Body Beauty: Bathe, Scent & Moisturise

Ello, ello all. Welcome back to Beautiful Addictions. Today I have three reviews for you of products for the body.

Left: Morrisons Creme Bath Orchid White 

Pour under warm running water to create a bath full of bubbles. Use within 24 months of opening.

I have already reviewed the shower creme of this range here. This has the same baby soft type of scent as that. It's very clean and pure. I believe this was less than £1.00 for 1 litre. Myself and my fella both use this and it has lasted us ages. It's good to know it's guy friendly too so it saves buying two separate bottles if you share. This actually produces a good amount of bubbles too. I have already bought another one of these and will do so again.

Centre: Revlon Charlie Red Perfumed Body Fragrance, Currently 84p for 75ml

Hold can 15cm from the body and spray.

My Mum bought me this in a set of four sprays for my birthday, Link. Mine is a 50ml can, but you can purchase the 75ml size from Superdrug shown in the link above. I usually wear body spray rather than perfume if I am just at home for the day so it's always good to try new ones. I remember being given a Charlie perfume when I was very young and I'm sure it featured some red in the design so I didn't have very high hopes for this one as I found the perfume too old for me. I know I am much older now, but that memory still made me feel like this may be a more mature scent. I was however nicely surprised as the mix of flowers and spicy fruits are pleasing. It's not expensive so if it's not for you it shouldn't be too much of a disappointment. 

Right: Keep Clean And Moisturise Luxury Body Lotion Pomegranate Noir, 99p for 250ml

Pump into hands and lather over your body.

I picked up this range in the 99p Stores, Link. I described this scent in that post as a 'very light scent that is soft, yet a little musky at the same time'. I would still have to agree with that. It's very creamy and a thick formula that feels great on the skin. More of a body butter than a lotion I would say. The cream itself I love, but the packaging doesn't work so well. I am not very good usually at getting these pump designs initially to pop up ready for use so the fella was called in and sorted it. About a third of the way into the bottle the cream seemed almost too thick to pass up the tube. I had to keep unscrewing the pump, swirling the cream around and using it from there. Eventually I went to the swirl and scoop method to get the product out as the pumps dispenser fell off. I could put it back on, but it just seemed easier to do it this way. Overall I still really like the cream. If you can find another pump to fit the bottle that might work better then this would be fab. I may just have a dodgy one, but I have the other scents to try and will let you know.

Haul: Select Fashion, New Look, H&M And Primark

Hey there you gorgeous Beauty Addicts. I hope your weekend was fabbo. I went Xmas shopping on Friday, but I did manage to pick up just one or two wee things for myself as you do ;)

These gorgeous baby pink fingerless/mitten gloves are from Select Fashion. They are so handy for when it's cold and I still want to use my smart phone. I think the pearl and gem detailing makes them super cute. I picked these up in the 20% off sale for £4.00. Their website currently has a 30% off everything sale (excluding sale items). Here are the gloves, Link. Here is the matching headband that I also saw in store, Link.

I bought two pairs of these as I saw a girl working in New Look at Bluewater last Xmas wearing them, but I couldn't find them anywhere. The top part looks more skin toned than in this photo. These are £4.99 a pair, but as I had a credit note I paid nothing, sort of. I can not find the exact same pair on their website, but I did see these in store which are the same design except the skin tone part is a fine black denier for a more modest look and they are on 3 for 2.

This H&M Get Your Groove On! Shimmering Shower & Bath Cream Frangipani Fantasia I just could not resist. It's pink, it's glittery. What's not to love. I want to see if this leaves a glittery veil on my skin when I use it. This was a bargain at just £1.99 for 410ml. I could not find this on their website, but here is the Body Splash Spray of this, Link.

Now on to the Primark goodness ........

The gold cross earrings are £1.00. The gold and silver cross necklaces are £2.00 each. I am a massive fan of crosses and as the trend for them never seems to be coming to an end I don't think you can go wrong with these items of jewellery.

These Ivory Slipper Socks I just couldn't pass up. They look so cosy and I know I will get my use out of them. These were only £4.00. They fit size 4-8 or 37-42.

Black faux leather (pleather) trousers with panelling. These beauties are £13.00 which I think is great. I love these so much. They have a side zip. The size 10 in these looked too big for me and there wasn't an 8 so I chanced it and got a 6 as they looked a little bigger than you would expect an 6 to be. I can do them up, but I think the 8 would be better so I'm undecided on whether or not to keep these as I don't want to give them up :( I will try them on again when I'm not so busy. I would advise going at least one size down with these if you get them.

Now these babies are the first thing I picked up when I entered the store and they were on my feet straight away. They are black with gold studs at the rear and down the heel. There are gold zips on the insides and the material feels like suede effect. They have a platform sole with a spiked heel. I will wear these with so many things so I am happy :) These cost £20.



That's all of my hauling goodness. Suppose I better get on with buying some more Xmas presents too, hee hee ;0)

Di Palomo Products: First Impressions

Hi there Sweethearts. Today's post is one that I am really excited about and as I go on you will see why. In my September Beauty Box from feelunique.com I received a product from Di Palomo. This is a company I have never heard of before, but the point of these beauty boxes is to try out new products so that I can discover new companies, which is exciting to me. As you can probably tell from my review I fell in love with this product instantly. It truly is my most favourite hand & nail cream to date. The smell alone has me captivated. Anyway after seeing my review Di Palomo contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing further products for them. I was so excited and went straight onto their website to see if I would find things that I would actually use as I didn't want to waste their time and I want to try products that appeal to me, not just so I can get free products. I passed my details on saying I would be happy to review more products, but I was astonished at the amount of things that I received. Take a look below.

I do not use soap at all, but I will definitely give this a try as I love the scent. The bar itself is engraved with the Di Palomo signature which is a nice touch. I think this bar will last a long time so for £8.00 I think that's pretty good value. It will be interesting to see if this changes my mind about soap as it's not something I would ever choose to buy. I would like to know if this is safe to use on the face as I think I may use it more for that. If anyone knows the answer please tell me :)


Enriching Hand & Nail Cream

I love the little autumn leaf tied around the top. It adds to the whole theme of this range. This has the same consistency as the Enriching Hand & Nail Cream. I like the fact that I now have a product of the same scent to apply all over my body too. I like the pump design. I much prefer this to squeezing product from a tube.

Overall I really like the smell of this Wild Fig & Grape range. I think it's a nice choice for heading into Autumn/Winter. The packaging of these products adds to that autumnal feel. The terracotta packaging makes me think of something warm, natural and herbal.

Other products that I want to try in this range are the Bath & Shower Gel, the Bath Syrup, the Body Butter, the Dry Oil, the Eau De Parfum and the Fragrant Candle (Wooden Bowl).

This has a very subtle scent to it. Very fresh, yet soft. The product itself is a milky, creamy consistency.

Hand & Body Lotion

This has the same consistency as the Wild Fig & Grape Sumptuous Hand & Body Lotion. It's smooth and sinks into the skin straight away.

Enriching Hand & Nail Cream

Again this has the same consistency as the other creams and lotions so far and sinks into the skin just as well.

I think this set would be great for travelling. I do not travel really, but I do stay at my boyfriend's house a lot so it's perfect for that. It also gives me the oppotrunity to try products in smaller sizes to see if I like them.

Again I love the touch of the leaf added to the bottle and the fact that it has a pump. This is the larger version of the one that came in the Bath & Body Treat set.

Body Butter

Containing over 30% natural cocoa butter blended with extracts of White Grape & Aloe, this body butter melts at body temperature, so is instantly absorbed. Apply daily after a bath or shower to maintain silky smooth skin.

This product really surprised me as I expected this to be a lot more loose like a thick lotion consistency, but it feels more like a creamy wax. When applied to the skin it feels very creamy and sinks in beautifully. It really is instantly absorbed as it says on the website. I think this product will take ages to use beacause you don't end up using more than you need to. A great value product I think.

My thoughts on this White Grape With Aloe range are that it is pleasent and fresh. I would reccomend this range to someone who prefers a subtle scent. It is not at all overpowering. The packaging gives this vibe I think as it has a very clean appearance.

Other products that I would like to try from this range are the Bath Elixir, the Dry Oil, the Eau De Parfum and the Fragrant Candle (Glass Vase/Glass).

Irresistible Eau De Parfum

A soft, sweet fragrance, inspired by an early evening walk through orange & olive groves above the Bay of Naples. Top notes of, bergamot, mandarin & orange blossom lead to middle notes of jasmine, honey & geranium, resting on a base of sandalwood, olive, amber & musk.

First off let me say yet again that I love the fact that they have added a little flower to the bottle. It's the little touches that please me as much as the overall feel and look of a range as it makes me feel like they have put thought and effort in. I would describe this as a light/medium perfume in terms of strength. I think you could wear this for day and evening. Great for going out straight from work. This is both musky and sweet as it describes and I can definitely smell the mandarin and orange notes. I think that this would suit a lot of tastes as it is a kind of in between perfume. Not to strong, yet not so subtle that you don't notice it. Someone added a review on the website saying that the scent holds longer when used with the Dry Oil.

Now that I am smelling this product I can really smell the honey too. This has the same consistency as the previous Body Wash. I really like this scent.

Hand & Body Lotion

This has the same consistency and works in the same way as the previous Hand & Body Lotion.

Enriching Hand & Nail Cream

Beautiful consistency and works in the same way as the previous Hand & Nail Cream.

This product is also from the Orange Blossom with Wild Honey & Olive range, but I did not realise this at first because the blue shade of the packaging is on the inside with the outside being white. This is the Dry Oil.

Dry Oil

You already know by now that I love the wee flower on the bottle :) This is the product that someone suggested on the website to apply with the Orange Blossom with Wild Honey & Olive Irresistible Eau De Parfum to make it last longer. I just applied this to my skin and it sank in straight away just like the creams and lotions. That really impresses me as I absoloutely hate greasy, oily products that take ages to sink into my skin. The fact that it doubles up as a leave in conditioner is great. I don't think you would mind leaving this in your hair as if doesn't feel slick on your skin I can't imagine it making your hair greasy as it is so light-weight. It literally sank into my skin in 2 seconds. This product is something that I would definitely buy.

The packagaing of this range has a slightly oriental and pretty appearance. It's my favourite packaging of these three ranges. I really am loving this scent. I would say it is quite a sexy aroma. Again I think that the Bath & Body Treat set is great for a traveller or someone wanting to test products out before purchasing the full sizes.

Other products I would like to try in this range are the Bath Nectar Glass Decanter, the Body Butter, the Eau De Parfum and the Fragrant Candle (Glass Vase).

There is also a Spa range on the website, but I do not have any products from that, sorry. I would like to try though the Bamboo & Sisal Back Exfoliator, the Bamboo Face Cloth & the Bamboo Foot File.

Damn I smell good after testing out all of these products while writing this post, haa haa. I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to try all of these products thanks to Di Palomo. I have fallen in love with all of them so far, but I will update you on my thoughts after using them for some time. 

Pros for me:

• Appealing packaging
• Great scents
• Great consistency/texture of products
• Extra touches with the flowers/leaves added :)
• Travel/smaller size options
• Variety of ranges
• Great prices

Cons for me:

• The White Grape With Aloe range and the Orange Blossom with Wild Honey & Olive range varying slightly in packaging, but only slightly. I would have preferred them to be consistent like the Wild Fig & Grape range as it's easier to identify that products are from the same range.
