POP ART GLOSSYBOX

Hi everyone. I received my Pop Art GlossyBox the other day and have not yet properly checked out the products so here are my first impressions :)

To start with I have to talk about the box itself. I love the bold pop art design. It will make a fab storage piece in my make-up collection. So now for the products:

There are 88 paint pots within the Ciate collection. It is recommended to apply two coats of this product. I love the long handle and pretty bow design of these bottles. This is a gorgeous purple shade that I am sure I will enjoy.

A 24hr moisturising mask to hydrate and soothe the skin. Instantly the product works to reduce discomfort or redness. Skin is left with a radiant and relaxed appearance. Suitable for all skin types.
Apply once or twice a week to the face and eye area for 10 mins. Massage the excess into the skin thereafter. Can be kept in the fridge for a refreshing effect.
Let's hope that this is as moisturising as it promises. With winter coming it could possibly be a saviour for parched skin like mine.
A 9-in-1 skin perfecting make-up product with a natural formula for a flawless matte look.
Apply in circular motions with fingers or a foundation brush.
I am sure I have tried a sample of this from a magazine, but I can't remember which shade. I know I didn't dislike the product, but I can't remember exact details so I will try out this mini shade and let you know my thoughts.
Encapsulating the feeling of falling in love.
Apply to the wrists and neck.
I like the simplistic bottle design. It's not too overdone and more of a classic. The scent is a little old school for me. It has rose which I am not a massive fan of. It just makes me feel older than I am.
A carbon-black mascara with hyaluronic spheres to achieve the darkest, curviest lashes possible.
Apply two coats sweeping upwards.
My mascara did have a seal, but there were a few black marks on it as well as a small chip. I am not sure if the black marks were from the print on the tube or another mascara? I do like the gold packaging and the cute bird design. A key point on a flutter mascara, although I think more of butterflies fluttering by. When I try this out I will review it for you.
A moisturising exfoliator to replenish and define the lips. Removing dead skin cells for perfectly soft lips.
Massage in circular motions for 1 minute. Remove with a damp cotton pad.
Only recently have I noticed a big change in the condition of my lips as they are extra dry and peeling. This has come at the right time so fingers crossed this works.
I think this month it's a good box. I am not a fan of the perfume as already stated and I do own similar nail shades to this one, but I can't fault GlossyBox for that.
As a side note I do miss the information card in the box. For product information you are now asked to view the GlossyBox website. A card for a sneak peek into next month's box and a competition has been included instead. Perhaps product information could be printed on the inside of the box?

TIMELESS TRUTH Q10 CAVIAR NOURISHING MASK (ELASTICITY)

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday. Yesterday I tried out another TIMELESS TRUTH beauty mask that was sent to me for review.

From the TIMELESS TRUTH luxury range this anti-ageing, revitalising beauty mask contains Co-Enzyme Q10 which helps promote skin cell turnover, reducing the visible signs of ageing giving skin a radiant glow and preserving the skin's elasticity. Ideal for sun/weather damaged and ageing skin. A brightening and moisturising product that prevents wrinkles and smoothes out fine lines.

I kept my beauty mask in the fridge for a really refreshing pick me up. After cleansing I removed the mask from this sachet. There was no outer layer to peel off before applying this mask. I pressed the mask onto my face hooking the side loops around my ears. At the bottom of the mask there is a section to pull up the chin from underneath and the ends of this section also hook over the ears. This mask by far has been the best fit. It was very comfortable to wear and stayed pressed against the face without feeling tight just secure. I left the mask on for 20mins. It is recommended to use it for 15-20 mins 3/4 times a week for optimal results. I then massaged in the essence remaining on my skin and followed on with my usual skincare.

I thought I would feel ridiculous wearing this mask because of the ear parts, but I really felt pampered and enjoyed using it. This is my favourite beauty mask out of the four I have tried from this range. The results were for me a nourished and hydrated feeling. My skin felt smooth, supple and soft and very much brightened. I love the innovative design of this mask and give it a Q10 out of 10!

TIMELESS TRUTH ORGANIC SILK FIBRE ELIXIR MASK

Hi sweeties. The rain has stopped and now we finally have some sunshine to enjoy again. I felt like a pamper today so I tried out another face mask from the TIMELESS TRUTH range.

This mask aims to improve the quality of the skin's collagen and elasticity fibres while moisturising and plumping the skin. With a cloth made of natural silk fibre this mask will leave the skin clean and fresh while also having a whitening effect to remove age spots and freckles. Suitable for all skin types.

Before I used this mask I left it in the fridge for an extra cooling effect. After cleansing I opened the sachet above and removed the white plastic backing from the mask. There were two layers of mask remaining which to me looked very similar in texture and colour. I applied the actual mask layer against my face and peeled of the blue plastic film. This was a little awkward at first because I found the textures to be very similar, but once they parted the outer layer came away easily. I adjusted the mask to fit perfectly around my face. It did fit really well and stayed in place throughout the treatment. It felt refreshing on my skin. It's meant to be left on for 15-20 mins 3 or 4 times a week. I only have this one which I left on for 20 mins. I removed the cloth mask and massaged in the residue as well as the remaining product in the pack, following on with my moisturiser.

My skin does look a little more even than before using the mask, but I think more treatments would be needed as advised for a more noticeable whitening effect. It was refreshing, but this could also be because it had been in the fridge.

I will be reviewing the last mask from this range that I have been sent to try hopefully next week. For my previous TIMELESS TRUTH mask reviews see this link!

Let me know which of the face masks I have reviewed from this range appeals to you the most in the comments below.

TIMELESS TRUTH MULTIPEPTIDE CALMING REVITALISING FACIAL BEAUTY MASK

Hi once again today folks. I have had a migraine for the last couple of days so I thought testing out this product which was sent to me to review for you would be perfect today.

This mask contains negative ions to help increase circulation aiding the relaxation of facial tension, thereby reducing fine lines and visible signs of ageing. Also revitalising the skins natural radiance while nourishing, moisturising, hydrating, softening and improving elasticity. Ideal for sensitive skin.

The mask is patterned as shown in the above photo. After cleansing I removed the plastic backing from the mask and pressed it against the contours of my face. It has a cloth texture that fits quite well, but it did stick out on my chin where the liquid from the mask did tend to drip a bit. Recommended wear is 15-20 mins 3-4 times a week. I wore mine for 20 mins. After removing the mask I squeezed the excess liquid out of the sachet shown above and massaged it into my face and neck along with the residue from the mask still on my face. It absorbed into my skin after about 1 minute. It felt a little tacky, but once I applied my usual skincare products that feeling went away.

I did feel pampered and refreshed using this mask. My skin was left feeling soft and moisturised. I do feel more relaxed and although my headache has not gone it has improved. Coincidence or not?

TIMELESS TRUTH BIO CELLULOSE APPLE STEM CELL COLLAGEN FACIAL BEAUTY MASK

Hi lovelies. I hope your weekend has been fab as always. Mine has been okay until yesterday when I had a disaster that I won't go into because I am still upset about it now. Anyway moving on to today's post. I have a review of a face mask that was sent to me to test out for you.

Apple stem cells act in a very similar way to human skin cells helping to repair damaged tissue. Marine collagen helps to promote suppleness and elasticity reducing dehydration and visible signs of ageing, instead giving a plumping and softening effect. Suitable for all skin types.

This mask was very refreshing. After use my skin felt conditioned, hydrated and as if the moisture had been locked in.

The mask seemed a bit big for me going over my hairline and stuck out a little on my chin. The eye parts were cut out, but still partly attached which wasn't an issue when using the mask, but I did wonder why they needed to be there. I have used this type of mask before and although it suggests to apply first to the chin and form around the face I prefer to align it around my eye areas first to ensure no product gets in my eyes. The mask is for single use and comes with a mesh backing that you simply peel away before applying.

It is advised to use it for 15-20 mins 3-4 times per week for the best results. Once my 20 mins was up I peeled it off and discarded it. The excess serum left in the pack I applied to my face and neck for a few minutes more so as not to waste any product. There was no apple scent that was obvious to me anyway.

I think this product worked well in what it set out to achieve. My skin felt nourished and pampered with a definite hydration boost. I do think the weird eye parts and the fit of the mask could be a little better, but I guess everyone has different face shapes and sizes.

I have a few more masks from the Timeless Truth range to test out for you so look out for those soon.

Let me know your favourite type of face masks in the comments below with reasons why.

Pond's Institute Cold Cream Cleanser

Hi loves and Happy Fathers Day to all those celebrating it today. This afternoon I am here to talk about a multi-tasking skincare product that was sent to me for free to test and review for you.

This cleansing product removes dirt and make-up deep down while hydrating your skin. It's such a versatile product that left my skin feeling and looking very glowing and radiant as well as moisturised and plumped.

The ways in which I used this product:

As a cleanser/make-up remover ~ With a cotton pad I manoeuvred the cream around my skin.

As a moisturiser ~ I massaged the product in with my fingers and my toning wand.

As a face mask/gentle exfoliation ~ I applied it all over my face and neck and after a minute or so used a warm wet face cloth to remove the product.

As a highlight ~ I dotted some onto my cheekbones for a highlight effect.

It can also be used to set the brows.

This cream has a very softening effect on the skin with a comforting old fashioned scent. The texture is not loose, but not too sturdy either. I am so glad that I got to try out this cult product. I can see why celebs such as Kylie Minogue are a fan.

Suitable for all skin types I would certainly recommend this product. When using this as a cleanser without removing make-up I didn't feel the need to moisturise afterwards so it's great for those always in a rush or on their travels.

As it keeps skin so plumped and smoothed I think it's a great anti-ageing product. My only negative is that if you apply it and don't wear any make-up it can look very reflective on the skin. This doesn't bother me, but it's something I thought I should point out.

I have linked to Tesco above as this product is currently selling for £3.00. It is also available to purchase at Boots, Sainsbury's & Superdrug.

What are your favourite cleansers? Let me know with reasons why in the comments below.

Review Of The DHC Bio Cellulose Mask

Hi there my sweet readers. I have had a bit of a busy week so finally I can now get to blogging once again. Today I have a review for you of the DHC Bio Cellulose Mask. I tried this out last Sunday and I think scared my boyfriend a bit. You will see why from the photo within this post :)

So here is a little information about this product .......

Made from fermented coconut water, the unique gel sheet mask clings to the contours of the face to deliver a hydrating serum of botanicals, vitamins and moisturisers. Ingredients include soothing neem leaf, conditioning shell ginger, hydrating amino acids and antioxidant vitamin c.
Apply to a cleansed face. Simply remove the protective films from the mask and place on the face with the tab on the right hand side. Leave for 20 minutes, then remove, pressing any remaining fluid into the skin.

I have never used a face mask like this before and it did look like something I may need for Halloween I must admit. This gel mask is a bit fiddly to apply because of it's gel texture and the liquid that saturates it. Be careful when opening the packaging as the liquid may pore out. I peeled the outer layers from both sides of the mask before applying it which I would not advise. I think it would be easier to only remove the inner layer that sits against your face, press the mask onto your face and then remove the outer layer. As a guidance the tab should be on the top right of your face. The mask can be manoeuvred to fit your face shape at this point so don't worry if it's not a perfect fit. I would just be careful around the eye area due to the liquid. I pressed the mask into my face to ensure the liquid was absorbing into my skin. This did feel a bit weird at first because of the texture, but you get used to it. Be warned you won't look pretty at this point. Think Jason in the film Halloween.
It has a cooling and refreshing feel on the skin. It didn't tingle and I had no uncomfortable sensation. It moulded pretty well to the contours of my face. Not perfectly around my eyes, but there are so many face shapes and sizes that this I could understand. I pressed the mask onto those areas that didn't sit as perfectly every now and then during my 20 minute facial treat. The mask does not slip at all. It does not feel tight either. It just seals against the skin a little more while you wear it.
When it was time to remove the mask it came off really easily and there was no pulling on the skin. As advised I pressed the excess liquid moisture leftover from the mask into my face. It felt a bit sticky though and I didn't love the smell that this liquid seemed to have, but I didn't notice it when the mask was on. I let it absorb for about 5 minutes, then gently used a face wipe to remove that sticky feeling and applied a face oil to give my skin a really good moisturise.
The results:
My skin really did feel plumped and new. It also looked smoother and more even in skin tone. My pores had closed up really well and were virtually undetectable. I really don't believe that any other skincare treatment like this could reduce them anymore. I am really impressed with the results from this mask. I think that what it did for my skin was fantastic. If you have really open or large pores I would so go and try this now. It has now been 5 days since I used the mask and my skin is still reaping the rewards. My pores are still shrunken down and my skin still looks more even than it did in tone. A top skincare product for me!
I would be happy to use this product again, but probably once a month or in preparation for an event as at the price it could be costly to use every week. I would say it's worth the price though due to the the results. Great for pamper nights in with the girls and good fun.
Tip: I read some reviews online also and someone had advised that they used the excess liquid left in the packaging and applied it to their neck. Such a great idea, but I had thrown my packaging away at this point. For those with creping around the chest area I would even suggest using it their too.
So now for the scary mask photo. Prepare yourself you have been warned!

This was the mask when first applied. Sorry I cropped the top off, but you get the idea.
You can purchase this product from dhcuk.co.uk for £7.50 per mask.
A selection of DHC products are also available at BeautyMART and Selfridges London.
Have you tried any gel masks like this before? If yes, how did they work for you? Let me know in the comments below.

Love to you all
