgent vanilla musk'. Now I don't despise this scent at all, but rose and vanilla are not my most favourite body aromas. This is not a heavy scent though so it is non-offensive to me.

You can pick this up in Superdrug for 75ml of product for 84p at the moment, Link.

Have you found any body sprays that you are currently in love with? If so let me know in the comments below.

My Latest Anti-Perspirant Deodorant & Body Fragrance

Hi you gorgeous readers and Happy Bank Holiday! Today I have a couple of products to talk about so here I go :)

Left: Soft & Gentle Anti-White Marks Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Verbena & Waterlily 24 Hour Protection, 99p for 150ml from 99p Stores

Shake, hold upright, spray 15cm from underarm. Do not apply to sore or broken skin.

This says it offers 24 hour protection. It did last as well as other anti-perspirant deodorants I have used, but I would say there were days that I felt a little perspiration under my arms within a 12 hour period (a working day). It says it minimises white marks on the back of the can so you are not guaranteed to be mark free although I didn't notice any obvious white marks while using this. The scent is very light and floral. Good for the spring/summer seasons. This sprays a fine mist with just enough product coming out.

I picked up two of these lightweight cans from the 99p Stores as I always like to know I have this sort of product to hand. I would pick this up again, especially at this price.

Right: Revlon Charlie Pink Perfumed Body Fragrance, Currently 84p for 75ml from Superdrug

Hold 15cm from the body and spray.

This is another body spray from the set my Mum gave to me for my birthday, Link. I really like the scent of this body fragrance. I usually just reserve body sprays for lounging at home, but I think this one is good enough to venture outside in as it could be thought of as an eau de toilette. Although the fragrance is not a bold, in your face type it is sweet and cheeky. There is a great mix of red fruits, tangerine and vanilla. I think any age could wear this day or night.

What are your favourite anti-perspirant deodorants and why? Have you got a current body fragrance that you just can't live without? Let me know in the comments below.

Body Beauty: Bathe, Scent & Moisturise

Ello, ello all. Welcome back to Beautiful Addictions. Today I have three reviews for you of products for the body.

Left: Morrisons Creme Bath Orchid White

Pour under warm running water to create a bath full of bubbles. Use within 24 months of opening.

I have already reviewed the shower creme of this range here. This has the same baby soft type of scent as that. It's very clean and pure. I believe this was less than £1.00 for 1 litre. Myself and my fella both use this and it has lasted us ages. It's good to know it's guy friendly too so it saves buying two separate bottles if you share. This actually produces a good amount of bubbles too. I have already bought another one of these and will do so again.

Centre: Revlon Charlie Red Perfumed Body Fragrance, Currently 84p for 75ml

Hold can 15cm from the body and spray.

My Mum bought me this in a set of four sprays for my birthday, Link. Mine is a 50ml can, but you can purchase the 75ml size from Superdrug shown in the link above. I usually wear body spray rather than perfume if I am just at home for the day so it's always good to try new ones. I remember being given a Charlie perfume when I was very young and I'm sure it featured some red in the design so I didn't have very high hopes for this one as I found the perfume too old for me. I know I am much older now, but that memory still made me feel like this may be a more mature scent. I was however nicely surprised as the mix of flowers and spicy fruits are pleasing. It's not expensive so if it's not for you it shouldn't be too much of a disappointment.

Right: Keep Clean And Moisturise Luxury Body Lotion Pomegranate Noir, 99p for 250ml

Pump into hands and lather over your body.

I picked up this range in the 99p Stores, Link. I described this scent in that post as a 'very light scent that is soft, yet a little musky at the same time'. I would still have to agree with that. It's very creamy and a thick formula that feels great on the skin. More of a body butter than a lotion I would say. The cream itself I love, but the packaging doesn't work so well. I am not very good usually at getting these pump designs initially to pop up ready for use so the fella was called in and sorted it. About a third of the way into the bottle the cream seemed almost too thick to pass up the tube. I had to keep unscrewing the pump, swirling the cream around and using it from there. Eventually I went to the swirl and scoop method to get the product out as the pumps dispenser fell off. I could put it back on, but it just seemed easier to do it this way. Overall I still really like the cream. If you can find another pump to fit the bottle that might work better then this would be fab. I may just have a dodgy one, but I have the other scents to try and will let you know.

I have tried a few of Morrisions beauty products now, but which ones do you recommend? Have you got a favourite body fragrance that you think I might like? Have you found any bargains in the 99p Stores? Let me know in the comments below.

NOTD: They Remind Me Of Snow

Hey again loves I'm back for the second time today. I really love what I currently have on my nails so I thought it unfair to keep it from you. Here is a wee post to let you see what I used.

Firstly I applied one coat of my Alessandro pro White as a base. I then applied three coats of my E.L.F. Nail Polish in the shade White. This is a very thin formula that doesn't come out as opaque as I would like which is why I applied three coats. I then topped off the look with three coats of this Revlon Nail Enamel in the shade Star. I used this product before in a New Year's Eve NOTD, link. I love that this glitter shade is made up of both glitter and larger particles. When the light catches it I can see reflects of blue, silver, green and purple. Overall I think this look is perfect for the chilly weather as I think it has that sparkly snow wintry feel to it.

E.L.F. Nail Polish in White from eyeslipsface.co.uk for £2.50.

I have found the Revlon Nail Enamel in Star on cosmetics4less.net for £2.50, but I picked mine up from Poundland last year I think it was for just £1.00.

Are you into glitter on your nails? Which nail combinations are your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters: Follow Up Review

Hi All. It's such a gorgeous day it's almost like the bad weather actually hasn't been happening. I gave you a quick preview in this post of my initial impressions of the three Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters that I picked up. In my original post I swatched them on my hand, but in this post I will show you how they actually look on my lips. Please remember that everyone has different skin pigmentation so they may look different on your lips than they do on mine.

 Cupcake (055)

I found Cupcake to be the worst of the three for me simply because it went streaky on my lips. It separated showing up every line and crease. I must admit this is something I tend to find a lot with these kind of lip shades on me. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you resolve it if you do? I think this might be one for layering as opposed to wearing alone. At least for me anyway. The shade is a very, very pale pink. Quite 60's.

  Peach Parfait (025)

Peach Parfait was a little bit gritty on application due to the glitter particles, but it wasn't unpleasant. It didn't dry out my lips which is I thought it might due to the glitter. This lip butter is a rose brown shade with a very glossy sheen. Really nice. This is very easy to wear.

Tutti Frutti (015)

Now for my favourite of the three. I love, love, love this shade. This mid-toned orange shade really brings out the blue of my eyes and feels so smooth on my lips. It's not gritty at all, just glossy. I think this shade will suit so many skin tones. If you try one shade try this one.

I think these lip butters are a great concept as you don't need to apply a lip butter before applying your desired lip shade. Depending on the colour there are a few you could just throw on without a mirror. I will definitely be checking out the other shades. I think I may store mine in the fridge in the summer as they do melt and could get very messy very easily. Perhaps not great for festival weekends.

You can pick these up in Superdrug or at superdrug.com for £7.99 each or on their current 3 for 2 offer. You can also purchase these in Boots Pharmacy or at boots.com for £7.99 each.

Have you tried any of these lip butters? What are your favourite and not so favourite shades? What do you like/dislike about them?

Love to you all

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters

Hi my loves. I have some swatches for you today of something fairly new to the UK and that is a few of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. I have only purchased three so far as I want to see if I like the formula first.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters In Shades Left To Right: Tutti Frutti (015), Cupcake (055) & Peach Parfait (025)

Swatches As Above

The Gorgeous Diamond Pattern Casing

Tutti Frutti (015) ~ A Satsuma Coral Shade

Cupcake (055) ~ A Barbie Pink Shade

Peach Parfait (025) ~ A Rose With Gold Shimmers Shade

On swatching these lip butters are very buttery indeed. They almost feel like they are melting so I am thinking I may leave mine in the fridge in the summer. They have no scent to them which I am not sure if I would have preferred given their names. I love the transparent patterned casing. The packaging represents the colour of the product which is fab. My only criticism is that I find the lids quite hard to pull off. It's good that you know the lid won't come off in your handbag or make-up bag though I guess.

I purchased mine in Superdrug for £7.99 each. I could not find them on their website, but I did find them on boots.com, Link :) where they are available for the same price or you can take up their current 3 for 2 offer.

I can't wait to try these products out as they are quite pigmented lip butters so you are getting smooth tinted lips. I hope they live up to the hype. I have my eye on the shades Creme Brulee and Cotton Candy.

Have you tried any of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters? Do you like them? What are your favourite shades? Do they work for you as a 2 in 1 product?

NOTD: New Year's Eve Sparkle

Hi my special people. I hope you are all having a good week. Even though I do not have any New Year's Eve plans at the moment I was feeling inspired and fancied something glittery on my nails. This is the combo that I tried and I love it.

Firstly I applied my usual Rimmel base coat. I then applied two coats of O.P.I. Dating A Royal. This is a gorgeous mid-toned blue that can look very chic on it's own. This applied very nicely with two coats. I really like it. The UK O.P.I. website is currently down, but you can check out this shade on opi.com

Now for the bling. I then applied two coats of this fantastic nail glitter which is Revlon Star. This is my current favourite nail glitter. I love that it not only has various glitter sparkle shades, but that there are some that are some larger sparkles amongst the finer glitter sparkles. I picked this bargain nail polish up at Poundland. I could not find this on the website, but hopefully you will find it in store if you love the look of this polish as much as me.

I think this nail look is perfect for New Year's Eve night as it has the blue background which I think gives a kind of night time theme with the sparkles looking like stars or bursts of fireworks in the sky.

I will probably spend my New Year's Eve nibbling on naughty food and having a tipple or two. What are your plans? I wish you all a happy and healthy new year. I hope the new year brings good things for all of you. Thank you so much for taking the time to check in on my blog from time to time. It has certainly given me a boost in 2011 knowing that you beauties are prepared to listen to my rambles.

Love to you all

NOTD: Blue With A Splash of Gold

Hi my sweets. I hope you are all feeling good. Today's NOTD post is with some fantastically strong shades.

Firstly I applied this gorgeous nail polish in 'Blue My Mind' from Lena White O.P.I. I would describe this shade as a very regal blue. I applied two coats of this to every nail except the ring fingers. This covered my nails with such a rich coat of colour. Easy to apply. You can purchase this nail polish for £10.50 for 15ml. Please see the link here. I purchased my bottle on my 1st visit to Olympia Beauty. Please see the link to that post here.

I then applied this fantastically shimmery golden shade from Revlon. This nail polish is called Gold Get 'Em (900). I applied two coats of this nail polish to the remaining ring fingers. I would perhaps apply three coats of this the next time I apply it as this does apply a little thinly. The brush is quite thin which makes it apply a bit streaky, but it's not very noticeable because of the shimmer in the shade. I am still a fan of this nail polish because of this colour. I bought this from Savers, but I found this shade on Amazon for £2.00 plus delivery. Please see the link here.

Are you a fan of wearing two nail colours together? If so, what are your favourite colour combinations?

Love to you all

Nail Of The Day: Revlon Strawberry Electric

Hi there my lovelies. As I was freshly painting my nails tonight I thought I would try out this new nail polish that I bought from Savers the other day. It is by Revlon and called Strawberry Electric (190).

I really like this holographic pink colour which has a little purple running through it that catches in the light. I think this would also be lovely to show off your toes in the summer.

I applied this with two coats as it directs on the bottle. Have you found any great nail colours recently? I am a bit obsessed with them. Take good care everyone.

Love to you all
