GLOSSYBOX: DECEMBER 2014

Hi gorgeous people and welcome to my last post of the day. Here are my first impressions of the December 2014 GlossyBox.

A 2-in-1 make-up product for lips and cheeks.

This has a buttery formula. The shade coral is great for every day wear and I think would suit all skin shades due to it's natural flushed hue. It also comes in the shade pink.

Salon quality treatment shots to instantly nourish the scalp and renew the hair leaving it 3 times stronger.

I love quick fixes when it comes to beauty so lets hope these do the trick.

With 2 formulas to work day and night so that the blemished area is constantly being treated.

It's great that it's travel friendly. I take it that it works under make-up if it has a day and night formula? I will of course test it out when one appears.

A compact product to define brows with a smudge-proof formula of two shades. A medium coverage for a natural look. Apply the darker shade to fill in sparse brows followed by the lighter shade over the entire brows.

I like the look of the shades in this compact for me, but I think a variety of compact shades would be better as a range to suit more hair colours. It's a great size that comes with a handy brush and a good sized mirror inside the compact.

Designed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and restore a healthy new skin glow. Massage into the face and neck twice a day.

I am always up for trying out new skincare, especially if it can give me a youthful glow.

I think this is a pretty good GlossyBox this month as there are a few treatment products to pep up the skin during party season as well as some make-up to define and enhance facial features.

GLOSSYBOX: STARS AND STRIPES

Hi beauties and Happy Sunday. How amazing has the weather been? A little erratic I know, but then in the UK that's normal. Today I have my first impressions of this month's American themed 'Stars and Stripes' GlossyBox for you.

This cult American favourite is formulated with natural waxes, mineral pigments and antioxidants, providing moisturising long lasting colour and protection against the sun.

I have the shade Ruby shown in the swatch above. This to me is a real American girl shade. This blue based red is stunning and highly pigmented. It feels very smooth and glided onto my hand beautifully. It appears to be quite moisturising in texture and I think this shade in particular will last quite well, but I of course will need to test this out when I wear it. The quilted packaging design of the lipstick tube really appeals to me. There are 5 other shades within this range which I would love to try.

An oil and fragrance free lightweight, moisturising formula to even out the skin tone, reducing redness and brightening the eyes while keeping eyeshadow crease-free and colour-true for a lasting look.

Apply this creamy formula with the doe foot applicator to the lids and blend with fingers.

It looks very similar to the E.L.F. eyelid primer. It has a skin tone shade that blends away sheer. I am looking forward to seeing how well my eye shadows last when using this product.

Loved by celebrities and make-up artists this staple product is designed to soothe, relieve and moisturise dry, chapped lips.

I have tried this on my lips today. The balm does feel very nourishing and softening. There is a slight tingling from the menthol, but it is not uncomfortable on the lips. I am not overly keen on the scent as I don't really enjoy beeswax products. I don't really like dipping my fingers into products like this either, but I will use it anyway as it does appear on my first application to have a nourishing formula. These are currently on a 3 for 2 offer in the link above.

This is a non-toxic, cruelty free nail polish.

The shade Glossy Seal that I have has been especially formulated for the July GlossyBox so I don't think you will be able to get your hands on it, sorry. However there are some really gorgeous shades within the collection, including some fantastic duo chromes so check out the link above. I have not tried this brand of nail polish before so I hope it applies well and lasts well too.

This is a lightweight daily moisturiser that offers sun protection as well as revitalising, brightening and age-defying benefits. For normal, mature, blemish, oily and combination skin types. Apply to a cleansed face and neck.

This has a seal on it so I won't open it yet. This is another new brand to me so I will let you know how I find this product to work on my skin.

The stand out product for me in this box so far is the lipstick. It's such an impact shade that will instantly make you look like you have put a lot of effort into your make-up whether you have or not.

What were your favourite GlossyBox products this month? Let me know your thoughts on these products if you have used them before also in the comments below.

BEAUTY BLOSSOM GLOSSYBOX

Hi there you gorgeous lot. My March GlossyBox has arrived which has aptly been named 'Beauty Blossom' to spring us into action.

Described as being light as meringue this body cream rubs in easily without stickiness.

This cream does sink into the skin quickly. I am a little undecided whether I like the scent or not. It does have an English country girl vibe about it though.

With a shade of light nude beige this tinted conditioning lip balm has a glossy sheen to enhance the pout of your lips. It also contains SPF15 to protect the lips. Available in 9 shades. Not tested on animals.

I wasn't too bothered about this shade when I saw it in the pot, but I actually think that this shade will look gorgeous on the lips suiting any skin tone. It is a nude beige which is a little peachy too. It does feel very conditioning on the lips which is no doubt due to the shea butter and almond oil. It does have a sweet almond scent also.

100% pure Mica shimmer for long lasting vibrant colour without smearing, creasing or fading. Suitable for all skin types. Can be used as an eye shadow, cream eye shadow, blush, eyeliner, lip colour, nail polish, tinted mascara or bronzer. See link above for different ways to use.

This shade is a very pretty pale pink shimmer that would be gorgeous on the eyes, especially for the inner corners. I think it would work well also over the top of a blush to create a blush/highlight. Before reading about all the ways this product can be used I thought it would look fab over the top of my Sleek MakeUp Pout Polish.

COUTURE LA LA MALIBU EAU DE TOILETTE (PINK PACKAGING)

This fragrance embodies the effortlessly glam California attitude as well as the bold and colourful spirit of L.A.

I really like this fresh scent. It's sweet and uplifting with mandarin zest. A gorgeous spring/summer fragrance.

JUICY COUTURE MALIBU EAU DE TOILETTE (ORANGE PACKAGING)

Reflecting the free-spirited California attitude while embracing the glamorous and confident essence of L.A.

This scent has more of a subtle zest without being sweet. A great everyday addition to your fragrance wardrobe.

DOVE HAIR THERAPY INTENSIVE REPAIR 60 SECOND TREATMENT SHOT ~ £1.49 FOR 15ML

Available at Sainsbury's and Superdrug. After shampooing massage through mid-lengths and ends. Rinse out after 60 seconds.

A quick hair treatment for those who are always busy. It looks like the same type of product we had in another GlossyBox from Tresemme. It's good value if it works well as the stopper can be reversed and popped back into the top for further use.

This month's GlossyBox is a good one I think. I love the make-up products and the fragrances so far and I will definitely use the body cream and hair treatment.

Nails, Face, Eyes & Lashes

Hi my loves it's lovely to have you here at Beautiful Addictions. I have four product reviews for you today so I will get cracking.

I have had this base coat for absolutely ages and although there is still some left in the bottom it's a little hard to get out. This looks like a baby pink shade, but it comes across clear on my nails. I have nothing bad to say about this base coat other than the brush could be a little longer to get all of the product from the bottom of the bottle easier. I always use base coat with polish, but my nails are still yellow stained so if you have any stain removal, prevention and/or whitening tips please let me know :)

I received this product in my May 2012 JolieBox. This is a very light make-up base suitable for all skin types. The formula is quite runny and feels like a refreshing moisturiser to apply. I haven't noticed a difference to the length of how long my make-up lasts to be honest.

Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen Jet Black

I have loved this pen liner from Eyeko for years now. I would certainly recommend this for ease of control when creating a feline flick on the eyes. These used to retail at £5.50 each, but now the Eyeko eyeliner pens appear to be called Skinny Liquid Eyeliner. I think the shade range is the same of Black, Purple, Brown & Blue. These retail at £10.00 each. I remember asking Eyeko on Twitter when these were free with a magazine if there was a difference between the Graffiti Eyeliner Pen and the Skinny Liquid Eyeliner. They said that the formula was improved. I wish I had picked one up now. For the Skinny Liquid Eyeliner click here or if you want to try the Graffiti Eyeliner Pen try Ebay or Amazon.

I received this in my April 2012 JolieBox. This was a really deep black pigment. This made my lashes look thicker and longer, but not as long as other mascaras have. The writing on the packaging has almost all rubbed off as you can see which is annoying if you wan to repurchase products.

So that's it for these four product reviews. Let me know your favourite nail base coat, face primer, eyeliner pen and mascara in the comments below with your reasons why.

Love to you all

FOTD: Will you be MesmerEyezd?

Ello ello beauties. How are you all on this dreadful rainy day? I feel for any of you that have had to venture out in this today. I have been sent some coloured contact lenses for free to review so I have this FOTD post for you :)

MesmerEyez Muliti-Purpose Solution, Lens Case and Lenses in left: Jade Green (Intense Range) & right: Royal Blue (Illusionz Range)

Left: Jade Green, Right: Royal Blue

I went for the Jade Green lenses for this FOTD as my eyes are already blue so you will hopefully see more of a difference.

This Jade Green shade is a little less intense than I had expected as I thought it was more of bright emerald green, but I still really like it. I quite like the misty effect that the lenses appear to have around the pupil area as it makes my pupils look a little smaller so that I think you notice the colour more. The edging of the lenses are very defined so I think that makes them look less natural than they could be, but I guess if you want your eyes to really pop it adds to that effect.

These were really easy to use for me, but then I am a contact lens wearer at least four days a week. You simply wash and dry yours hands, peel back the foil seal to the packet each lens is in and ensure that the lens is the correct way up for insertion into the eye. It's very easy to tell as the side with deep colouring is the side that will be on show. It should basically sit on the tip of your forefinger like a bowl with the edges curving inwards. Use the middle finger of your other hand to lift your top lid slightly and pull down with the middle finger of your hand with the lens to open the lower lid just a little and insert the lens with your forefinger. I can place mine straight onto the centre of my eye, but if yours need adjusting just look in different directions and the lens should slip into place. Blink a couple of times too as this sometimes helps.

The lenses I have are meant to last for 3 months once opened. To look at all of the fantastic range from MesmerEyez check out this link and use the colour studio to try the shades on the model. There are a variety of styles that are natural, intense, sexy or even wild. So if you fancy a change or just want something crazy to make those eyes pop these lenses could be a new addition to your night out.

3 Month lenses cost £19.99 (cleanser and lens case included). To purchase check this link.

Other products used in this FOTD are:

Helen É Cosmetics Stage Foundation Ultimate Performance Liquid Make-up For All Skin Types (Monroe - Very Fair Skin)*

Helen É Cosmetics Miracle Concealer*

E.L.F. Studio Translucent Matifying Powder

E.L.F. Studio Cool Bronzer

HD Brows Brow Beater

BellaPierre Cosmetics Lash Building Mascara Black

E.L.F. Studio Mist & Set

*Both Helen É Cosmetics were PR samples previously reviewed here.

Removing the lenses with clean hands pull down the lower lid gently, pinch the lens at the sides and pull out. You can look upwards if it makes it easier. Remove make-up AFTER removing lenses.

To store the lenses rinse to clean before placing in the lens case with solution for at least 6 hours. Rinse before placing the lenses into the eyes on next use. Change the solution in the lens case every week even if not in use. The lens case is labelled left and right, but I think it could be bolder so that it's a little easier to see.

I have been wearing these today for four hours and they have not bothered me at all. There is no irritation or discomfort. It is recommended to wear these for a maximum of 8 hours so I could not wear these to work as it's almost 12 hours for me from getting up to getting home. I would still wear them on a special occasion or night out though. These are not prescription lenses. They are only for cosmetic use.

Many thanks to Amazing PR for sending these out to me. I have always been curious to try coloured lenses so thank you.

Are you a fan of coloured lenses? Do you have any favourite colours, styles or brands? Let me know in the comments below.

Love to you all

April 2012 JolieBox

Hey Everyone. I hope you are all having a glorious weekend. Today I want to show you the contents of my April JolieBox and my initial thoughts of the products. This month's box is named 'The Changing Of The Seasons'.

Left To Right:

Balance Me Daily Essentials Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm ~ £20.00 For 125ml/£4.00 For 15ml

The Information:

Cleanse and smooth face balm is a daily must-have for its dual cleansing and smoothing action to enhance your skin’s natural radiance. Anti-oxidant rich Arctic cloudberry, gentle Roman chamomile and skin-brightening red mandarin smooth away daily grime and make-up leaving skin soft, radiant and calmly clean. Gently polishing oatmeal sloughs away dead skin cells and encourages cell renewal. Shea and cocoa butter, softening rosehip, camellia, kukui nut and virgin coconut oils, rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and lipids provide a layer of skin-boosting goodness which benefits both young and more mature skins. This balm is recommended for normal to dry/sensitive skins but it also works very effectively on all skin types.

Application:

Warm a small amount of balm in clean hands. Smooth over face and neck, gently massaging the balm with your finger tips in circular movements, allowing the oats to polish the skin for at least 30 seconds. Apply warm water and continue massaging for a further 30 seconds. Close eyes and wipe carefully over lids and eye lashes, avoiding direct contact with eyes. Wet a muslin cloth with warm water and remove balm residue from your skin. Pat skin dry then apply moisture-rich face cream or radiance face oil.

Ingredients:

Prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, Colloidal oatmeal, Cera alba (unrefined beeswax), Mangifera indica (mango) seed butter, Butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter***, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) butter, Polyglyceryl-4 caprate, Oleic/Linoleic/Linolenic polyglycerides, Hydroxystearic/Linolenic/Oleic polyglycerides, Rubus chamaemorus (cloudberry) seed extract, Cocos nucifera (virgin coconut) oil***, Aleurites moluccana (kukui) oil, Rosa canina (rosehip) fruit oil, Camellia oleifera (camellia) oil, Citrus reticulata (mandarin red)*, Litsea cubeba (litsea may chang)*, Citrus aurantium amara (petitgrain)*, Anthemis nobilis (Roman chamomile)*, Cananga odorata (ylang ylang)*, Coriandrum sativum (coriander)*, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, Limonene**, Linalool**, Citral *natural pure essential oil **naturally occurring in essential oils ***certified organic ingredient.

My Thoughts:

This product feels smooth on swatching. This is a liquid-gel formula with a citrus scent. I think this will be quite refreshing to use. I haven't used this type of liquid/gel wash off cleanser/make-up remover before so I am looking forward to seeing if I like it. The information for this product is not on the JolieBox website yet.

Tropic Skincare Skin Revive ~ £15.95

The Information:

It’s suitable for all skin types and contains gorgeous and organic ingredients. Bursting with vitamins and pure plant actives that help to visibly firm and intensely nourish the skin. The Shea Butter softens and hydrates the skin whilst blueberry is used to revitalise and rejuvenated. The Echinacea and Sea Kelp improve elasticity and help smooth fine lines.

Application:

Warm a small amount in the palms of your hands and massage into your face and neck in a circular and upwards motion. Before applying makeup, allow at least 1 minute for the rich ingredients to be absorbed into the skin. For best results apply after cleansing twice a day.

Ingredients:

Organic Aloe Vera Juice (aloe barbadensis leaf juice), Golden Jojoba Oil (simmondsia chinensis oil), Macadamia Oil (macadamiaternifolia oil), Rosehip Oil (rosa canina fruit oil), Avocado Oil (persea gratissima oil), Shea Butter (butyrospermum parkii), Vegetable Glycerin (glycerin), Coconut & Cassava emulsifier (cetearyl alcohol, cetearyl glucoside), Candelilla Wax (euphorbia cerifera wax), Soy Lecithin (lecithin), Organic Citrus extract (citrus extract), Vitamin E (tocopherol), Corn sugar gum (xanthan gum), Corn extract (sodium levulinate), Basil extract (sodium anisate), Sea Kelp extract (algae), Echinacea extract (echinacea purpurea leaf), Blueberry extract (vaccinium angustifolium fruit), Raspberry extract (rubus idaeus fruit), Camomile extract (anthemis nobilis flower), Organic Grapefruit Seed extract (citrus grandis seed), Calendula extract (calendula officinalis flower), Frankincense extract (boswellia carterii oil), Sweet Orange (citrus aurantium dulcis peel oil), Rose Geranium (pelargonium graveolens oil), Lavender (lavandula angustifolia oil), Honeysuckle extract (lonicera japonica) ternifolia oil, rosa canina fruit oil, persea gratissima oil, butyrospermum parkii, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, cetearyl glucoside, euphorbia cerifera wax, lecithin, citrus*,tocopherol, xanthan gum, sodium.

My Thoughts:

I am not sure about the smell of this, but it does smooth into the skin very easily. I wasn't too sure if this was for my face or body before looking up the information on the JolieBox website as it wasn't clear on the information card. I will give this a try.

Pure Fiji Exotic Bath and Body Oil ~ £24.50 For 235ml/8oz

The Information:

For centuries Pacific islanders have used a blend of virgin coconut oil and exotic nut extracts to moisturize, nourish and protect both skin and hair. This nourishing blend absorbs quickly and will rejuvenate, replenish, hydrate, nourish and firm your skin.

Application:

Use as a massage oil, bath oil or daily moisturizing treatment.

My Thoughts:

Another multi-tasker which I love the idea of. This product can be used on the body, hair and scalp. Coconut fans will absolutely love this scent. It smells gorgeous, just like an exotic holiday in a bottle. It sinks into the skin instantly and is not at all greasy like some oils can be. The product information for this is not yet on the JolieBox website.

BellaPierre Black Mascara ~ £19.99

The Information:

Bellapierre long lasting black mascara was formulated to help create thicker and fuller lashes.

Application:

Apply the mascara to the upper lashes first. Take the brush and hold it underneath the top lashes close to the roots and sweep brush upwards from roots to tips. Apply a few coats to build your lashes to the desired volume. For bottom lashes, use the tip of the brush to apply a thin coat of mascara in delicate strokes.

Ingredients:

Water, Iron Oxides CI 77489, 77491, 77492, 77499, Polyisobutene, Acrylates/ Octylacrylamide Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Peg-100 Stearate, Copernica Cerfera (Carnauba) Wax, Hexylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Polyacrylate, Cholesterol C12-13, Iso-Alkylate and Olea (Olive) Europaea Oil Unsaponisiables Silk Powder.

My Thoughts:

A mascara is always handy. It's nice that it's a full size product. I love finding a great mascara so lets hope it is for £19.99. I do like the packaging. It's simple and chic. This was not on the JolieBox website either.

KMS California ~ £Various

The Information:

Flexible shaping and elastic hold. Unlimited, protective heat styling without the damage. Styles last until the next wash. Humidity resistance. Restyleability. Anti-breakage.

Application:

Spray into towel-dried hair, blow dry and shape with hot tools. For maximum shaping, spray section by section.

My Thoughts:

I could not find this on the JolieBox website and when I looked on the KMS California website there was product information, but I could not find a price so I have added a Google search link above. I guess this product is meant to work for people that wash their hair every other day, but may style it with hot tools every day. It's good if it works, but I'm not the best tester for this as I only blow dry my hair.

So now onto the 2nd issue of the JOLIEMAG.

There is a variety of goodness in this month's magazine including interviews, April Pastels, Contour and Highlighting Tips, Spring Trends and Flawless Face Tips. There is also a discount code for boticca.com.

I will use all of the products in this month's box, but the ones I am most looking forward to trying are the Balance Me Daily Essentials Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm, the Pure Fiji Exotic Bath and Body Oil and the BellaPierre Black Mascara.

For more information on JolieBox please see this link here.

Which products did you receive in your JolieBox this month? Do you think you will enjoy using them?

November Feelunique Beauty Box

Hello my Lovelies. Thank God it's Friday. I have blisters on my feet from my new shoes, but it's the start of the weekend so who cares. My Feelunique Beauty Box got lost in the post so this is why I am so late in showing you a post about it. This month's box is named 'Primed To Party'. The aim it seems is to get you through the busy Xmas party season while still maintaining your beauty. These are the products that I received.

Left to Right: Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm, Link :), Emma Hardie Amazing Face Dual Action Professional Cleansing Cloth, Link :), Schwarzkopf Professional OSIS+ Dust It Mattifying Powder, Link :) & Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe (Dark), Link :)

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm - £34.00 for 100ml

The information:

This best-seller is the ultimate radiant-enhancing cleanser to prep your skin for a season of glowing!

  • Thoroughly cleanses and moisturises
  • Helps to purify and minimises the appearance of open pores
  • Calming for sensitive skin
  • Revitalising for dull and mature skins
  • Can be used as a rescue balm, i.e. on dry elbows or knees, or as a lip balm
  • Doubles as a soothing mask if left on the skin for 10 minutes

Key Ingredients:

Moringa seed extract, Wild Sea Fennel, Vitamin E, Orange, Neroli and Mandarin extracts, Jasmine, Cedarwood and Rose.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Dual Action Professional Cleansing Cloth - £10.00 for 3

The information:

  • Ensures skin is super clean, helping to remove all last traces of make-up
  • Can be used alone without product to gently buff and polish the skin
  • Fabulous for travel, creating a mini facial on the go

Application:

Mix a few drops of warm water with the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm in the palm of your hand to create a milk. Apply to the face, neck & eye area & massage thoroughly in circular motions to melt away make-up, excess oils and grime. To remove soak Emma Hardie Amazing Face Dual Action Professional Cleansing Cloth in warm water. Squeeze out the excess and  gently wipe over the whole face & neck, taking extra care around the delicate eye area. Use the gently abrasive muslin side of the cloth to exfoliate dry, lined, thickened and congested areas and the smoother micro fibre side for more delicate and sensitive areas. Skin is left feeling clean, smooth and supple; never tight. Use morning and night.

I will be interested to compare this cleansing balm and cloth to my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish with pure muslin cloth. This balm has a subtle scent. At first glance I thought it was an exfoliater due to it's appearance. It does have a very smooth texture to it though. The cloth feels like a very soft flannel on one side and a muslin cloth on the other. I like the idea of it being a rescue balm as multi-purpose products are always good. Plus it can be used as a nice treat as a mask. It's good that it can also be used without product, but I am a little unsure about the fact that it says to use this morning and night though. I thought that you should not use facial exfoliaters more than 2-3 times a week? Can anyone advise on this as I have very dry skin? I'm not sure that I would pay this much for a cleansing balm, but I will test it before I rule it out. I think the cloths are good value though.

Schwarzkopf Professional OSIS+ Dust It Mattifying Powder - £9.55 for 10g

The information:

This best-selling Dust It comes in a lightweight powder that gives versatile control - the more you apply the more control you get, with incredible 24 hour volume effect!

Application:

Rub the powder in your hands until it turns into a cream, apply to dry hair then style and texture to achieve the ultimate party look. You can also turn the head up-side-down, apply like salt & pepper, distribute into the roots for a strong and wild finish. For a stronger matt look apply product into damp hair. Rake into shape and leave to dry.

I am not too keen on the idea of using powder products in my hair, but the fact that his turns into a cream I will give it a try. I usually find creams leave my hair flatter than when I put nothing in though. I'm not sold on the 24 hour volume effect! Can a product really do that? I'm not so sure. I would say this is a mid-range priced hair styling product. I think there will probably be cheaper alternatives.

Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe (Dark) - £21.50 for 236ml

The information:

This ultra-sheer instant colour formula gives you an instant healthy glow. It's easy to apply, completely streak-free and smells delicious. Get a gorgeous glow that'll last for up to seven days, and a confidence boost that'll last even longer! Voted Best Ever Beauty Buy by Elle Beauty, this is the ultimate self-tan indulgence. Offering outstanding results. It contains more DHA than Xen Tan's best-selling Deep Bronze product, so offers a deeper colour after just one application. Plus the larger pack means you'll enjoy even more tans from each purchase. It also contains additional vitamin E, Green Tea and skin-loving anti-oxidants that soothe, smooth and nourish skin while providing an instant and natural colour you'll love. What's more the pleasant vanilla fragrance will leave you feeling wrapped in luxury.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Dihydroxyacetone, Glycerine, Trimethylpentanediol/Adipic Acid Copolymer, Cyclomethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Stearyl Alcohol, Steareth-21, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Tocopheryl Acetate, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Silybum Marianum Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Xanthan Gum, DMDM Hydantoin, Sodium Metabisulfite, Lactic Acid, Parfum, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-t-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Caramel, CI 47005, CI 42090, CI 16035.

I purchased the Xen-Tan Dark Lotion a while ago, but never used it as I am always quite cautious when applying fake-tans. Some people manage to just slap them on and they come out perfectly, but I am not that gifted or that confident. Now I have this tube which can be applied to the face and body I will probably just use this for top ups on my face when I apply the Dark Lotion. This has now motivated me to give it a try. Keep your fingers crossed for me ;) I don't think the price is too bad for this product if it works as great fake-tan is not always easy to achieve and from the reviews I have seen Xen-Tan appears to have much more positive feedback than negative.

Left to Right: Goldwell DualSenses Rich Repair 60 Sec Treatment, Link :), BellaPierre Cosmetics Mineral Shimmer Powder (Champagne), Link :) & Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir Eau De Parfum Spray, Link :)

Goldwell DualSenses Rich Repair 60 Sec Treatment - £7.70 for 200ml

The information:

We all need a quick pick me up at times & so does our hair. That's why Goldwell have produced this wondrous & ultra fast-working product for dry, damaged hair. It claims to leave hair silky, soft and with an enviable healthy glow.

Application:

After shampooing, apply & comb through hair, leave on for 60 seconds then rinse thoroughly. The result will be instantly manageable locks with gorgeous shine and bounce!

This has a fresh smell to it. I like to use a hair treatment once a week so it's good to have, but it's another hair product in the same box so I would have preferred maybe a nail polish? I would rather have this than the Schwarzkopf Professional OSIS+ Dust It Mattifying Powder though. I think the price is fair, but it's hard to know without trying as there are cheaper alternatives out there.

BellaPierre Shimmer Powder (Champagne) - £59.99 for a stack of 9 shades, including Champagne from the Bella Collection

The information:

This multi-purpose shimmer powder is a must-have for adding some sparkle to your look - especially when you get the last minute office-to-party invite! It's completely multi-tasking so you can use as an eye shadow or add to your eye liner, lip gloss, blusher, body bronzer, hair highlighter, nail polish and mascara ... the possibilities are endless.

  • Will not crease, clump, fade or smear
  • Made from 100% natural pigments
  • Hypo-allergenic - suitable for sensitive skin
  • Longest wearing make-up available
  • Washes off with soap and water
  • No dyes, fillers, additives or preservatives
  • Suitable for mixing with other BellaPierre products

The other shades included in the stack of 9 from the Bella Collection are Earth, Harmony, Java, Bronze, Celebration, Cinnibar, Noir & Snowflake.

This can be used as a nice subtle shimmer, but it also looks to be very builable too for heavier pigmentation. I like the shade and the fact that it can be used in a variety of ways. It makes very big claims by saying that it will not crease, clump, fade or smear. Also claiming to be the longest wearing make-up available. That has me intrigued if nothing else. For the stack of 9 shades it works out to be approximately £6.66 per shade which isn't that bad providing you like all of the shades. Perhaps a nice present for someone who enjoys pigments though.

Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir Eau De Parfum Spray- £46.75 for 50ml/£59.50 for 75ml

The information:

A sophisticated and addictive fragrance inspired by the lighter side of the Jasmine flower at dawn. The scent has crisp and refreshing top notes, a stunning combination of two types of Jasmine at the heart, and a sensual woody musk base. A light and elegant fragrance.

I would say this is a sexy day-to-night scent. Floral and very wearable. I will use this sample and I think the price is not bad, but I'm not in love with it.

So that's it. Overall the products that I am really happy to try are the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm, the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Dual Action Professional Cleansing Cloth, the Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe (Dark) and the BellaPierre Shimmer Powder (Champagne). I am happy to wear the perfume too. I think that's pretty good to like this many products in one box. Well done Feelunique.
