BURT'S BEES DEEP PORE SCRUB & IMPULSE BODY FRAGRANCE

Hi sweeties. I have two product reviews rolled into one post here so I hope you enjoy :)

My Mum gave me this sample and I finally got around to using it. The aim of this product is to exfoliate, polish and smooth out the complexion, while also removing dirt and oil for a clean feeling.

In the shower I massaged this into my wet face twice a week. Now I have to say that had this not been given to me I wouldn't have picked it up. I am not a fan of the Burt's Bees products I have tried so far because of the scent. This product was no exception, but I will say it did work. The scent I only noticed on application so I persevered and I was pleasantly surprised. My skin felt so clean and renewed. Definitely smooth and polished. This is currently at a reduced price on the Feelunique website linked above.

I think I picked this up in the 99p Store. I am such a fan of Impulse body fragrances as they are compact, but last for ages. There is such a wide selection of scents for every mood. The click and twist lid is perfect for travel and they are so affordable. This scent is amazing and I would certainly buy it again. It's fruity, soft, floral and woody all at the same time. A perfectly uplifting and calming scent that makes me feel balanced, clean and fresh. This is currently 98p from Superdrug linked above.

I would love to know your favourite face scrubs and body fragrances in the comments below with reasons why.

Love to you all

Melvita Nectar Bright Brightening Exfoliation Masque

Hi lovelies. Have you been having a great weekend? I caught up with my Mum on Friday and have been at home for the rest of the weekend. It seems like I only left work a few hours ago. Oh well lets enjoy today before most of us have to go back to the grind tomorrow.

Today's post is focused on this fabulous 2 in 1 masque and exfoliation product to help you relax and unwind. This is the Melvita Nectar Bright Brightening Exfoliation Masque.

Application:

So how does it work? You apply this product to dry, clean skin 2-3 times per week. I use it twice a week as I find that's enough for me. After showering using my face wash I cleanse my skin. I then apply a generous layer of this product to my face and neck, avoiding the eye area. You can leave it on for 5-10 mins. I always leave it for 10mins to get the maximum benefit. It feels like impurities are being drawn from my pores very delicately as the product kind of feels like it is sweating. That sounds really gross I know, but I don't mean that it heats up like some masques do. It's like a cold sweat that is very subtle. Once the 10mins is up I massage the microbeads into my skin and rinse off with water and a flannel.

Results:

My skin feels plumped and refreshed after use with a brighter more even tone. I love that it is a 2 in 1 product that only takes 10mins to work at most. The scent is very natural and almost oaty. I have really enjoyed using this product and will continue to do so.

The best price I found for this product is £27.00 for 75ml from feelunique.com

Thanks to Neville McCarthy for sending this to me for free to test and review.

Is this 2 in 1 product from Melvita something that appeals to you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Melvita Argan Oil

Hi loves. I have a product review for you today of the Melvita Argan Oil. This was sent to me for free to review.

Melvita relaunched a selection of their beauty oils on the 17th January 2014 and I have been testing out the Argan Oil.

Product information:

Argan trees grow exclusively along the Moroccan coastline, in the regions of Essaouira and Agadir. The nuts from these trees yield an oil that is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids and sterols. For centuries, it has been renowned for its repairing properties.

Unroasted argan oil is a true beauty secret held by Berber women. It is also traditionally used to massage joints and to care for the nails and hair.

Melvita Argan Oil

First cold-pressing organic oil.

Colourant and preservative-free.

No chemical solvent.

Intransigeant quality inspection.

High level of active principles.

Controlled extraction process.

Certified Ecocert Fair Trade (EFT).

Melvita's Argan Oil has 100% concentration to ensure maximum benefits. No other oils or fragrances are added and it is not diluted. Melvita Argan Oil provides the user with healthy, supple skin that is protected, softened and moisturised. This anti-ageing oil is suitable for all skin types, but especially ideal for dry, damaged, fragile skin.

Application:

Apply to face or body, massaging gently to penetrate the skin. Apply to irritated areas to soothe the burning sensation.

My thoughts:

I have been loving using oils a lot more recently on both my face and body. I did however use this mostly on my body. My skin felt very smooth, supple and nourished from using this product. I do like the simplistic pump glass bottle packaging as it adds to that 100% pure, organic image. I do think I would prefer however a spray bottle. It's not a problem with the pump I just think that change would make application a little easier and quicker as you could spritz it all over then just rub it in. There was no greasy feeling with this product. Just smoother, healthy looking skin. I thoroughly enjoyed using this oil.

There are many relaunched oils available from Melvita. If you have a skin concern or just love to nourish yourself to feel at your best why not check out this link to see which Melvita oils will cater to your skincare needs.

The Melvita range is also available at Whole Foods, selected John Lewis stores and online, BeautyMART at Harvey Nichols and feelunique.com

I hope you have enjoyed this review. Please let me know your favourite oils along with how you use them in the comments below.

Shimmer After Your Shower

Hi lovelies. How are you today? I have some more beauty product reviews for you. To find out more keep on reading .........

Cussons Imperial Leather Japanese Spa Nourishing Shower Cream ~ Different sizes available at Superdrug

This product contains green tea, rice milk and jasmine. It does feel very creamy and give a good lather on the skin. The scent is very gentle and baby soft. The writing was already partially rubbed of when given to me as a Xmas gift so this did not happen from me using it.

Cussons Imperial Leather Soft Touch Moisturising Shower Cream ~ Different sizes available at Superdrug

This one contains jojoba milk and vitamin e. It again was very mild and creamy giving a good lather. The scent is very gentle once again. This was also a Xmas gift.

I went through these really quickly as I must admit I love to be very generous with shower gels and creams. The hole at the top tends to dispense a little too much product also though too. Unless you are lucky enough to find these particular scents in the pound shops here is a link to the Imperial Leather Hawaiian Spa Shower Gel at Poundland which sounds like a lovely exotic scent.

Katie Price Precious Love Shimmer Body Lotion

My friend gave this to me which I believe she was given as a gift in a set with the perfume. I don't mind a bit of shimmer in some body creams, especially if I am heading out and want a little something to emphasise areas of my skin. Well let me to you this will not emphasise, but cover your body like a disco ball. This cream has silver shimmer and is packed with the stuff. It is not subtle in any way. I'm a girl who loves shimmer, sparkle and glitter, but this is just too much. If you do want to try it however then I would head to Ebay or Amazon.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Usage Dry Oil Golden Shimmer ~ £21.00 for 50ml

I received this bottle in my February 2012 Feelunique Beauty Box. I have linked to feelunique.com above, but this product is also available at M&S for the same price. It is meant for use on the face, body and hair. Now I love a mulit-tasker, but this product I reserved solely for use on my body. This does have a gorgeous golden shimmer which really warms up the skin tone. I love how the shimmer catches the light as you move. I don't really like the idea of this much shimmer on my face and because it's an oil I would only use it at night anyway. It may look okay in some peoples hair, but oils tend to way my hair down so I only use them on my ends at night knowing I can wash it out the next day. As you can see there are still a lot of shimmer particles left in the bottle. Towards the end it started to become less oil and more shimmer which although pretty did become too much. I did really enjoy using the Nuxe oil without the shimmer which you can find a review of here.

Do you love to shimmer? Let me know your favourite oils with or without shimmer in the comments below.

Melvita ProSun Gradual Self-Tanning Moisturising Gel Cream Review

Hi there beauties. I hope you are all doing well this Monday and are not too sad now that the weekend has passed. I have this week off as I always try to on my birthday week. I plan on taking some time to make changes to my blog and play around with my new camera :)

As you can see from the post title this is a review of the Melvita ProSun Gradual Self-Tanning Moisturising Gel Cream

Product information and claims:

SELF-TAN SALVATION DHA-FREE – NO GLOVES – NO STREAKS & NO BISCUIT SMELL!

Product photo from source

A natural, DHA-free formula that moisturises the skin and gives it a beautiful bronzed glow. A self tan like no-other. The formula feels, smells and moisturises like a body lotion with the added benefit of imparting a natural-looking tan.

It features Erythrulose, an innovative, natural bronzing agent derived from sugar cane which results in an even, streak-free tan with a vanilla flower and sweet orange water scent.

Free from DHA, which can lead to an orange-tinted shade, uneven coverage, and an unpleasant smell as well as leave the skin more vulnerable to free radicals, the Melvita ProSun Gradual Self-Tanning Moisturising Gel Cream gives a gradual, controlled and even tan.

Gone is the exhaustive ‘self-tan ritual’ donning gloves and smoothing on foams in long strokes. Using a combination of safflower, buriti, coconut oils and beeswax the tanning cream moisturises the skin without the need for protective gloves or application pads.

The ProSun Gradual Self-Tanning Moisturising Gel-Cream is certified organic by EcoCert and is dermatologically tested and approved. It is non-greasy and perfect for all skin types.

My thoughts and application:

Feeling nervous yet excited about using this product was expected. I don't often use fake tan products as I am very pale and fear that I will end up looking tangoed or even worse tangoed and streaky. Not a good look I think we can all agree. I have previously had spray tans applied professionally as well as trying out creams, mousses and sprays at home. I do like to dabble now and then when I am feeling way too pasty, but usually it's such a ritual to exfoliate and shave the day before. Remember to not moisturise or apply deodorant/perfume before application, except for a little moisture cream on areas such as ankles, knees and elbows. Then standing around for at least an hour to let it sink in and usually sleeping with a deep guide colour overnight before washing it off the next day. My boyfriend hates it when I fake tan as he can't stand the smell and thinks it looks too unnatural. I thought this would be a good product to try without telling him as it's gradual and would hopefully look natural without the biscuity, curry pong.

Friday:

In the evening I had a bath, shaving and exfoliating my body. I decided to apply a face mask and read a mag to let my pores close a little from shaving in case I ended up with dark spots on my legs where the tan had sunk in. I have never applied tan the same day as my prep and as this is a moisturiser as well as a lotion I did not use a regular moisturiser on my ankles, knees and elbows prior to application.

Because it was my first application I wanted to be careful. I stood on a towel in the bathroom with a full length mirror so that I would ensure to not miss any areas. I also wore a headband and tied my hair up so that no hair would be coloured.

The cream is yellow and when applying it from the tube it applies just like any moisturiser cream. I wouldn't say it felt like a gel cream as described. More like a lotion to be honest. On my skin it looked pale yellow/white. Although there wasn't any tan guide colour the cream was visible enough to see on the skin so no areas were missed. It's just like the type of body cream that really needs to be worked into the skin and doesn't sink in straight away. Something I usually hate, but in this instance an advantage.

I started at my feet and worked my way up my legs, ensuring to bend the knees at one point to avoid the white knee crease. I then did my bottom, hips, sides, tummy, chest, neck, face (avoiding eyebrows, eyes and lips), ears, arms (again bending elbows in and out to avoid tan crease or missed bits) and finally hands. With the hands I went straight over the tops using each hand to apply on the other, then made claw shapes and rubbed it in to avoid creases in the knuckles. Then I slid my fingers between both hands so that there were no lines at the sides of my fingers. I have been there and done that with these mistakes believe me. Finally I used face wipes to clean toe and finger nails, the tan bottle, the soles of my feet and the palms of my hands. It does say to wash your hands, but then I don't see how you will get a nicely blended tan from your arms to your fingertips.

I did have some time so I wrapped myself in an old, thin dressing gown so that I didn't sweat it off and continued to read my magazine. The tan did feel a little tacky and warming on my skin, but after about an hour I felt comfortable enough to put on my PJ's and continue as normal. There was no obvious colour change at this stage. I did find the vanilla in this product on my first application way too sickly, but then I am not a massive fan of vanilla.

Saturday:

After showering I applied the tan in the same manner and I did feel like I was starting to get a slight glow, but more like healthy glowing skin than a light tan. The vanilla scent had started to fade slightly and unfortunately the biscuity curry scent had started to arrive.

Sunday:

I applied it again in the same way. I got dressed this time about half an hour after applying as we were going out. There was absolutely no colour transfer on to my clothes or bedding from this product. Today was the day when I felt like I definitely had a natural looking, light tan. The biscuity curry scent was much more evident on this day. That evening my fella asked me what I smelt of while turning his nose up. I could see that he had noticed the colour change in my skin by now too.

Monday:

Monday's and Friday's are the days when I would normally exfoliate my face and body anyway so that I start both the working week and weekend feeling fresh and renewed. I must say that I am looking forward to taking my tan off for the reason of nothing more than the smell. I know that the product is DHA free and claims not to have a terrible smell, but unfortunately for me that was not the case. I am really gutted as I love this product in every other way. Here is my pro and con list for those considering trying this product:

Pro's:

Easy to apply as cream is visible until rubbed in thoroughly.

Acts as a moisturiser so a 2-in-1 product.

No need for 2 tanning products as works on both face and body.

No patches or streaking.

No defined tan lines where tan ends and natural skin begins (palms of hands).

Natural shade.

Buildable daily so not obviously fake as it's light in tone.

Perfect for fair skins like mine.

No dots in leg pores after shaving or in pores of face.

Can be applied soon after shaving and exfoliating rather than the next day like some tans advise.

Does not transfer on to clothes (other than slightly around neck of dressing gown when 1st applied).

Lovely glow on the skin remains even after showering and using face wash each day.

Great for 1st time tanners.

Even after washing hands from cleaning, cooking and using the loo the fade is very natural along my hands. So no dark arms and white hands. Obvious fake tan signs!

Con's:

Fake tan smell was present and stronger on 3rd day of application.

Final thought:

If it wasn't for the scent I would totally purchase this product myself as I think it's fail safe in application and looks so natural. I have applied this liberally to my face and body for three days and I would say I have about half left of this 150ml tube. So that's a £22.00 product that should last me about 6 applications. That's about £3.60 per application or about £11.00 to get to the level of tan I want after 3 days of application. If I were to use this again I would plan the days ahead to build up to this.

I do feel that if I had applied it again today that it might have looked less natural. This is why I have now exfoliated and although the tan is less obvious I am still left with a more golden tone than my usual pasty white. There are areas where then tan has come off more than others, but it's much less obvious than other tanners I have previously removed.

If the usual fake tan scent does not bother you then I would give this product a try as I am sure you will love it!

The Melvita range is available from uk.melvita.com, selected John Lewis stores and johnlewis.com, Wholefoods stores, BeautyMART at Harvey Nichols and feelunique.com

Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy

Ello ello beauties and how are we all today? I have a product review for you of skincare for your hands.

Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy

I received this product back in October 2011 in my Feelunique Beauty Box, Link. Check out the link for full product information.

My original thoughts:

'The cream sinks into the skin straight away. The scent is subtle, but a little old-fashioned for me. I will still give it a try though. I am really into my hand creams at the moment.'

I have to say that although it's not my favourite scent when I smell it up close it does not offend me when I use it on my hands as it is quite subtle. I like that it is in a squeezy tube so that I feel like I am getting all of the product out and not wasting any, but the screw top isn't my favourite, especially on this 25g size as it's a bit fiddly to screw back on. As a hand cream I did like the way it feels to use. It sinks in nicely, moisturising the hands well and left no greasy residue.

This product is available at £9.00 for 50g, Link or £15.00 for 100g, Link with free delivery from feelunique.com

Otherwise you can look on websites such as Amazon to search for other deals.

Have you tried any other products from this range? If yes, what are your thoughts on them? Let me know in the comments below along with your favourite hand creams and the reasons you like them.

Love to you all

Feelunique February Beauty Box

Yippee it's Friday! Let's here it for the weekend people. Today I am going to show you the products I received in my February Feelunique Beauty Box.

Left To Right: Decleor Phytopeel Face Peel Cream, Link :), Philip Kingsley Maximizer, Link :), Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Usage Dry Oil Golden Shimmer, Link :), Elemis Sp@Home Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash, Link :), Leighton Denny High Performance Colour (Steel Appeal), Link :), Jean Paul Gaultier Kokorico Eau De Toilette, Link :)

Decleor Phytopeel Face Peel Cream ~ £23.40 for 50ml

The Information:

A soft cream formula which exfoliates and smoothes the epidermis. It gently absorbs and eliminates impurities, and does not contain exfoliating particles, the gentlest and most natural way to renew your skin. It helps cleanse skin and removes impurities, removes dead skin cells and helps stimulate the cellular renewal process. Your clean, healthy and smooth skin recovers its even texture and has a healthy glow. A perfect at-home peel.

Application:

Use once or twice a week. Apply a generous layer to face and neck. Allow to dry. Gently massage, using upward circular movements. Remove excess with a cotton pad soaked in Tonifying Lotion.

Ingredients: Essential Oils of Marjoram, Lavender, Thyme and Lemon, Plant Extracts of Burdock, Elder Tree and Mallow, Green Clay.

This is a pasty white cream that went a bit flaky when I rubbed it into my hand to much. Apply it as a mask and it will be fine. It has a pleasant scent. I am looking forward to trying this on a pamper day :)

Philip Kingsley Maximizer ~ £11.20 for 125ml / £18.70 for 250ml

The Information:

Super volume for fine hair. Maximises volume and adds body and bounce, control and shine. Ideal for limp, flyaway hair. Helps prolong the life of colour treatments. This product is a Vogue Beauty Award 2010 Winner.

Application:

Spray onto your roots for lift or throughout lengths before styling for overall volume & control or gently blow dry for maximum volume.

This sounds like it does what most spray volumiser's do. I will try it out.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Usage Dry Oil Golden Shimmer ~ £23.70 for 50ml / £38.00 for 100ml

The Information:

Multi-usage dry oil. Golden Shimmer. For face, body and hair. Huile Prodigieuse OR is a dry oil with a unique super-activated formula combining 30% Precious Plant Oils and Vitamin E to nourish, repair and soften face, body and hair in a single gesture.

Benefits:

Face and body are soft and velvety. Hair is supple, glossy and full of volume. Thanks to its small golden particles, your skin glitters and reveals its beauty whenever you move.

Ingredients:

A unique cocktail of 6 Precious Plant Oils (Borage, St Johnswort, Sweet Almond, Camellia, Hazelnut, Macadamia) with a subtle fragrance for a velvety skin, silky hair and an improved overall aspect of stretch marks. Its iridescent golden particles illuminates all skin and hair types with shiny reflections.

This oil is suitable for all skin and hair types regardless of age (from 36 months onwards).

Application:

Apply on face, body and hair throughout the year, summer and winter alike. Can also be used after sun exposure for a unique dazzling and enhancing effect.

Tips:

- Ruffle your hair for a dazzling effect.

- Massage your legs in upward motions for an enhanced firmness and a “silk tights” effect. The reflection of its golden particles subtly conceals little skin imperfections.
- Apply some Huile Prodigieuse OR to enhance your tan.

This product gives a sheen to the skin rather than the pure shimmer I usually associate with this type of product. I think this will be interesting to try as a face highlighter, lip enhancer and to give my skin a nice glow. It is quite expensive though.

Elemis Sp@Home Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash ~ £18.40 for 300ml

The Information:

A Refreshing and reviving wash. This fresh hand and body wash is a beautiful exotic fragrance of lime, vetiver, petitgrain and ginger essential oils, combined with plant extracts of thyme, nettle and chamomile, in a soya, wheat and milk protein base. This skin friendly formula is deep cleansing, whilst the rich creamy lather is super gentle, leaving your skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and nourished.

Application:

Use Elemis Sp@Home Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash in the shower morning and evening, or as a hand wash throughout the day.

Ingredients:

Lime, Vetiver, Petitgrain, Ginger, Thyme, Nettle, Soy, Wheat & Milk Proteins and Chamomile.

The Elemis Promise - Elemis Sp@Home Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash is free from: parabens, SLS, SLES, DEA, mineral oils, artificial colours & silicones.

This wash is in the same family as Molton Brown's re-charge black pepper bodywash, Link :) with regards to scent. I would say that as with the Molton Brown bodywash these are both more masculine scents. I think the Elemis body wash can be used unisex as the Molton Brown product is.

Leighton Denny High Performance Colour (Steel Appeal) ~ £18.00 for Leighton Denny Sweet Petites High Performance Colour Nautical Collection (Includes Shades Steel Appeal, Miss Behavin', Natural White & Provocative. All 4.6ml each)

The Information:

The Leighton Denny Sweet Petites High Performance Colour Nautical Collection includes:

- Leighton Denny High Performance Colour Steel Appeal 4.6ml

A neutral grey that complements black perfectly and has a soft shimmering tone.

- Leighton Denny High Performance Colour Miss Behavin' 4.6ml

Try something a little different and choose midnight blue nails. Miss Behavin' was a seasonal shade so popular it had to be kept in the core range.

- Leighton Denny High Performance Colour Natural White 4.6ml

This delicate shade can be worn alone or as the tip for a natural looking French or American Manicure.

- Leighton Denny High Performance Colour Provocative 4.6ml

A classic red and the perfect shade to complement the 'little black dress'.

High performance nail colour. Easy to apply, long-lasting and chip resistant. Colour that doesn't fade and keeps a high gloss shine day after day.

Application:

Ensure nail tips are smooth and even and the nails are clean, dry and free from any oily residue. Apply a base coat to the nail and allow to dry.

The Leighton Denny base coat, Undercover, dries matt to help grip nail colour and tell you that it is time to apply the nail colour. Roll the colour bottle between the hands to mix it up; never shake it as this can cause air bubbles.

Apply two thin coats over the base coat rather than one thick coat. This helps reduce chipping and extend wear time. Wipe one side of the brush on the neck of the bottle so it holds just enough to cover one nail. Present the brush to the nail about 2mm away from the cuticle then push the brush towards the cuticle before making the usual sweep back towards the tip.

Ideally, finish with Crystal Finish topcoat to help seal the colour and again extend wear time. Tidy any mistakes with the Precision Corrector Liquid. Dip the brush into the bottle then use the brush like an eraser to remove and tidy.

For the fastest finish, drip a little Miracle Drops over the polish to speed up drying time.

This is a quite seductive shade. This would be great on a night out when you just want to rock!

Jean Paul Gaultier Kokorico Eau De Toilette ~ £31.05 for 50ml / £45.90 for 100ml

The Information:

A powerful, dynamic, aphrodisiac fragrance: the raw cocoa bean collides with the sprightly freshness of the fig leaf and livens up the timeless elegance of woods. A striking and unusual bottle. With a trick of the eye a man's face is shown when viewed from the front and turns into a sexy and virile torso in profile.

Olfactory family: Woody Cocoa.

Top notes: Fig Leaf.
Middle notes: Raw Cocoa Bean.
Base notes: Woods.

I am really confused as to why I would want a men's fragrance? I will give it to my boyfriend if he wants it. I do like the scent though.

So that's it my loves. I will not link the Feelunique website for you to sign up for this Beauty Box service as for now they have terminated it. They are looking to launch a new and improved service in the coming months so I will look out for that.

What products did you receive in your Feelunique Beauty Box this month? Were you happy with them? Will you be looking to replace your Feelunique Beauty Box with another or are you going to wait for the relaunch?

My Make-up & Storage

Hello Darlings. It's Saturday and I'm up early because my boyfriend had to get up to go to work so I thought I'd write this post. I have been off work this week and have managed to get a few things done including writing some posts and sorting through my things at home. I do love a good clear out as it makes me feel refreshed. I have been wanting to purchase some storage for my make-up for some time from Muji. You know the acrylic storage that so many of you lovely gals have. It looks great, keeps everything neat and tidy and is so good because you can see where everything is easily. Because of Xmas and having so many birthdays to buy for lately I have been holding off, but for now I thought why not make use of what I have. This is what I came up with.

I have made good use of my beauty boxes that I purchased from GlossyBox, Feelunique and Boudoir Prive/JolieBox. I think they look cute. I had to label them as I can not see what products are inside. That's why I need the Muji storage. The heart gem stickers are from Poundland. I wanted to make the boxes look a bit more girly and to make the label stickers look less boring. I have used a couple of glasses that we had in the kitchen to store make-up brushes and tattoo pens. I have my E.L.F. Studio Daily Brush Cleaner next to my make-up brushes to encourage me to keep them clean. I used my E.L.F. Studio Brush Shampoo to clean my make-up brushes a couple of days ago. I keep that in my bathroom. I have made use of the the box that my Fearne Perfect Polish collection came in. Please see my post including that collection here :) I needed a separate storage for these pigments because some of the ones I have are a bit messy when you open them as they escape from the containers. It's handy that it's partly transparent on top so I can see the products more easily and it has a pull out drawer just like the feelunique beauty boxes. This Baylis & Harding storage is great. I included this in my My Birthday Gifts post. Please find that here :)

I ran out of beauty boxes so I used some containers that I bought from Poundland. I got 8 tubs in a pack for £1.00. These are great because they are so cheap, but when you keep opening and closing them they do have a tendency to crack. To write on the boxes and tubs I have used Sharpie pens. I bought these ages ago. I think they were from Poundland too. I used the same Poundland heart gems that I used to decorate my beauty boxes. My glitter body art kit is shown here. I have never used it since I picked it up last year at Olympia Beauty (shame on me). I will definitely use it in some fun make-up looks this year. The vanity case includes Strictly Come Dancing make-up. My Mum bought me this set for my birthday in 2011. I love the sparkle on it.

I am really bad at making use of all my make-up palettes as I had them in a Soap & Glory 'hat style' box. I like that they are out on display now. I have a small fridge in my bedroom that my boyfriend bought for me years ago one Xmas. I keep drinks in it. This is what my make-up palettes are on top of.

These are my make-up brush cases/rolls. They are very handy for me as I travel between my house, my boyfriend's house and work all the time. The one on the left was from Asda about a year ago and the one on the right is a Hello Kitty Liberty set that I received as a gift for Xmas. Please see that post here :)

This is my Asda roll. I have a mixture of make-up brushes here from E.L.F., a Strictly Come Dancing Set, JolieBox, Crown Brush, No7, Royal & Langnickel and the rest came with the make-up roll itself from Asda.

This is my Hello Kitty Liberty make-up brush set.

I have just thrown away my make-up bag as it was getting too dirty and I wanted a bigger bag as I use more make-up products daily now. My old make-up bag was really good as it was clear so when you wanted to grab for a product you could see where it was in the bag rather then scrambling through lots of products. It was just a bag that I received as part of a gift toiletry set for either a birthday or a Xmas? This Hello Kitty Liberty bag I received as part of a gift set this Xmas which is shown in the same link above as the Hello Kitty Liberty Make-up brushes. These are the make-up products that I have with me today. I do have some products which I use every day, but there are some that I change over a lot as I get bored so easily and I like to experiment with different looks.

This is the Primark make-up/toiletry bag that I picked up recently and posted about in my January 2012 Sales Haul here. To make my life easier to carry all of these bits around I have put everything shown above in this to keep it all together.

I was thinking of going to Imats London on Sunday 5th February and it's still playing on my mind, but with the amount of make-up that I have I am trying to be a good girl and not buy any more for now. Also the ticket is £45.00. By the time I pay for my train ticket and food/drink on the day it works out pretty expensive. Obviously it's great for discounts though. I went to Imats London in 2011 and I loved it. I would recommend going if you are a make-up lover.

I hope this post has given you some ideas for storing your make-up and making use of things you may already have. If you would like a more in depth look at products and brushes that I have please let me know. Also if you would like to know my most used/favourite specific items let me know that as well. By this I mean foundation, bronzer, mascara, highlighter etc. If you have any storage ideas that you think are useful then let me know in the comments below.

Are any of you lovelies going to Imats this year? I am really trying to hold back and not buy a ticket :)

Love to you all

January 2012 Feelunique Beauty Box

Hello Loves. I am busy pottering around at home today, but I am quite glad I have nothing specific to do as I'm just plain knackered. I will be celebrating a birthday later though so some cake will be involved :) In today's post I am showing you what products I received in my January 2012 Feelunique Beauty Box. This box is called New Year, New You.

Left To Right: Lierac Creme Mesolift Anti-Aging Radiance, Link :), Lierac Comfort Peel, Link :), Deadsea Spa Magik Salt Brushing, Link :)

Lierac Creme Mesolift Anti-Aging Radiance ~ £29.80 for 50ml

The Information:

Drawing inspiration from facial mesotherapy, Lierac Laboratories offer “THE” ultimate anti-fatigue cream for the skin, based on “THE” mesolift cocktail used by doctors to energise, replump and illuminate the skin. A fresh and creamy formula, it contains the mesolift cocktail (5%) and citrus AHAs for instant radiance-revealing anti-aging action, boosted by illuminating pigments. Apricot butter and lime wax provide hydration and comfort.

Results: an immediate radiance boost, skin that feels toned and ideally moisturised, and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Application:

Apply morning and/or night, depending on the skin’s needs. Ideal as a complement to Concentre Mesolift in order to comfort tired skin.

I have been using this product for a few days. I love the peach colour. It smells pleasant and smooths nicely onto the skin. It's a nice moisturiser, but it's a bit too expensive for me.

Lierac Comfort Peel

The Information:

Comfort Peel is an ultra-comfortable, ‘high-tolerance’ cream containing high concentrations of new-generation hydroxy-acids for a genuine ‘new skin effect’. Used daily or as a complement to a dermatological face peel, this cream works to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and restore radiance to the complexion. It leaves skin looking smooth, even and ideally moisturized.

I will give this product a try, but I am a little scared of the word peel I must admit. I am sure it's nothing more than a face serum/moisturiser, which is why I am confused by the word peel. I will let you know how I find it to work. I could not find this product on the feelunique website, but I have added a link to the Lierac website above.

Deadsea Spa Magik Salt Brushing ~ £12.25 for 500g

The Information:

This is Dead Sea Spa Magik's number one, best-selling product. Suitable for those who desire a highly nourishing exfoliating treatment. It naturally exfoliates without irritating. I already received these before in my September GlossyBox. Please see my September Empties post for my thoughts here :)

Left To Right: Caudalie Vinotherapie Nourishing Body Lotion, Link :), Phyto PhytoBaume Color Protect Express Conditioner, Link :), This Works Clean Skin For The Face, Link :)

Caudalie Vinotherapie Nourishing Body Lotion ~ £21.50 for 400ml

The Information:

Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion is a rich, hydrating body treatment, enriched with plant-derived ingredients that provides intense nutrition and anti-oxidant action to your skin. Unctuous, it encourages micro-circulation and helps prevent premature skin aging. This nourishing lotion by Caudalie leaves skin gorgeously soft and firm. Caudalie Vinotherapie Nourishing Body Lotion can also be used by pregnant women as it promotes micro-circulation and can help to prevent stretch marks.

This has a smooth texture and a fresh scent. I like the idea of this helping to prevent stretch marks and that it's meant to leave your skin supple yet toned. I do love a good cream so I will give this a go. This product is shown as limited edition on the website, but I'm not sure if that's the size or the actual product? I think it's not too bad a price if it's that good and I like the pump dispenser on the 400ml bottle shown in the link above.

Phyto PhytoBaume Color Protect Express Conditioner ~ £10.20 for 150ml

The Information:

Grapefruit and sea buckthorn extracts, castor oil, sunflower extract, hibiscus flower acids, mallow extraction (78%). Phyto PhytoBaume Color Protect Express Conditioner instantly detangles and protects colour-treated or highlighted hair. Sea buckthorn extract has nurturing and antioxidant properties that acts as a cellular protector to lock-in colour and prevent fading. Grapefruit extract combined with hibiscus flower acids seal the cuticle for ultimate shine. Hair becomes easier to detangle with improved manageability, and is soft and shiny. Colour is protected and vibrant.

Application:

After shampooing, apply a small amount of Phyto PhytoBaume Color Protect Express Conditioner to damp hair. Rinse immediately.

This product was sealed so I didn't want to open it until I use it so I'm not sure what it smells like. I am not sure why it instructs you to rinse it out immediately after applying it as I usually leave conditioners on for a least a couple of minutes to give them a chance to work?

This Works Clean Skin For The Face ~ £18.00 for 150ml

The Information:

"This is by far the best cleanser I have tried this year. It's a creamy, soothing cleanser packed with essential oils. Make-up is removed in moments & skin is left fresh." - Handbag.com.

A non drying cream cleanser derived from essential oils. Clean Skin has a cleansing and balancing blend of active ingredients which include Palmarosa essential oil (moisturising and hydrating to help fight wrinkles), Petigrain essential oil (a gentle skin anti-septic which helps to clear up excess oil and skin blemishes), Frankincense essential oil (assists skin health and vitality, reduces oily skin and rejuvenates more mature skin), Rosehip oil (good source of vitamin C, which is essential in the formation and synthesis of collagen in the skin).

Application:

Use morning and evening, massage in lightly with fingertips over the face and eye area and rinse off with water. Suitable for all skin types.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Caprylic/ Capric Trigylcerides, Cetearyl Alcohol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Sorbitan Olivate, Xanthan Gum, Polysorbate- 20, Polysorbate 60, Rosa Rubiginosa Seed Oil (Rosehip Seed Oil), Cetearyl Olivate, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Citrus Amara (Petitgrain) Oil, Cymbopogon Martinii (Palmarosa) Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalytpus) Oil, Parfum (Pure Essential Oil), Boswellia Carterii (Frankincense) Oil, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Phenoxyethanol.

I would say this has a gel/cream consistency. It claims to remove ALL make-up and dirt so I will definitely be giving this a road test.

So on to my overall thoughts of this month's box. I like the Lierac Creme Mesolift Anti-Aging Radiance so far, but I think it's a little expensive. The Lierac Comfort Peel I think will be interesting to try. I'm not a massive fan of the Deadsea Spa Magik Salt Brushing having tried them out already and a little dissapointed as it's nothing new for me to try. I have tried a few Caudalie products since purchasing various beauty boxes and they are nice enough so I will use the Caudalie Vinotherapie Nourishing Body Lotion. The Phyto PhytoBaume Color Protect Express Conditioner I'm sure will be okay too. The This Works Clean Skin For The Face I am looking forward to trying as I do like that fresh, totally clean feeling. I think this is a good box, but I would have preferred something perhaps make-up and/or nail related instead of the Deadsea Spa Magik Salt Brushing and Phyto PhytoBaume Color Protect Express Conditioner.
