DHC FOAMING MESH

Hi everyone. I am not going to go into a massive ramble about why I have been away, but I am having problems with my laptop so please be patient if my posts are not as frequent.

I have been sent a great skincare tool to review that costs just £2 so read on if you want to know more.....

This is a face cloth that boosts the performance of the cleansing products you already use to remove dirt and make-up.

Simply wet the mesh as well as your face and neck. Add any cleanser of your choice into the centre of the mesh and rub between your hands to create a lather. Then hold the ring with one hand and squeeze the foam out with the other.

The amount of lather created is much more than you would get by just using your hands so you are using less of your cleansing products and saving money!

I was kindly also sent the DHC FACE WASH which works really well with this product creating a very generous foam. The face wash is very gentle so perfect for sensitive skin types.

Check out the links for more product information and also to watch the foaming mesh in action.

I use these two products now morning and night as they make removing dirt and make-up so quick and easy.

Share your favourite DHC skincare products in the comments with reasons why. I would love to hear your recommendations.

AEOS OPTIMAL ESSENTIALS PINK KIT

Hey beauties. I have recently been lucky enough to try out a whole kit of products that were kindly sent to me to sample and review.

AEOS product ingredients are grown on a farm in Lincolnshire. They have an institute where they train therapists about organic health and beauty using their products. The AEOS range is 100% organic, 100% biodynamic and 100% vegan. AEOS products include alchemical techniques along with cutting edge skincare formulas.

AEOS nurtures the earth's natural elements creating products to bring your body and therefore your mind into harmony. They work on a 3 phase system which goes as follows:

PHASE 1: RENEWAL - Cleansing products which leave skin feeling soft and receptive to the following phases.

PHASE 2: REBALANCE - Using products to add moisture and hydration back into the skin and preparing for the final phase.

PHASE 3: REPLENISH - Adding even more hydration while supporting skin regeneration to minimise the signs of aging.

AEOS products are designed to be used together and not with other synthetic ingredient brands so that maximum results can be achieved.

AEOS products work with colour significance to guide you in choosing the right products for you. I was sent the pink Optimal Essentials KitAEOS pink products are enhanced with the crystal essences of fire opal, rose quartz and rubelite. Pink is the colour of kindness, caring, warmth and love. We all need to take time to care for ourselves which is easy to forget to do. This pink kit which is said to be great for dry skin like mine seemed perfect, but did I feel the love?

Here has been my skincare routine using the pink kit:

MORNING

1. Applying the Gentle Cleansing Lotion to a damp face and neck in circular motions and rinsing off with warm water to remove impurities.

2. Twice a week in circular motions to a damp face and neck I applied the Gentle Exfoliant and rinsed off with warm water for soft smooth skin. This product can be used as needed for your skin type, but twice a week was perfect for me.

3. I patted 2 pumps of the Energising Conditioner onto my wet face and neck to soothe, calm and soften skin.

4. Then I spritzed a few sprays of the Refreshing Hydrating Mist over my face and neck. This product can be used throughout the day to refresh skin and can also be used over make-up.

5. I rubbed a small amount of the Realive Serum in my hands then patted it over my face and neck to nourish, moisturise and hydrate the skin for a radiant complexion.

6. Lastly I patted the Enriching Moisturiser onto my face and neck straight after the serum to protect and hydrate.

Now this may see like a long process, but once I got into the swing of things it took no time at all. I did not find the Gentle Exfoliant left me with irritated skin or anything for those worried about using it in the morning, but it can be used in the evening if you prefer. If hypersensitive do not exfoliate.

EVENING

1. I moistened cotton pads with warm water, adding a few drops of the Cleansing Oil De-Maq and sweeping over the face and neck. I used separate pads for each eye. This removed all impurities and make-up effectively.

2. Adding a few drops of the Dew Facial Wash to a bowl or the sink I soaked a face cloth and wrung out the excess. I then applied it as a compress over my face, repeating 3 times to condition and hydrate.

I then applied these products in the same way as above in this order:

3.Energising Conditioner.

4. Refreshing Hydrating Mist.

5. Realive Serum.

6. Enriching Moisturiser.

I really enjoyed the ritual of applying all products, especially in the evenings as it really felt like I was 'taking the day off' my skin and starting to unwind. The Cleansing Oil De-Maq when applied with warm wet cotton pads is just heaven. Especially when followed up with the compress of the Dew Facial Wash.

As you may notice the kit also comes with the Beauty Body Shower. This shower gel was lovely. It had a real zingy awakening feel that made me feel brighter.

There is also a Beauty Body Lotion that I have to admit I am not a fan of due to the scent. I did try it out, but it's just not for me.

I was also sent the Unfragranced Skin Replenisher Rich+ Cream separately which again I am sad to say was not for me because of the scent.

This was a whole new way of looking at skincare for me. This kit encouraged me to take the time to enjoy the experience of the scents and the application of each product. It felt like I was taking care of me in a simple yet very pampering way. I know that you may think you just don't have time for all these products, but if you have time to sit and watch TV for 10mins then what's the difference?

These are a lovely kit of products that did bring me an inner peace at the end of the day. So if you would like to try this at home spa experience for yourself perhaps throw a few hints this Valentine's Day or even just treat yourself. You just have to know you are worth caring for.

Check out the kits here!

DHC FACE WASH POWDER

Hey gorgeous people. I have been asked to try out and review for you a product from one of my favourite skincare brands DHC.

Although I have never tried this product before I wanted to let you know that it has been repackaged and reformulated. This is an extremely mild cleansing exfoliator that feels so gentle on the skin. It's very creamy and lathers well. Simply flip open the lid, shake the powder into the palm of your hand and mix with a little water. It deeply cleanses the skin without stripping the skins natural pH. The formula dissolves surface dead skin cells while softening and moisturising the skin. Suitable for all skin types.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using this product. While in the shower I massage it in daily. I do not remove my make-up beforehand so I do end up looking like the crow. Then I wipe away the eye make-up from under my eyes. Usually the next morning I end up resembling a panda where other products have failed to remove all traces of make-up, but this product removes it all 100%.

For sensitive skin types I would suggest giving this a try as it's so mild, although it does contain alcohol.

Let me know your faves from the DHC line in the comments below.

DHC PORE CLEANSING OIL & PORE FACE WASH

Hello sweeties. I am back again today with a skincare review post of 2 DHC products that were sent to me to test for you.

As we age pores become enlarged making skin appear dull and uneven. To help minimise the appearance of pores cult Japanese brand DHC have added to their successful pore series range these 2 cleansers leaving the skin feeling clean, healthy and refreshed.

This cleansing oil removes make-up, dirt and excess sebum (oil) unclogging pores to make them less visible. This pumps out easily as a clear liquid. One pump covers my entire face and neck. I massaged it in with dry hands onto dry skin before showering it off.

You only need to use a small amount of the product from this tube for a full on soapy lather. It is said to feature 2 gentle exfoliants, but don't worry as there are no granules in the formula. I applied this after the cleansing oil. I really liked how it thoroughly cleansed my face and neck. Do be careful not to sniff with it near your nose though as it did feel a bit tingly and uncomfortable the first time I did just that, but I was just more careful when using there after.

Overall I really like this skincare combo. I fully admit that I do not have particularly enlarged pores, but I wanted to try these for their other benefits. Each time after use my face and neck felt thoroughly cleansed, free from dirt and make-up. I have dry skin by nature, but these did not leave my skin feeling tight or uncomfortable. The face wash does however have an effect of almost firming the skin so its smooth and taut, but still supple. This is why I believe anyone with enlarged pores would benefit from this pair. My only bad point I guess is that my eye make-up I had to remove separately. The packaging I think is a really nice change from the white most skincare brands tend to use with its baby blue hue.

FACE, HAIR & BODY REVIEWS: DERMALOGICA, SOAP & GLORY AND IMPULSE

Hello again for my last post of today. I have three products in this review post for you so I will crack on and tell you about them.

I was sent a great package of products from the Dermalogica Clear Start line by a PR company around Xmas time. This is the first one that I have used up. You can use this product on your face and body to clear dead skin cells, dirt and excess oils that clog pores and cause breakouts. So for those of you looking to reduce any breakouts that you may already have and lessen the chance of future breakouts this may be worth a try. I don't have trouble with a lot of blemishes, but I did enjoy using this product. The scent is very clean and fresh, not medicated at all. The gel formula foams up nicely leaving thoroughly fresh and refreshed skin.

This was part of a Xmas gift set. Designed for use on all hair types this no build up formula is meant to gloss, smooth, moisturise, repair and strengthen your hair. This product was a winner for me. The scent is that of the classic Soap & Glory. Very fruity and soft all in one. So what did it do for my hair? I did the two wash process that I do every time I wash my hair to ensure all products are removed. Even after the first wash my hair feels so much thicker in the shower. The scent is amazing and the pink liquid formula works wonders in expanding my hair strands. I would definitely pick this up in the future after using up my other products. Such great value for a 250ml tube.

I picked this up in the 99p Store, but they currently have this on the Superdrug website for 99p which I have linked above. With notes of freesias, muguet and amber this fragrance is gorgeous. It's a very fresh and beautiful floral scent which I would definitely pick up again.

So what have been your favourite face washes, shampoos and body sprays at the moment? Let me know with reasons why in the comments below.

Tropic Face Smooth Brightening Polish

Hi there my little Easter bunnies. How has your Saturday been so far? I have had such a bad head since last night that it's making me feel sickly so I thought what better way to distract myself than blogging :)

Today I have a skincare product to review for you. This product was sent to me for free to try out and let you know my thoughts.

This is the Tropic Face Smooth Brightening Polish. This is Tropic's best selling face product with 100% natural ingredients which include:

Acai Berry ~  The strongest known antioxidant containing vitamins, omegas and minerals to visibly boost skin vitality.

Organic Rice Flower ~ Helps in reducing skin redness and pore size as well as treating blemishes, wrinkles and pigmentation.

Sugar Cane ~ Contains natural alpha hydroxy acids that gently exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin promoting a brighter complexion.

Sweet Almond ~ Contains powerful monounsaturated acids that promote skin elasticity. Softens and soothes the skin without clogging pores.

Vitamin E ~ A powerful antioxidant essential in maintaining youthful, nourished & healthy skin.

Camomile ~ Effective on sensitive skins as it contains skin healing & anti-inflammatory properties as well as reducing skin puffiness.

Golden Jojoba ~ A soft, liquid wax that cleans clogged pores & restores the skin's natural pH balance.

Sweet Orange ~ Sweet, fresh and tangy. Also an antiseptic.

Lemon ~ Refreshing, bright and uplifting.

Application:

Scoop out the product with a spatula and use wet hands to gently massage onto dry skin in circular and upward motions for 1 minute, focusing on areas around the nose, chin and forehead. Avoid the eye area. Rinse off with warm water and splash your face with cold water to close pores. Pat dry and follow with Tropic Skin Revive if needed. Use 2-3 times a week. Sensitive skins should wet the face first before application and work the product in as above.

The lid for this pot unscrews easily, but the seal on the actual pot itself is quite tough to break through. I managed to pierce my nail through it which went into the product so an easy peel tab may be a good idea on this as some people may have difficulty. I would also suggest opening it on a flat surface.

I didn't bother using a spatula to scoop this out of it's container as quite simply I didn't have one. Instead I  scooped it out with my hands. It did leave a mess down the side of my bath due to it's runny mixture, but it's easily washed away. It might be nice to have a spatula provided with the product as it is suggested for use. Even a squeezy tube I think would be better.

I wanted to try this without wetting my face for the first use so I began massaging it in as directed, but found it a bit uncomfortable so thought I might be better wetting my face on my next use. The granules in it are not large, but there are lots of them to provide that exfoliation and polish.

Wetting my face first worked much better for me and I really enjoyed the product much more. The scent is so fresh and uplifting. I have the product sitting next to me now while I blog away. I really like the combination of the orange and lemon. It reminds me that summer is coming.

When I massaged this in it felt like it was removing all the dirt and uneven texture on my face and neck. When washing the product off I felt like I had a new layer of skin, no kidding. It leaves a kind of smooth veil that is not greasy, but more like a balm.

Because my skin is obviously on the more sensitive side when it comes to using this product I will only use this twice a week.

I can seriously see why this is a best seller for Tropic and at the moment this is reduced in price from £15.00 down to £12.00 for 100ml, Link. A little goes a long way with this product so for skin care lovers this is great value. Well done to Tropic's founder and Apprentice finalist Susan Ma as well as investor Lord Alan Sugar.

As well as the website in the link above you can also find out more about Tropic and it's products on Twitter @TropicSkinCare and on Facebook

Have you tried any Tropic Skin Care products? Which ones do you like/dislike and why? Let me know in the comments below.

May 2012 Empties

Hello Gorgeous. Yeah that's all of you. I really want to get into this post straight away today as I have so many products to talk about. I am going to share with you my thoughts on the products I used up in May.

Face Wash, Make-Up Removers, Face Serum & Face Cream

Left To Right:

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, £18.40 for 197ml

This product came in my October Feelunique Beauty Box, Link. This face wash smells like bubblegum which I love. The exfoliating beads didn't do much for me so I used this purely as a face wash.

Bioré Make-Up Removing Wipes

I need to get some more of these. I received these for free to review. You can find my review post here. The regular price for a pack of 25 wipes was £3.99 from Superdrug, but I have never seen them in my local store and I can no longer find them on the Superdrug website. Do any of you lovelies know where I can find them? Please help as they make me skin feel sooooooo smooth.

Taaj Himalaya Micellar Water, £16.97 for 500ml

I received this product in my February JolieBox, Link. This was an okay make-up remover. Just enough came out of the top when tipped onto a cotton wool pad. It's a bit too herbally for me as I started thinking about marinating something every time I used it. Just not for me. The last time I used this I managed to slice my finger quite badly by closing the lid which is now just healing :(

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum, £26.10 for 30ml

I received this product in my April GlossyBox, Link. This was a bit too runny for me. I prefer more of a thicker face serum.

Tropic Skincare Skin Revive, £15.95 for 50ml

I received this product in my April JolieBox, Link. This was a nice enough cream to use on my face, but I am still undecided on whether or not I like the scent.

Multi-tasker, Shower Washes & Body Exfoliation

Left To Right:

DR Bronner's Magic Liquid Soap, £3.14 - £11.69 for 118ml - 944ml

I received this product in my February GlossyBox, Link. This can be used in a number of ways, but I only used it for three. As a toothpaste it is awful. It literally is brushing your teeth with liquid soap. Horrible! As a hand wash it was okay. I used this mostly as a shower wash. It is refreshing because of the peppermint, but do be careful when washing down below as it's extremely tingly. You have been warned!

Marks & Spencer La Maison de Senteurs Body Wash, £3.50 for 200ml

I received this product as a Xmas present from a friend, Link. I love this baby soft scent which I am a sucker for.

Rituals Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel Sensation, £6.50 for 200ml

I received this product in my December GlossyBox, Link. This foaming shower gel has such a gorgeous scent. So sensual and sexy.

Yardley Luxury Body Wash (English Lavender), £2.63 for 200ml

I received this product in my March JolieBox, Link. This was okay to use and has quite a spa relaxing scent to it.

Beyonce Heat Pearl Exfoliating Shower Gel

I bought this as part of a gift set in the January 2011 sales from ASOS. I love the scent of this. It's very warm and sensual. The exfoliating beads didn't do anything in the way of exfoliation for me so I used a separate body exfoliator. If you Google this product there are a few links for it, but you may want to purchase the gift set if you really like the scent.

Body Scrub, Shave Gel & Anti-Perspirant Deodorants

Left To Right:

Primark Ooh La SPA DO NOT DISTURB Salt Scrub

I really like the style of this jar. I think the rubber seal shown tucked behind the jar was purely to keep the product sealed in before opening as I never put it back after opening it. I think this was only a couple of pounds at the time, but I bought it so long ago. I don't think they sell this anymore, sorry. This did feel really nice to use though. It's a kind of sugar scrub. I do like the fresh scent of this too.

Gillette Satin Care Floral Passion Shave Gel, £3.25 for 200ml, $19.59 for a pack of six 7 ounce cans

I received this as part of my Xmas goodies, Link. I usually always buy the Gillete shave gels as I like how they feel on my skin. The scent of this product is floral but quite subtle.

Superdrug Essential Anti-Perspirant Deodorant

One of the products I received as part of my Xmas gifts, Link. The other can I purchased myself. I have previously reviewed this here. This is not shown on the Superdrug website, but I think it's around 69p for a 200ml can.

Body Creams & Scents

Left To Right:

Beyonce Heat Gold Sparkling Body Lotion

I bought this as part of the gift set that I mentioned earlier in this post. This has the same sensual scent. The gold sparkle in this product is very subtle.

Baylis & Harding England Skin Spa Body Butter, £14.99 for the Drawer Set

I received this as part of a gift set for my birthday, Link. This has a pretty rose, ylang ylang & patchouli scent. This was a nice cream to use. I would say it is more of a cream than a body butter as it has a looser consistency than a lot of body butters.

Hello Kitty Liberty Body Butter

I received this product as part of my Xmas gifts, Link. I previously reviewed this product here. This range was Limited Edition at Boots around Xmas time, but you may be able to find this on Ebay or Amazon.

Barbie Fab Floral Spritz, £3.10 for 100ml

I purchased this product from Avon, Link in October. I think the bottle is so cute and so pink, yay :) This was nice enough to use. I may keep the bottle to fill with water when I want to spray my make-up brushes to apply pigments.

Lolita Lempicka L'Eau en Blanc, £49.00 - £65.00 for 50ml / 100ml

I received this product in my May GlossyBox. Check out this Link for my thoughts on this product.

Fendi Fan Di Fendi Eau De Toilette, $67.00 for 1.7oz, £33.95 for 30ml / £57.00 for 75ml

I received this product in my March GlossyBox. You can check out this Link to see my thoughts on this scent.

Toothpaste, Lip Salves, Hand Creams & Foundation

Left To Right:

Macleans Total Health Toothpaste, £2.13 for 100ml

My Mum picked this up for me and it tastes fine. I prefer to buy whitening toothpastes, but Mum picked up the wrong one. I forgive you Mum. I prefer flip top lids on toothpaste though. I want to try some of the Crest White Strips so if you know the best place to order them please let me know and which ones out of the range work best for you.

Lip Lishuss! Vanilla Scent Lip Balm

I received this product in a pack of two as part of my Xmas gifts, Link. I have no idea where you can buy Lip Lishuss! products. This product is too vanilla for me. It is a lotion consistency with granules. I don't like how it feels applying it to my lips.

LP Skin Therapy (Lip Rescue Gel), £15.00 for 8ml

I received this product in my July GlossyBox, Link. When I first received this product I really liked it because of the orange scent and the doe foot applicator, but my boyfriend has been hating this. He doesn't like the way this feels on my lips and I kind of know what he means. It coats your lips with a kind of rubbery barrier and is no good at all if you want to apply any lip products over the top as they just won't adhere to your lips with this on. This has lasted ages though.

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Hand Lotion, £4.25 for 250ml

I really like the scent of this. It's a very calming spa aroma. The pump design is what really attracted me to this product. I had used the Body Lotion from this range for such a long time, but for some reason it started reacting badly to my skin. Other products in this range that I had already bought seem okay at the moment though.

Arbonne FC5 Ultra-Hydrating Hand Creme

I received this item in my November GlossyBox, Link. This product felt so nice to use and the tube seemed to last forever. The tube is a little bland, but the product makes up for it. I would Google this product if you are interested in purchasing it as there are lots of links with various prices/sizes for it.

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum SPF 15 - Natural 50, £12.99 for 30ml from Boots or Superdrug

I received this product for free and I have previously reviewed it here. My boyfriend commented about a month ago that I was looking a bit orange with this on so I went for the lighter shade of Light Ivory, but it's a bit too light for even me. My boss actually asked me if I was feeling okay the first time I wore it as I looked so pale. I have been mixing it with my Eyeko Tinted Cream and I think it works better.

The products I would buy in the future are:

Bioré Make-Up Removing Wipes

Marks & Spencer La Maison de Senteurs Body Wash

Rituals Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel Sensation

Primark Ooh La SPA DO NOT DISTURB Salt Scrub

Gillette Satin Care Floral Passion Shave Gel

Superdrug Essential Anti-Perspirant Deodorant

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Hand Lotion

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum SPF 15

So that's all of my May Empties. I hope you found this post useful. Which products have you been loving and loathing in May?

Love to you all

April 2012 Empties

Hello Beauties. I have the house all to myself today so I thought I would crack on and write my April 2012 Empties post. Here we go.

Face

 Left To Right:

3 x Johnson's Baby Cotton Pads

99p For Each Pack Of 50 Pads From 99p Stores

£2.00 For 50 Pads from boots.com

The Information:

Johnson's Baby Cotton Pads are made from the highest quality 100% cotton to bring you wonderfully soft cotton wool that is ideal for all your baby, skincare and beauty needs.

My Thoughts:

I previously reviewed these in my March 2012 Empties post here.

Me To You Handy Wipes Orange Scented

£1.00 For A Pack Of 80 Wipes From Poundland

My Thoughts:

I also reviewed these in my March 2012 Empties post here.

Wash & Mask Cleanser

Sample was free with a magazine

My Thoughts:

I am really sorry as I have no idea what brand this is or even the name of the product because it doesn't say. Totally random I know. This product is dermatologically tested. It is a wash & mask cleanser. I used this as a face wash by wetting my face and massaging it into my skin. I then rinsed the product off while in the shower. It advises to use it like this twice daily. You can however use this as a mask also up to 3 times a week by wetting your face, leaving it on for 3 minutes and rinsing it off. This is a nice enough face wash, but I have no idea of price or anything else because it doesn't say. If you know then please advise.

Soap & Glory Clean Mary Cleansing Milk

£4.00 For 180ml From boots.com

Various Prices On ebay.co.uk

The Information:

Clean Mary includes a natural, seaweed derived non-acid exfoliating complex and PORESHRINK-RS that helps reduce dead skin cell build-up (and therefore helps prevent blackheads!)

It also contains:
  • ANDIROBA OIL (a rich Amazonian oil) renowned for skin smoothing & soothing
  • PANTHENOL (provitamin B5) conditions and protects the skin
  • ORCHID FRUIT, VANILLA & MANGO EXTRACTS as natural, refreshing & reviving aromas
  • VITAMIN E that supports the skins moisture content
Suitable for all skin types - Breaks down make-up!

Application:

Rub 3 or 4 pumps of Clean Mary onto your face & neck, then massage in circles, giving large pores priority. Rinse well or wipe off with a damp cotton pad, pat dry and then apply moisturiser.

My Thoughts:

I received this as a gift one Xmas before I started blogging. I use my face washes in the shower otherwise I would probably be too lazy to use them. I was not too impressed with this product because it's so milky and runny that you end up wasting product as it slips from your hands as you go to apply it. I did not notice any exfoliation with this product at all so I used a separate face exfoliator. It has a refreshing scent, but because of the negatives I have mentioned I would not buy this product.

Left To Right:

Pure Revitalising Eye Make-Up Remover

£1.00 For 200ml From Poundland

The Information:

A gentle soothing make-up remover for delicate skin and eyes. Gentle formula contains aloe vera and honey for added goodness. Amazing Value at just £1!

Application:

Apply to cotton wool and wipe gently around the eye area without rubbing. Avoid getting into the eyes.

My Thoughts:

Now I don't want to advise you to do this because it is not marketed as a full face cleanser/make-up remover, but that's how I used it. I do want to find a make-up remover/cleanser that removes dirt and make-up more quickly and effectively, but for £1.00 this has lasted me ages. This is a cream product with a very subtle scent.

Kimia Rejuvenating Facial System

£69.00 For 30ml Of Facial Oil & 100ml Of Facial Hydra-Activator From onlynaturals.co.uk

£74.00 For 30/100ml From kimia.co.uk

£69.00 For 30ml Of Facial Oil & 100ml Of Facial Hydra-Activator From lovelula.com

£65.00 For The System From naturesboutique.com

£69.00 For The System From naturisimo.com

The Information:

Kimia Exquisite All Natural Face Oil is based on a unique selection of the purest and most potent natural oils, sourced from around the world and carefully blended in a process developed through advanced research. While some of these ingredients combine to stimulate rejuvenation of the skin cells, others have cleansing, refining and nourishing properties. The Kimia oil-based serum is the dynamic element of the system that stimulates this active and continuous cell renewal.
These effects are activated and enhanced by Kimia Hydra-activator, a hydra-based formula that creates a synergistic effect when applied with the oil, increasing the absorption of the oil into the skin and accelerating the removal of dead cells, and leaving your skin velvety smooth with a non-greasy feel and look.

The Kimia Hydra-activator contains refined extracts of Lady’s Mantle. This special plant produces its own drops of moisture – so-called celestial water – and was renowned in ancient times for its magical powers. For centuries it was used in alchemy, a process believed to turn any compound into pure gold – the Kimia Glow.

Ingredients:

Kimia 100% Natural Facial Oil: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Sweet Almond Oil), Hamamelis Virginiana Extract (Witch Hazel), Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Calendula Officinalis Oil (Calendula), Rosa Damascene Flower Oil (Rose), Salvia Sclarea Oil, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E), Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula), Rosa Moschata Oil (Rosehip), Vaccinium Macrocarpon Seed Oil (Cranberry), Citrus Aurantium Amara (Neroli).
Kimia Hydra-Activator: Water, Alcohol*, Mentha Piperita Water (Peppermint), Rosmarinus Officinalis Distillate (Rosemary), Alchemilla Vulgaris (Lady's Mantle), Hamamelis Virginiana Distillate (Witch Hazel), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera), Lavandula Angustifolia Water (Lavender), Melissa Officinalis Distillate (Lemon Balm) * Naturally fermented grain alcohol.

My Thoughts:

I received this in my February Feelunique Beauty Box. You can see my initial impressions of this product here. This was nice enough as a body wash, but it's more masculine in scent than I would pick for myself. The bottle is quite messy as the product seeps out around the top when you use it. Not great for travellers. The writing on the bottle has also started rubbing off.

Baylis & Harding England Skin Spa Steam Shower Body Cleanser

Included In This £19.99 3 Piece Box Set From argos.co.uk

Included In This £5.00 4 Piece Gift Set From debenhams.com

My Thoughts:

I received this product as part of a gift set for my birthday in January. You can see that post here. I like the scent of this product. The product itself was nice, but I did waste some because of the large opening at the top of the bottle. Wet hands in the shower do not help.

Hello Kitty Liberty Body Wash

£6.00 From amazon.co.uk

Application:

Massage gently over body using hands, flannel or body puff. Rinse well under running water.

My Thoughts:

I received this product for Xmas. You can find that post here. I am a massive Hello Kitty fan so how could I not love this. The packaging is gorgeous. The Hello Kitty Liberty range came out at Xmas time and was sold in Boots Pharmacy and at boots.com. This product has a pretty, sweet scent that is still subtle enough. My favourite thing about this though is the pump dispenser. I think all shower washes should have a pump design. You could refill this though with any product if you like pump designs too.

Application:

Gently rub shave gel over wet skin to produce a rich lather for a smooth shave.

My Thoughts:

I received this as part of my Xmas presents. You can see that post here. I like most fruits, but I can not stand the taste of apricots. This shave gel however smelt really nice. I usually use Gillette shave gels because they give a a good lather and a smooth shave.

Primark Grapefruit Body Scrub

£1.50 For 150ml From Primark

My Thoughts:

I previously reviewed this product in my March 2012 Empties post, Link :) as my Mum gave me two tubes.

My Thoughts:

I received this product in my March 2012 GlossyBox: The Harrods Edition. You can find that post here. This cream I liked because it sank into my skin instantly without leaving and sticky residue. There was no need to wait before getting dressed. There is only a very subtle scent to this product. I wouldn't pay this price for a body cream though.

My Thoughts:

I received this product as part of a gift set for Xmas. You can find that post here. I have used this product before when my boyfriend purchased a gift set of this for me the previous Xmas. This has a very nice soft rose scent.

Hello Kitty Liberty Body Butter

99p From ebay.co.uk

£8.00 For Four Piece Gift Set From amazon.co.uk

My Thoughts:

I received this product as part of a gift set for Xmas. You can find that post here. This has really cute packaging and the same sweet scent as the body wash mentioned earlier in this post from the Hello Kitty Liberty collection. This was great until I neared the bottom of the jar where the product got under my nails as I scooped it out. It did last ages though.

Baylis & Harding England Skin Spa Rich Intensive Body Cream

Various Prices/Sizes From shopkiwi.co.uk

My Thoughts:

I received this for my birthday as part of a gift set. You can see that post here. This was a nice cream, but the hard bottle made it a bit difficult to get the product at the end of the bottle out. Too much product sometimes came out at the beginning of use due to the large opening at the top.

Left To Right:

A vibrant fragrance that combines the freshness of bergamot, star of anise, peppermint, ginger, boxwood, and mandrake. A magical potion that acts as a soothing balm for the skin.

This is a fragrance intended for men or women on a quest for mystery, sensuality, and elegance.

Hints and Tips:

The citrusy and aromatic head notes stands out more in eau de toilette. Choose this concentration for a light holding and to create a discreet trail.

My Thoughts:

I received this product in my December Feelunique Beauty Box. You can find that post here. I really like the look of this bottle, but I think it usually comes in a different version as shown in the links above. I wasn't sure about this scent at first, but I did get a couple of compliments at work when wearing this.

My Thoughts:

I received this for free as it was sent to me to review. You can see my first impressions post here. I love the little flower at the top of this bottle, but it is a little irritating that it fell off every time I took the lid off. I really like the look of this Orange Blossom range from Di Palomo. It's my favourite look of all of their ranges. I would be happy to purchase this product in the future as it's such a sexy scent that's just bold enough.

Superdrug Crush Body Spray From The Essential Range

99p At Time Of Purchase From Superdrug

My Thoughts:

I purchased this product in this haul post, Link :) I love the body sprays I picked up from this range. They are such good value and great scents. Check out the link above for my thoughts on the scent.

My Thoughts:

I received this as a Xmas gift. You can see that post here. I am really sorry to whoever bought this for me as I really can't remember, but I instantly did not like this scent when I sprayed it on. I have used it once and only once. It is therefore not actually one of my empties, but I will be definitely giving this away. If this is what Paris smells like then I ain't ever going to Paris!

No7 Protect & Perfect Hand Cream

The Information:

As the weather changes, your skin can react by becoming dryer and tighter than normal. The thing is, we're all used to taking care of the skin on our face, but what about our hands? They're often exposed to the elements, so it's time to give them a little TLC too.

No7 Protect & Perfect Hand Cream quickly absorbs into your skin, leaving your hands beautifully soft and smooth. Plus the unique formula reduces the appearance of fine lines - evening out your skin tone in just two weeks, and helping to fade away age spots in just four weeks. The great thing is, even after you've washed your hands, the cream keeps replenishing and conditioning your skin, moisturising your cuticles and strengthening your nails.

Application:

Smooth into hands every morning and any time they need a little extra care.

My Thoughts:

I bought this product ages ago which is why the packaging looks slightly different in the links above. I am not really a fan of this product as it's a little greasy for me and takes a bit too much effort to work into the skin. As a side note this has a whitening complex to help fade age spots which I wonder if will not work well for people who fake tan or darker skin tones?
