FLORAL CROWN D.I.Y.

Hey lovelies. How has your bank holiday weekend been so far? We had some company over last night and enjoyed some Chinese.

I do enjoy nights in, but I am still enjoying the warmer, sunnier evenings when they do appear. With sunshine, summer and festival season in mind I created my own floral crown.

I ordered a pack of 3 headbands from Ebay, link!

I picked up these yellow roses which come in a bunch of about 10 from the 99p Store.

I cut each rose stem from the bunch and pushed the leaves up the stems so they sat under each rose head. I used some old scissors to cut the stems, but wire cutters would be better. Bending the wires a little helps them to snap.

It's a bit fiddly, but I twisted each rose around the headband as tightly as I could. I just kept adding roses until I was happy with the result.

Obviously the headband can be worn as shown above or more forward depending on your preference.

The 3 headbands were £1.85 so to make one of these headbands cost me about £1.60.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN USING WIRE CUTTERS/SCISSORS AND ASK FOR HELP FROM PARENTS/GUARDIANS WHERE NECESSARY.

Let me know what you think of my floral crown in the comments below.

CHEAP FLOWER GARLAND HEADBANDS

Hi lovelies. I have the house to myself for a while today so I wanted to blog as much as possible as I will be returning to work tomorrow after a week off. It's crazy how the time has flown. I hope you have all had a good week.

I posted earlier this week about some flower garland headbands that I recently purchased on Ebay, link! Two more arrived later that day from another seller. I wasn't expecting them for another 2-3 weeks which is why I didn't wait to put them all in the same haul.

Anyway enough rambling and here they are .......

These headbands come in three colours of pink, beige and blue. The blue was sold out at the time I purchased these. The beige shade is more of an off white. The stretchy headband part shows as black in the sellers photos, but my beige (off white) one has a white band. This is fine for me, but for anyone that might not like this I thought you should know.

If you know of any places to buy pretty hair accessories like these that are not too expensive then let me know in the comments below.

FLOWER GARLAND HEADBANDS FOR SUMMER & FESTIVALS

Hi sweeties. How rubbish is the weather right now. We are meant to be out of the April showers so what's going on?

Moving on to something much more pretty and fun is my flower garland headband haul :)

This fuchsia and white band has smaller flowers than the other bands, but they are still a good size. This comes with an elasticated band that looks silky on the outside, but not on the inside so it should stay easily in place. It also comes in a multi-pastel and white option.

I love the colours of these flowers which is why I bought them all :) They are attached to a plaited cord band which has a stretchy part at the back.

I think these are great accessories that are so easy to make any outfit more interesting. Great for summer parties, festivals, weddings or if you are like me any time anywhere :)

Let me know where you purchase your flower hair bands in the comments below.

Love to you all

Haul: Ebay Cold Shoulder T-Shirt Dresses

Hi lovelies and happy Saturday. I am back again today with another post of a wee haul for you. I have been on the hunt for t-shirt dresses recently, but I didn't want to pay the earth for long t-shirts and so when I stumbled upon these items on Ebay I knew I had to get them.

These cold shoulder t-shirt dresses are the exact style I was looking for and at the best price I have found. The material is a bit see through, but I plan to wear a vest dress underneath which will easily solve this. These are £6.99 each, but when you purchase 2 or more eligible items as I did from the seller rogue-accessories they end up at £6.64 each, plus free delivery as they were 5% off. They also sell many other items if you scroll down in the link above.

I don't shop on Ebay that much, but I think I should search on there a lot more as I am sure I can find some other bargains :)

What are your most treasured Ebay finds? Let me know in the comments below.

So that's all folks. As you can see if I can buy items in more than one shade I usually do :) If you want any of these items make sure to put your bids in soon as most of the auctions end this Saturday 7th September!

Have you seen anything that you like in this shoe sale? Let me know your favourites in the comments below.

NOTD: E.L.F. Fair Pink Nail Polish

Hey lovelies. I hope you are having a sweet Sunday. Where the heck has the sun gone eh? I have just painted my nails so here is the polish I used.

I applied one coat of my Rimmel base coat followed by four coats of this E.L.F. Nail Polish in the shade Fair Pink. This is a really milky white baby pink shade. I do adore the end result, but I must admit after the third coat I almost called it a day. I can't stand streaky nail polish so I gave the fourth coat a go and I'm glad I did. The finish is now opaque yet it took some work to get there. I know pale milkier shades usually apply more translucent and streaky, but I wasn't certain that this was going to finish nicely as too many layers can end up with too thick a coat on the nail that just ends up smudging and creasing. If you like this type of shade and you are happy to apply four coats to get this finish then that's great, but if you are more impatient then I am sure there are other brands that provide a similar result with less coats needed. I finished the manicure with my Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Nail Spray.

Unfortunately I have looked on both the UK and US E.L.F. websites and this shade no longer appears to be available. I did however find it on ebay.com for $5.75 with free shipping.

What are your favourite E.L.F. Nail Polish shades? What are your favourite pale pink shades from any brand? Let me know in the comments below.

NOTD: Chocolate For Easter

Hey Everyone. Happy Easter Monday, Bank Holiday, April Fools Day. I hope you are all sweet. Speaking of sweet I felt chocolate inspired by the Easter festivities so I thought I would paint some choctastic nails :)

I applied one coat of my Rimmel base coat. I then applied two coats of my Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure (630 Haute Chocolate) to my accent nail (second from right) and three coats of my E.L.F. Nail Polish (Chocolate) to the remaining nails.

I received this Sally Hansen Polish in my October GlossyBox and I have previously reviewed it here. There are many stockists for Sally Hansen products which you can find in this link. This product usually retails at £6.99 for 14.7ml. I also found this here for $7.99 plus shipping.

This E.L.F. Nail Polish (Chocolate) is a much thinner formula and goes on quite streaky. There is also a hair on the brush that is longer than the others that I need to try and trim as it leave speckles at my cuticles and makes applying the polish more tricky than it needs to be. This is a much deeper brown than it looks in the bottle. It is a true chocolate shade. This retails for £2.50 on eyeslipsface.co.uk and $2.00 on eyeslipsface.com. Just copy and paste the E.L.F. web addresses into your search engine as the links always fail when I add them to posts. I wouldn't say I would recommend this E.L.F. Nail Polish though as it began chipping the night I applied it so not good.

I sealed the manicure with my Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Nail Spray.

What nails have you been wearing this Easter? Any creative designs or chocolate shades? Let me know in the comments below.

August 2012 Empties

Hi Everyone. This week has gone really quick. I find it really hard to remember what day I'm in at the moment. Today I want to show you the products I have used up in August and my thoughts on them.

Left To Right:

Me To You 80 Handy Wipes Orange Scented, £1.00 From Poundland

Previously reviewed here.

Johnson's Baby Cotton Pads, 99p From 99p Stores

Previously reviewed here.

Beauty Formulas Deep Action Pore Cleanser, 99p From 99p Stores

This product is said to be suitable for all skin types. It's a cream cleanser that you simply squeeze onto cotton wool and wipe over the face morning and night. This was nice enough to use. It had a light blue colour to it which I think is quite unusual as most creams are white or cream in shade. This had a very gentle scent.

L'Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream, 99p From Ebay Plus Delivery

I received this product in my June 2012 JolieBox. This was a nice face cream to use. It felt very fresh and smooth on the skin.

Left To Right:

Aquafresh Extreme Clean Intense Rush Toothpaste, 48p through mysupermarket.co.uk

My fella brought this with him when we moved in together so we both used this. It is nice and minty as most toothpastes are. I'm not much of a fan of screw tops on toothpastes. I'm more of a flip top kind of girl.

2 x 100 Johnson's Cotton Buds, 41p for 200 buds from amazon.co.uk

Poundland used to sell these in packs of 200 buds for £1.00, but this is no longer the case :( I have found them much cheaper in the link above though :) Previously reviewed here.

Balea Shave Gel With Olive Oil For Dry Skin, 99p from 99p Stores

I received this from my Mum for Xmas. I know where it's from as I used to buy it for myself. This has a mousse type of formula, but it is a bit more smooth like a gel too. It works well for the price. There is not much of a scent to it.

I received these for Xmas from my fella's Mum. Previously reviewed here.

Gillette Razor, Price Unknown

I'm sorry I can't tell you the price of this product as I just picked it up on a trip to Morrison's recently and I can't find the receipt. It came in a pack of about 4 I think. I like the grip of this handle. It's made of plastic and rubber. These are not too sharp so I don't nick myself as easily as I would with the Bic razors, but it still does a good job.

Left To Right:

Boots Soltan Moisturising Aftersun Lotion, £4.25 in a pack with the suncare lotion SPF15 from ebay.co.uk

I think that fella of mine nicked this from his Mum when we moved. The second time I got badly burnt this year was in my garden after applying sun lotion throughout the day. I'm a sensitive soul don't ya know :( I was not amused and in need of some cooling relief. This lotion did feel very cooling. I think the packaging of this product has changed now or it may be a different product entirely as Boots is showing 'hydrating' creams in this range as opposed to this 'moisturising' one?

Boots Mango & Orange Blossom Shower Gel, £1.29 from Boots

Previously reviewed here.

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Foaming Cream Scrub, £3.99 plus delivery from ebay.co.uk

My fella bought me this a couple of Xmas' back as part of a gift set. This was a nice scrub that had a sheen to it, although it did not look shiny on my skin after use. I do like the scent and the size of the scrub particles. I did become sensitive to the body lotion from this range at Sanctuary which is why I put off using this, but this product did not cause a reaction on my skin at all.

Superdrug Essential Anti-Perspirant Deodorant, Was approx 69p, but I believe no longer available

Previously reviewed here.

Left To Right:

Caudalie Eaux Fraiches (Zeste De Vigne), £26.00 from uk.caudalie.com

I received this in my June 2012 GlossyBox. My thoughts are the same as my initial impressions in that post. Two friends at work said they liked this fragrance.

I think this is known as the Original fragrance from Juicy Couture. I have had this bottle for a few years now and believe me I have savoured every last drop. My fella bought me this in a gift set one Xmas that came with the body lotion and shower gel. I adore this fragrance. If I had to pick one scent for the rest of my life this would be it. I have had so may compliments when I wear this. Even from strangers. I used to save this mostly for going on evenings out as I didn't want to use it all up to easily. I would say that if you are looking to feel sexy, sultry and put together this is the scent for you. This is not child-like at all. I have tried and enjoyed many scents over the years, but this one never fails to make me feel like a sex kitten. I would be happy to receive this as a gift again this Xmas or even for my birthday in January, MASSIVE HINTS THROWN AT FELLA HERE ;) I will enjoy the necklace that is wound around the top of the bottle as a keepsake if nothing else.

JolieBox Nail File, Free with my June 2012 JolieBox

Who couldn't love a pink nail file. I have used this quite a bit, but it has worn out and is starting to bend near the middle so it's time to let it go.

Barry M Nail Paint in the shade 279 - Bright Pink, £2.66 with free delivery

NOTD post and review here.

Primark Ta Ta For Now Magic Undereye Concealer (Light), Unsure if still available?

Previously reviewed here.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate 16 Hour Wear Concealer (Light 2), £3.99 from Boots

'Collection 2000' is now known just as 'Collection' for reference. This is a really good concealer and for the price I would pick up again. It has a doe foot applicator. This tube has lasted me absolutely ages. I am very, very pale, but I got the shade Light 2 as the lighter shade was even a bit to light for me so if you are pale be sure to check out the testers first. This concealer covers blemishes well. I have a few red veins that need a little more coverage really, but for the average spot and/or bit of reddening this works really well. It goes on easily. I tap it in with my finger and it blends in with my foundation no problem. I use this under my eyes too and it does not crease. I does not go patchy or dry on my dry skin either. I could not tell you if this lasts 16 hours as I don't usually wear my make-up for more than about 12 hours when I'm at work, but it does a pretty good job for that long. The only bad thing about this product is the writing on the packaging. As you can see it has all rubbed off.

E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen (Black), £1.50 from eyeslipsface.co.uk, $1.00 from eyeslipsface.com

Usually I am a massive fan of buying products from E.L.F., but this one I was not impressed with. I have tried this quite a few times as I don't like to give up on products easily, but compared to other eyeliner pens this one just doesn't do the job. The nib does not stay solid and precise to get that smooth, clean line, but more than that it's just not really black how I want it to be. It's like a faded black. The coverage is not that great as it skips over the skin on the eyelid. When I go back over the line to fill in the gaps it then takes a bit of the product off that I have already applied. I have heard some people rave about this pen and some that have similar woes to mine so it might be a bit of a hit and miss product? I'm glad I tried it, but it's not for me.

So that's all my empty products from the last month. I hope you found these wee reviews helpful.

Love to you all

NOTD: Zoya Marina Professional Lacquer

Ello Poppets it's me once again. I have just painted my nails with a colour I received in my September Boudoir Prive Box, Link. I don't know why, but I put this with my nail polishes and just never used it.

As a base coat I applied 1 layer of my Alessandro Pro White Original that I received in my August GlossyBox. I then applied two coats of the Zoya Marina Professional Lacquer. You could just apply one coat of this if you do a thick layer, but I find that my nail polish lasts longer on my nails if I apply two coats as I only paint them once a week. This is described as a strongly blue-toned smoky silver-grey with a dusty metallic finish. It can look more blue or more grey depending on the lighting. This is my first Zoya Lacquer and I do really like the smoothness and opacity of the formula. I found this on ebay.com for various prices, Link.

Are you a fan of Zoya Professional Lacquers? What are your favourite shades?

Love to you all
